Now this is just a simple suggestion, but does anyone else feel that 'everyone' and their mom has a sword these days. I am not against weapon specials, but it feels almost impossible to be a non-sword user and be effective during battle. With moves like 'healing blade' or 'verberation' and 'Aura blade,' it would be insane not to wield a sword. I guess this isn't a real problem, but considering an anime that had very 'FEW' sword wielders - we have alot of them. Everyone in the top 10, wields a sword. For a suggestion, maybe make an alternate for non-sword wielders. Some players like myself don't want to follow the typical sword path and maybe there should be some benifits for those of us that don't. Maybe, this is just a selfish notion, but just a thought. |

I don't have a problem with having a weapon, it's just that a sword is the only real effective weapon. Thus, EVERYBODY has one. |

I think I already made a thread in a similar vein as this some time ago. You just have to be tactical against a sword user if you don't want to use swords. I have a few ways of getting around sword users if I decide not to use my own. But I ain't divulgin' my secrets

I agree with Bobo. Spiked knuckles/hammers(mauls) and staves seem likely choices |

It's not that realistic that, considering we just had a saga that revolved around space battles, people are still running around using swords(or the fact that so many warriors have a sword). So yeah, more weapons would be nice. Espicially things for physical attacks. If need be, I'm sure making more weapon techniques wouldn't be hard. |

Instead of new weapons, perhaps there should be specials with you kicks and punches as well. Perhaps when a weapon is equipped you are not allowed to use such tactics. That is simply just a suggestion, however. Level 1: Iron Fist The user gathers power from the energy around him to cause his forearms to become inpentrable for 3 physical actions done to him. Level 2: Chakra The user pulls from the life of the planet to heal himself or others for 20% Level 3: Sonic Somersault The user jumps into the air flipping backwards sending a blast outwards in a wave type formation that is able to cut limbs. Level 4: Demon/Angel Fist (alignment accordingly) User pulls from their own soul to release a destructive invisible wave of power that is propelled at their enemy. Just simple suggestions. They of course would be learned like sword techs. |

Well variety would be nice, but on another thought. I wouldn't mind being like the typical 95% dbz fighters that never ever used any weapons. They all usually only used fists and Ki energy. Possibly maybe a non-weapon and weapon wielder status. Both would require the same ways to learn techniques(No master train, only self train for a week or two = learn technique.) Pros of Non-wielding: Do not have to waste a prepared item, or slot for a weapon. Gets abilities that are similar to Heal, verberation, inferno sabre, aura blade) Cons: Do not get the sword special techniques like (Tres Flores, Tripple Strike, Luciender Light assualt, Sword Grappling). Using a weapon hurts more compared to regular fists. Edit Note: In this case, it would help encourage players to NOT have to wield a sword. Right now, if you want to fight competitively = You HAVE to wield a sword. |

A move like Iron fist would help dramatically against swords in my opinion. |

I think we should actually make there be a penalty for using a sword, since right now there's no reason NOT to use one. Maybe we should make them lose speed or extra stamina (and therefore ki-using power) for having to wield a hefty weapon. Or better yet; make it so that swords (excluding things like the Z-Sword obviously) can break when used in battle too much, or when used to block excessively powerful ki attacks? (EX. Using Verberation Blade against someone who has a much higher Power Level still blocks the attack, but shatters the sword) |

Actually, very good job Bebi! Those are the type of techniques I'm talking about. This is the direction I'm wanting to go as dbz very rarely used weapons. |

Well you can actually attempt to disarm someone using a sword, which I beleive they would have to use an action to re-equip it. Plus, the ONLY con for using a sword is that it takes up a slot, but then again, it can be used as a prepared item, so that cancelled the ONLY con out... |

Possibly get Yamcha and Tasuda Interested. In turn, Razak is looking for things to add for the upcoming patch. Possibly this could be implemented. |

If you guys want I can type up a full list so that we can more to show Razak so that he may lean more to our idea especially since the patch is coming up. It would be easier to implememnt that way for him. |

That would be awesome actually. Food for thought, the two should go parallel, but not hand in hand. As in Weilder vs non wielder = this way, someone can't just drop their sword and then start using non-weapon attacks. Either someone has to choose the type of style for wiki permanently or before battle. I prefer the first of the two. |

Actually i figured on it not just being chosen, because you can't just forbid someone form either. Instead just have it to where...maybe it burns up a weapon tech slot. You can only use weapon techs a certain amount of times. These techs should go under weapon techs. MEANING if you use a lvl 1 punch/sword tech then it burns up that lvl punch/sword slot. |

Ooh, well that sounds better to me. A limit on to how many weapon/non techs can be used during battle. Good points. |

Haven't read through the thread, but logically swinging a sword more than once is ALOT harder then punching more than once. So even though it doesn't say, sword attacks should come much slower. Edit: Sanara, go you. Bojack, not so much. Sanara, another go you as your post looks like my post with more stats in such. Broken swords, not so much go you. You don't want to make them downright useless either. I say have decrease speed by a % and increase str by a % for each sword rather than damage levels and all that jazz. Arm Blasters, I'm the only one to use one I think...make it more effective. Like an upgrade to it or something? Power Pole, upgrade that too. Have maybe half the strength boost from a sword without the speed penalty. Axe, double speed penalty, double strength boost. |

If you are strong, you can swing the thing pretty fast. I have like...13K or something of strength so I'm pretty sure I can swing the Last Judgment pretty fast, despite its size. But you just gotta use your head. It's about strategy. Besides, the people who use swords had to sacrifice master training to learn their techs. I know it isn't too big of a deal, but it is something considering the different bonuses and such for training with masters. |

So there's my point exactly. So now ALL of us have to wield a sword when only like 1-3 guys in DBZ actually wielded one. |
