The government of Topa Topa island has taken corruption to a new level. What was once an island paradise is now a police state, with the self declared Grand Czar Mitzurugi in charge. A group of fed up townsfolk have declared rebellion, and have enlisted the aid of some powerful fighters, and have obtained some very powerful weaponry. You have been asked to assist the people in their rebellion, but be cautious; Mitzurugi has hired mercenary fighters of his own.

Krillin felt like he needed a vacation. He had been working too hard in the past week and decided that he would go off for a day or two. Master Roshi was all up for the idea as long as the old man could go too. The old master didn’t want to rest or anything like that. He rested enough throughout the day everyday anyways. He was only travelling with Krillin because he wanted to go to some tropical beach and watch all of the girls who ran and played along the beach. Krillin actually agreed with Master Roshi’s idea for once.

Krillin put his hands behind his head as he sat in the chair next to Master Roshi on the plane. He was decked out in one of Master Roshi’s Hawaiian shirts and some white board shorts. Master Roshi was still dressed as he always was. He wasn’t trying to rest, though. He was having too much fun staring at the flight attendants that walked by. The old bastard would reach out and squeeze one of their asses. Then he would act as if he was blind behind his dark shades or just a senile old man.

Master Roshi turned to Krillin. “Where are we going, student? Lots of young ladies there, huh?”

Krillin opened one of his shut eyes and looked over at Master Roshi who was leaned in almost touching Krillins face with his own. “Yeah and we’re going to that cool little island Topa Topa.”

Krillin closed his eyes. He couldn’t wait to get to Topa Topa Island. The pictures he saw of the place were absolutely amazing. It was no doubt going to be a great weekend, he thought. Krillin wasn’t unaware that civil war had broken out on Topa Topa Island. He didn’t know that the people there were trying to over throw the evil dictator, Grand Czar Mitsurugi for their island back.

Krillin and Master Roshi started their way off the plane. Krillin noticed how he and Master Roshi were the only ones who were getting off the plane. Everyone else was just stopping here for a brief moment before heading to their desired destination. He didn’t pay much attention to it until he walked out of the airport. Then it was all starting to make sense to him.

Krillin and Master Roshi made their way through the town. It was pretty quiet. People were all staring at the two of them as they headed towards the hotel. Krillin started feeling a little uncomfortable at how everyone watched them as they walked. Krillin decided that after they got to the hotel that he would drop Master Roshi off at the pool and get to asking questions. That was the best idea that he could come up with at the moment. He was on vacation after all and didn’t want to just jump into a situation swinging.

Krillin dropped his bag on his bed and looked to Master Roshi. “Hey I’m going to head out and check a few things out around the island. I won’t be gone for too long. You think you’ll be okay here in the hotel?”

Master Roshi turned to Krillin laughing. “I’ve won a few World Tournaments in my time Krillin. I’m sure I’ll be fine here at the hotel. Go out and go do whatever you kids do now a day. I’m going to just…” Master Roshi turned to the window and saw some girls tanning by the pool down below. “…Enjoy the scenery. Have fun!!”

Krillin started laughing and walked out of the door. He was still wearing the vacation get up. He didn’t feel like standing out too much, so he kept the trash on. He continued down the streets wanting to talk to people, but they just ignored him.

Krillin walked down the streets of the town that was there on Topa Topa Island. He started noticing one thing out side of the resort, though, everybody who was not visiting or on vacation were beating treated poorly by the military there. The military were everywhere too. They roamed the streets in pairs and were called out in an instance when ever the people did the smallest of things. It was purely ridiculous there in the town at how the government ruled them.

Krillin was walking the streets when the military sat into effect. They were called out at a disturbance, which was only a person jay walking. They swarmed the area, but to their own surprise, it wasn’t just an honest mistake. The person that committed the supposed crime was actually just a diversion for what was really happening. The town’s people were setting up an ambush in reality that would start the fire to a full blown revolution.

Krillin watched as a person ran from hiding in an alley out into the streets. The person chunked a Molotov cocktail that exploded on impact that spread flames all over one of the vehicles. The soldiers spread out as even more rebels fled into the streets from where they all hid before. In a split instance the paradise city blew up into one battle and Krillin knew that he would have to choose a side.

From the end of the street walked out three individuals. All three of them wore black suits and ties. They were all dressed formally and were no doubt the leaders of the military organization. The way they walked pronounced their dominance amongst the rest of their soldiers. They were indeed strong warriors, but they didn’t really fit the military type of men, though. Krillin figured them to be hired mercenaries.

