“Number Twelve up!” the cook called from behind the counter. He set the steaming dish of pancakes, sausage and hash browns covered in gravy on the shelf, waiting to be picked up. Sure enough, a woman rolled up to it, grabbed the dish and skated off in the opposite direction. This restaurant was one of those old style ones, where the waitresses wore roller-skates, and served your food to the picnic tables out front. Everything was knee-deep in fat and calories, but it was always good. As the sun dipped lower in the pink and orange tinged sky, a small figure sat huddled beneath a jacket’s hood, away from the crowd situated closer to the store’s front. Privacy was always the top notched priority on his list, as socializing always brought on some sort of massacre or other calamity that he was almost always responsible for. “Number twelve, sir;” a soft, chipper voice spoke from his right. His face lifted, just the barest of fanged smiles shining from below the shadow of the cape. “Thanks,” he said, his voice somewhere stuck on the verge of a prepubescent boy and a robot. She gazed at him strangely, but after collecting her tip and the bill, she turned on one foot, and skated back to the shop. “Humansss…” he hissed; what simple, stupid creatures. The girl was completely oblivious to the danger she was in just by being in his presence. Just because he was small, didn’t mean that he was docile. In fact, quite the opposite. As he tasted his food, the creature known as Buu smirked. They may be stupid creatures, but fuck if they can’t cook a decent meal.; he thought to himself as he finished off his supper. It wasn’t really that filling, but it was better than nothing. He had spent the last five or so days trying to find something halfway edible, when he found this place. Food so good he should go shoot the cook. In fact, that didn’t sound like a half bad idea. (tbc) |
