Spopovich still couldn't believe he had left Roshi's place. What was he supposed to do now? The familiar smells and routine of the Master he had were quite familiar to him by then... but he knew he had to move on. Ryouta had went back to her Father, the people after her no longer interested in her ransom once they caught wind of Spopovich. He had that effect on people. And Roshi had other students to come in. Students that needed him more. Spopovich had already completed the final trial of Roshi... and even bested his former greatest student, but he knew it was time to move on. Past time. But he would remember and respect his first good master, even if he didn't show it. He wore the traditional gi and symbol of the Kame school now instead of his former one piece suit, and he constantly had it weighted down for training. He still wore his regular boots, though. Once he had left the Kame House, it hadn't taken long for him to delve back into a life of crime even if he was good at heart. It was more lucrative, even if he knew Roshi wouldn't approve... still, it wasn't like he was killing for money. At the moment. But what was he to do? He'd been living at a hole in the wall apartment complex, cheap and hidden, but it sucked and he missed the Kame House. He had been getting ripped most every night, too. But then he heard some rumors... even though he was a criminal, he was still good at heart, so he knew that... maybe this teacher would take him. A new Master that he to find, that only took people with good intentions. He didn't know if he'd be good enough. But, hey, it was worth a shot, right? |

It was a burden, for sure, doing what he did. He killed people. He stole. He was a criminal, a killer, a mercenary for hire. He was uncouth, rude, pretty dumb most of the time even though he could be smart, and he did a lot of drugs. Not a lot of the hard stuff, just herb and his steroids to get him pumped up. But he still had a good heart, people told him that. He didn't know if he believed that. He deserved Hell, right? Bad people went straight down. That was what happened last time he died. Maybe there was no excuse to take a life, even if the life taken was a dark one. Even if the life taken saved lives. The kid... Rasputin... did they deserve? Rasputin had been a friend once and he killed him like a dog. And he didn't have to. He was defenseless where he was... His sources had led him to believe there a small Native American village nearby, people that preferred to live off the land then be fake like everyone else. Spopovich respected that. These days everything was a copy of a copy, something about Starbucks, living without technology was purer somehow. He saw it in a movie. The Slavic Warrior always liked Native American culture, liked to believe he had some in him even though he mostly Russian and Slavic. Just because you weren't one of them didn't mean you couldn't respect their way of life, though. Native chicks were fucking hot too, you had to admit. He thought he heard somewhere that, in Native American lore, if your sins weighed too heavily you'd sink straight down and if not you'd go up, he was probably wrong about that though. Spopovich was thinking about the after life a lot lately since he got back from the other-side, would he still sink to the depths? He still remembered... |

Spopovich pulled up to the village in the middle of the day in his pickup. He'd finally broke down and bought one instead of bumming rides or flying everywhere, so it was handy finally being able to drive everywhere. And he could since he didn't live on a fucking island in the middle of the ocean these days. Damn hermits. The Well-Dressed Brute was wearing some normal clothes right now, button up shirt, jeans, and his traditional boots instead of wearing Roshi's gi everywhere. You got weird looks. He only put it on for fighting, usually. He had been spotted. Some native dude was already coming out to meet him. Shit, he hoped the roar of his engine didn't offend these guys. He cut off the pick-up's engine and stepped out, keeping the door half open, as the guy finally reached him. Looked to be in about his twenties, dressed pretty sharply and tanned. Pretty muscular, maybe a warrior in the tribe or something. "I told you people to stop coming out here, we're not leaving! I don't care how many thugs like you they send out!" The Native American guy said, looking pretty pissed off. Thug? Was that really how he looked? Most people thought convict. Convict or thug. Maybe he should grow some hair. Maybe a beard. Nah, then people would just think he was a pedophile. "Chill, man, I ain't got a clue what you're talking about. I'm just cruising." Spopovich said back, trying to look as non-threatening as possible. It was tough. That was when he noticed the Native American Warrior had a tomahawk. After sizing him up, Spopovich figured he could probably take him. "I don't believe that." The Warrior replied, still lowering his tomahawk, and staring him down. This was going to end messy. He hoped he didn't have to kill this young dude. |

