Remembering the beginning

Slowly Ginyu gained consciousness as his assailant’s fist loosened around the captains neck. A crowd had gathered to watch the ill-fated match between Jinto and Captain Ginyu. Both were members of an elite fighting unit which consisted of several highly trained fighters from around the universe. Jinto was the commander and Ginyu his newly appointed captain.

Jinto had been accustomed to the ravages of war since his early youth. He had spent his childhood traveling from one refugee camp to another. Until Jinto matured, it seemed as though war had always found him. It was when he turned 24, that he found his calling in the services of a determined warlord on the planet Frieza. Now Jinto commanded one of the most elite fighting forces in the western quadrant of the universe.

“Challenge me again and my grip shall not loosen,” exclaimed Jinto as Ginyu dropped to the ground, grasping for air. The crowd watched with anticipation.

“Cough, cough, spit, cough” Ginyu struggled to catch his breath as the burning sensation in his throat faded. Stammering to his feet, the Captain watched as his Commander turned his back and began to walk towards his tent.

“I am waiting.” whispered Jinto as he continued to put distance between him and Ginyu. “Challenging me, will only get you hurt…” he continued, “and I don’t need my captain hurt before our next mission.”

Regaining his strength, Ginyu settle his boots into the dry soil and summoned his ki for a beam ball attack. “Wait no longer!”, yelled Ginyu as he leaned forward releasing the energy. A white beam of light emitted, racing towards the Commander. Ginyu smiled, hoping to score with this attack.

Jinto’s intuition and superior abilities warned him of the approaching danger and at the last possible moment he spun around , falling to the ground. “So predictable,” whispered Jinto.

The smile on Ginyu’s face slowly turned upside down as he watched his opponent drop to the ground, dodging his blast. He could barely make out the words , but it looked as though his Commander was mocking him. Enraged, Ginyu charged another attack, this time he wasn’t going to miss. The crowd stumbled back as energy emitted from Ginyu. “

Jinto got to his feet, dusting himself off. “Here I come,” he yelled as he began to sprint towards Ginyu. From each of Jinto’s hands, a red glow appeared. With each step the glow enlarged, engulfing the Commander’s hands up to his elbows. Watching Ginyu, Jinto stopped and secured his feet into the ground, “Mahnkaou Chitooooohaaaaa!” he yelled, pulling his arms to his chest and then throwing them in the direction of Ginyu.

Ginyu saw Jinto charge his attack and suddenly some to a stop. The commander disappeared behind a bright red glow and all Ginyu could hears was some foreign language, yelled out by his Commander. “Damn you Jinto!“, he yelled as the blast closed in on him. Before Ginyu could release his attack, he was engulfed. His body was blown back three-hundred yards, smashing through tents and other structures. The spectators all gathered around the charred body of the once-mighty Ginyu. They parted like the sea, as Jinto approached Captain Ginyu.

“You must first learn your place,” began Jinto, “if you are to be a part of my unit.” Jinto leaned over Ginyu’s body. “You have experienced a humiliating defeat,” explained the Commander, “now I will teach you to deal the same to your enemies.” Jinto gestured to a subordinate. “Take Ginyu to the rejuvenation tank.”

Without hesitation, the underling followed the order and dragged Ginyu to the rehab clinic.

Though Ginyu was near unconscious, his mind still plotted. “Soon,” he thought, “your time will come.”

The liquid was cold as it drained from the rejuvination tank. Ginyu, who was once suspended in the healing liquid, fell to the bottom of the tank. Guldo extended his hand to help Ginyu out.

“Let’s get you outa here,” whispered the frog-like Guldo.

Guldo was a small yet powerful member of the task force, headed by Jinto. He had been a member for eight years and seen many planets fall under the might of the rulers of Freiza. Guldo had warmed up to the Captain two years ago, when Ginyu was first accepted into the unit. Since then, the two have become a fearsome duo in the battlefields.

As Guldo helped Ginyu out of the tank, he noticed a smile on the Captain’s face. “What’s up Cap?”, he asked.

Ginyu, now standing on his own, shook off the excess liquid. “I’ve got Jinto just where I want,” he began.

Guldo blinked his eyes, as his mouth slowly widened. “What are you talking about?”, another question.

The captain began towards the exit, trying to find more privacy. Realizing this, Guldo followed quickly and the two left the Rejuvination Center.

