The sounds of faint ticking could be heard echoeing through the vast labratory of Dr. Gero as he diligently work away at his station. It had been several long decades since he had first set out on his quest to defeat Goku, and take over the world. With that medalsome young fighter out of the way, nothing would stand in the way of the Red Ribbon Army in it's pursuit of absolute domination.

Having been defeated so many times before by Goku, Dr. Gero decided to devise a new plan to oust this neusence. Rather than send hordes of soldiers and machines after his advisary, he would create a single warrior that would be equally as powerful as an entire army. It was this idea that sparked the first few prototype designs for what would prove to be his most brilliant creations; the androids.

"But how to do this?" he thought to himself as he pondered away, deep within his hidden mountain labratory. Every single time that something was created in attempts to defeat Goku, it would be smashed to bits near effortlessly. After maticulous planning, the doctor came up with the plan to create what would later be known as Dragonflys. These tiny insect looking machines would have the soul purpose of tracking the movements of Goku, and recording any and all data about his life and fighting style. Having no combat abilities, these machines were very brittle. Mounted with small cameras and finger like needles, these drones were sent out in swarms. "Now fly!" he yelled as his creations scattered across the sky. It was now just a matter of time until his dream of ultimate destruction would be realized.

Equipped with an internal satellite, these mechanical insects quickly made their way toward their designated targets. Fixated upon the greatest fighters in the world, they would soon begin to create a full profile for each of their strengths and weaknesses, as well as information pertaining to their most lethal maneuvers. All the while, Dr. Gero would be busy analizing all of the data constantly pouring in from each mobil drone.

Jinzoningen (Android 17’s name before being turned into an android) hoped across the stream with the help of a few stones protruding out of the water. He had been training for nearly three hours, and he had left his sister in order to have some fun on his own. He sat laid down on a patch of grass and briefly fell asleep. He dreamed of a life that he would never have. As a runaway, he and his sister missed out on an important part of being a teenager. He didn’t really remember his parents, but the time he spent doing what he wanted made that painful thought seem like nothing. Over the past few years, he had become quite rebellious towards almost everyone. His sister would be the only refuge he had in a world surrounded by suffering.

“Don’t forget to eat your breakfast,” a voice echoed in his dreams. “You know what they say about breakfast dont you?”

The sound of his mother’s voice were scattered in his dreams. Because he did not remember what she looked like, the voice was not accompanied by a body. All he could hear were the words that she spoke.

“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” he replied to his mother.

A faint sound awakened Jinzoningen out of his dream state as he sat up. A squirrel had been eating a walnut next to his body and ran away when he awoke. He smiled as the squirrel ran up a nearby tree and starred at him. He could see his sister training several hundred feet away. The two spent quite a bit of there time training in martial arts because they planned on competing in the next World Martial Arts Tournament. They would use the money to possibly buy a place to live. It had been so long since they had last enjoyed a good night’s sleep with a roof over their heads. Fate as it seems would have a different plan for the two humans…..

He glanced at his sister once more before heading east towards the city of Edin. He knew she could take care of herself in his absence, so he had no problem leaving her behind. He had heard stories of the large city. Stories of fortune, fame, and all the money one could ask ever dream of. He reached into his pocket and pulled out the little zenni he had and began counting. 1, 2, 3, 4….4 zenni is all that he had, and the only reason he had that much is because he and his sister deceived an old man. Life was not easy for the two young adults, but he never regretted the decisions he had made.

“One day things will be better,” he whispered to himself as he placed a few things in his satchel and threw it over his shoulder.

He noticed his red scarf was incredibly dirty, so he walked over to the stream and placed it in the water. He scrubbed the scarf for a minute, pulled it back out of the water, and placed it back around his neck. The cold water eventually soaked through Jinzoningen’s clothing and onto his chest. The summer breeze cooled the water even more as he rubbed his chest. He took a deep breath and began walked east for a few miles. Jinzoningen enjoyed a nice walk from time to time, but his destination was almost seventy miles away. He took to the sky and looked down at the barrage of trees below. The forest had become the two runaway’s home, and they rarely ventured out into the cities unless they were in desperate need of food or shelter. He didn’t like the fact that he was leaving his sister behind, but he knew she would simply slow him down. Besides, she was far too passive compared to Jinzoningen who was much more rebellious…

Time seemed to progress slowly as the years passed by. With the continueous influx of information being retreived from the Dragonfly drones, Dr. Gero felt as though he had finally gathered the necessary tools he required to begin his most diabolical creations; the androids. Visions of these mechanized monsters filled his every thought, consuming him completely. With the bitter taste of defeat still fresh upon his tongue, he would spare no expense in his pursuit of the ultimate weapon.

