"I can't believe I have to go out to the middle of some desert for some old chick. She probably showed her boobs off to Roshi like centuries ago and now I'm paying for it." Spopovich complained, trudging though the hot desert sun. "This is probably the place that all that milk goes to when I have to run though the mothafugin' desert... don't they know that is dangerous... damn wish there was a road out to this place..." He continued, heaving a very large package of goods up on his back. "Don't even know why one old woman needs so much mothafugin' shit to eat... I know she lives out in the freaking desert but does she need all this goddamn water.... who lives out in the desert anyways, jesus..." He said, holding the package with one arm and wiping the sweat from his brow with the other.

Roshi had tasked him with going out to deliever some goods to an old woman friend of his. Seems like a gang calling themselves the Demons of West City had branched out and nearly destroyed some town that grew lots of food near here. In the desert. Seems like this bunch of morons lead by some guy calling himself AlMaut don't need to eat. So that is how he found himself in this place of flat land in every direction, and lots of sand. Well, to be fair, there was, like, one cactus as well. He cursed.

There were a lot of bones too. Things weren't meant to live out here.

Off in the distance he spotted a house... hazy in the heat. But that was good enough for him, and he blasted off to it. Looked like it had a pool and everything.

"Yes!" Spopovich cried out, dropping the food behind him and jumping for the water... hitting nothing but sand as the mirage faded. The curse words said then are best not repeated.

A couple hours later after picking up his heavy package, Spopovich spotted a small house still hazy from the heat off in the distance. "This had better not be another mirage..." He cursed the fates, trudging towards it, wearily and pissed off. It took him a good little bit to get there, but then he arrived in the 'yard'. Roshi had given him strict orders not to crack open the package till he got there.

Well, he was here.

He dropped the package behind him, ripped it open and pulled out a water bottle, downing it one big gulp. Then he noticed the kids watching him- thin and looked like they might drop over any second from dehydration. An old woman appeared at the window, before heading outside to greet him.

"Hello... I'm Farrah, I was beginning to think Roshi had forgotten about us- are you drinking out water?" She asked, putting one hand on her hip. Spopovich, mouth still dripping with water, empty bottle in hand, had no response. Till she started beating him with her cane.

"Oww, shit, listen, sorry- I was thirsty, come on..." Spopovich complained, holding his arm up to block the weak annoying blows. When she finally stopped she order he come in and take the food with him, so he dragged the package in and then she made him put the food away too. "What am I, a damn ass grocery bagger..." He continued to complain as he put all the stuff away.

"I'm so glad we have supplies once more. Me and all my children have been without them for almost two weeks now- since the Demons did what was done..." Farrah sighed heavily, a couple of her kids coming over to stand with her.

"How many kids do you have?" Spopovich blurted rudely, staring at them all. And plus the ones outside... he briefly considered mentioning something involving Roshi and child support, but thought better of it.

"Nine." The Arabian woman replied, staring at him confused. She stood up slowy, mumbling something about preparing a little food. Spopovich once again bit his tongue about Roshi, moving out of her way. "I hope something is done about those guys soon..." She said, pulling out some supplies.

"Yeah, real shame. See you guys later." Spopovich said, giving a half hearted wave and turning to leave.

"Well, see you soon." Farrah said, humming.

"What?"

"Well, if nothing is done about those gangs... you'll just be out here again in a couple weeks. See you."

Spopovich cursed again, and she couldn't cover all of her kids ears. Finally, he said, "Point me in the right direction..."

Who lives in the desert? Man.

A few hours later, Spopovich touched down outside of the destroyed town. It wasn't quite West City, but it was close enough that The Demons of West City had stopped by. He had looked at it from the sky and it looked pretty bad. The crops were all ruined. Dumbasses. Didn't understand the beauty of nature and how you needed food to eat. Thinking about nobody but themselves, jeeze.

Spopovich had a brief moment of irony, but waved it away. "And whats with kids these days liking demons so much... naming their gang that- shit, all the demons I've met are pansy asses." The burly warrior said out loud as he walked into the ruins of the town. He saw some movement. Looked like there were still some people alive here.

"Listen up! I'm not here to hurt you guys- I'm here to take out those small dicked sons of a gap-toothed hooker, so if you could tell me where their base is..." He didn't have to wait long. Out of a local bar, that still seemed to be standing, some biker dudes walked out wielding pipes and chains. They looked pretty ticked off.

"Nevermind then." Spopovich smirked. He hoped everyone stayed and watched.

These guys weren't the main force, they were just hanging out here in their kill like a bunch of maggots. Trying to spread fear and butthurt about not being as good as the higher up guys but trying to look as tough. He hated hanger-oners. The first guy didn't even know what hit him, and he was down before he could say anything.

"How dare you talk about the Demons... that way..." One of the other guys said, unable to stop himself before Spopovich had taken out the first member of their poesy. He immediately turned tail and ran. Smart man.

"Lets all take a moment and look at this situation." Spopovich said, putting his foot on the one he downed. "I'm probably going to kill you all, so your best bet is doing like that guy- running home with a trail of piss behind you and re-thinking your life." He chuckled at his own wit. "Because one of you I will keep alive, and it will be the one that really ticks me off. So that I can ask him about where your leader lives. And I ask... real hard."