Outside, the sun had set and the night air smelled of roasted pig. In the main camp there was a group of soldiers, huddled around a small fire. Above the fire was the carcass of a pig, slowly roasting. The flames flared as liquid fat dripped from the meat. With the smell invading Ginyu’s nostrils, he heard his stomach begging to be fed.

“Let’s grab a bite and I’ll tell you more,” spoke Ginyu as they continued towards his tent.

Ginyu’s tent wasn’t extravagant, however by it’s size and placement in the camp, it was a mistake to assume this belonged to any other. The tent stood 12 feet tall and was large enough to fit twelve ginyus inside. In the corner was his bed and next to it a small table with a ratty old book. In the opposite corner was a makeshift sink and next to it an iron stand with a bowl on top. A small fire was burning inside the bowl, casting a glow throughout the tent. In the middle, there was a table surrounded by a few chairs. Ginyu slumped into on, helping himself to some left-over food on the table. Guldo took the chair across and waited.

“I am starved,” exclaimed Ginyu as he gulped down what was left of his food. “So,” he began, “as I was saying.”

Guldo listened as Ginyu laid out his scheme.

Guldo left the tent. The information Ginyu had shared with him was troublesome, yet enticing. Guldo smiled as he went to his own tent. “This may work,” he thought to himself.

Hours later an alarm sounded. This was not an alarm clock, but that of a siren. The sound was piercing, waking everyone in the camp. Ginyu was abruptly waken from his slumber. “What the hell,” he complained. “Are we being invaded?” Ginyu jumped out of bed and suited up. He heard loud commotion from outside his tent.

“I can’t believe it.” spoke one warrior to another.

“Who would dare attack the Lords of Frieza?” asked the other.

Ginyu stepped out of his tent, startling the two warriors. “Get your asses to your posts,” he commanded “and be ready to fight.”

Ginyu rushed to Jinto’s tent, but his Commander was already awake and talking with other members of their unit.

“The invaders are coming from the south,” Jinto informed.

Everyone was huddled around a small table with a topographical map of their terrain. There were markings of where the camp was and then 5 miles south were additional markings. These represented the location of the enemy.

Ginyu sat himself between Guldo and a giant red-haired soldier. He listened as Jinto continued.

“Our lord has ordered that we infiltrate the enemy before they reach us,” the Commander explained. “We are to leave immediately and fly southwest..” he continued, “we should reach our enemy in 10 minutes.”

Members of the unit exchanged glances and chuckled. All were eager to fight and some... thirsty for blood.

Jinto moved around the group and continued, “Upon arriving to our destination we are to annihilate the enemy, focusing on any air-borne infantry.” Jinto paused, “Our Lord does not want this enemy reaching our base.” The commander pointed at the markings with a large circle around it, indicating the location of our base. “Once they are destroyed we will direct our firepower to the rest of the enemy.”
Those around the table began to shuffle their feet. Most were anxious and could nut control their hunger.

“I want all of you to gather your things,” Jinto commanded, “we leave in 3 minutes.”

Everyone saluted the Commander and hurried out of the tent. Captain Ginyu remained.

“How many are there?” he asked the Commander.

Jinto remained silent and then slowly began. “There are easily 1200 enemy troops making their way towards our camp,” answered the Commander, “With all the new recruits, we are sure to sustain heavy losses.”

Ginyu just listened as Jinto continued.

"This is why our men will sneak up on them first for a quick blow and just a warning Ginyu,” Jinto paused, “this enemy is no stranger to us.” He watched as his Captain listened. “They are the Dramkenians, and I am sure they want revenge.”

Ginyu’s eyes widened, with what Jinto just shared with him. “He must be mistaken,” thought Ginyu.

Ginyu left the tent to meet the others at the rendezvous point. There were 14 members total. All fearsome fighting machines, ready to deal the hand of death when ordered. They waited as Jinto arrived.

“We are all here and ready.” reported Captain Ginyu.

Jinto looked over his men and signaled for departure. One by one, each member took to the air. Ginyu was the last to take flight and once all were airborne, they proceeded southwest as their Commander had planned.

“Ten minutes before we reach our enemy,” thought Ginyu, “How could any Dramkens have survived our invasion?” he asked himself as he speeded past the terrain below.

