Krillin walked through the town that bordered the east shore of the land that was west of Kame House’s island across the ocean. He enjoyed coming into this town every now and then. It was small, but very serene. He liked the people who lived here. They seemed completely oblivious to sensless violence. That was a rare thing to find in the world now a day. Krillin didn’t follow under that category, but he enjoyed seeing others who did, though. Krillin was watching a few kids playing soccer in the center of town as he was sitting on the fountain that was located there. The kids were probably only seven or eight. The time that Krillin was about to leave from watching them, was when a lady approached him. She was quite younger than most of the women in the village. When she approached Krillin, it kind of cocked his eyebrow in curiosity. He didn’t know here, but yet she knew him. “Hello Krillin.” The woman’s voice was very soft spoken. It went along with her smile. Both of those traits were soft in nature. That caused Krillin to go ahead and speak with her. “Hey…do I know you?” “No. Not yet, at least. You may know my husband, however. His name is Tatsu Markil and he is a martial artist.” Krillin shook his head because he didn’t recall the man’s name. “Well…I must talk to you about him. It’s important and I fear that you may be the only one to help me.” Krillin nodded. “Yeah, sure, but do you mind walking with me? I have to pick my master up some hemorrhoid cream while I’m here.” He laughed telling here about that, but it was the truth, sadly. “Yes. I don’t mind at all. Oh, and by the way, my name is Jenna Markil.” The two of them walked through the streets. |

The two walked and Krillin gave her the upmost attention that he could. He was completely swept away by how gracefully Jenna talked. Her every motion was so gentle from each step she took to the way she just looked and examined everything that happened around her. He couldn’t help, but notice everything about her. He closely watched every detail. He knew that he shouldn’t, though, considering she was married and that they were discussing her husband. He couldn’t help the thoughts running through his head, however. “My husband, Tatsu, is a great martial artist, Krillin. He has competed in this nation’s tournament every year and has won a few of them. Something happened at last years, though. Last year a man named Crin Blackheart showed up. He is a horrible man. His name practically explains his lineage alone. He is my husband’s rival. Well…he won last year’s tournament. This has completely upset not only me, but so many others. My husband runs a dojo and his clan has slowly been getting smaller. They are all going over to the Blackheart Clan because they think his style his so much better. It’s ridiculous, though. That man only won because he cheated…” Krillin raised his eyebrows. “What do you want me to do about it Jenna? Do you want me to beat Crin in the tournament so I have to face your husband? That way I could throw in the towel and the Markil Clan will be famous once more.” “No…” Jenna stopped in her tracks. Krillin stopped alongside her. He looked up at her into her tear filled eyes. She closed them and spoke chokingly. “It isn’t that simple…I don’t want it just for the clans name to be brought back into light. I want you to kill Crin and his clan out of vengeance. Not vengeance for the fact that they shunned the Markil name, but in vengeance out of what they have done to my husband. He is a changed man and I’m afraid that he is different for the worst. Can you do this, Krillin?” |

Krillin walked alone now. He was still in shick at what that woman had said. He couldn’t believe the request that came from her mouth. He was still going to do this, however. He had accepted Jenna Markil’s request. He was going to murder Crin Blackheart and slaughter what was left of his clan. He did it not for an admiration for her now. The once perfect picture of the lady that he admired for a brief moment had faded in his mind. She was as cold as she was serene. He was doing this because the man, her husband, was the old man that Krillin had saved from the murderous swordsman before. He saw something in that man’s eyes and expressions that screamed noble. He wanted to help him before her if anything else. Krillin waited for nightfall to come. All day he had sat outside the dojo that was owned by Crin Blackheart. He was sitting across the street in a ragged out cloak that was scattered with holes and a straw hat. He kept himself concealed so that way the ones who were in and out throughout the day wouldn’t notice him. For some reason here lately, Krillin had been making himself a name and random people were recognizing him. He couldn’t look suspicious to the members because he was going to need to take them by surprise. Krillin looked up from his curled position. He had been keeping his head down in his arms that rest on his knees which were brought snuggly into his chest. The cloak that way covered his entire body. He would only raise his head up to beg for change when a pedestrian walked by. In those few seconds of his head being brought up he would quickly take in and examine everything he saw about the dojo. With nightfall coming shortly, Krillin had nearly a half of daylight information gathered. He was satisfied with that and he decided that he would move shortly against the Blackheart Clan. |

