Spear;![]() Club; ![]() Armor (both are wearing it, as well as leather pants); ![]() Alrighty then. The helmet prevents the club wielder from simply bashing the spearman's skull in, but it protects nothing else. I say the club would win. Just look at the spikes on that thing. Even the helmet wouldn't be much protection! Ya, this one is kind of obvious, but... Since I did randomize this stuff, I guess I must post it. |

same reasoning as my last one. Although the club is vicious, it's far too clumsy a weapon to wield. If you were facing, say, three opponents by yourself, then I'd definitely go for the club, since you can just swing it and it'll hit someone. But unless you get that guaranteed hit, then it's useless for anything else. The spearman would get owned against multiple opponents unless he was extraordinarily skilled, like eyes in the back of a man's head kind of skilled. River Tam in Serenity skilled. The spear on the other hand is a more 'death by a thousand cuts' weapon. It involves blocking and keeping your guard up until the moment presents itself, then striking your opponent with as much force as you dare in order to maintain your defence, and the cycle continues. After about five of such hits, combined with the effort involved in swinging the club repeatedly, the opponent will begin to tire. That is, unless they're an android. |

Fair enough, but if the club managed even one hit on the opponent, it would shatter their bones and is basically 1-hit-kill. Besides, if the spearman was that smart, the clubman would be as well, as stated in round 1. |

I understand that, however, their choice of weapon shows their intelligence. A smart fighter going into a one-on-one wouldn't take a club unless he was very strong and able to wield the weapon as the spearman does his; however, you've already said they were similar. I'm just saying I think the logical choice is the spear. And it basically all depends on who gets the first hit; for the rest of the battle, whoever took the first blow is going to be at a disadvantage |

Let's assume the club is twenty pounds and the spear is three pounds. Club could bash faces in. Oh well, I guess the spear wins. |

A twenty pound club is super light. A three pound Spear is inhuman. |

Spear has a much longer range plus it can be thrown. So spear def wins! |

Judging by the looks of the weapons it would be more around 60-80 pounds for the club and 20-30 pounds for the spear. Also Nail, by the look of the spear it's not a throwing spear and would only be useful for stabbing and crashing skulls. |

20-30 pounds for a spear? That thing is rediculous. 60-80 pounds for a club? No. A real spear is at most 10 pounds and that is a freakishly ridiculous spear. The heaviest ever was around 15 pounds and that's what they would use to take down horses. 5-10 pounds is a decent weight. Average club would be max 30 pounds. Not even a warhammer which would be made of steel or iron would weigh so much. Weapon weight is much different than normal weight. A 6 pound sword is average longsword. They reach max 8 pounds. A greatsword would reach max 20 pounds and that takes a freakin beast (I know I own a 16 pound sword and it's nuts to try and wield it). Average Katana is max 8 pounds. All in all a skilled spearman would obliterate a club man as again with staff vs sword except the spear has a greater advantage because the club is clumsy and the spear is a very fluid and usually very balanced weapon. |