The Dramkens were a fierce species of lizard-like creatures. They were known for their relentless torturing of captured foes and their ability to blend into the surrounding environment during battle. Their planet, Dramkonia was overgrown with foliage and consisted of very few mountains. It was seventy percent water and with that most Dramkens were amphibious, making them equally challenging both on land and in the water.

Two years ago, Jinto was ordered to infiltrate the Dramkens and assassinate their King. Without question, Jinto and his unit of mercenaries took to their space pods and departed for the planet. It took 3 long months to reach the planet and upon arriving, Jinto and his men did not hesitate to carry out their task. Within a week, Jinto was back in his pod and already plotting his course back home. He was shy two members of his unit. This was the cost of carrying out his orders. He had succeeded in poisoning the king and upon escaping the Dramken fortress, two of his soldiers were captured and surely tortured to death. Jinto trusted his men did not give up the coordinates of their home planet.

As the scenery whipped past Ginyu, he remembered the story of Jinto’s mission against the Dramkens. He also remembered how they had returned to the Dramken planet and finished off all the remaining inhabitants. “Or so we thought,” worried Ginyu.

All fourteen men were making good time as they continued towards the advancing lizard-men. Jinto was in front, with Ginyu following on his left and Guldo on the right. The other members followed in pairs forming a V. Just ahead was a ridge, that shot upward and beyond it, their enemy.

“Ginyu ready!” reported Ginyu through his scouter as they approached the ridge. Shortly following, each member checked off until all fourteen men had signaled they were ready. Jinto lowered his altitude to seven feet off the ground and the men did the same. Their formation now spanned out into one long row of all fourteen.

“Remember,” Jinto barked, “We take out any aerial fighters first.”

Ginyu confirmed the command and then shouted, “To each victory or defeat,” he chanted “Make it memorable.”

The early morning was quiet except for the occasional chirp of the local birds. The sun had just broke over the horizon casting is glow upon the Dramkenian encampment. Most of the lizard-like warriors were fast asleep. A few scouts roamed the area, some on foot and others on small airbikes. Those that were awake did not notice the shadows dropping over the mountainous ridge to the north.

As the shadows dropped down the mountainside, they started to break off, surrounding the enemy camp. Ginyu headed to the south end of the camp, where he had spotted an ammunitions stash. Guldo was quickly following behind. The other members had separated and were now position in various points around the camp. Each waited for the signal to attack, a signal that was not to be mistaken.

“Quietly”, Ginyu whispered as he came up to the tent, which was sure to house arm blasters, blades, and who knows what other death-dealing devices. Guldo silently nodded his head as he followed the Captain. There were two guards outside the tent entrance and a third was walking a perimeter around the tent. There was a faint glow from inside the tent, sure enough, someone was inside. “Possibly taking a break?” assumed Ginyu as he unsheathed his dagger. He turned to Guldo and signaled with his hands, how many there were and their planned attack.

Guldo understood the sign-language and adjusted his arm blaster to silent. He then floated to behind a large boulder at the back of the tent and waited as he watch Ginyu advance to his first target.

The Dramken warrior was making his second trip around the tent. In his hands was a rifle-blaster. This long weapon was ideal for ranged combat, however the quick-charge feature made it adaptable for close combat as well. He rounded the rear corner of the tent and as he passed a large boulder, his thoughts suddenly stopped. The weapon in his claws dropped to the ground and he was unable to look down to retrieve it. Instead his eyes began to blur as a liquid ran down the front of his face, burning his eyes. There was no noise of alarm that escaped the lizards mouth. The Dramken tried to move his body but it would not respond. The burning sensation subsided and in moments his view clouded as he fell into a slumber. The body of the Dramken fell to the ground with the help of Ginyu, as to make no sound at all. Ginyu surveyed the area for any activity that might indicate the enemy was aware of his presence. Satisfied that he was still unseen, Ginyu slowly pulled his blade from out the skull of the fallen Dramken.

“One down,” he noted, “at least three more to go” Ginyu wiped the blood from the blade and proceeded alongside the tent. Still hovering above the ground, he could hear the two guards having a conversation in a language that he could not understand. Ginyu signaled to Guldo that he was going to make his move. And disappeared around the corner.

