Its clear blue oceans, and rolling landscapes seemed so serene from up here. Earth's serene beauty from orbit belied its history of war and strife. Some of the greatest fighters in the universe were said to call it home, and yet Emim had never heard of it until recently. His cousins, Enlil and Samyaza, were killed by infidels from this Godforsaken mudball, and so he knew that his journey for vengenace must begin here.

Emim was typical of most Nephilim, at least physically, standing at roughly eleven feet tall, and tipping the scales at a slender 365lbs. Much of his live was spent in squalor, living in the palace of Hexlapa, the great matriarch of Arieso. While his cousins trained furiously in the art of combat, and dedicated themselves fully to the great god Raziel, Emim became obsessed with fine cuisine, art, and other leisure activites. That all changed the day Krillin, and Zorn, those murderous heathens, assasinated his kin. He had never had a close relative be killed in such a violent fashion, and the telepathic tremors forced him into a coma for months. During his fevored dreams, Samyaza's decapitated head urged him to take up the sword and avenge his death. Upon awakening, Emim stealthily escaped from the royal hospital and hitchd a ride to the nearest planet, Freiza, and from there took the galactic transit to Earth.

Emim was startled from his meditative thoughts by a violent shaking around him. The gigantic cruiser was docking with the orbital station. From there he would shuttle to Earth and train to be strong enough to avenge his cousins and fulfil his oath. Soon the people of this planet would be revelling in the great joy of enlightment...or be burned to the fiery depths of Hades with the rest of the pagans.

It had been just three weeks time since he had begun his training with the turtle hermit, and Emim was already feeling more sure of his abilities. He had learned a handfull of new abilities, albiet simple ones, and honed the techniques he knew from before. Though his instructions seemed unorthodox; Emim was not sure when he would need to fly as fast as he could to pick up fritos and dirty magazines, some of the greatest fighters in the universe had trained here and he considered it a privilege to train with Master Roshi.

The giant aquatic alien sat in semi-meditative state staring out over the miles of ocean on the horizon. This island reminded him of his home on Arieso, water as far as his onyx eyes could see, dotted with the occasional archipelago. Times like these were ambivalent for Emim; the sea helped ease his troubled and often angry mind, but it also enhanced his longings for his home in the royal palace with the rest of his family.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of cheap flip flops on sand and the scent of slightly overcooked bacon.

"Thanks Oolong, but I'm not really hungry right now."

"I'll be sure to tell him that," not Oolong after all. "Mind if I pop a squat next to ya fishy?"

"There's plenty of sand on the shore Master, I don't need all of it."

Roshi sat cross legged on the beach, balancing a paper plate overflowing with bacon, eggs, sausage and Raziel knows what else. The morning sun reflected sharply off of his dark tinted glasses as he looked out at the sun rising east of the Kame house.

"Most students don't last even one day, so I don't even bother getting to know them, not even their names. You've been here for just under a month now and really impressed me with your dedication and potential. What's your name, where are you from? I want to hear your story."
