Expanse is bae tbh. The show is also very good but some changes made me sad. I been meaning to get to the Three Body Problem too! I joined a subreddit dedicated to it and read through posts all the time with only a very basic grasp of what they are talking about lol.
WORLDS BEYOND NUMBER. A fellow man of great taste. Garou you are simply the cooliest. Come play DnD with us plox.

My mind has a tough time focusing on its best day, but I find audiobooks to be on the easier side to absorb than reading and trusting my mind to retain beyond short stories.
That being said, shock to likely none I can enjoy audio books/ audio dramas of Isaac Asimov
I also like novelizations of movies to contrast the depictions to the scenes and how they add so much to each character even those with limited time as the likes of terminator brief characters that run or die are given a good deal more into them.
Think the last major book I was aided in retaining my attention to read was paradise lost or lord of the flies. Still love audio dramas and hope they make a comeback and audiobooks are great to relax to, fall to sleep to, or simply play in place of a game soundtrack.

Not unlike what you (OP) said, I didn't read any fiction from the age of 18 to 26. I read autobiographies, mostly of musicians. Those were more to my interest at the time, even though they took me a small eternity to get through. I've read as much as I can in the years since then. I am a big fan of Stephen King and his son, Joe Hill. Another one I've taken to reading in the last couple years is Lawrence Block, whom I found through Hard Case Crime (which quickly became a go-to publisher for me). Block is really good at the pulp-sleaze-crime thing and is very engaging to read. The last book I finished was Gypsy In Amber by Martin Cruz Smith, my current book is Borderline by Lawrence Block, and I'm not sure what I'll get to next. I've got a few Elmore Leonard novels that I bought but haven't read.

But yeah I think the first 2-3 seasons of Expanse show did an amazing job and then it diverged a bit. Preferred the intro to the gates and that whole arc in the books by so much, Bull is my fuckin hero. A bit weird how they changed Ashford too, but I didn't dislike him in the show at all just thought it was a weird change to make. I didn't know there was a subreddit for it but that makes sense. Also on my list is Dark Matter, any SF nerds in here read that?

I listen to audiobooks non stop. My favorite series is the ender game series. I like Star wars but most of the books are abridge and I don't like that.
The last two years I've started reading a lot of financial and history books. One of my bucket list is to read the book on each president. I'm almost done with Washington.
Then of course there is lotr (the simirilian is actually really good fantasy).