Having now collected fresh data from Goku's most recent encounter with the Earth warrior, Tien, Dr. Gero quickly uploaded this priceless information to his master computer. It was from there that his true brilliance would shine through. Appearing before him upon a large view screen was a fully detailed account of this entire battle. Video played back over and over as the doctor maticulously studied each fighter. "Yes..." he said to himself as he ticked away at his keyboard.

::Proximity Alert::

The computer said as a small red beacon began to rotate and flash. Pulling up a visual of the perimeter of the area, Dr. Gero began to scan the area for any sign of movement. "Have they found me?" he thought to himself. "No" he continued as he grinned. Having located the source of this disturbance, the good doctor activated a small openning in the ceiling of the facility.

::Bzzt Bzzzzz::

Decending from the upper end of the facility was one of the small Dragonfly units that he had dispatched. Landing slowly upon a small section of the master computer, the unit appeared to power down. Locking it's mechanical body in place, a small set of hooks began to reach up and secure it. With a faint sucking sound the computer began to retreive a small amount of liquid from the interior of the unit. With a maniacle laugh, Dr. Gero watched on as the pannel upon his master computer began to flash rapidly.

::DNA Extraction Complete::

Having taken a small blood sample from the fighter, Tien, Dr. Gero could now begin his most diabolical plan yet. Using the data gathered from the Dragonfly unit, and combined with a pure blood sample, the master computer could now begin to construct a full genetic blueprint of the warrior. Techniques, strengths and weaknesses, as well as several other characteristics were recorded, and incorperated into an all new genetic codeing. This would not be enough however. Having been defeated numerous times in the past, Dr. Gero would not allow for such an event to ever occur again.

::Activating DNA Reconstruction::

The computer pannels began to flash rapidly as the genetic makeup of Tien was sorted. Taking only what was needed, Dr. Gero's creation would begin to take shape. Combineing his vast knowlege of the android technology along with the new genetic material and information collected, a small silouette of this creature would begin to take shape.

One by one the drones would return to the labratory, each carrying priceless information about their designated targets. Blood and tissue samples were broken down and analized, then incorperated accordingly to the doctor's design. Taking the best of each warrior, Dr. Gero would slowly begin to peice together his most perfect creation. Samples from Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, and even Frieza were added into this beastly creature; each making this monstrosity even stronger.

Working tirelessly around the clock would take it's effects on the doctor, however. Having been years since his plan had been set into motion, the long years had started to catch up to him. It would seem as if his creation would not yet be complete in the remaining years of his life. This posed a great problem for the doctor. He would now have to somehow find a way to do the impossible. He would have to find a way to extend his own life. But how?...

Nearly three years had passed since the day he left for Edin, but Jinzoningen never forgot the moment he arrived in the large city. The people were crazy, and he did not hesitate to engage in the madness of the outside world. He participated in multiple fighting tournaments and won plenty of money, but he soon lost all of the money in a bet that he could defeat one of the strongest warriors in the city. After his loss, he headed back to the forest where he met his sister. He could see that sadness in his sister’s eyes as he landed on the ground where she had been training yet again. The pain he felt was unbearable as he apologized over and over for his actions. She asked him if his trip to the city had been worth the trouble, but he stated that he had returned with no money.

He looked to his right when the bushes next to him rustled. He clinched his fists together as he walked towards the area but found nothing but a small creature eating food. He turned around to speak to his sister and discovered her body decorating the grass. Her eyes were closed, and she was unconscious. A man with light grey hair chuckled from behind Jinzoningen as he shot a tranquilizer dart towards his neck. Jinzoningen collapsed to his knees as everything around him spun in circles. The last thing he saw was the wrinkled face of an old man.

“You asshole,” Jinzoningen stated as his face slammed against the ground.

Dr. Gero smiled as he approached his two unconscious subjects. He placed his hand on Jinzoningen’s face and began to laugh. His plans were finally coming together, and he knew exactly what to do with the two family members.

“You two will be perfect,” he stated as he lifted Jinzoningen into the air.

"Come now, 13" Dr. Gero said to a strange looking man as he glided up into the air. With the two siblings completely sedated, they could now be transported with little to no resistance. Traveling over mountains and down through valleys, the two unsuspecting vigilantes were being taken far from anything that they knew.