The leader of the three, who Krillin labeled because of his enormous amount of arrogance, was standing to the back. It was funny to Krillin that he seemed the leader. He wasn’t the biggest or the tallest. He was just average size and seemed like a pretty boy. He constantly ran his fingers through his styled fire red hair and wore his clothes with a sense of fashion. He also never said a single word. He would just point or look in a mild mannered way and whoever paid attention first would carry his orders out swiftly.

The biggest of the three was the typical muscle. He stood about seven feet and weighed, it looked, about four hundred pounds in pure muscle. His head was shaved and he had a nicely trimmed mustache. In his left ear was a golden earring hoop. He seemed to have a constant angry expression about him. He didn’t seem to look at any individual besides his leader as an equal or higher. Krillin witnessed at how he walked that he was throwing his own soldiers from his way or just smashing them in the faces so that they fell out cold. At first Krillin feared him the most, but he was hoping that the man was slow and dumb.

The last one was short and small. He almost looked scrawny. The guy seemed the most arrogant, however. He looked as if he was walking with his nose up to everyone. He was wearing flashy orange lens shades and an enormous grin that looked more like a elongated smirk from ear to ear. Krillin figured that he was loud and obnoxious only when the other two were around to back him up. He was probably the fastest and weakest, but definitely not just some walk in the park. He was probably a skilled fighter in some way because he was hired with the other two, or maybe his services were just cheap. Krillin hoped for the latter.

The three of them finally stopped their walk. The battle seemed that it was over already. The rebels stood no chance against the soldiers. They were all either dead or being rounded up as prisoners. The prisoners were then all being gathered into a line up against a wall. Krillin knew exactly what was going to happen in a bit with those preisoners. It looked to him as if they were going to be executed on the spot. It didn’t even bother the soldiers or the mercenaries. They were all standing there and watching completely unpahased. Krillin had to stop it.

Krillin ran out into the street. “Hey!! Yeah I’m talking to you fuckers!!”

The red haired leader looked over at Krillin. He examined him for a moment and grinned. He looked to the soldiers who were awaiting orders, then. The soldiers tuned back towards the prisoners and raised their rifles. They were aiming into the backs of the prisoners. Now Krillin was for certain that they were going to be executed.

Krillin looked at the red haired leader. He noticed that he and the bigger one were both getting into the vehicle. They were leaving the tiny one behind who was staring at Krillin grinning. His hand was raised into the air. Krillin knew what it meant once the man’s arm fell. It was going to be the order to execute the prisoners.

Krillin bolted to the side. He ran as fast as he could. The man’s arm was falling slowly towards the ground and the soldiers were awaiting the order still. Krillin was just fast enough, though. He had ran in a straight line dash infront of the soldiers unarming them of their rifles. This halted the action of execution, but it had brought all of their attentions to him.

Krillin exhaled deeply and smashed the last rifle on the ground. He threw the remins of that one in the pile next to him with the rest. He was one hell of a fighter and almost inhuman in a sense, but bullets could still kill him. He didn’t want them to reappear on him amonst the battle. It would surely be his fate.

The soldiers started to gather around him. Krillin wasn’t too worried about these fools. They were all under matched to give him a hassle. He worried about the suited one who was still standing back. Krillin had just did a pretty impressive stunt and he didn’t even seem to be amzed by what Krillin pulled off. That alone said that he was going to be a challenge for Krillin.

Krillin rushed into the group of soldiers. He began tossing punches and throwing kicks. Every movement he made was too fast for the average human and they quickly began to fall. Blood shot to the left and right of him as he smashed his fists into their faces. He was making haste of the weaker soldiers better than he would’ve imagined. He was growing in strength and power. The training was defiantly taking an effect on him.

Krillin stood up. He began to pat his hands together as if he was dusting them after a long few days of work. That’s what it was after all. This was his job. Combat and fighting was what he did and he didn’t argue with himself in saying that he was pretty damn good at it. He looked around at the ground around him and admired his handy work. The soldiers were all squirming around him in pain. They let out occasional moans and grunts because of the pain that was riveting through their bodies.

Krillin looked over at the suited man. The man was clapping sarcastically at what Krillin had accomplished. He had the same smirk across his face as before and he began walking towards Krillin. Krillin dropped into a fighting stance preparing for battle. He knew that they were just going to talk. He had beat down a good number of this guys soldiers and Krillin was sure that he was pissed about the incident. No man would just calmly take the event so lightly. This man was actually surprising Krillin, however. He didn’t seem too pissed about it.

“Ha!! You did good kid!” The man said laughing.

