Dende, our your young Namekian super hero is ignorant about the current happenings around Namek. He doesn't know that the fury of the Tri-Dragons will be unleashed. And even worse..., the Dragon of Death that has been dubbed as Immortal, Invincible and Invulnerable will be released upon Namek once again. It is up to Dende to figure out how to save Namek from this new-found chaos.

Chapter 1: Not a Moment of Rest

Part 1: The Trainer

Dende, as always, was amid a tight schedule. Dende was at the Elder's House where Guru had been staying for decades. Dende was at the small training camp around the Elder's House that was circular in shape protected by ki walls that would allow no one but people whom Guru trusted. It was however possible for a powerful being to break the ki wall and enter but no one dared to do so because they would rather prefer to kill themselves than face a horde of Namekians and Guru's students.

Dende was currently partner training with Ham. Ham was a mediocre Namek. Dende was merely assisting Ham. Ham started the spar with two quick jabs to Dende's chest followed by a flip kick. Dende pulled his hands in an 'X' fashion and blocked the first two jabs from Ham. He dodged the flip kick by backing away his chest. Ham did not lose hope and threw four beam balls at Dende. Dende merely blocked them and held out his palm. A Mesposo shot out from it that hit Ham straight on his chest. Dende immediately power flew at Ham and launched a power punch on his face. Ham staggered behind and then Dende attempted to initiate a grapple. Ham accepted the grapple and took the initiative by launching five consecutive blast punches. Dende easily dodged them and sent four quick punches followed by four quick kicks. Dende repeated it again. All his attacks hit and Ham jumped back and pulled his hands over his head, one palm over another. Dende understood immediately that Ham was trying to use the Masenko. Dende's eyes narrowed for he knew that Ham had not learnt the move yet. Dende speed teleported behind Ham and grabbed his hands. Dende then spun him around and threw him on the ground.

Ham stood up and admitted his loss with a grin. Dende told him, "You need to improve yourself, Ham and trying to use Masenko when you haven't even learned it was not a good idea. It could easily go horrible and could have injured you. Anyways, I have got to go. For now, when I return I want you to work on your speed a little."

Ham who was about three-quarters of Dende's size grinned and replied, "All right, Dende. Guru will be most happy with you when I defeat the others. Nail and Piccolo's partners do not seem to be any good."

"Don't talk about others right now. It is not a good habit. Guru must see that you are improving," said Dende sharply.

Chapter 1: Not a Moment of Rest

Part 2: The Defender

Dende power flew to the Namekian Job Handler. Here he went to the counter and put a slip on the table that was taken by the person at the desk. He replied, "No. 192, all details will be provided on the slip in the next counter."

Dende moved to the next counter and slip was thrust out. Dende viewed it:

Quote:

Code: 192
Job: Body Guard
Location: En route: Vercier to Tragedore
Aim: Ensure that the carriage from Vercier reaches Tragedore safely.

Dende knew where Vercier was. It was exactly north-west of his current position. Dende immediately power flew to Vercier where he saw a building built by the humans. Dende landed near the building while a hovercraft double the size of an average human car was ejected. The hovercraft started to accelerate and Dende was on its tail. The hovercraft was not very fast and Dende pursued it easily. It was moving over the Namekian waters. Dende flew above the hovercraft to make sure that it wasn't attacked. Dende did not know that the hovercraft possessed bonds that were being taken to Tragedore to be transported to Avalon. The bonds were worth millions of zeni. However, a few people did know this and were waiting to intercept the flight.

No sooner had Dende reached mid-way a group of small alien ships pursued the hovercraft firing energy blasts. Dende came in between these blasts and fired Mesposos. These alien ships were not very powerful and sunk into the waters after being hit by weak ki attacks. Dende however kept on alert for the rest of the journey. Suddenly, Dende saw a vessel almost thrice the size of the hovercraft following it. Dende sent a Mesposo which was deflected by an automatic shield system. It fired a laser at Dende. Dende dodged it luckily. Dende was sure that if that laser had hit him, it would have almost killed him. Dende put his hands above his head with one palm over another and charged a Masenko. Dende gradually brought it down and the beam of ki struck the vessel with such a force that it crashed in the fields. At least a dozen aliens came out from it. The aliens were armed with arm blasters and followed Dende releasing energy blasts. Dende hit all of them with his Mesposos which made them flee.

Dende finished the rest of the journey without any harm. Dende reached Tragedore and went to the Receiving End and handed his slip. He got the reply, "Please show this slip tomorrow at the job handler to acquire job rewards."

The slip said as follows:

Quote:

Grade: Z Class
Encryption 2j5bf0n5i+++

Dende flew out of Tragedore thinking, "Shouldn't they tell the grades of jobs in advance. I thought it was just another boring trip."

Part 3: The Messenger

Dende power flew back to the training camp to make sure that Ham was working hard. Dende flew past the ki wall and he saw Kizu waving to him. Dende flew to the Elder's House and inquired, "What is the matter, Kizu?"

"Dende, Guru wants you to send a message to the West Elder," informed Kizu.