Hours past by since their abduction, and the two were beginning to stir. "Oh man" Katsumi muttered as she began to open her eyes. "What!?!" she screamed as she looked down, realizing that she was being suspended several thousand feet in the air. Beginning to struggle and wiggle about, she continued to yell. "Wake up, Jinzoningen!" Still he remained motionless as he was drug behind the older grey haired assailant. Fighting to get free from the grasp of the larger man's grasp, she began thrashing about.

"Hmm?" Dr. Gero said as he looked back at the commotion. "Ah, it seems as though our young friend has woken up."

"13" he said over a faint radio transmission. "I trust that you can handle this." Dr. Gero concluded as he burst forward with great speed.

Watching helplessly as her brother was being taken farther into the distance, Katsumi would now be held tightly by the waist by her captor. Stopping in midflight, he would release her, letting her hover miles above the surface. Still not a strong flyer, she would now be at a great disadvantage. Despite that, she would still have to find some way to rescue her brother.

Jinzoningen awoke from what felt like a dream. He felt extremely groggy and unable to move. His arms and legs were strapped down to a metal table he laid on. His heart began to beat fast once he realized everything that happened earlier was not a dream. Although he could not move his limbs, his head was not strapped down like the rest of his body. He looked around and saw the old man who captured him and his sister starring at a computer screen.

“Where the hell is my sister,” he shouted furiously. “I swear to God if you hurt her I will kill you.”

“Calm down,” Gero replied with a smug look on his face. “She’s fine and so are you. Besides, you should be thanking me right now…not yelling at me. Soon you will be more powerful than you could have ever dreamed. I suggest you not fight the inevitable.”

“What are you talking about,” Jinzoningen questioned. “Tell me where my sister is now.”

“Your sister and 13 should be here soon enough,” Gero exclaimed. “Now if you could please quiet down, there is much work to be done.”

Jinzoningen clinched his fists together and tried once again to escape but failed. A few moments later, his sister’s screams echoed throughout the laboratory. She was being drug into the laboratory by a large, bulky man with dark eyes. He appeared emotionless as he tossed the girl towards Dr. Gero. Her head slammed into some equipment as she lost consciousness.

“13,” Gero shouted. “This equipment is delicate so watch what you are doing.”

He looked down at the girl and bent over to pick her up. He carried the girl over towards an operating table much like the one Jinzoningen was latched too. He strapped her arms and legs down to the table and smiled at Jinzoningen.

“It’s almost time,” he whispered.

Katsumi lay helpless upon the large steel platform as she remained unconcious. Her clothes were tattered, and her pants had several small rips in them. She appeared to have been severely battered and bruised. "What the hell did you do to her!?" Jinzoningen continueously screamed out as he lay bound tightly. Powerless to stop that in which was happened, he could only look on as the giant called 13 began to wheel a large machine toward his sister. "Don't you touch her!" he exclaimed loudly. "What did we ever do to you?!" Cold and emotionless, the large dark eyed figure would not even look his way.

With the machinery in place, 13 began to disperse a large collection of metallic items upon several trays next to Katsumi. With the poor lighting in the labratory, it was difficult to make out exactly what each was, but the sounds of metal scrapeing together sent shivers up the spine of Jinzoningen as he listen. "Oh my God.." he said to himself in terror as he let his mind wander.

"Oh don't you fret now" Dr. Gero said in a kind voice as he look down at the scared teen.

::Click Click Click::

"I wouldn't let you miss this." he continued as he slowly raise up the metal table in which Jinzoningen was bound to.

Struggleing as best he could, the young teen could still not free himself. He would now be forced to lay witness to the events that were about to transpire.

::Cough Cough::

"Oww" Katsumi said as she began to stir. "Hey, what the...?" she said as she now realized that she could not move. Thrashing her body from side to side, she would come to the horrible realization that she could not escape. It was at this time that the giant, 13 finally looked over to the teen. With a smile he lifted a small black mouth restraint from a metal pan. Lifting it slowly, he would show this to both the doctor and Jinzoningen. Turning his attention back to Katsumi, he would wave his hands in front of her mouth as she watch in horror.

"That's enough, 13" Dr. Gero chimmed in. "I want to hear her scream." he continued delightfully.

"Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God" she kept repeating to herself as her eyes began to fill with tears.

