Diive aimlessly wandered around planet Namek. He was so bored of the tasks that Guru had been giving him lately. More than once his mind slipped to the conclusion that he would go to Guru and tell him that he quit. These tasks were not something a fighter should be doing anyways. He still had his work as the grounds keeper for Paradise Gardens. What a surprise that was even though the water demon had been successful in destroying the plants. What a shame it was that he had to be the one to replant four hundred plants. He was no longer the guardian of the village. Yet, he still went and visited them all the time. When he wasn't working at the gardens he was helping the Namekians clean up the left over debris from when Frieza's men decided they were dumb enough to attack his village. He didn't care what Guru said. He would still protect the village with all that he was. No matter if it caused the death of him. He had made a promise to always protect this village. He began to grow weary of his walk. He fell next to a boulder and sat to look off into the horizon. This was his home now. He would revel in its magnificence. Diive wondered if Guru tasks always had significance behind them. Under all of Guru's tasks Diive had gone some type of ordeal. He absolutely hated the idea of Guru's tasks. Yet, he knew that these tasks always made him better than he was before. He wondered what Guru would be testing him for this time. They say that Guru's guard undergo the most grueling tasks that a Namekian can face. This was to test their mind, body, heart, and soul. Only someone who was pure and complete could be a member of Guru's personal guard. Maybe Guru saw this in him. He pondered the idea. Maybe Guru had something else in store for him. Either way he put this on his back burner. It wasn't really important right now. All he wanted to do was rest and contemplate of sanctuary. He hoped that these tasks would soon end. He was still thinking about traveling the universe to learn the technique that he fell against not so long ago. |

Once he learned that technique he felt that he would stand a good chance against anyone who he came up against. He imagined the look on the saiyan's face when he launched his own technique against him. He could hardly contain himself. He kept looking off into the horizon. He thought of his first task here on the planet. He had undergone Guru's training camp. It was there that he learned how to spot a fighter's weakness. It was useful against Frieza's men as well as the water demon. Yet, he only hungered for more. There was so much more that Diive wanted to learn. It started to cause some panic amongst some of the Namekian Elders. They felt that he would learn all of their secrets and eventually turn on them. He felt horrible that they had felt this way about him, yet he understood how they arrived at this conclusion. He had mastered much of the Namekian training in the few short weeks that he had been there. It was fairly easy when it came to training. He would rather do that than the ridiculous assignments that Guru sent him on. They say that Guru is wise and all knowing but Diive had begin to question that. He felt that Guru was just trying to play a big joke against him. He despised that. Was this truly the behemoth of a Namek's way of having fun? Sending him on such foolish tasks? He was growing tired off all the things the Guru put him through. Just then he heard a loud explosion in the distance. This was followed by ear piercing screams. Diive covered his ears. The sound was so loud. He doubled over in pain. Who in the world could scream that way? Diive slowly made his way back to his feet. He knew that the Nameks were in trouble. He braved the sound and began to run off into the direction of the sound. |

Diive again faltered to the weapon of sound. The screams were becoming louder as he ran in its direction. He felt like ripping his ears off, but that wouldn't ease the pain. The sound was becoming too much for him to handle. He treaded to the site. Alas, he saw that it was a device of purple energy that made a huge whistling noise. He made his way over and closed the device. He looked around. How the hell did this thing even come to be? This looked like a torture device of some sort. He looked around for answers. During his search he found burning metal everywhere. The device must have been part of some sort of imprisonment the Nameks had. He thought they were all peaceful people. He began to wonder who they would've even put in such a thing. He spotted a stairwell not to far from the flaming scraps of metal. The air smelled like singed flesh. Diive fell to the ground and threw up. The air was so filthy of the smell. His stomach couldn't contain it anymore. He threw up and fell. Upon reawakening he was surrounded by Namekians. He confronted them about the situation. They told him of the most notorious Namek. His name was no longer known. It had been lost to history. It was said he had used the dragon balls to make himself young forever. He was older than Guru himself. The people told him that Guru asked Diive to go out and try to apprehend the criminal. He was to be brought back and face the Namekian Tribulation. If he passed this he would be set free. However, if he died he was not innocent. However, Diive was not to kill him or he himself would face the Namekian Tribulation in the Namek's place. |

Diive was told that this Namek was a child and he had a strong knack for mischief. This was the reason why Diive was not allowed to kill him. He had been imprisoned for so long that he had no name. He could not be called so Diive would most likely have to bring him back by force. Diive cracked his knuckles. He could hardly believe his ears. The Nameks were going to allow him to beat on some snot nosed little punk. He had to stop himself from smiling. He turned his back and let go a vicious smirk. There was no way some punk kid was going to get the best of him. They told him where he could possibly begin looking. He once belonged to the village that Diive used to be the guardian of. Diive laughed. He couldn't contain himself any longer. He had long decided that this assignment was going to be fun. Diive scratched his head. Wow. Why would they leave this task to me? Don't they know that I'll just beat his face in? This will absolutely fun. I get to beat up on some punk kid who couldn't follow simple orders. What an idiot. He should have stayed where he was. Now he will know the might of a saiyan warrior. I hope he gets me mad. That way I'd be even more fun to beat him senseless. Hah. I can hardly wait. Guru, looks like I'm going to get that foolish kid back. When I do I coming to request that you stop giving me such foolish attacks to complete. Hah. I am a saiyan after all. We don't do such worthless missions for free. They come at the price of bodies. That is always the price. Are you willing to pay it? Huh, old man? |

The attitudes of the Namekians were weird. Yet, they were always weird. They were a bunch of paranoid people. This Namek seemed to be more to his liking. Maybe that's why he wished to remain a child forever. Hmm...or maybe he was just a fool living an equally as foolish dream. There in plain sights he saw him. He was throwing rocks off of a cliff. Diive made his way up to him. Diive asked him for his story. He came to understand that the boy was just trying to have fun. That he was punished for using the dragon balls to make the wish during a war with an alternate race of Namekians. Luckily they were still strong enough to beat the others regardless. For his wish he was to be imprisoned forever. As a matter of fact, that was the only thing notorious about him. A stupid wish. However, over the years stories surfaced where he was a ruthless killer who had wished for eternal youth to keep up with his murderous pace. So, the Nameks never listened to his story believing him to be a great deceiver. His days had been an eternity. He just wanted to be free from it all. When he wasn't imprisoned he was the most promising warrior the Nameks had seen in a long time. His brother was also a Namek who had left the planet such a long time ago. He wondered if he still existed. He always felt traces of him even in his long confinement. After listening to his story Diive decided that he would spare the beating. The kid had obviously been through a lot as it was, and he did not want to add to it before the kid would fight in the Namekian Tribulation. If the kid was as good a warrior as he said he was he would win. Diive and the kid made their way back to the village. Diive said his good luck and watched as the kid went into the tourney hall. He hoped that his judgment was correct. That the kid would win. |