The line about running away had pretty much ensured they would stay, which was fine with Spopovich. They all jumped him and some of them even had knifes. They didn't hurt so much, they were just really annoying, and Spopovich swatted them just like flies. One of them even resorted to kicking Spopovich in the crotch- ensuring his place as the one who ticked him off the most.

In the end, Spopovich didn't really kill any of them. They were just thug kids, after all. He slammed the one he picked up against the wall after having a little knock-out fun with the rest, and got in his face. "Tell me where AlMaut is, Nutsack!" He yelled, using the name he thought of him as.

"I-I... can't..." He babbled back, looking scared. "AlMaut means death in Arabic, and he lives up to it!" Nutsack said scaredly, darting his eyes around frantically. Maybe on drugs. Spopovich couldn't tell. Whatever.

"Yeah, I think I heard a little basic Arabic..." Spopovich mumbled, before putting pressure back on the kids neck. "But I am DEATH now, kid, here and now- you can risk it with me or tell me where he is and I'll go kill him and you won't have to worry about it, dumb shit." He cursed. Man, little punks ticked him off.

That got him talking. Biggest house, a couple of miles more west. In West City. Figures. But at least he got an exact address.

Some of the beaten down townsfolk had emerged by now, and stared at him wide-eyed. They still looked scared. He sighed.

"Listen here!" He yelled, dropping the brat and walking out to a middle place. "This bastard AlMaut and his Demons are just ruining your lives- doing as they please. There can't be that many of them. I know they probably have weapons, are probably stronger then you... but they killed a bunch of you anyway. What harm is there in standing up and doing something? Sure, you personally might survive- but at what cost? Living in a shithole like this, building it back, having them burn it again... not getting a real life? You only have one life, you dumb shits, do what you want with it. Don't take that kind of shit... I never have." Spopovich yelled, pointing at himself. Some people clapped. Some people looked unconvinced.

And some were asshats.

"That was touching..." AlMaut, he assumed AlMaut, said, sitting on his bike surrounded by hundreds of members of his gang. A lot more then he thought in the first place, at least. He also was holding a kid up with a knife to his neck.

Spopovich blasted a curse, but couldn't really do anything. He was going to really kill that kid if he made a move. And Spopovich didn't want any more kids dying because of him, yet. He had reached his quota for the year.

"At least I don't have to head over to your house." Spopovich joked. He spotted that guy that ran off earlier. Guess he wasn't going to re-think his life. He flinched when AlMaut pressed the knife down a little on the kids throat.

"Bow to me." AlMaut yelled.

"Jeeze, aren't you a cliche and a half." Spopovich shot back, but did as he said, getting down on his knees and bowing to the ugly dude on the bike. How did someone like that come to run a professional group like the Demons of West City?

"Yes, see how your savior bows to me!? Haha! Crush your spirits back into the ground... I rule all the outskirt villages!" AlMaut claimed, and Spopovich rolled his eyes from his position on the ground. Soon after, the dude sent some guys over to kick at him hard, and while it wasn't so bad, it did piss him off.

"Look how weak you are down there... can't stand against me... I am invincible." The crazed gang leader said, laughing, and they slapped a device to inhibit his movements on Spopovich. Now he was stuck in his bowed position as long as the remote AlMaut had stayed intact. Damn.

Soon more gang members were back to kicking at his now helpless body, and some were even stabbing him. "Cut him up a bit, and then kill him!" AlMaut said, watching intently. Looked like he got off to stuff like this. Illusions of his own power. What an insignificant human being.

"When I get out of this...." Spopovich grunted, getting stabbed again. Then he heard something...

A rock came whistling out of the gathered crowd of villagers, hitting AlMaut and causing him to loose his grip on the kid. Spopovich observed the kid got away into some old buildings. He hoped that brat appreciated this.

"Leave him alone!" "We're not taking orders from you anymore!" "I want to live my life free of fear!" The crowd yelled, taking up the traditional arms of the angry mob.

"What!" AlMaut yelled, looking pretty ticked off and confused at this turn of events. "Um... control them, go over there and kill some. Er, make an example of the leaders!" He told his uneasy gang, who all rushed into the crowd. AlMaut himself ran forward to watch easier, standing beside the crippled form of Spopovich who was rather amused by the whole thing.

"You killed my Father!" A teenager said, somehow getting to AlMaut in the chaos, and stabbing at him with a blade. The gang leader cursed, and fought back against the boy. It seemed like the kid had been training for this moment for a while though, and they were pretty even. Especially since AlMaut was still holding the device in one hand- so could only fight back with a single arm. Until a lucky blow...

"Ah!" AlMaut yelled, gripping the cut on his arm as he stabbed the heroic teenager though, time seeming to slow down as the device slipped from his fingers. It crashed to the ground and shattered. "What... noo.." AlMaut continued, looking around quickly. Spopovich wasn't where he was a second ago.

"Hi." The burly warrior smirked, rising up behind him, which elicited AlMaut to scream like a little girl. Spopovich grabbed his head in one head and simply squeezed. "Say hello to Goz and Mez for me." He offered, crushing the head in between his fingers. The sickening crack was heard though out the battle, which caused everyone to look over. And for The Demons to give up their fight.

Spopovich helped the guy that freed him up, and offered him a congratulation.

"The Hero of West City!" "Long live Captain Bald!" "The Greatest Man to Ever Live!"

"Man, I ain't no hero, just didn't want to go to no desert no more." Spopovich said back, turned, and flew off quickly back to Roshi's place before they could say any more.