Whimpering uncontrollably, Katsumi tried to hold back her fear. Her heart raced, and sweat began to bead up on her brow. Fixated on the movements of 13, her eyes grew very large. With her body bound upon the metal table, there was little she could do to resist as the man continued to taunt her. Dropping the gag back onto the tray, he slowly look over the endless collection of tools at his disposal.

With a horrible grin upon his face he began to dangle a handful of long tubes in front of her.

"Aaaah no oh oh oooh" Katsumi cried out.

Seeming to be mildly amused by her cries, 13 dropped the long cold tubes upon her stomach and chest. Taking each, one by one he would connect them them to a the large machine that had been wheeled toward the table. Once each would be attatched, the giant 13 would step away from the table, and walk around to it's head.

"What are you doing!?" she cried as she try to move her head to see him again.

::Click Click Click::

Crying now uncontrollably, she would begin to be raised upright. Now just a short distance away from her brother, Katsumi would now lock eyes with him. Whimpering softly she would look to him almost as if calling out to him for help. Realizing that both of them would likely die, she tried to be brave for Jinzoningen.

"What the?" he would quickly say as his table began to move backward. "Where are you taking me!?" Jinzoningen screamed a loud. Looking back at his sister, he would repeatedly scream to her. ""Katsumi!! Katsumi!!!"

A moment later he would find himself in between two large metal walls. Looking at him with a smile, Dr. Gero would kindly speak to the teen as he walk out of the small closet like space. "Don't you fret now young one, you will be next..."

Concluding this statement, Dr. Gero would begin to slowly whistle as he exited the space, slamming the large metal door shut.

With his head proped up near a small window in the door, Jinzoningen would continue to call out to his sister. "Katsumi!" he cried out as he looked on helplessly. Unable to hear his cries, Dr. Gero continued his approach toward the young girl. Left with only the sounds of his own voice and the a slow drip, Jinzoningen's mind quickly began to wander.

The heavy sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the labratory as the doctor slowly walked up to the foot of the large inclined table. Ignoring the desperate pleas for mercy, he looked over the frightened young girl with a sickening grin. Acting as though he were a predator or children, Dr. Gero only became more excited with each of her cries.

Looking over several metal trays to the side of the table, the twisted old man continued to whistle his slow and errie whistle. Clanging together a few pieces of steel, the doctor lifted a large pair of scissors into the air. Glimmering in the pale light of the labratory, he would taunt Katsumi as he repeatedly snapped them open and shut in the direction of her face.

"Yaaaah!" Katsumi squeeled out in terror as she move her head from side to side to avoid the blade.

With her eyes closed ever so tightly, she would not see what was about to happen next. Tears poured out uncontrollably down her face as she stand there bound upon the cold metal table. Then without warning, a sharp pain shot up her left arm. Screaming out in agony, Katsumi could only try to endure the pain as she watch the long metalic needle be forcefully inserted into her arm.

Attatching a one of the long hoses up to the needle, 13 promptly activated the machine in which it had been connected to. Quietly, a humming noise began to sound as the young girl's blood was slowly extracted.

He knew what was happening to his sister was monstrous. He could feel her pain even though he could not hear or see her. Ever since they were children, he knew when something was wrong or when she was hurt. They formulated one of the strongest bonds any human could ever have with another sibling.

“Katsumi,” Jinzoningen cried out. “Please just leave her alone.”

His cries would go unanswered as the doctor continued his work on his sister. With the blood from her body rapidly draining, she began to drift in and out of consciousness. He began slamming the back of his head against the wall once he realized that it was his fault that they were in this predicament.

“If only I could have protected you,” Jinzoningen thought to himself as the back of his head started to bleed.

He stopped banging his head against the wall when the painful feeling he had in his heart began to fade away. Jinzoningen let out a sigh of relief when he realized that the doctor had stopped his sickening operation on Katsumi.

“Thank god,” Jinzoningen stammered.

Hours passed and all he could think about was whether or not his sister was ok. A weird feeling overcame Jinzoningen when he lost the mental connection with his sister. He could no longer feel her presence. Thoughts of her death raced through his head as he began to scream as loud as possible, and the door that had been shut on him earlier finally opened. The light shone through and Jinzoningen saw an empty operating table where his sister previously laid.

“What have you done to her,” Jinzoningen shouted.

“She’s perfectly fine boy,” Dr. Gero replied as he pointed to a glass pod that held his sister. “Soon enough, you two will be together again.”