"Upa! Do you always treat guests so harshly these days?" A much older man said, coming from the village beyond. He moved so gracefully and powerfully, commanded respect. This man was obviously the chief. "Sorry Father... but, he seems like hes from Askook's ranch. You know their type, trying to drive us out of our homes..." The Native American Tomahawk wielding warrior, he now knew as 'Upa', said though clenched teeth. Spopovich felt a wave of power wash over him, and noticed these two were fairly powerful. The kid and his Dad were both reading about a 260 Power Level, which wasn't too bad considering they were in the middle of nowhere. So, people were trying to drive them off their land... cliche, but it explained why Upa was so upset. "I'm Spopovich." He said, stepping forward to take the powerful chief's hand. "I was just coming to meet you." "Chief Bora." He replied, with a strong handshake. Spopovich was right. "We live on these lands and at one with nature, your truck disturbs the animals." "Oh, yeah, sorry about that..." Spopovich said sheepishly, probably didn't get a lot of loud engines out here for all their comparing cars to animals. "Its alright, my friend. Lately... machines have been all over this place, there likely aren't any animals left, which plays right into Askook's hands." He said sadly, like one of those stories you don't just want to blurt out but want to make sound interesting and sad enough to inquire further. Bora wanted people to know about this. Spopovich took the bait, with a hard swallow. "Askook?" He inquired, trying his best to look concerned. Cold-hearted killers usually couldn't bring those feelings to the surface. Spopovich had a lot of practice trying to look normal. And even more being a big beefy killer freak that everyone hated. |

"We'll talk more in my tent, Askook has eyes and ears everywhere..." Bora replied, downcast. Upa still looked unsure of him. The young adult looked like he was about to raise a protest, but said nothing as they took Spopovich back to the village, leaving his pick-up back on the road. It wasn't a very long walk, but Spopovich could tell that this was a massive forest with lots of good fertile land. He could tell why this Askook guy would want to get his hands on it. But he was still a huge cock. As they approached the village, the thing he saw from the road started to come more and more into view until he was almost to the base of it. The tower, why he'd come here in the first place. It reached so high that it went further then he could see into the sky. He whistled in appreciation. "You like Korin Tower?" Bora asked him when he noticed him admiring the tower. "Actually, it's kind of why I'm here..." Spopovich admitted, to which Bora nodded knowingly. "Do people actually climb it?" "Of course." Bora said with a laugh, lifting the flap on his tent. "Did you know any of them?" Bora just smiled at him knowingly. "It was erected to honor a great hero and warrior long again, and my tribe protects it. Years ago, a young boy climbed it and, more recently, my own son did. He nearly died. Upa only recently returned to us to find his tribe is such disarray, its been a real shock for him." The powerful chief said with a worried look. "How long was he gone, how long did it take him to climb it and get back?" Spopovich asked, following him into the tent. Bora just looked back at him with a smirk. "Six years." |

"Six years?!" Spopovich replied, staring at him. He didn't have six years to waste here... how could that even be possible? He was dumbfounded as he followed Bora into the tent and sat across from him, cross-legged style on some mats that had been placed on the floor. Bora chuckled at him and introduced his wife who was already in the tent with apparently a younger child of the powerful chief. She quickly exited with him. "Man, yo' wife is banging." Spopovich said, to which the chief did not look amused. His former mirth at the warrior amazement with Korin Tower was gone, replaced with a mask of graveness. Looked like he was about to kick Spopovich's ass. "Uhh, man, I'm sorry, I, uh." "Askook." Bora started, pulling out a pipe and lighting up. "Was once a member of my tribe, but he became disillusioned with our ways." He continued, handing the pipe over to Spopovich who also took a long draw. "He tried to take over the tribe from me, but failed, and now has joined with powerful and rich men. He seeks to drive us off the land to give it to them, so they may... build a casino here and tear down the forest and Korin Tower." He said, taking the pipe back after Spopovich was done. "Askook doesn't understand. He has become corrupt and sends men to torment our village, and powerful ones, even me and Upa can do nothing against them." "Huh. What an assbag." Spopovich said finally, the herb in that pipe getting to him. How could they destroy a place with such good pot, man? It was like getting medical weed injected into your veins directly. "Why you telling me this?" "Well, I was hoping you'd help." Bora responded with a sheepish grin, being totally predictable. Here we go... |

