I am writing a thesis paper about the theory of evolution. In it, I am going to include common arguments people give against the theory. I know there's religious people here so I was wondering if you could post some reasons why you personally don't agree with evolution. This is not a debate thread. If you try to argue with or against evolution or religion here, the posts will be deleted and you will be warned. If you agree with evolution, don't post here. If you disagree with a reason someone else posted and try to argue with them, it will be deleted. |

I am not biased either way. While I understand that Evolution may have happened and is still happening, it also seems like mankind, animals, insects, etc., are too complicated of beings to just be created out of accident. In the instance of mankind, you need both a man and a woman (not anymore due to science, but still need the dna of) to procreate and have an offspring. Yeah, now that I think about it, I have no idea what I'm getting at. Seems like more than just some freak chance, is all I'm saying. |

I'm one to believe in both creationism and evolutionism. So my views are a bit different. Though I have watched and studied much in the way of creationism. Their arguement is that life is just too complex as Dende put. Too many things had to be perfect for life to exist. Now, most creationists are wack jobs who argue to just argue and they use the same arguement. They also believe the earth is only around 12,000 years old. But anyway, the complexity of life is their usual arguement. As for me, I ask, why can't the creator of caused the big bang? And that things aren't as random as we may think. Creationism is unproven as much as the big bang. It's all theories. Sorry, I'm just a massively open minded Christian who thinks on his own. |

I was raised a Catholic, so I think I can find a place in this discussion. First off, Evolutionism is based solely on hypothesis. There are so many scientist out there that can make the smallest point seem so important just by stating what is really an "educated guess" in more assuring words. Secondly, has anyone ever actually looked into how much money Evolutionary Scientist get paid just to do what they do. How do we know that these so called "Evolutionist" are really what they are. They very easily could be hypocrites that are just gathering interesting info. together to get paid. And third, well just think about it. Do you really believe deep down that everything you see and don't see around you was created by a single growing organism and an out of the ordinary explosion (referring to the Big Bang). It just doesn't seem to fit. Now I understand how frustrating faith in Creationism can be, but to me it just seems to make more sense to me than anything else. |

By the way, if you are Catholic you have to accept evolution as fact. The pope says so. If you don't believe in evolution and you are catholic then you are a heretic! |

I never said Evolution wasn't fact, I just don't believe it was the beginning of all existence. There's a big difference. |