Guldo waited as he heard a muffled groan and some shuffling. There was a clank, maybe the sound of a blaster hitting the ground. Guldo watched the glow in the tent vanquish and in moments a line appeared at the rear wall of the tent. The line started a the top and slid down, parting the fabric to make a rear entrance. Ginyu’s hand further widened the opening which allowed Guldo to enter the tent from the rear.

Inside the tent lay three lizard warriors, all of which were lifeless. Guldo knew that Ginyu had easily disposed of these guards and now it was his turn to dispose of the weapons storage. Guldo pulled from his utility belt, a small round device. This device was a high capacity explosive. Guldo had trained with such devices and tuned this particular one to only disintegrate the area of which the tent they were in resided on.

Ginyu left the tent through the self made exit and shortly after Guldo followed, minus one explosive device. The two took to the air and flew back up the ridge, making their way to another tent on the opposite side of where they were just at. Ginyu read his scouter, acknowledging that the other members had already taken out several sentries. “Proceed!” ordered Ginyu as he looked down at Guldo.

Guldo, smirked as he reached for his wrist and pressed a button on his arm blaster. Three seconds later a loud explosion rang through the enemy camp. The tent that housed the weapons was engulfed in flames as the mushroom-like cloud of smoke rose into the air. Hundreds of Dramken warriors flooded out of their tents, blasters raised. They just watched as the flames from the explosion licked at the sky.

Jinto and his men did not hesitate and advanced on their enemy, taking advantage of the Dramkens momentary distraction.

The thick smell of death floated throughout the enemy camp. It was midday and the sun baked the blood-soaked ground. The occasional scream of pain rang through the empty, destroyed tents. This was the sound of someone being tortured. The Dramken camp was littered with the bodies of the fallen. It had only been a coupled of hours since Jinto's men had attacked and already the enemies numbers were reduced to a few stragglers, who were being hunted down by Jinto and others.

Guldo ran through the tattered battlefield. Each turn around a tent revealed another tent. Some splattered with blood, others completely destroyed. He rounded a final tent and stopped. Just beyond some flames he saw Ginyu and two of the enemy. He watched, as he closed in, hiding behind a pile of debris.

Surrounded by bodies, flame and the ravages of war, Ginyu stood in a ready stance, blade in his right hand. The two lizard-men circled him, their lips pulled back, revealing their teeth. Each Dramken wielded a battle sword. Ginyu could feel their power fluctuating as they tried to control their rage. Smiling, Ginyu pointed at the smaller of the two and with slow-motion, raised his hand, blade at ready and pulled it across his neck. The blade sliced through the air, inches from Ginyu’s throat. “I’ll be killing you first,” said Ginyu, finishing the gesture.

Both Dramken warriors snarled and raised their swords. The smaller one charged at Ginyu, yelling in a language not understandable. Sure enough, it was a threat. As it approached, the lizard slammed it’s tail into the ground. The force sent the lizard flying into the air, as it continued to snarl. Raising the sword above it’s head it came down on Ginyu.

The Captain watched, calculating his opponent, while still keeping an eye on the other. As the lizard leapt into the air, Ginyu dove back, nearly missed by the slash as the Dramken came crashing down. Ginyu landed on his back, and spun his legs like a helicopter catching the lizard in the jaw, He then leapt back onto his feet and charged the larger lizard, who was still watching.

The small one growled from the blow to the face, but was more irritated with missing his enemy. It stumbled to it’s feet and raced after Ginyu, sword in one hand.

Just as Ginyu reached his target, there was a burning pain across his back . The smaller lizard had reached Ginyu and slashed his back, but the saiyan armor prevented the blow from being fatal. Ginyu, stumbled into the larger lizard and both slammed into a nearby tent.

The smaller one, stopped and waited, hissing another phrase.

Guldo tensed up watching the events unfold.

Ginyu howled as he struggled with his enemy under the fabric of the tent. The two grappled each other and shouts rang. The lizard, clawed his way out of the tent and was chased by Ginyu. Both were free from the tent and continued to battle. The Captain threw three punches, followed by an uppercut, each hit connecting with it’s target. Finishing the combo, Ginyu crouched down, snapping out his foot. The move was fast and the lizard fell onto it’s chest.

The smaller lizard man saw what transpired and slowly moved towards the two.

