Lord of Insanity

Raditz yawned sleepily, awakening from his deep sleep. His eyebrows arched in anger. What a dream! Gone! How cruel the world could be. He raised his 22 year old body from the bed, and stretched. In the distance, a cry could be heard from the people of the city. Raditz muttered a quick string of bad words, and opened the window to see what all the racket was about. He groaned. A giant egg was resting in the middle of West City. It was only about 50 feet tall, but it was still bigger than Raditz. “Yawn... I’d better check it out...” Raditz muttered gruffly. Raditz, yawning, ate a quick breakfast. Then, he got ready in the bathroom, and finally got dressed in his classic black training suit. It was a bit tight... And their was an unpleasant breeze from the back. Probably from the Energy Dan he’d launched from that area... Raditz started to consider the possibility of a bum flap. Anyways, strapping on his sword, Raditz leaped out the window and sprinted towards the egg. Quite quickly, the Saiyan arrived at the scene. Zack and Sikila were already there, waiting for a signal from Raditz. As he arrived, he growled, “Outta’ my way, outta’ my way...” and when someone didn’t move, “Why I ought to rip your guts out, ya’ bastard!!” The egg towered above him, almost matching Raditz’s roof in height! “People! Listen up, and listen carefully, ‘cause I’m only gonna’ say this once!!” Raditz yelled. The crowd fell silent and listened as the powerful warrior continued, “Get to safety, now! I’m going to crack this egg in half... And this is what will happen... Either whatever’s inside will die, and we’ll all be saved... Or it’ll hatch a bit early. Now, run you fools!!” The people, intelligently, ran. |

“Zack...” Raditz said. “Yes, Master Raditz?” the Saiyan boy replied. “Sikila...” the Saiyan warrior continued. “Yes, Mr Raditz, sir?” the Namek child answered. “I know you two... And I know that you are powerful... So I will allow you to stay. But! I have one condition,” Raditz paused, and looked around. He pointed at a partly destroyed building, “Hide behind some of that rubble. If I die... Run.” “Sir, yes sir, Mr Raditz, sir!” Sikila leaped into the ruins, crouching behind the crumbling wall. “Yes, master...” Zack ran over right next to Sikila. The two children watched Raditz. If he died... They lost a teacher... A mentor... A master... A (sort of... adoptive?) father... And... A friend. Raditz smiled uncertainly. Then he faced the problem at hand; cracking the egg. An Energy Dan could destroy it... A slash from the sword might work... But... Too hard, and the city could be destroyed, as well as the egg... To light... And nothing would happen. “Fine then... Hyah!!” Raditz sliced a slit in the middle of the egg, then stood in the slit, holding it open, struggling against the weight. Raditz was a very sane person. He’d always been... Well... Not exactly normal, but he wasn’t strange for a Saiyan. Certainly, he’d seen strange things, fought strange stuff... But he was sane. Completely, undeniably, sane. Zack? Well, he was very imaginative and confident. He might go insane, just to be able to become sane again and brag that ‘I beat the shit out of insanity!’ Sikila? That one always exaggerated. No confidence. But Raditz? As said... Sane. Nothing but perfect sane. But what Raditz saw made him reconsider. If he was insane... Would he know it? You never know. Probably not. He thought of Saiyans as normal... Humans thought of Saiyans as insane, wild animals. For there, before Raditz’s own eyes... Were several small monsters in the same egg. |
