Yay! I can't wait for D3; gonna be epic. And now I have to oppose British rule, and inform of Australia (anyone get that? Anyone? Ah you all suck).

Second largest country in the world after Russia, with most of it being arid desert. All the major cities are on the coastline, with Sydney and Melbourne being the most well-known. Kangaroos, wallabies, kookaburras, cockatoos, platypuses and dingos are all native to Australia, and I can occasionally look outside the window and see a kookaburra or a cockatoo perched on a tree outside. Downside is that they're both noisy as hell. And, I must point out, contrary to popular belief, kangaroos do not hop through the cities, nor do we ride them anywhere. They're in the country; you can see one if you're driving through, but it's nothing special.

Australia has a very moderate climate with the temperature going from about 15 degrees on rare days in the winter to 40 degrees on exceptionally hot days in the summer. It never snows in sydney, but if you're here in the summer it's worth checking out the beaches. There's some nice waves for those surfers, or you can just chillax on the shore or enjoy a cup of coffee right next to it.

Sydney city is a lot like manhattan except not as dirty and smaller, with less traffic. Main areas are the Town Hall and adjoining Queen Victoria Building (QVB), Circular Quay, the CBD (Central Business District) and Centerpoint Tower. You can find practically everything in the city, and whenever there's any sort of parade rest assured that Hyde Park (two streets away from Town Hall) will be packed to the brim.

Now for a history lesson. Australia was a British colony, and the First Fleet to sail out here was filled with convicts (Australia was supposed to be Britain's new prison). When Captain Cook first arrived in 1770, the land was already inhabited by its indigenous population, the Aboriginals. Since Cook and his crew could not discern any civilised culture (the aboriginals were nomadic and passed on their history and schooling orally) from the natives, they immediately claimed the land under the British doctrine of Terra Nullius (that the land belonged to no one and could therefore be claimed by any other). During the 1850s and right up until the early 1900s, there were massive gold rushes in Australia with many British and Asian people migrating there to seek their fortune.

There were several independent nations created (now the states) which were Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania, and later territories known as the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory. These states all kept tight patrols on their border and anyone wanting to cross into a different state was subjected to rigorous scrutiny. However, this all ended in 1901, with the Australian Federation and the unification of all the states into Australia as a whole.

During the First World War, Australian and New Zealand military pooled their resources and became the ANZACs (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps). The ANZACs, along with British and American soldiers, stormed the beaches of Gallipoli in Turkey, hoping to cut off the enemy's sea access. This battle was a bloodbath, with people being ordered to make a charge and certainly being cut down seconds after they did by opposing heavy machine gun fire. On Christmas Day, the Turks waved a white flag, as did the Australians. They both met on the field of battle, where so many of their comrades had died, and exchanged cigarettes, food and stories. On that night, both sides participated in a game of soccer on the battlefield, and the next morning they returned to their trenches to wage war once more. There were stories told of the Australians by their allied forces; of supermen six feet tall with bulging muscles, who held their knives in their teeth as they scaled the craggy and enormous cliffs of the beach with little effort, and then charged at their opponents, ripping them apart with their bare hands. No such thing happened. The ANZACs were just as petrified and terrified as all the rest.

Although Australia was its own country, it was still connected to Britain. However, in 1931 Britain passed the 'Statute of Westminster Act 1931', which made all former colonies of Britain their own seperate countries. Australia lent its troops to the fight in the Second World War, the Vietnam War and, unfounded as it is, the Iraq War.

And there's your brief history of Australia. Before you say anything, yes, I am a tour guide, and yes, I am telling you to come here. Nah, I'm just kidding. But it sounded like I was, so I thought I'd clear that up.

Laters.

Dude... finally someone that has played Starcraft and Starcraft: Broodwar!

In my eyes, Russia = a mix of Zerg and Protoss (Many units and strong ones at that ^_^)

China = Zerg and Terran mix (Many units (MANY!) and nice technology)

USA = Terran and possible Protoss mix (Good tech and pretty strong units)

^_^ This has been Starcraft interbred with Modern Warfare 101 with Digu Municha, your local neighborhood Saiyan Soul Reaper.

Oh yeah I forgot to add that in. Australia has like seven out of ten of the world's most poisonous spiders as indigenous creatures, and like nine out of ten of the world's deadliest snakes. Redbacks are some crazy shit.
