Do you know what it is that you must do to protect the world you hold so dear?, Kami's words rang in the back of A'grahl's head as he reflected upon the lesson Kami had just given him. Kami led A'grahl from the time chamber, leading him outside of his pallace again. As he led him outside, A'grahl had to adjust his eyes from being within the machine for so long. The clouds above seemed to be spread thin, and the air seemed less crisp. Perhaps it was the effect from being in a completely perfect atmosphere for so long. "Master Kami," A'grahl began, stopping as Kami swept his arm at him to end his sentence. Do you know what it is that you must do to protect the world you hold so dear?, the words echoed once more, his eyes moving to a mass of blackness on the horizon. Kami's eyes settled around a massive storm cloud, it's size increasing marginally over a matter of seconds. He seemed very confused by the situation, scanning the area for a few moments before dropping his walking stick. Grabbing A'grahl by the shoulder, he locked eyes with him for a moment. "Do you remember what I taught you A'grahl?" Kami said with a concerned look in his eyes,"Do you remember the most important thing in your life?" "If I am to protect the Earth," A'grahl repeated as his mind traced the words Kami had instilled in him,"I must be able to reach every end of the planet and hear every call for help. If I am to protect my friends, then I must become a shield to cover them from any danger that might come to them. If I am to protect life, then I must be willing to sacrifice my own to do so." Kami nodded as he looked back to the storm cloud,"Something does not seem right here. You must hurry to the mesa where that storm originated and find out what is going on. Hurry A'grahl, I have a terrible feeling about this." - Post 1 337 words |

A'grahl promptly lifted himself from the white stone platform, his ki creating a swirl off dust around him as he hovered above the ivory tower. His hair was thrust about in all sorts of directions, though his weighted clothing was anchored to his body. As he hovered a bit higher, he could feel the air getting very dry. "I will do all I can to figure out what is causing this," A"grahl said as he took a good look at the plains below. The storm seemed to be originating from the mountains beyond his sight. Spinning around slowly, A'grahl bowed to Kami and smiled. He gave a somewhat salute with two fingers from his right hand, flipping over backwards and propelling himself from the edge of the tower. He forced ki from his head all the way down to his legs in small bursts, causing him to soar through the air like a rocket. As the wind whipped past the moisture seemed to return to the air, his lungs now filled with the cool chill of cold air. In the distance still, the coulds were ominously looming. The clouds below had nearly doubled in size since Kami pointed it out to him. As A'grahl made his way closer a large group of vehicles, one with a large satellite dish, was gathering just outside of the stormy weather. There were people in business suits gathered around the vehicles, yelling over the gunshot-like sounds of the wind hitting large pieces of their equipment into other equipment. I wonder if they might know what is going on here, A'grahl wondered as he watched the clouds thicken, this time unleashing a few bolts of lightning around the area,I think it's best to risk asking them momentarily, and it'd probably be best to get them to evacuate the area to prevent any harm that might befall them. -- Post 2 309 words |

As A'grahl began flying towards the people gathered below a bolt of lightning flew past his head. It was within feet of his body, and the residual static was enough to electrocute him thoroughly. As the surge shot through his body, A'grahl lost control of his flight and began to plummet rapidly. How did that nearly hit me? The lightning came from dead ahead of me, A'grahl thought as he fought to regain his composure. During his fall he noticed that the sun had completeley been blotted out by this point, the storm clouds covering even more sky than before. Just a few feet before he slammed into the ground, A'grahl had regained his balance and landed firmly on the dirt. The dust cloud that shot up from below him created a white cloud around him as his aura created a white hue throughout the red clay. The crowd before him had begun to panic as he made his way through the cloud to meet with the people before him. "Do not panic, please," A'grahl said as he rushed to them, another bolt of lightning striking just outisde of the circle of vehicles,"I need to know what is going on so that I can stop it." A man from the group, hiding behind one of the car's, turned at A'grahl's words. "I don't know who you think you are but there is no way to stop this. Dr. Vysoji has created a machine that can actually control the weather. We sent in a police force of nearly thirty two men to apprehend him and....oh god....oh my god...he has this android that killed them all....god help them...." "Get do-" A female began to shout as another bolt of lightning shot into the group, heading directly at the woman. A'grahl mustered all of the ki in his body to teleport by the woman's side and thrust her out of harms way. The bolt of static nearly slammed into his body, again causing the viscious surge to flow through his body. --- Post 3 333 words |