Ginyu continued to assault his opponent with a flurry of kicks and stomps. This enemy was large, but lacked speed and apparently any fighting skills. With each hit, the lizard hissed and snarled. Ginyu flew into the air and charged up an energy blast. “ahh…” he yelled as he extended his arm, palm open. Inches from his palm a ball appeared, bright orange. It increased in size to that of a basketball. “HAAHH!”, finished Ginyu as he let go the energy blast and watched as it raced towards the fallen Dramken.

The smaller lizard paused as the blast disintegrated his brother, leaving only a crater in the ground. Realizing the power of his enemy, the Dramken rethought it’s strategy.

Above the large crater, floated Ginyu. He had just provided his enemy with a one-way-ticket to the nether world. Approaching the crater below was a small figure. Ginyu knew that he was far from done and descended on another opponent.

The Dramken hissed as he searched for any remains of his brother. Nothing was left but smoldering dirt and rocks. It looked up and saw the Captain closing in. Fully enraged, the lizard reached into it’s utility belt and pulled out a small vial.

Ginyu noticed some movement below and watched as the lizard raised it’s hand to its snout and then back down. “What the hell?” Ginyu asked himself, decreasing the distance between the two.

The lizard threw the vial to the ground and choked. The liquid tasted of tar. Soon the Dramken fell to the ground as it’s body spasm out of control.

The small lizard man’s body pulsated and with each spasm it’s muscles increased, stretching the greenish, scaly skin. In a matter of minutes it’s size had doubled, and now the lizard-like warrior was getting to it’s feet.

Ginyu lowered to the ground, landing softly. He gazed upon the creature “I will destroy you!” yelled Ginyu as he charged at the beast.

The Dramken warrior smashed it’s fists against it’s chest and growled as it ran to meet with Ginyu. Lowering it’s arms, the razor sharp claws extended, as the warrior continued it’s sprint.

Ginyu increased his speed, yellow out, “Blast ATTACK!” Soon his body glowed in a purple aura and suddenly he vanished.

The lizard warrior stopped suddenly, digging it’s claws into the ground. Looking around, the Dramken hissed in frustration.

In seconds, Ginyu materialized behind the lizard and released several energy balls into it’s back, disappearing again.

The lizard stumbled forward and reached for the burns on it’s back. The Dramken looked around again and saw nothing, just tattered tents, dead bodies, and other groups of warriors battling it out. Suddenly the lizard’s feet were pulled from under it and the Dramken fell to the ground, looking up to see Ginyu.

Smiling, Ginyu unsheathed his blade and came down on the beast with great speed.

The fallen lizard whipped out it’s tail and disarmed Ginyu with one quick move.

Ginyu’s blade was lost and he continued to fall onto the Dramken warrior. They exchanged blows, both countering each other’s attacks. They were soon back on their feet, squaring off for another assault.

The Dramken warrior threw a left hook, claws extended. It watched as Ginyu ducked under it and slammed his elbow into it’s body. Spit flew from the lizard’s mouth as the blow rocked it’s body.

Ginyu, relaxed a moment and then tensed, his eyes raging. Ginyu quickly rotated his waist and slammed his fist into the same spot that his elbow had just been. This blow contained even more power as Ginyu increased his rage. “Blast ATTACK” he yelled as he rotated once more, sending his other fist into the gut of the Dramken warrior. Only this time before making contact a ball of energy engulfed Ginyu’s fist and as it connected with it’s target an explosion rang. Ginyu’s opponent was sent flying through the air and crashed through several tents, before coming to a stop, it’s stomach ripped open.

Ginyu rose to his feet and walked towards his victim. "That vial was of no use." he thought to himself as he was joined by Guldo.
“Where the hell were you?” asked Ginyu.

Guldo chuckled, “Looks like you handled yourself just fine.”

Laughing , the two approached the dead warrior, it’s inside sprawled on the ground,, and a large cavity in it’s stomach.

Satisfied, Ginyu turned to Guldo. “Let’s find Jinto and report in.”

Guldo agreed, but noticed the devious smirk that appeared on Ginyu’s face as he spoke.