"Of course, Kizu, I will. I just need the message," replied Dende.

Kizu shoved a scroll in Dende's hands and said, "Here, do not open it because you won't be able to. If you will try, the scroll will burn to ashes. And be careful. This is very important. Many people are hidden around the Training Camp. They must not see you going in the west direction or they may follow you."

"Alright, I get it," replied Dende and power flew in the north direction hoping to turn south-west later. But little did Dende know that someone with powerful binoculars had been watching Kizu giving Dende the scroll. Dende was being followed. Dende had now turned to fly south-east when he saw a Namek speed teleporting in front of him. The Namek grinned and said, "If you want to get out alive give me that scroll."

"Never," said Dende and launched a power punch on the face of the Namek. The Namek blocked it.

"Kid, don't mess with me. I am part-android. You cannot match my strength," said the Namek but Dende ignored his voice.

Dende launched one after another special attacks which the cyborg Namek blocked deftly. The cyborg Namek's grin changed into a frown as he battled Dende. Dende's hits were breaking the Cyborg's parts. The Cyborg was infuriated and launched his array of attacks which Dende easily dodged before punching the Cyborg in its face. The Cyborg moaned and flew back. It yelled, "HELL FLASH!" A blast of ki erupted from his shoulders as two cannons came into view. Dende flew back and put his hands above his head and yelled, "MASENKO!"

The ki blasts met in the air and started a ki battle. The strength and speed of the Cyborg had doubled. But still Dende managed to push his blast forward because the Masenko was naturally stronger than the Hell Flash. The Masenko pushed the Hell Flash behind and ultimately overwhelmed the Hell Flash by grievously injuring the evil cyborg.

Dende landed beside the Namek and saw that the mechanical parts had broken down. The chest and the head were of the Namek's own but his rest of the body was made from machinery. Sparks erupted every second from the artificial parts of the Namek while the Namek was trying to speak something. The Namek's hands were trying to reach his belt. Dende moved a little to see what the Namek was trying to do and saw that there was a button on the belt which had a sign of a skull and two bones in an 'X' fashion. The arm detached itself and moved closer. Dende was horrified because he instantly recognized it as the 'Self-Destruct' button. Dende immediately used all of his resources. He speed teleported using power fly and managed to escape the powerful explosion that had followed.

Dende left the Namek to his own fate and flew off. Dende soon reached the West Elder's house and bowed in front of the open door. The West Elder came outside and said, "Ah! So you have come, Dende. Thank you for the scroll. Do you know Dende, many are after this scroll. And do you also know why? It is because of the powers possessed by it that can only be deciphered by an Elder Namek. This scroll was needed for restoring the power of our ancestral being."

Dende was about to ask what this ancestral being was but the West Elder perceived Dende's desire and replied, "No, Dende, do not ask. It is a secret of which only the Elders know. Now you may go."

Dende hadn't an opportunity to speak at the West Elder's house and sped off to his next chore which was his own training.

Chapter 2: The Voice of the Skies

Part 1: Training

Dende returned to his little home and started his training. Dende punched and kicked at the nearby cliff with all his might and speed. Dende continued this exercise for nearly fifteen minutes and then turned to running as fast as he could around the island. The island was small and after Dende had run about hundred rounds, he stopped. He then pulled out a nearby cliff and threw it high in the air and rained a few Mesposos at it. It broke into nearly seven rocks and all of them hit Dende.

"Ouch! It hurts. I don't know why Guru suggests this exercise," thought Dende. Dende now moved on to ki practice. He pulled out his palm and aimed it at a tree far away from the island. Dende fired three shots one after another from his palm. These super fast beams hit the tree. If one would join these three points then one would find a straight line. Dende then used his Tsu no Beam. A blast of electricity shot out from his antennas which missed the target. Tsu no Beams were not easy to aim and would often miss their targets. They were difficult to handle and Dende had learnt it recently. Dende tried again and again until he had hit the tree seven times in a row. Dende then pulled out a little bean and chewed it. Dende suddenly fell unconscious and he was at a place completely black. There seemed to be no end of the place at all. And all of a sudden another person just like Dende appeared.

Both Dendes closed in for a battle and started a grapple. The first Dende aimed two quick punches which were met by two quick kicks from the other Dende. The first Dende made a dummy while the other blocked it with a feint. The first Dende sent a punch from his left hand which was caught by the right hand of the other Namek. Dende jumped back and put his sent out a Mesposo. The other Dende too jumped behind and met it with a Tsu no Beam. Dende sent a Tsu no Beam which the other Dende dodged. Both the Dendes raised their hands above their heads and started a ki battle between the two Masenkos.

Dende was suddenly brought back to the real existence. "Excellent, the effect wore off at the right time," snapped Dende.

"It has been quite a time. I must go and check the progress of Ham. I hope he is practising hard," thought Dende and power flew back to the training camp through the ki walls.

Chapter 2: The Voice of the Skies

Part 2: The Sad News

Dende saw Kizu waving out him from the Elder's House. "What is it now?"" thought Dende and flew to Kizu and asked, "What is it, Kizu?"

