Tien flew up above the skyline of the city. Earth was truly a beautiful world; Tien felt blessed to live in such a paradise. Tien circled the city a few times. Now that he was out beneath the stars, it was much easier to forget the horrors of the day before, but they still lingered at the back of his mind. If Tien wanted to rid himself of these memories, he would have to find some way of distracting himself from his own troubled thoughts. A few moments later, Tien thought he saw something off in the distance. Some sort of explosion or flash in the western part of the city. Since it was the only thing he had to do at the time, and anything was better than going back home and brooding about hid day, Tien decided to check it out. Flying down towards the area he had seen the flash, Tien determined that it must have been a flash and not an explosion after all. There were no fallen buildings or columns of smoke rising into the air. It had been an odd sort of light, come to think of it… not at all natural, Tien didn’t think he had ever seen anything like it before. Flying a little lower over the general area where he had seen the flash, Tien saw pair of vehicles speeding away; fast by the standards of this world’s somewhat respectable technology, but slow compared to Tien’s capabilities. Tien set out toward the flying cars, thinking that anyone going that fast had either something to run from or somewhere to be, and that they might know something about that odd light. Just as Tien was closing in on them, he heard a crash come from a few blocks in the opposite direction from where the vehicles were traveling. wird count: 306 |

Thinking quickly, Tien decided he was more curious about the crash than the cars. After all, if the people in the cars were running from something, the thing they were running from would probably be a lot more fun. Turning toward the noise, Tien began to head toward it, flying in the streets, twisting around buildings for his amusement. Coming to the area he thought the crash had come from, Nappa saw nothing. Flying higher and looking around, Tien saw a large hole in the wall of a building one street over. Looking around the area, Tien saw a knocked over street lamp in the direction the cars had been traveling. Looking in the direction he presumed whatever caused the hole was traveling, Tien saw nothing, but set off anyway, flying higher this time for a better view of his surroundings. It was not long before Tien saw the source of the destruction. Bounding down the street was a creature, somewhat like an Earth dog, but metallic looking, as if it was put together with metal plates. Symbols were inscribed all over it like tattoos, and it was large, almost the size of an elephant. All in all, it looked like a good evening’s entertainment. Flying past the marauding beast, Nappa flew downward and landed several dozen yards ahead of it. The creature bounded toward Tien, its eyes glowing green, then it went right past him, continuing on into the night without so much as acknowledging the sayian’s presence. Well, Tien wasn’t one to take that sort of treatment lying down. Launching himself after the dog-thing, Tien grabbed it by its strong, lizard like tail. Swinging the creature around by its tail, Tien hurled it back in the direction from which it had come, hoping to make it angry so that it would engage him in combat. The creature regained its footing with surprising grace, standing and observing this new development. After a moment, it seemed to decide that the best course of action was to eliminate this obstacle, because it charged Tien, moving even faster than it had before. word count 350 total(not finished) 653 |

Bearing down upon Tien, the creature leaped high into the air, aiming at Tien on its way down, mouth open as if it wanted to swallow the sayian whole. With the practiced ease of a true martial artist, Tien prepared his defense. Holding his hand up in front of him and over his head, Tien grabbed the creature’s jaws in his hands, holding its mouth open so that it could not bite. To Tien’s great surprise, the creature expelled a jet of green flames from its open mouth, burning the mutant warrior. Surprised by the sudden attack, Tien released the creature’s jaws, staggering backward, reeling from the pain of the burns. The creature did not seem to have any compassion for the injured warrior, however, as it continued to press its attack, moving forward and swiping at Tien with its wicked looking front claws. Tien saw the creature coming after him, but not until it was too late to avoid the attacks. Raising his arms up in front of him to block the blow, Tien felt the beast’s claws rip into the flesh of his right forearm. Rolling out of the way of the next swipe, Tien launched himself at the creature, slamming his left shoulder into its unprotected flank. The ferocious blow sent the creature flying into a nearby building. Tien paused for a moment, taking time to catch his breath, but his rest was not long because the beast burst out of the building, not from the side but actually through the roof, bearing down on Tien once more. This was turning out to be more trouble than it was worth, Tien thought to himself as he redied himself for the continued fight. Word count: 321 total: 974(not done) |