“Ginyu,” Jinto barked, “Your progress through the ranks and your improved fighting abilities have caught both my eye and that of Lord Frieza‘s.” He continued, “I want you to join my unit of mercenaries…”

The sentence trailed off, as the image of his acceptance into Jinto’s team faded. Ginyu opened his eyes and realized he was still in the Dramken camp that he, along with Jinto’s unit had successfully immobilized. Standing next to him was a short green frog-like creature, who was mumbling as they walked toward the only unscathed tent in sight. From inside the tent there was a loud commotion as fellow warriors celebrated their victory. The entrance into the tent was unblocked and Ginyu followed Guldo inside.

“Haha, they had no idea” laughed one soldier.

Another responded, “Attacking these lizard creeps before they even mounted their own attack…” from across the tent. His voice lowering to a whisper as Ginyu walked in.

Jinto got up from a stool and began to talk. “I am glad to see you survived. I want to announce this unit’s mission a success.” The Commander looked around the tent at his men. “Well,” he chuckled “For those who survived, it was a success.”

Ginyu declined the chair that Guldo offered and stood, looking at the men.

There were only nine men left out of the fourteen that began the assault. As He continued to survey the small gathering of warriors , he listened as Jinto continued.

“We have overpowered these Dramken fools and what survivors that did manage to escape will be hunted down and destroyed.” stated the Commander.

Hoots and hollers erupted from the men, all except Ginyu responded to Jinto’s statement.

Jinto paused, noticing the scowl on his captain’s face. “Speak up!” he ordered.

Ginyu smiled as his eyes glanced over at Guldo. Suddenly he arched his head back, putting his hand to his mouth.

Jinto was unsure of what was transpiring and watch, his body tense, never letting his guard down.

Ginyu groaned as his body pulsated, the bulging muscles increasing in size. Hi hand lowered to his side, a small vial fell to the ground and shattered. “Mwahahah Ahahah” he laughed as his body slowly increased in size, all his senses and power attaining a level higher than that of his Commander.

Jinto watched and recognized the vial. It was the same that a Dramken he fought and killed used. He knew the effects and watched, puzzled as to why Ginyu would have taken it.

The men in the tent were to their feet, giving space to their Captain as his transformation completed. Ginyu now straightened his body and gazed at Jinto.

“The other day you beat me in front of these men.” Ginyu started, “Let me return the favor with death,“ he growled. “and report to Lord Frieza my victory and I shall be his bringer of destruction throughout the galaxies.” Ginyu suddenly screamed as his body jolted and an aura of ki exploded from his body.

Jinto was enraged, as he watched Ginyu powering up. Instinctively, Jinto flexed his body and soon he was surrounded by a similar aura of ki.

The sides of the tent waved from the force of the two’s power and soon it disintegrated. The rest of the men dispersed, giving Jinto and Ginyu their space. Each watched as their two leaders squared off.

In the north end of the camp there was a bright flash of light. This was the energy of two warriors as they began their battle. Surrounding the two were seven figures, all entranced by what was to happen.

One opponent, Captain Ginyu was a tall purple beast with horns jutting from his head. He had just powered up to his maximum ability. He was hoping to send his opponent their death without interruption.

The other was Jinto, Commander of an elite group of mercenaries. They served under direct orders of Lord Frieza and carried out his bidding on unsuspecting worlds through the universe. He responded to the treachery at hand by powering up his own energy.

Ginyu began the dance, stepping off his toes The massive Captain flew at Jinto with great speed, leaving a haze of energy where he had once been. As he approached Jinto, he flexed his muscles and brought his right foot around to deliver a knocking blow to his opponent. The roundhouse kick ignited with Ki as it whizzed through the air towards it’s target.

Jinto was powerful and tough. “I’ve beaten him before.” he thought and lowering his left elbow to block, Jinto braced for the impact.

Ginyu connected with Jinto’s arm, the kick blocked. The surge of Ki continued from his leg and blasted against the Commander, sending him to the ground.

Jinto fell to the ground, stopping the crash with his right hand and using his own strength, lifted his legs and slammed them into Ginyu’s chest.

The counter was precise and the impact sent Ginyu several feet away, sliding across the dirt. As he came to a stop, he flipped to his feet and shot into the air.

Jinto had anticipated the move and upon sending him across the ground, Jinto had already gotten to his feet and ran to grab Ginyu’s foot as he attempted flight. He watched as Ginyu jolted from the sudden stop in motion and with his strength, pulled the Captain back down, slamming his upper body into the soft dirt.