Krillin moved quietly along the dojo wall. He followed the shadows so that no one could see him. He tried hard to his actions to a minimum just in case someone in there could sense power levels. He didn’t want to be noticed at all. He figured this was the best way to attack a full dojo of martial artists. Most of the members were weak he guessed, but twenty weak fighters were just as good as a strong one, if not better. Krillin scaled the wall. He hated the idea he was moving so slowly, but he knew if he had jumped the wall then someone in there would sense his power. At the top he looked down into the center of the dojo and saw only five of them. They all slept on the ground, while their master, Crin Blackheart, slept in a chair before them. His body was slumped in the chair and his head rested on his fist that was brought up to hold his head. Krillin looked over to the entrance suddenly after hearing a noise. It was two men who entered. They were wearing gi’s with the Blackheart emblem embroidered on them. They were coming in fast and they weren’t alone either. Between the two of them they carried another person. It was a woman that they toted in. Not any woman was with them, though. It was Jenna Markil. Crin Blackheart stood up quickly and stared at the two who brought Jenna in before him. “What is this?” The two dropped to their knees and brought Jenna to a knee with them. She looked as if she resented the gesture. One of them stood quickly then. “Master!! We have brought you Jenna Markil.” “What? Why? I don’t want a woman who has a fling for losers.” The rest of the clan started laughing with him when he made the comment. The one who spoke before spoke again. “No master…not a woman for you. She has hired an assassin to come here and kill you. We caught wind of this rumor and now we have had her confess to this atrocity.” The man grabbed Jenna’s face and brought it into the light. Her face was beaten to a bloodied mess. “Luckily for us she fought just as weak as her husband.” |

Krillin was disgusted at how the men all shared in laughs after seeing what was done to Jenna. Beating a woman was something Krillin despised almost more than anything else. He couldn’t stand even someone mentioning the action. He stood on the wall now so that the people in the dojo could see him. He wanted to expose himself now to the creatures below him. Crin looked up at Krillin who was standing on the dojo wall. The rest of his clan was all doing the same. The watched him closely as he leapt from the wall and landed on the stone floor of the dojo. They couldn’t tell what or who he was. Krillin was still concealed by the dirty cloak and straw hat. He hung his head low so that the straw hat would cover his face. Crin grinned. “What the hell is this? You hired a hobo to kill me? You must do better than that, Jenna.” Crin then motioned his men to attack. One made the move first without hesitance. He moved in quickly towards Krillin. Krillin looked from the corner of his eye and didn’t move any part of his body, but an arm. The arm was brought up so quick that only Crin saw that it was a punch. To the rest of his clan, though, it just looked as if the cape ruffled a bit. The man was lying on the ground gurgling on his own blood now. The rest of the members looked at the mysterious attacker in fear at first. They turned to their master, Crin, to see what he wanted them to do. They were hoping for him to strikeout in vegence agaist the attacker, but they saw him do nothing but give a nod. It was a gesture for them to handle the situation, a gesture that they each did not want to see, but a gesture that they all followed. The members of the clan all moved in towards Krillin swinging attacks. |

The dirty cape fell to the ground slowly. It landed on the dead body of one of the attackers who had just fell moments before by Krillin. The rest of them were also scattered about the ground at Krillin’s feet. Krillin still, however stood in the same position as before. He didn’t seem to have to move at all to dispose of the weaker warriors. Crin stood there sternly now. He carried a blank expression. He tried to remain calm in the situation, but in reality he was freaking out. He had never seen something like that. He had heard rumors of fighters like Krillin, but had never witnessed one. He knew the stories of the warrior Goten and Android 13, but he had never even seen those two. Krillin was the first man he had ever met to be that fast or that strong. Crin cleared his throat and then spoke up. “So…you’re here to kill me?” Krillin nodded. “Yes I am…” Crin grinned. “At least I will fall nobly in combat against a warrior who is as taklented as you. May I know your name and style warrior?” Krillin’s facial expression remained the same. His position was completely offensive towards his opponent, Crin Blackheart. “My name is Krillin of the Turtle Style and dying nobly was not part of my contract…It specifically just said…” Krillin bolted towards Crin as fast as he could. Not even Crin could follow his motions. Jenna, who was standing next to Crin at the moment in shock, felt nothing but wind swoosh past her, which made her hair move as if in a breeze. Then she felt blood nhit her face suddenly. “…dying…” Krillin ripped his hand from Crin Blackhearts throat slinging blood into the air. Jenna Markil turned to Crin and Krillin. Krillin was gone, however. All that was left was Crin’s body, which slowly fell to a knee and then face first on to the first of three steps that were walked to reach his make shift throne. She watched as his body rolled down the stairs leaving a trail of blood. She turned quickly to see if she could see Krillin possibly watching her from somewhere, but all she saw were the leaves that glided through the air. |
