Trident;![]() Throwing Star; ![]() Trident. The throwing stars are quite weak. Plus, the trident is hard to miss with. Assume there are 10 throwing stars. |

Star, with luck. Trident, with distance. A throwing weapon vs a melee is usually a one-sided fight. Is the throwing-star person trained to use them? |

If the Trident wielder is trained to use the trident then the person with the stars would be trained to use them as they are equal in skill. I'd say throwing star anywhere from 20-30 feet, because the fast little bitches are hard as hell to dodge, I know, my jackass of a cousin used to have some with blunted edges that he would endlessly throw at me. I had nothing but some sticks... those things come fast, expecially if the person throwing them is skilled because they can throw them faster while still maintaining their accuracy. |

Ya, but they aren't very powerful. You could survive throwing stars with just leather armor, but of course all these guys have is leather pants. |

Leather pants would not stop the stars shown in the picture as their points are a bit longer then average, enough to cut throw the armor and pierce vital muscles, bones, and viens just under the dermis. (Lower skin layer) Throwing stars are actually quite powerful, more then you would expect of such a small weapon. When thrown they spin quickly as they fly towards the opponent, increasing the power with which they hit and making them able to piece bones and even ones skull. |

That's what she said. >.> Anyway, Ninja Star > Trident, if it has distance. |

Roman arena is the stage of these first eight fights. Next four, I'll decide then. |

The roman arena is about the size of a baseball field (The inside of the arena anyways) So I'd definatly say the stars, as the thrower could just keep his distance from the trident wielder with ease. |

He only has 10 stars, though. When he runs out, he's dead. |

When he runs out he'd have surely gotten the Trident guy in several places, meaning he would only have have to wait it out and stay away until the man died or passed out of blood loss. |

In a Roman arena, there isn't anywhere to run and hide. The trident wielder would land at least one hit, which is therefore three hits. |

One hit doesn't technically have to be three hits, he could just knick him with one of the sides. And in a Roman Arena there are lots of places to run, not hide, but yes, it would be easy to run from a person with a medium ranged weapon like the Trident. |

Tridents can be thrown. Besides, run all you like in a Roman arena, you can't get out. Eventually you'll get killed by the opponent. |

Tridents can be thrown, but they are also easily dodged when in a distance of over 20 or so feet. Like I said, the person throwing the stars could just strike their opponent several times then avoid major damage by keeping as far away from their opponent as possible. Eventually the guy with the trident would die or pass out from blood loss and the star guy could just walk up and finish him, or continue standing back and waiting it out. And if the guy with the trident throws it and misses, his opponent could easily pluck it out of the ground and bear down on him. |

Someone who knows how to throw a shiruken would know where to hit a person. They can be just as lethal as a trident. A master thrower would be able to hit someone quickly and where they want it. Now that's assuming they are masters, if not and are just novices then a trident wielder would win. Stars are not easy to throw accurately. |