“Damn it!! I’m not a kid. I’m just short!” Krillin clinched his fist and began to fume at the guy who stood across from him. He was getting tired of remarks like those from every one he ran into.

“Yeah, yeah, whatever…It doesn’t matter to me, it matters to you, though. If you were a kid I would’ve probably have shown you some mercy. Now that I know that you’re a grown man and capable of making decisions for yourself I don’t think I’ll be so merciful. I’m glad the Czar paid more than the rebel. Then I would’ve been finding myself working alongside something like you or are you the only one that got hired by the rebels?”

Krillin cocked his usual eyebrow. “Say what? I didn’t get hired by anyone. I’m just in the right place at the right time.”

“What?” The guy seemed to be surprised at what Krillin had said. “You mean to tell me that you aren’t getting paid for this? You’re just doing this on your own free will?”

“Well…yeah, actually. I don’t really like to see people just get killed for no damn reason. You and your men were being pretty cruel to them. Then again I don’t know what this is all about. I’m just doing what I think is right. I’ve heard a lot of cool stories about this place and seen some pretty amazing pictures, but never did they say anything about a rebellion going on.” Krillin chuckled. “And it just doesn’t seem normal to be going on here.”

“Well, Topa Topa Island is under new management and it’s now being run by the Grand Czar. The people here just don’t understand that he’s doing this place more good than bad. They are all blinded by their care free and lazy attitudes. They want to do something like preserve the natural beauty. The Grand Czar has made more money than needed off this place because he decided to monopolize on the site. He can do whatever he wants here. He’s the boss. Everyone else is just jealous.”

“Cool. At least I know what’s going on now. Can I throw my opinion into the matter?”

The man looked at Krillin angrily as he caught on to the short bald guys sarcastic tone of voice. “Sure…”

“You can tell your boy band pals and the Grand Czar that they need to get the hell off the island. This place belongs to the locals. The people who were here first decides what happens here. You idiots can’t decide shit!”

Once Krillin got done throwing his two cents in the man rushed him. Krillin watched him as he ran towards him, but as soon as the man got face to face with him he was gone. Krillin looked left and right for him, but couldn’t see the guy. Krillin was impressed by the trick. He couldn’t determine if it was some sort of technique or just pure speed. Whatever the man had did it was one hell of a trick.

The man appeared standing behind Krillin then. He didn’t make a movement or even breathe so that Krillin was completely oblivious to his reappearance behind him. He just started to slip his shades down over his eyes like did every time to battle. After that was completed he reared his hand back and swiped Krillin across the back of the head, which sent his opponent flying across the road, Krillin skidded hard on the concrete.

Krillin stood up looking at the guy. “How the hell?”

The man performed the same technique. It wasn’t to reappear this time. The man ran straight through Krillin without stopping. He continued to do the action over and over. Krillin was being hit by an opponent that was moving so fast that he couldn’t see him. He needed to think fast. He was getting his ass handed to him slowly. The attacks were hardly hurting him, but he knew that enough of them would eventually. He needed something and fast.

Krillin started to jump side to side trying to dodge the man. He still couldn’t see which way he was coming from, but he refused to just act like a sitting duck. He decided that moving around would’ve made the task a little more difficult for the bastard. Then he realized something. He remembered that he could sense people’s power levels. He needed to somehow lock on to this guy’s Ki signature. How was the question, though?

Krillin looked around him. He started to examine everything that seemed out of the ordinary. That’s when he noticed it. The man was leaving a faint tear in the air with his movements. The correct term for what was happening was called a Ki Scar. Ki was everywhere. Most people can’t see the energy that enveloped the world, but Krillin could. It took skill and he didn’t learn how until he had started training with the monks a very long time ago. His simplest trick was what was going to save him today.

Everytime the man stopped he would leave a dominant Ki Scar. It looked like a tiny bolt of electricity. That was where he would stop moving one way and where he would start moving another. Krillin had him now. He knew that once he saw the Ki Scar that the man would be right back to him. It would have to be a split second action, but he was determined to stop this guy.

Krilon spotted it suddenly. It saw the rip in the air and had to move now. Krillin held one arm straight forward forming a fist. The other arm was out to the side so if the guy same next to him, then he was going to get clothes lined. Sadly, for the attacker, however, it was from the front. The man ran straight into Krillin’s fist. The punch impacted directly under the man’s chin and hit the center of his throat. At the speed that he was going, Krillin didn’t even need to put force behind the attack. The man practically committed suicide and the death was a broken neck.