As he kept trying to regain his conscious, he noticed a few of the vehicles pulling away from the group. The humans rushed away, which was a good thing for A'grahl. It meant he could spend his time tracking down this Dr Vysoji and his murderous android counterpart. There seemed to be a meteorological observatory near the mountain's peak nearby. The biggest problem would be approaching someone who had direct control over the power of lightning. Unfortunately, at the rate that the clouds were expanding it left A'grahl with little time to formulate a plan of attack. As his options continued to run low, the cloud fired another bolt at him. With lightning quick speed, he shot to the side and teleported beyond it's reach, focusing his ki into his legs upon landing again. Damn! I don't even have any time to think. I will have to rush in and keep low, maybe the trees will give me enough cover to get into the observatory before dying, Thought A'grahl while he reappeared just fifteen feet from the impact site of the lightning bolt. Squatting down and putting his muscular and ki focus into his legs, A'grahl shot forward, springing in the direction of the mountains. He could see the static flickering in the clouds, knowing that another bolt would come soon. Using even more of his ki, A'grahl shot under the cover of the trees at the foot of the mountain, banking in and out of the branches and limbs that created the effective barrier to keep the doctor from tracking his motion. Using his scouter, A'grahl scanned the low treeline to see if he could pick up the androids power level at all. If the machine was going to assault him, he wanted to be prepared for it's approach. The darkness above made the forest nearly pitch black, the shade provided by the trees combined with the blackness from the clouds above. ---- Post 4 320 words |

While making his approach to the observatory, he picked up a feint ki trace to his left. Stopping in mid flight, he scanned the darkness rigorously. There was nothing he could locate at that time, but he did not believe the scouter was malfunctioning. You can't get the best of me damn you, A'grahl thought as he turned the range of his scouter down below it's normal maximum to expand it's capabilities to pick up lower ki signatures,I know you are out here somewhere. Just show yourself so that we can be done with this. "Fine then," A'grahl murmered and paced around for a moment, trying to draw out some form of reaction from the woods around him,"Come on....you can't hide forever. You're just boring me now. Oh well, I guess it is your loss then." There were no sounds within the woods, as the animals had long since evacuated their forest homes in lieu of the disaster looming overhead. An occasional eerie creek of oak and timber stressing in the wind would echo throughout the area, but not a single snap or break was heard around the area. He scanned again, still picking up nothing but static from the scouter. Damn, it might just be broken, Thought A'grahl as he then returned his focus to approaching the observatory,I will have to get this thing checked when I make it back to e- As if on cue, a ki blast hammered A'grahl in his hip and exploded into a storm of swirling blue wisps. He slammed into a large oak, snapping it in twain as he crashed into the grassy field below. The crater he formed served as a good basin for the trees that continued to fall in towards him. "Ah crap....." A'grahl muttered as three more oaks fell in towards him, their branches blotting out the being hovering above the crater. ----- Post 5 308 words |

As the oak came crashing down upon him A'grahl wriggled beneath the one that currently pinned him down. There seemed to be no way from being crushed, as he desperately channeled his ki into his legs and kicked at the tree on top of him. "Detonate!" A'grahl shouted as the explosion rang in his ears. Everything was a blur as the rain of oaken flakes fell upon him. Leaves and branches were burning all around him and there was a sign of movement that seemed more fluid to his right, but it vanished again without a trace. His scouter was ringing with errors due to the intense heat from his overpowered explosive kick. "Hide all you want, but I am not a coward and I will face you whenever you are prepared to lose," A'grahl called out in frustration,"I will not sit idly by and let Dr. Vysoji harm anyone." "Hahaha," Came a voice from above him,"Dr. Vysoji. Your ignorance is so sublime. This is why I will end your pathetic race. Humans always assume there is some evil villain behind everything, and one ghost transmission from within that observatory was enough to fool you all. I am the source of these storms and there is nothing you can do to-" His words were cut short by the fist landing in the back of his head. The explosion that followed caused the android to reel forward, his eyes focusing on A'grahl who had somehow been both behind and in front of him. "Apparantly your programming did not inform you of Master Roshi's Illusion Wolf technique? Something I learned from the Master while we were still close. You have been talking to an illusion this whole time, bypassing your built in scouter to inflate your own ego," A'grahl said with determined look in his eyes. "I wont kill you, but you will be dismantled and reprogrammed by Capsule Corporation to serve the greater good," A"grahl stated, crushing the android's chest with his foot. ------ Post 6 327 words |