"Bad news, Dende. Somehow, someone got to know that the scroll was at the West Elder's home and they have sneaked the scroll from the West Elder. We just got the message. This wasn't any ordinary scroll. Come inside, Guru wants to meet you," said Kizu.

Dende nodded and entered the Elder's House. Guru immediately said, "Welcome, Dende. You might have heard from Kizu that the powerful scroll has been stolen. I would like to tell you something about it. The scroll wasn't an ordinary scroll. If translated correctly it could be used to release the Tri-Dragons upon Namek. The Tri-Dragons are: Rife, the Dragon of Fire, Zeref, the Dragon of Ice and Khosc, the Dragon of Thunder. And above all, the Dragon of Death, Vedas will be unleashed upon Namek. They had been captured by the legendary Super Namek, Keman. He had made a mechanism to capture these dragons in case they escape again. There is a cave in the northernmost point of Namek. Here you will have to investigate the runes and find the correct way of sealing these dragons again."

"But how am I going to do it, Guru," asked Dende.

"This book will help you to decipher the runes," said Guru handing a large embossed book and added, "You will not be alone, Dende. Your companion will be Kizu. He will embark on this dangerous quest along with you."

"Yes, Guru. I will do all I can to protect Namek from the wrath of these dragons for they pose a great threat to the peace of Namek," replied Dende.

"A last word, Dende and you too Kizu, I grant you both the ability to sense the scroll so that you may follow it. I want you to recover the scroll before any further damage. Remember the three dragons are very powerful. And the Dragon of Death, Vedas is immortal, invincible and invulnerable. The strength possessed by these dragons cannot be counted. If these dragons are released upon Namek, no one can stop them. The only way to stop them is a secret and this secret lies in the cave at the North Pole of Namek. This cave is protected by all sorts of mechanisms and enchantments. Look for signs on the walls and try to decipher them by the medium of this book," told Guru.

Dende and Kizu paid their regards and left the Elder's House going to the North Pole. "Looks like Namek doesn't need anything else. With evils like King Cold and Videl lurking in planet how can we expect for some peace," said Kizu as they flew out of the ki wall.

"What can we do?" said Dende who was following Kizu.

Together, they flew out to the North Pole for there they sensed the scroll. Apparently, the person with scroll was also moving towards the North Pole.

Chapter 2: The Voice of the Skies

Part 3: The Awakening

Dende and Kizu, gifted by the ability to follow the persona intent on bringing the Tri-Dragons to life and to destroy the planet, flew towards the North Pole. The person they were following had reached the North Pole and had stopped. They were not quite far from the North Pole and increased their speed. Dende said to Kizu, “They have reached the North Pole.” “I know, ” Kizu replied.

Dende and Kizu had finally approached the North Pole. They looked around and saw another Cyborg Namek standing guard over the entrance of a cave. Dende and Kizu approached him. Kizu was about to threaten the Cyborg Namek when the hybrid unleashed a gas at them.

“Yes! Now your power will weaken and you will be no match for me, ” said the hybrid while unleashing an array of quick attacks. Kizu told Dende, “Do not worry, Dende. The effects are short lasting. This is the extract of the Krozekn flower. It will strengthen us later for a good spell of time. ”

“Why do you worry, Kizu? Even though your amplified power will be unrivalled it is still no match for the Tri-Dragons. Your power levels will be a little over 1 million. The Tri-Dragons are stronger, ” told the hybrid while punching Kizu sideways.

“1 million, goodness, even King Cold and Videl won’t stand a chance against me, ” gasped Dende but was instantly smashed on the skull; “Enough of this, you traitor. MASENKO!! ”
Kizu imitated Dende and yelled, “MASENKO!! ”

Both the Nameks raised their hands above their heads, one palm over the other and then brought it down. Powerful beams of ki erupted from their palms which were on a collision course with the hybrid. They hybrid was hit by the beams but they were not enough, thanks to the extract from the so called Krozekn flower.

“Why do you think you can match me?” asked the hybrid interestingly; “Your power levels are no more than 500. ”

Dende and Kizu were being pushed backwards in every field. The hybrid was a challenge they could not confront.

But just then, they heard a deep voice from nowhere, “BEWARE YOURSELF NOW, MORTALS. I LIVE AGAIN. I WILL UNLEASH DESTRUCTION UPON THE PLANET AS I PROMISED. ”

The voice was so loud that it was heard all over the Namek. The voice rumbled the entire crust of Namek. And then, they saw the hybrid in front of them fall down. And from inside emerged a severely wrinkled and old Namek with a stick in his hand which had unleashed the blast that had killed the hybrid.

“Fool, yes fool, you were a fool, a greedy hybrid. He wanted zeni for doing a holy and pious task which my ancestors did not manage to do. Death was reserved for you since you joined me, ” muttered the Namek.

Kizu used his presence of mind and speed teleported behind the Namek and grabbed the powerful artifact from the Namek and kicked him into water. Dende and Kizu exchanged dark looks. Finally, the Dragon of Death and his minions had been unleashed.