Everyone was always looking for a motherfucking handout these days. "I don't know man..." He started, but was interrupted by a scream of terror. With one look between them, both Bora and Spopovich rushed outside to see a man terrorizing some local citizens. Except he wasn't a man. He was part cyborg, with metal parts covering most of his body. More cyborg then man. Spopovich couldn't get a reading on his power level. And he was standing over some woman, about to plunge his knife-hand into her. "Hey, bitch, what the fuck?" Spopovich called out to him, which directed his attention away from the hottie hot Native American chick. "Hey, you're not one of these... savages, what are you doing here? Going back to nature? Hahaha." The cyborg man replied, looking quite pleased with his random racism. "Dude, this is the fucking present. You can chill that shit out right the fuck now." Spopovich replied, stepping forward towards him. "Now, lets start with this- who the fuck do you think you are?" "I am Mercenary Ping, the greatest assassin in the world. I converted most of my body to cybernetic parts in order to be a more efficient and powerful killer, no mortal man can stop me and I work for the highest bidder. Pay me or I'll do my job and get paid by Askook." Mercenary Ping said, checking out the sharpness of his blade-hand as he talked. "I didn't ask for your life story, bitch." The Slavic Warrior said, cracking his knuckles and walking towards him. "Sorry, banks closed today, only currency Spopovich hands out is ass-kicking. And those are free." He continued, charging suddenly and delivering a punch to this douches face. He kept laughing right up till he got hit, then he was on the ground rubbing his nose. It all happened in the same instant Bora was telling him not to do, this was one of the dudes that kept coming to rough up their stuff. |

"Don't do it, Mercenary Ping is one of the toughest-" Bora said, his sentence unable to be completed as Spopovich had already decked Mercenary Ping. But he wasn't done for the count just yet, the cyborg warrior rising back to his feet to face Spopovich more seriously. "So, you're not just a weakling after all. But I am far superior, I have trained with the Crane School!" Mercenary Ping said as way of bragging rights, but Spopovich merely chuckled. "Psh, been there, done that, saved their asses." He said, laughing. "We gonna fight or are you going to leak coolant all over yourself or whatever piss-joke would be appropriate for a toaster?" Spopovich said, swinging his arms down against the mercenary once more, sending him skidding along the ground, but this time he recovered and leapt back to his feet. The Slavic Brute just waved him forward with his fingers, smirking at him the whole time. Mercenary Ping charged at him and gave him a free stab attempts, only a few hitting and piercing the skin, before being battered back by a giant fist again. "Shit, why is it I can take normal gunfire, but blades still hurt?" Spopovich complained, rubbing some blood off of himself from his wounds. "This will hurt!" Mercenary Ping promised, aiming his blade at him. "Dodonpa!" He said, the tiny blast heading at Spopovich to which he simply knocked it aside. He did the same attack several times as Spopovich kept coming at him, knocking them away each time easily. "You gonna need to step up yo' game more then that, bro." Spopovich said, laughing despite himself, and advancing on Mercenary Ping. The tough cyborg thought for a moment, before turning tail and running away as fast as he could to the combined laughter of the tribe and Spopovich. "Damn, what a pussy." |

"He'll be back, and with more troops from Askook's ranch." Bora said to bring down the mood, which Spopovich glared at him for. Psh, bringing down the mood, he just kicked that guys ass, should be clapping. "Damn man, of course hes coming back, but I doubt he has anyone over there that can beat me." Spopovich said smugly, and crossed his arms but Bora still looked unsure. "Whats up, Bora?" He asked, looking over at him. "Askook may send mercenaries like that out, but he is quite powerful himself, and uses a technique that... a dark technique, that I can't defeat. It kills you slowly as you fight him. He truly is the snake." Bora responded, Upa running up to join them. "Father, Father, Askook is coming!" Upa said, concerned. He wasn't concerned when Spopovich showed up. That was kind of worrying. Maybe this Askook guy was pretty good. Maybe he was really pretty good. "I can sense your power level, Spopovich." Bora began to say, "I can sense that you're not much more powerful then myself." He said darkly, looking like they were about to have their last stand here and now. This wasn't looking good. "What? I'm much..." Spopovich stated to say, but realized he was keeping his power level lower still from Roshi's training at a basic level of 300. "Yeah, well, don't worry." Spopovich assured him with a smirk when he saw the first of Askook's men. Some human dude. Upa jumped over to start immediately beating on him, and was doing pretty good. Even when another guy joined in. Spopovich just crossed his arms and watched. "Damn, your kids pretty good." "I know, he has been trained well." Bora said with a hint of pride. "He can control himself and he'll be even stronger then me one day." He continued, still prideful. |