The red haired man and bigger guy exited their vehicle. They walked up the stairs to some make shift palace. It wasn’t the greatest place, but not shabby either. It just didn’t look like something that a Grand Czar would inhabit. It was where Grand Czar Mitsirugi lived, however.

The red haired man made it through the door first and saw something that was out of the ordinary. The room that the Grand Czar normally sat in was destroyed. Everything was tossed around the room and windows were busted. It was a complete mess and there were only two people who sat in the room. On of the men was the Grand Czar who was tied up in his own throne. The other one was Krillin who leaned on the desk before the Grand Czar’s throne. He still wore the Hawaiian shirt and board shorts. He also wore a grin and a few bruises.

“Hey…” Krillin said to the guy.

The red haired man ran his fingers through his hair and started to laugh. “So you dealt with Van, huh?” Krillin nodded. “That’s pretty good. He was weak, but not a bad warrior at all. I commend you on that. I suppose you took out the guards here too then?”

“Yup, and the military barracks has been over ran too by those helpful little group of prisoners who you tried to execute. They didn’t hesitate to lend a helping hand at all. They even hired me out so I didn’t go through all this shit unrewarded.”

“All this before we even got back here? That is good. So…what now?”

“Well I’m actually planning on just letting you two just walk out of here for good and me hand this Grand Czar fellow over to the people. Any objections?”

The bigger man stepped up. “Yeah, I was paid to do this little job and I will get my money. That won’t happen if the rebels get the boss.”

The Red haired man laughed again. “No objections from me. Have at our little bald friend Raz and the best of luck to you. I’m going to head on out of here.”

Krillin looked at the red haired man in shock as he walked out of the door. He couldn’t believe that he was just leaving like that. He was way more powerful than the first man that Krillin fought. There wasn’t a doubt in Krillin’s mind that the red haired guy could beat him. Yet, he just walked away from the opportunity. Krillin couldn’t understand why. He even walked from the money that he was supposed to get paid.

The big man, Raz, stomped his way over to Krillin. He popped his neck as he walked towards him. Krillin started to get butterflies in his stomach. He knew that if the hulking monster before him was ever going to get the chance to hit him that it was going to hurt. Krillin didn’t want to give the man the chance though. He decided to make the first move.

Krillin jumped up into the air. He came down swiftly with a punch across the mans head and then an elbow. He didn’t want to stop so he maneuvered around the guy constantly throwing attacks. He would toss a few punches and elbows first. Then every now and then he would throw in a kick. They didn’t seem to hurt Raz all too much, but Krillin could see the attacks slowly taking effect. He could really see the effects after the blows to the legs. After realizing that, he continued to hammer his attacks on Raz’s legs.

It wasn’t too long after his constant barrage of attacks began to take their toll. Raz was getting even slower. Krillin could tell that the muscled out man’s legs were having a hard time holding him up. That was the signs that Krillin were looking for. He just attacked harder attacks on the man’s legs like kicks and such. The man was getting wobbly and was even showing a decent amount of pain in his facial expression. Krillin decided to end it there with a devastating kick on the side of the man’s knee. It was an attack that Krillin knew would break his leg and drops the man hard into the ground. He didn’t figure the guy getting up after that.

Raz’s heavy body dropped to the floor. His weight made an incredible thud and he started to scream. His leg was broken in half. Krillin just started to walk away from the man blocking the screams from his mind. He headed straight to the Grand Czar who was freaking out in the throne. The over thrown ruler knew what was about to happen. At any moment the rebels were going to come through those doors and take the man away and they did.

Krillin watched as rebels flooded into the room. There were a shit load of them. They were all decked out in weaponry stolen from the previous militaries armory. They were equipped to fend for themselves now. That was reassuring to Krillin because he did not feel like coming back here. He’d help once, but it was pointless to help the weak if they couldn’t start fighting for their selves. Krillin hoped that after this little lesson that they would start fending for their selves.

A lady, who was the leader of the rebels walked through. She headed right up to Krillin and threw him an envelope with Zeni. That was his payment for his help here. It wasn’t much, but at first he wasn’t even going to get paid. At least now he was going to get something out of the mess. That’s all that really mattered to him anyways.

Master Roshi looked at Krillin while they sat on the plane. He noticed that his student was busted from head to toe. He decided to comment on the matter in a way that Krillin didn’t really want to hear. “Well, that was a great vacation. After all that rest we’ll need to hit the training hard and heavy when we get back to the island. Yup…we’ve been lazy for the past few days and we need to go burn off some of that fat we gained. Get ready for when we get back.” Master Roshi started to chuckle as Krillin just slapped himself in the fore head and sighed.
