I was wondering if I figured it out right this way; I can do; 2 quests a week 2 personal saga's 50 personal roleplays That is the maximum I can do in a single week, if I read it right. Can something help me with this? PS: is it possible to do one 1900 word post instead of 6 300 word posts? Cause I hate writing short story's, it means ending in the middle of something all the time. PS 2: can you do a quest more then once or will you eventually run out of quests to do? |

Right except that you can only do one personal saga per week, not two. |

all right. cool. And I already learned you can do a quest only one time. Leaves my final question; would it be allowed to make a 1800 word post instead of 6x300 word posts in an easy quest for example? Making short posts is easier as you can keep beginning a new, but I believe they drag down the speed of the story and are usually of less quality then one long story. I am fine either way, but I just wanted to know before I make some mistakes. ![]() EDIT: I just wanted to thank all of you for your imput. It allowed me to get up to speed so quickly and accepted at such unbelievably high speed. Thank you. I'll promise to do my utmost not to let you down. |

Nah dawg. It gotta be six posts. You can type up a 1800 rp on word and just split it up into 300 words and post them. |

I think he actually has a point. I mean, to make 300 word posts we generally have to cut off in the middle of a part of the story. Particularly in fight scenes it can be difficult to reach a satisfactory post ending without going well over the 300 word count, and going too much over often feels like a waste. I think that rather than POST limit, we should have all quests have a WORD limit. That's really all it is now; and I do believe it would make them much better in flow and pacing. Easy Quest: 1800 Words Medium Quest: 3600 Words Hard Quest: 5100 Words Very Hard Quest: 6600 Words (Those are the equivalent to the "maximum rewards" # of posts required for each difficulty) |

having huge posts does make it hard to read though. Its not as if you have to finish bang on 300 words, just cut up the story where you see fit. |

I vote for the word limit. If you have the word limit, it's not like you can't post your RP in sections. Some people prefer to RP in sections, others in one big flowing story. =] |

I don't know about you but I wouldn't even try to read through a 1800 word posts without breaks unless I'm high. Like Geist said, just cut up the story, and it doesn't really matter if it goes above 300 words, when I do my quests(which I type up spontaneously cuz I'm ill like dat) some posts are over 300 and some are barely past it, so just you break it up however you want, but reading one post that is 3,000+ words is out of the question. Cuz my man Razak actually reads the quests you submit so I doubt he would want to read one posts filled with all of that.) |

I read them too when I do the RP bonuses, and my eyes get hurt when I have to read massive posts in a quest or Personal Saga. v.v |

It's not the quantity of the words, it's the quality that you should focus on. Especially for personal roleplays and battles. |

At least if you get lost in writing them you can say "hey I stopped in post #3" but just one big one thats like reading a book on one long page.. Nah |

wow odd, but very coincidence. Let's have fun here as well tatsuya. And to be honest I prefer one big story instead of several longer ones because of the easyness to read. True you have to be dedicated, but once you start reading you are sucked in the story and don't stop. The problem with several posts is that at some point I find myself bored with having to start reading over and over again. But as they say; to each their own, right?

The first reason why this is a bad idea is because unless you specifically post that it is closed, anybody can jump into your thread at any time. If you just made one post, they couldn't. This discourages RPing with others and we try to encourage that. The second reason why it's a bad idea is that it is like a novel without chapters. Can you imagine reading a 400 page chapter in a book? It would just be stupid. Stories need to have breaks in them for people to actually have fun reading them. |

Can you imagine reading a 3,300 word page of a chapter in Twilight? Not only will your brain cells slowly die but your eyes will bleed too. That would be a brutal death so the author separated it so we won't die as fast. |

Well I see your point and I think you are right om your own way. I just prefer the longer version as that is what I learned when I first started playing nine years ago. It is not so much that I dislike shorter posts, I just have to learn a new style. Which seems pretty exciting to me. Btw, am I now aproved or not? It seems I am a forum member, my name changed, I got put in the roster and the wiki ajusted. But I didn't get the invitation to join the wiki so I can ajust it. Where does that leave me? Can I start writing and doing quests? As I am currently working on two and they are nearing completion. |

i would prefer one-page, 3300 chapters. That's why I usually read books online, even when I could get them at the library. |
