We could introduce a system to specialties like we did for Speed Teleport and Intelligence, but for Stamina and Vitality. Seeing how they both are stats that fall fast, we could introduce something like for battle: If [name] is higher than all your stats [or if it's higher at the beginning of the battle], you gain [thing/action]. (could be a reduction in ki cost for attacks for example). If [name] becomes 50% lower, gain [input name]. (Could be +1 action if your determination is higher than your opponent for example). [because with less stamina you become more determined to fight harder if your determination is pretty higher, especially if it's higher than your opponent] I just feel like it would be really fun and cool to do this because stamina and vitality apparently drain really fast. P.s. All of you are welcome to contribute ideas! |

I was going to make my character an almost pure stamina stat person. It says that a high stamina means your less likely to be fatigued in battle. |

Well, as it is, Stamina doesn't actually affect anything, nor does Vitality. Strength is directly involved in damage calculation. Speed grants speed teleports and is used in arguments for and against dodging. Toughness is factored into how much damage that's done to you. Stamina is supposed to be used for tiredness, but nobody actually factors "battle fatigue" into anything other than stats. Vitality is the same way, it decreases with damage but otherwise is useless. Lets say two people have used large amount of DP on a single stat. One person picked strength, one person picked stamina. Person 1: Strength: 2,000 Stamina: 200 Person 2: Strength: 200 Stamina: 2000 Now lets say they both have the same power level and use a ki move that drains 10% ki. Person one uses up 10% of 200, which is 20, so they lose 40 PL points. Person two has the same power of attack, but loses 10% of 2000, so they lose 400 PL points from the same attack! Not only that, but the person who lost less Power Level from that has the SAME power of attack and has MUCH greater power behind all their physical attacks. Now, this is a bit exaggerated (who has a 2,000 in one stat and 200 in the other?), but you get my point. Here's what I think we should do: Take the ki drain, and then take that % of stamina and deduct it like normal. THEN, you take that number times ten, and you add that to the total PL instead of another multiplier. Since I know that's not going to make sense to anyone but me, let's think it through this way: Normal way of doing things: Generic Man #1: Power Level: 8000 Ki: 4000 All stats: 1,000 Uses a 10% drain move with a damage lvl of 5. 1.6 x 8,000 = 12,800 My way: 10% of 1,000 x 10 = 1,000. Without the ki drain adding onto the attack, it would be 1.5 x 8,000 = 12,000 + 1,000 = 13,000. If the same level of person had this: Power Level: 8000 Ki: 4000 Strength: 1,500 Speed: 2,000 Stamina: 500 Toughness: 1,000 Vitality: 1,000 then their attack would do this with my method: 10% of 500 x 10 = 500. 1.5 x 8,000 = 12,000 + 500 = 12,500 Now lets one-up that. Lets say someone didn't only equally raise stamina, but its HIGHER than most. Power Level: 8,000 Ki: 4,000 Strength: 1000 Speed: 1000 Stamina: 1500 Toughness: 1,000 Vitality: 500 10% of 1,500 x 10 = 1,500. 1.5 x 8,000 = 12,000 + 1,500 = 13,500 It won't make a huge difference, but the larger the ki drain and the higher the difference in the staminas, you can clearly see there will be a bigger Power Level difference. The one who barely raised stamina only got 1/3 the bonus to Power Level in the attack as the one who raised it above the rest! This would give a whole new level of depth to characters. Normally you make your guy for one of three things: Strong Fighter Fast Fighter Ki User This would actually let there BE ki users. As it is now, the only way to raise the power of your ki attacks is to level up one of the stats that boosts Power Level, which means every tom dick and harry who doesn't use speed as their primary stat is becoming a ki god as well, even if they're not made to be one. But if you added my method on - or anything other than the current system, really, it would be much harder to create a "multitasking" character for lack of a better word. |

I would be all for it, but I think the more stat-based calculations that are added onto battles the more it detracts from actual Roleplaying. But that's just me. |