Amazingly his sister looked perfectly fine. Her body had no signs of scarring or blood; however, he could no longer mentally feel her presence.

“Something’s not right,” he thought to himself.

The two men drug Jinzoningen towards the same operating table his sister had been strapped too. With ease, 13 tossed his body onto the table and bound his arms and legs. Jinzoningen struggled to free himself but understood his efforts were useless. Dr. Gero walked over towards a counter and picked up a pan full of clean operating tools. He walked back over towards Jinzoningen and held his arm down as he drove a needle through one of his veins. He watched as Android 13 connected tubing to the end of the needle and turned on a machine.

Dr. Gero watched happily as the blood began draining from Jinzoningen’s arm. Jinzoningen ignored the pain and starred at his sister. Her body appeared to be in great condition, but her eyes seemed so lifeless. Sadness overwhelmed Jinzoningen once he realized that she could possibly be dead. A quarter of his blood had been extracted, and everything he saw began to spin. He could no longer feel the pain; instead, he felt weightless. He was incredibly cold, but he welcomed the thought of death as his eyes began to roll into the back of his head.

“See you soon,” Jinzoningen whispered as he caught of glimpse of his sister before losing consciousness.

“Process complete,” Android 13 stated.

“Perfect,” Dr. Gero replied in a fit of joy. “Everything is going exactly as planned.”

They un-strapped Jinzoningen's body and placed him on a completely different operating table that was surrounded by various machines. Dr. Gero walked over to a set of computers and began hitting various buttons. The machines sounded and moved into their set positions.

“Just a few more calculations,” Dr. Gero thought to himself as he typed in Jinzoningen’s weight, age, and height. “Body mass, molecular structure….Aha, we are finally ready.”

Various machines began dissecting Jinzoningen’s body while others began implanting materials onto his bone structure. Dr. Gero chuckled as he watched his work finally payoff….

It was incredibly quiet throughout the laboratory as Dr. Gero paced back and forth as he awaited the analysis of final testing. The computer screen across the room diagnosed the two siblings. A thin piece of wire ran from both teenagers heads into a hidden socket underneath the computer equipment. The diagnostic test had been in process for nearly three hours, and Gero could hardly await the conclusion. Finally, the computer screen revealed the bright red numbers Gero awaited. He rushed over to the computer and began typing radically.

“I’m finished,” Dr. Gero cheered. “The process is finally complete!”

He unlatched the wiring from the heads of Jinzoningen and Katsumi. In awe, he eyed the two siblings as they stood erected in their chambers. Their features were flawless. They appeared to be human, but he knew they were far from it.

“Perfection,” Gero said to himself as he examined Jinzoningen structure. “You two will accomplish so much, and speaking of accomplishment….”

He turned around and lifted a latch embedded on the wall parallel to the siblings’ pods. The latch revealed a small red button that Gero pushed. The door to the laboratory opened, and the doctor made his way towards the entrance.

“I will be back very shortly,” he declared. “Then we will see what you two are capable of.”

He walked out of the laboratory and took off into the sky. The door shut behind him, and the computer screen he worked on earlier was still flashing. The diagnostic tests ran earlier gave Dr. Gero specific information on his subjects attributes such as speed, strength, and toughness. The numbers flashing on the computer were much higher than Dr. Gero had anticipated, so he was very glad he implanted an override mechanism in both androids that could shut them down if they ever got out of control. He still could not be sure of what would happen once they were activated. He smiled as he flew through the air towards his destination. The power of Android’s 17 and 18 was the only thing on his mind…….

**Years before the creation of Androids 17 and 18**

“Come 13, hand me the spark plugs,” ordered Dr. Gero of his Biological Android that he, himself, created. Dr. Gero was currently working on his newest Android yet, Android 14. He worked for 36 hours straight without shutting an eye, showing his desperate signs to have the most powerful being in the world at his side. Showing his desperateness to defeat the only thing that stands in his way, Goku.

Dr. Gero built many Androids, and though more than 10 failed him so far, he undoubtedly continued his long, grueling work. Android 13 was his only Android that came out the exact way he wanted every one of them to. Android 13 was strong and big, but also had speed and the toughness of an army. However, 13 definitely didn’t stand a mere chance against the determination of Goku.

“Initializing…” called out the machine after Dr. Gero hit a certain button. The tubes connected to Android 14’s enormous body started to fill with a liquid. Dr. Gero, for one reason or another, decided to take a different route with his 14th experiment. He made the Android’s body huge with massive arms and legs. This was one of the main reasons why this certain Android took the longest of all the other ones.