Ginyu kicked himself free from Jinto’s grasp and spun around. Dirt was spit from his mouth as he cork-screwed upwards with his right fist.

The blow impacted against the underside of Jinto’s chin, sending him wavering back.

Ginyu continued the combo with a left jab to the gut and another hook with his right. Immediately following the hook, Ginyu brought his right fist back slamming it into Jintos face. The backhand exploded as a wave of Ki was emitted.

The blast was minor, but brought both to the ground.

Ginyu quickly leapt into the air. His body pulsating from the adrenaline. He brought his arms high above his head, as two balls of energy formed above his open palms.

Jinto stumbled to his feet. Still shaking off the blow, he looked up to see Ginyu and shook his head. “You are dead !” he yelled, as he powered up and shot towards Ginyu.

Ginyu launched the balls of energy towards the oncoming target. He watched as Jinto easily dodged the two blasts shortening the distance between the two.

Jinto summoned some ki and formed a small dagger like object in his left hand. With this he lunged at Ginyu.

Ginyu saw the formation and twisted his body, narrowly dodging the ki-knife. As Jinto missed, his back was to Ginyu and quickly, the Captain brought both his fists down upon Jinto’s back, sending him to the ground. Ginyu yelled, “Blast ATTACK!” and charged at the falling Commander.

Jinto spit from the blow and gained control of the fall, turning towards Ginyu.

Ginyu collided into Jinto and both released a flurry of punches. Energy emitted from both warriors as they slowly lowered to the ground. Each blow was blocked and counted by another. They were near exhaustion when Jinto summoned up his left over energy and kneed Ginyu in the groin.

Ginyu bent over, grabbing himself and felt the barrage of fists and kicks as he was pummeled to the ground by Jinto.

Enraged the Commander continued his unrelenting assault onto his former captain. In between each blow, Jinto would release a blast. The attack was brutal.

Ginyu was on his knees, both his palms digging into the ground. With each pound into his back, side and head, he let out a yell. However with each, his anger increase, thus increasing his power. He arched his back and an enormous surge of Ki erupted. The energy engulfed Ginyu as he took another hit and then sprang forward, impaling Jinto in the leg with his horn.

Jinto howled as his right leg was pierced by Ginyu. He brought his elbow down onto Ginyu’s head, trying to dislodge the horn.

Ginyu brought up his left hand, deflecting the blow and used his right hand to deliver a palm strike to Jinto’s ribs. He emitted a blast before contact, which sent Jinto onto his back, smashing into the ground.

Jinto grabbed at the hole in his leg as he watched Ginyu get to his feet. The Commander pulled himself together and hopped to his feet, resting on his good leg. He launched his attack, “Mahnkaou Chitooooohaaaaa!” he yelled, using all his strength and energy.

Ginyu squinted his eyes from the flash of light as the beam came spiraling towards him. He was still enraged and easily deflect the blast, sending it into a nearby tent.

“What!” exclaimed Jinto, “You were nearly destroyed the last time.” he swore, remembering when he had used the attack a few days earlier.

“Maybe a few days ago, I was holding back my true power” he responded, seeing the shock in Jinto’s eyes. “This was all part of my scheme to dismantle your group and take control.” Ginyu began to power up again as he walked towards his opponent.

Jinto looked at the warriors surrounding the two. “Get in here and help!” he yelled, “Or you will join him on his way to death.”

The remaining seven warriors hesitated and soon three advance.

The smile on Jinto’s face soon vanished as suddenly the three warriors collapsed to the ground, a blade through each of their chests.

“What the HELL!” he yelled. As he saw the figure of a small green warrior appear.

Guldo laughed, knowing that with out his special technique “Time Freeze” he wouldn’t have been able to deliver such deadly blows.

Ginyu shook his head. “You see Jinto,” he started, “I’ve surrounded myself with talent.” Ginyu powered up, his body now hovering above the Commander. The flames of ki flicked outwards as Ginyu gathered his strength. “NOW!” he yelled, “Feel the force of GINYU!”

With those final words ringing through Jinto’s head, his sight was blinded by a flash of light and soon the heart of the blast was upon his face. He could feel his skin burning, and as blisters appeared he howled in agony as his body was incinerated by the blast. His last thought flashed back to his childhood and to the first time he wielded a sword.

…And so began the Ginyu Force!

THE END