This time Tien was better prepared for the attack. As far as the mutant warrior could tell, his opponent was not able to fly, and Tien intended to use that to defeat his currently airborne opponent. Flying up toward the beast, Tien avoided another stream of fire that was sent his way, moving around it and thrusting both his fists into the beast, forcing it into the air rather than back toward the ground. In an aerial fight, Tien would have the advantage of maneuverability while his opponent would be nearly helpless. After forcing the creature up, Tien moved around to its back, not forcing it down again but grabbing it and flinging it even higher. Twist and turn though it might, the beast could not come anywhere near to the mutant’s maneuverability in the air; Tien had his opponent right where he needed and all that was left was to deal the killing blow. Once Tien had the creature in the air, he beat on it continually until it ceased all movement and the fire in its eyes died out. The creature fell to earth, with Tien flying close behind it. Landing calmly on the ground next to his fallen foe, Tien decided to check out the building it had come from. Heading back down the street at a leisurely pace, Tien saw that there were many more lights in in the windows than there had been a few minutes before; the residents must have been disturbed by the commotion. If the pathetic humans knew what was good for them, they would just cower in their homes and wait for this to blow over. Reaching the building that the creature seemed to have originated from, Tien saw that it was a bank, a building the humans used to store their money. Although designed to be secure, the architects clearly did not have supernatural dogs in mind when they designed the bank. Police already surrounded the building, clearly believing that this was some sort of robbery that had taken place. Tien was extremely curious about seeing the inside of the bank, and he was not about to let a police line stop him from going wherever he damn well pleased, least of all a human police line. Ignoring the milling crowd and the detour signs, Tien walked straight up to the bank, heading for the wall with the hole in it. As he crossed the line, an officer came up to him, standing between him and the bank, right where Nappa wanted to go. “Sir, you can’t go this way. Get back across the line or I’ll be forced to place you under arrest.” Tien looked at the pitiful little man, trying hard not to laugh… if only this guy had any idea what he was getting into. “Oh, I’m sorry officer, but I really do need to get in there. Perhaps you could make an exception? What seems to be the trouble anyway?” Tien asked, thoroughly enjoying think up things he could do to this man momentarily. “There’s been some sort of break in here, anyway it is no concern of yours, now get back across that line now!” the officer said, putting an emphasis on his last word. “Break in? That’s not what it looks like to me. Take a good look at the debris. Whatever broke through that wall obviously came from the inside.” Tien said, not moving an inch. The officer seemed reluctant to carry out his threat of arresting the sayian, Tien was curious how long he could keep this up. “I don’t care what you think about it, civilian! I’m warning you! Get back behind the line before I arrest you! I really don’t want to do it, the paperwork is a real pain in the ass, but your starting to really get on my nerves, big guy!” The officer said without so much as a glance in the direction of the debris. He clearly wasn’t the brains of the operation, just a grunt here for crowd control. Another officer was taking an interest in what was going on now, attracted by the little shouting match the two were having. word count: 319 total: 1670(not done) |

“Hey, what the hell is going on here? Who are you and why are trespassing on this crime scene?” The new officer demanded, clearly not in the mood for this sort of distraction. Tien could see that it was time to end this little encounter, he was getting bored anyway, and this new policeman looked like he really was about to arrest the mutant warrior. Tien bludgeoned each of the officers with quick punches to the chest, sending the two of them sprawling. Down to a man, every other officer in the place drew their weapons and aimed them at the burly looking mutant warrior. Grabbing a nearby squad car, Tien lifted it up in front of him, using it as a shield as he ran for the gaping hole in the bank wall. The bang of gunfire filled the air as they shot at Tien’s shield, but the bullets were not coming completely through the car. As Tien drew near to the bank, one of the bullets found its way into the car’s gas tank. The car exploded with Amazing force, actually throwing Tien back, although it was not enough to injure him. Getting up and brushing himself off, Tien saw that the entire place was in an uproar, everyone rushing to see the explosion, or running away from it. Tien took advantage of the confusion to slip into the bank unnoticed; by this time everyone probably assumed he was dead, and by the time they realized that there was no body, it would be far too late for any of them to do anything about it. Darting in through the hole in the outer wall, Tien moved out of site of the street and took a look around, trying to locate the area where the creature had emerged from.
