Dende had got a break from his training at last. He was going to rest all day. He had his day scheduled out. He would swim and fish the whole day. It was going to be awesome. Dende had decided to leave for Mt. Keman when he heard a voice inside his head.

“Are you telling me that you want to skip a day’s training for swimming and fishing? I won’t let you do that. First, you have to defeat me,” said his inner demon. Dende had managed to maintain friendly relations with his inner demon and had managed to inculcate some values in him. Dende said to his inner demon in his mind, “All right, but if I defeat you, you will let me go to enjoy this day.”

“I agree,” said the voice in his mind.

Dende slipped into nothingness until he dropped into a chamber decorated by fire. Dende was admiring the room when he felt a sharp pain in his head. He had been hit in his back by the evil Dende. The evil Dende then flew high out of the chamber to seize control of the body. Dende followed him and they reached the top at the same time. The result was that his inner demon split apart from him.

“That’s not fair,” said Dende.

“It is never unfair,” said the evil Dende and flew away. Dende tried following him but the evil Dende double-crossed him. Dende was searching for this evil Dende and went to a nearby village. All of the Nameks were there. The village was on fire and all the Namekians were yelling slogans and flying towards him. It was 20 versus 1 battle for Dende. However, Dende was more powerful than all of the Nameks and managed to dodge them easily. He yelled at them, “Why are you attacking me?”

“You destroy the village and ask why we are attacking you!” said a Namek. Dende managed to knock them all down until a messenger arrived telling that Dende is attacking a village.

“See! I am not the one doing it. Maybe.., maybe it is my inner demon,” said Dende and power flew all the way to the next village.

The scenario was the same. The evil Dende had managed to destroy the village and escaped. Dende was faced with resistance from the village Nameks. Dende tried to explain to them, but they were not at all willing to listen to him. Dende was furious with himself. He thought he would gain no good by staying here. He must track his inner demon. Dende ignored all of the Nameks down and tried to escape but all of the Nameks started to follow him. Even Nameks from the previous village had come to him to attack him. Dende was now facing a force of fifty Nameks. They were intent on killing him. Dende decided that he had to escape. Dende power flew away with the Nameks on his trail. Soon he saw his inner demon wreaking havoc upon a nearby village. Dende fired a Mesposo at him which missed him and hit a Namek on his arm. The evil Dende escaped again and this time the Nameks were sure that Dende was lying and he was trying to seize control of Namek. Dende had a hard time defending himself against all of the Nameks.

Suddenly, an idea struck Dende. He power flew so fast towards Guru’s altar that he left behind all the Nameks. Reaching there he saw Kaze. Kaze was the guard of Guru and started to attack Dende as soon as he saw him. Dende was more powerful than Kaze but Kaze was not any less.

“MASENKO,” yelled Kaze as a beam of powerful ki flew towards Dende. Dende retaliated with his own Masenko. The two beams struck each other and Guru came out calling them to stop. With an explosion the Maskenkos went out. Guru demanded an explanation from them and Kaze accused Dende of destroying villages indiscriminately.

“Is it true, Dende?” asked Guru.

“It is as good as I have done it,” said Dende, “My inner demon has escaped and is wreaking havoc upon all villages."

“Ah! Dende you must stop it before it gets out of hand or you will face exile,” said Guru and added, “I do not wish to do so, Dende but the other Nameks won’t agree.”

“Yes, Guru,” said Dende and flew away on the trail of his devastating evil while Guru tried to pacify the Nameks. Dende saw his corrupted form waiting for him.

“I am not going to leave you,” shouted Dende.

“Oh, it’s you. What are you going to do, anyways? If you kill me you’ll die yourself. It would be better if you just keep your mouth shut and do your work around, alright,” said his evil counterpart.

“I’ll die if it will kill you,” said Dende and aimed his hand at his counterpart and a blast of ki erupted from it. His form took the hit and Dende felt a sharp pain in his hand.

“Tsu no Beam,” shouted Dende as a blast of electricity shot from his antennas. His evil counterpart didn’t make any attempt to dodge it. Again Dende experienced pain, but this time in his ribs.

“You are merely killing both of us,” said the evil Dende.