Dr. Gero sat in front of his computer typing madly, the bright light of the screen gleaming onto his face. The light showed the face of a middle-aged scientist, one who was just teeing off, it showed the undying ambition on his face.
“Yes…Yes…Yes!” muttered Dr. Gero under his breath as he was now looking at the huge Android’s body, countless wires and tubes connecting to it. Everything was working exactly as he planned.

**Warning: Chemical Imbalance Detected.**

Those were the words Dr. Gero hated to hear, those words seems to have destroyed him several times. A simple chemical imbalance is what stopped Dr. Gero from taking over the world. Android 14 was turned on, but in Dr. Gero’s eyes, he was just another failure. The look on his was maniacal.

“Throw him in his chamber and keep him there!” commanded Dr. Gero of Android 13.

As Android 13 dragged 14’s enormous body to a deserted chamber, Dr. Gero sat down in his computer and began fixing his flaws he made with Android 14.

Android 14 was finally let free of his prison when Dr. Gero decided to use him to help capture Jinzoningen and Katsumi. Dr. Gero sent Android 14 to a tournament in Edin to pick out which Human he was going to turn into an Android. Dr. Gero was confident that Android 14 would win the whole thing since he was immune to any battle fatigue, and that was the difference maker in his fight with Jinzoningen. Humans, like Jinzoningen was when he fought 14 in the tournament, aren't immune to it, but now in his Android form, he is.

To Dr. Gero, Android 14 was more like a bodyguard. Anyone that would try to attack the docter would hesitate when they noticed 14's massive figure.

14 walked into the room where the transfiguring took place. Androids 13, 17, and 18 were all in there, it seemed to 14 only Dr. Gero was missing.

"The docter left?" 14 asked.
Android 13 nodded.
"So, it's all complete?" 14 was now looking at 17 and 18's motionless bodies.
13 nodded again.

Android 14 left the room and went into the designs laboratory, it was filled with 3-D holographics of all different kinds of things. On one of the tables there was a notepad. 14, curious of what was in it, took a quick look and read as his eyes skimmed the writing of Dr. Gero.

Biological Androids I create turn out to be failures...Jinzoningen-Katsumi...Human Androids wouldn't be capable of defects...Tournament in Edin...Freiza...Goku...Piccolo...Tien...Vegeta...Create the Ultimate Android...Cell...Android 20...Last Reso-

He stopped reading when he heard a door open. Shocked, he quickly left the room, his head spinning of everything he had just read.

Dr. Gero was headed back to the laboratory after leaving the city, and the androids still consumed his thoughts. Once activated, he knew they would be unstoppable…even against the unbeatable Goku however; the power they possessed had to be regulated. He was worried that once activated, the androids might cause too much trouble. He shook the thought from his head as he arrived at his secret laboratory. He activated the door and proceeded inside. He placed a mysterious component inside his desk and locked it. He pulled a remote out of his pocket and walked over towards the pods holding Androids 17 and 18.

“Perfect,” Dr. Gero thought to himself as he pushed a button on the remote activating the two androids.

After a few seconds, their power cores were activated, and energy flooded their bodies. Android 17’s eyes slowly opened. He had no previous memory of what had happened; instead, his memories were replaced with chaotic images. One by one, images of the strongest warriors on planet Earth flashed before his eyes. Warriors such as Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan were included in his database. His stopped processing the materials once he realized he was being watched. Dr. Gero pressed down another button, and the door to Android 17’s pod opened.

“Do you know who I am,” Dr. Gero questioned with a worried look on his face.

“Master,” Android 17 replied.

“Good, very good,” Dr. Gero stated. “We have much work to do 17.”

Ignoring the doctor, Android 17 scanned the area and saw the faces of Android’s 13 and 14. 17’s database was filled with Dr. Gero’s previous inventions and understood the two androids capabilities. He continued his search of the room and saw the face of a young teenage girl. He had no recollection of who she was, or what her purpose was. Dr. Gero waited patiently hoping that 17 would not remember her. For a second he believed his complete memory wipe was successful, but he would soon realized that his efforts failed. An anomaly in 17’s programming filtered its way to his data base, and the love he shared for his sister returned. He remembered bits and pieces of the past as he turned around glaring at Dr. Gero.

Dr. Gero panicked once he saw the face of Android 17 and tried to press the button.