But two guys wasn't all this Askook guy was going to send. Soon, there were guys with guns covering the whole place here and then Spopovich was able to put a face with the name. Askook was a Native American man of average height, covered in tattoos, and wearing no shirt. His hair was long and came down in a serious ponytail, and he had claws on his hands presumably for battle. Looked like a douche bag. "Askook, why have you come back here again?!" Bora said with anger, stepping up to face the tribal betrayer. "You were exiled in disgrace, never to return here." He said, crossing arms. "Then choose to make me leave..." Askook responded, smirking. Spopovich smirked too, this guy had a power level even lower then Bora. It would be an interesting fight. Wait. A twinge of disturbance went across Spopovich's mind as he focused his attention back on Askook. He was powering up. Rocks and trees started to uproot and levitate around his blueish green aura as it surrounded him, his fists clenched, his voice rising as his power level did likewise. It kept climbing, even making Spopovich take a step back. "You fiend!" Bora shouted, as at the same time Askook's men took down Upa due to sheer numbers, holding him against the ground. "How could you achieve such power?" He screamed over the roar of Askook's sheer power. "You stole it, didn't you?!" "I was always multitudes stronger then you, Bora. The Ultra Divine Water merely... amplified that. The stories were a lie, I survived because I was strong enough too, and look at me now!" He shouted, laughing manically. His power level had leveled out... he was nearly as strong as Spopovich. "That stupid cat was sleeping and I simply took it for myself, as I do with everything. Including this land. And I'll have that damn tower torn down." "You climbed the tower, you took the water... you violated..." Bora was aghast. |

"Some people just have talent, Bora. Now, come face me, oh mighty Chief. Let me kill you in front of your entire tribe, break their spirits by breaking their mightiness warrior!" Askook said, laughing manically, still flowing with energy as he had powered up to his highest level. Bora began to step forward, but Spopovich reached out his hand to stop him, and shook his head, stepping ahead instead. Upa was still pushed down against the ground by at least six of those minions. "What are you doing?" Bora asked, stepping back reluctantly. "Hell man, I guess I'll help ya. If just because of that fucking ganja', ya dig?" Spopovich said, looking over at Askook, who laughed in response. Bora had no response, just nodded gratefully. He knew he was outclassed here. "Who are you, you dare to face me?" The Native American powerhouse said, his skinny and muscular form towering over Spopovich from where he was. And he was tall, too. But not as thick as The Russian. "Yeah, I dare." Spopovich responded, rubbing his shoulder as he walked toward him. He was flanked on the left by Mercenary Ping, too. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Askook wasn't quite as strong as him. The fighters surrounded both of them in a circle ring, felt like he was back in high school. Askook jumped down into it, and immediately started the fight. Spopovich got first blood, hitting him in the face with a left hook and dropping back into a boxing stance. Askook was stunned for a moment before swiping at him with his claws, cutting into the Slavic Warrior. He blocked his face and leapt back in with a couple of quick jabs, but earned a kick in the face for his troubles sending him against the human ring, who pushed him back into it. |