“And that is what I am intending to do,” said Dende.

“Huh, I am off, see you later!” said his evil form and power flew away. Dende followed him and rained Mesposos at him but all it did was pain Dende. Dende was thinking up of some strategy. He knew that this side was a kind of mirror to him and knew one additional technique called the ‘Mirror’ technique. By its use his counterpart can stop every move Dende did by just mirroring him. But that would mean losing control for a full fifteen minutes. He can regain control in the first five minutes but after the first five minutes are over he cannot regain control for another ten minutes. Dende decided to force him to use such a technique in order to fuse him inside his body once again.

“You cannot evade me forever. Someday, I’ll kill you and myself so that Namek will stay safe. I can also easily kill myself but I intend to kill you first. I make a solemn promise that I won’t kill myself but you and die in the process,” shouted Dende who was a little distance behind his evil counterpart.

“Like hell! You don’t have the courage to do it, Dende,” said his evil counterpart.

“I do have it. MAAASENKO,” yelled Dende, raising his hands above his head and overlapping them over one another and then he threw his hands forward but still overlapping each other and white beam of ki shot out from it.

“What the…,” started the Evil Dende but added, “MASENKO!”

Both beams of ki met in the air and a furious ki battle started. Dende was pushing his Masenko towards the evil Dende but not near enough so that it could kill him.

“He is seriously trying to kill me,” thought the evil Dende and broke the ki battle.

“I won’t let you kill me, Dende, because I know all techniques you know and I know one more technique than you. MIRROR STANCE!” said the evil Dende and changed his position to exactly Dende’s.

Dende had been waiting for this. Right now he was waiting for the first five minutes to get over. He tried to appear terrified.

“Whh… What is it?” asked Dende. And at exactly the same time the evil Dende said “Whh… What is it?”

“Mesposo,” said Dende and his evil counterpart said, “Mesposo”.

Both super fast beams met in the middle. Dende ran forward and tried to punch the evil counterpart from his right hand. But the evil counterpart rushed forward and punched with his left hand and both punches met. A furious grapple began between the two Dendes. No one seemed to have any effect on the other. Dende was waiting for the five minutes to get over and he could try and recapture his lost form. Dende used Tsu no Beam and Mesposo and finally a Masenko but all of them were met by equally powerful beams of ki. Dende finally stood panting in the air and his counterpart also started to pant.

And after a few moments the five minutes were over. Dende smiled and his evil counterpart smiled. Dende said, “I am not evil. I am a part of Dende.” And his counterpart said the same. Dende wanted to check whether it worked or not.

Dende knew what to do. He moved in closer and fused with his evil form. It wouldn’t have succeeded in the first five minutes because, the other had a little control and could stop it but after five minutes he lost his control over the stance. He thought, “I am never going to let you do anything now.”

“Hey, I was just giving you some training,” said the evil Dende in his mind.

“Hurting people isn’t training someone,” said Dende.

“Well, part of it was illusion. You were not in the real Namek but in our mind. It was all illusion but even in illusion you didn’t have any control on your MIND,” said the Dende in his mind.

“I do not understand,” said Dende.

“It was all undoubtedly your fault. I was just making illusions but your body couldn’t control it and everything became real. It’s not my fault and if you had trained harder we would have never come in this situation,” said a voice in his mind.

“I am not convinced. You are telling me it never happened and it was illusion,” said Dende.

“You scrappy piece of junk, it happened because you couldn’t control your body. Your mind and body wasn’t synchronised,” said the voice in his mind.

“Just shut up and let me enjoy the day. I do not intend to visit Guru and the villages now. I don’t what they will do. I’ll just stay on Mount Keman and dive and fish,” said Dende.

“As you wish, but you had a good piece of training today,” said the voice again bumming in his mind.

“Stop it, NOW!” said Dende furiously and added, “I want you to keep quiet for now.”

“It is easy for you to say so. Don’t you see that I am lonely? It is not my fault that I am like this. You made me like this,” said the Dende in his mind.

“Alright,” said Dende and flew off to Mount Keman to enjoy the rest of the day. He dived happily in the water, caught fish and enjoyed the whole day to his satisfaction.