Askook immediately jumped at him, stabbing his claws though him, his entire arm coming out the other side of Spopovich. The Slavic Warrior doubled over, his vision blurry, as he coughed up blood from his mouth. The claw and arm itself was totally pushed though Spopovich's body up to the shoulder. Spopovich leaned against Askook's body weakly, before the Native American Fighter pushed him off, pulling his arm out from Spopovich's stomach. Spopovich held his arm against his body, holding his blood and guts inside, coming at Askook again. The other warrior jumped around him nimbly as he was faster then the big brute. He fumbled, cocky that Spopovich was too weak to fight back now, and Spopovich leapt forward for a huge punch which sent Askook reeling, but caused more blood to pour from Spopovich's wound. Askook fell back against the ground, his face a mass of blood as he tried to get back up as Spopovich stumbled towards him. The crowd had stopped cheering and jeering now, just watching to see what would happen. The Slavic Warrior had trouble walking and not just from the terrible injury. Askook had poison on those claws, powered by his ki, that could take down any warrior around his level. Maybe even beyond. That shit could take down an elephant that had been living in 50x Gravity. Spopovich started to fall down, but turned it into an attack, bringing his elbow down on Askook's back which earned a grunt of displeasure from Askook. Then Spopovich rolled over away from him, coughing up more blood, and just lay there. He heard Askook get up behind him. Then he fell a hard kick land down on the hole where his stomach used to be. Spopovich grunted hard, but didn't notice, his mind a million miles away fading fast. Then it all went dark. |

Spopovich woke up like he had a hangover from one really terrible all nighter in Mexico, the birds chirping outside like a foghorn and the sun like a million terrible terrible TERRIBLE daggers stabbing his eyes. He felt like warmed over shit that someone had left in the fridge, then warmed up again, then eat and threw up. Damn, where did that image come from? Probably from falling asleep watching 2girls1cup that one time. Fuck. He felt awful. "What the hell." His voice rasped out as his eyes took in the sights around. Waking up after being nearly beaten to death shouldn't become a regular thing. It sucked. Looked like he was in someones tent, probably one of the tribe, one a mat, just with his pants on and lots of bandages, including a huge one over his stomach. He tried to move before finding out that was a terrible idea, so he choose to lay there for a while instead. "Hey.." He said weakly, rasping once more. Upa walked in just then, which was lucky, and looked over startled. "Spopovich?! You're.. actually awake? They said you wouldn't make it." He said, running over to lean next to him. "I.. uh... whats up." "You've been out for three days, the doctors and medicine men said you'd die at first, then that you wouldn't ever wake up. Even with a Sensu Bean, you needed a lot of work and you haven't recovered yet. After the battle, Askook was pissed and... took it out on.. my Dad, before, mm, giving us one week to move out of here. He took my mom and a lot of the girls from the village back to his ranch, threatening us with their deaths... Bora agreed to move out. Dad is there now, so Askook can make sure he upholds his side." Upa said, his voice breaking at points, and sadly. The tribes spirit had broken. Spopovich had failed. |

"You should probably get out of here as soon as your able... most of the tribe is already packing up. Its.. its not looking good, but thanks for trying to help. Maybe I'll see you around sometime? I'm looking for an apartment in..." Upa kept talking. "Fuck that." Spopovich said, interrupting him in a raspy voice, before forcing himself to get up. He grabbed a nearby bottle of water, he supposed that they had been using to make him drink while he out, and downed it quickly. He walked outside in a rush, with Upa behind him. The tribe and village looked awful. "What are you doing, whats going on?" Upa said, confused. "Here is the deal. You guys stop packing, I'm going to fly up to the top..." "What, of Korin Tower?" Upa said, his arms crossed. "Uh, yeah." "You can't fly to the top." He explained. "Well, I guess you could, but you can't till you climb up once." "What? Is that a rule?" "Nah, its mystical, man. Mystical rules." Upa said, looking at him. "It won't let you fly there till you climb it first." "Then I'll motherfucking climb it!" Spopovich said with anger, walking over to Korin Tower and putting his hand against it. The stone was cold. "What? Haha, Spopovich... it'll take you at least monthes to do, at the very least. They'll come and tear it down before then." Upa said, his mirth fading as he talked, him looking sad. "Nah, I can do it, see you later." "But in your condition-" Spopovich was already working his way up it, grabbing onto different hand-holds on his way to the top, finally climbing Korin Tower. It wasn't going to be easy, but he had to do it in a couple of days. And then come back down here and kick Askook's ass. Hard. All over the planet. Like a hacky sack. |
