Episode 1: Bedside

Jaurenlo was resting from his obviously arduous Journey. He had never done anything of that nature before. The little thing she had done as a kid, his little adventures, seemed to pale in comparison. If the Nameless Namek was able to show him that all in a month, he wondered what could have been in store for him when his real adventure arrived.

Oh, this pilgrimage should be rather interesting.

All of this made him simply think about simpler days, where it was pretty obvious the water was going to be on the table, and the game wasn’t going to involved the life or death of himself or others. As a matter of fact it made him think about his first mission as a kid in his home village.

Inside Jaurenlo’s Past:

"Jaurenlo, it is time for you to do something."

Jaurenlo tilted his head, he simply wondered what his big brother could mean after simply asking him to study most of the time.

“Jaurenlo, I need you to find out why the leaves in this revine are slowly turning from their natural pink, to a dead, cold white. We cannot use them to cultivate the soil, nor can we use them to reproduce. They are simply useless to our cause.”
Jaurenlo does a quick nod.

“We would ask one of the older brothers to do this, however, we feel that it would be best if we made you do this for some experience. You cannot simply have your head in the books all of your life, life is for the living, and this will be an easy way for you to experience a little bit of it.”

The Big Brother simply pulls out a map and points to a little cut about 3 miles outside of the village.

“You need to go there and handle this for us, there may be a little Zeni in it for you as well.”

Episode 2: Down The River

Jaurenlo began his mission simply. If he was going to go down here and figure out what was going on, he would need some tools from the shed in the back of the village. He figured he would go ahead and buy them anyway. He took some of the loose zeni in his pocket and decided to buy instead of rent. He never knew when he would need these again.

Smirking, he then began his trek down the river to the spot. There was a little bit of anticipation, because who knew just what he would find. Could it be a small army waging warfare? Would he need to get Rethu involved? Would this all be for nothing, and there would simply be a little bit of a blockage ahead of him so he really couldn’t do anything.

He sighs; he has no idea why he let his mind wander like that. It was a childish thing; he would need to be more reserved when he was younger. No need to be a blabber mouth, no one liked a blabber mouth. Either way, it would make his trip down the river seem like a short one. He got to about a quarter mile down from where the spot was marked at. He figured it would be wise for him to at least do a little recon. Who knew what could be hiding within that river, and who knew who could have been hiding as well.

It was one thing to go into the situation stupid, but he wouldn’t ever want to be sent into a situation ignorant. It was a part of his training with his big brother. No need for him to just jump headfirst into things, that was more of a sayian trait than anything. He needed to be passive, tactical. It was a trait that helped him through the years ahead, even if it didn’t do so much these days.

Episode 3:Research

He sits down and begins his waiting process. From there he lies down and pulls out his binoculars, set out his canteen of water, and laid his tools out. It would be a short pinch to grab his stuff and get away if he needed to, but hopefully it wouldn’t even come down to that. He wasn’t quite a warrior yet, and fighting wasn’t quite his forte.

After a few hours he notices the body of water around him change. It turned a peculiar blue. Like most things, the water on Namek. He believed that it was something like the water on a planet called…Earth. It was something different…heh, blue water, that’s insane.

As laughable as blue water seemed to him, he needed to find out just where it was coming from, and be able to stop it. Hopefully it would be some sort of Nameks who simply didn’t know any better. Maybe it was some…Hu-mans…if that’s what they are called. They are an interesting race, from what he read. They had the ability to be powerful, and at the same time weak minded.

It could be the Saiyans, or their half breed between the two races. It was weird the way they are two races, who look alike, who live half way across the galaxy. It is even known that they make children together. Heh…very odd.

Well, whatever the case, he still needed to make it down to see just what they have set up. He began to walk down the river. He still needed to make his way to the point on the map. The scouting was done.

Just what am I about to see.

He makes it down and sees the blue water, and he still cannot identify the source. Whatever it is, it is fairly well hidden. He hoped that didn’t mean that their means were evil.

Episode 4: Discovery

It was the third sun. This day was getting late. He had to be able to get this done and report back to his big brother. There was no need to dawdle anymore. He continued his search. There was still no outlet for the blue water.

After a 30 minute search, he began to see just where the water was being forded. Aha. If he could simply stop this from happening, his mission would be a success.
He saw two nameks in the distance. Nameks…his brothers… could they be responsible for this? They looked to be dressed from a different village. Perhaps this is all one big accident. He decided that he should listen in, and get just an idea of what is happening. It would be better than just charging in there and demanding they stop.

“ Hey, this is almost done.”

“It seems like you are right…”

What were they talking about.

“The humans were right. It seems like they are changing the color of the flowers. Now they will reproduce faster.”

“Yeah. They said just do it for 15 minutes a day.”

Why were they listening to humans for?

“Perhaps then we can heal the people in our village. They said this will create the medicine to fix the ailment. It is amazing that this happened now. We just got our first crop in”

This had to end. They didn’t know this was ailing the village down the river, nor did they know the effects of the blue water. He didn’t know just what the humans had in store, but her knew he had to go ahead and stop this from coming into fruition.

“ Hey…Stop!”

The two nameks looked in Jaurenlo’s direction.

“Do you have any idea what you are doing? The river, it leads to my village. It is killing our plants there”

The Nameks looked surprised. This was good, at least Jaurenlo didn’t have to worry about them being evil or attacking him for explaining his actions.

“It seems like you have been lied to. It looks like they are trying to inject a little of their planet into ours. If you stop, then we can fix the problem, at least somehow. For now though, let’s just turn off the pump they gave you.

The Nameks look surprised, but they looked within the young child’s eyes and saw he was telling the truth. Before the terrible incident that slapped Jaurenlo’s life, it was obvious that he was a very good public speaker. It may have been the reason he had been selected for the journey he had been chosen to go on.

“Let’s go cut it off now.”

The Nameks lead the young boy to the pump. They were told to hide it well, and they did so without hesitation. Apparently the ones that gave it to them fed them a story about people trying to stop them. If it wasn’t for Jaurenlo being a Namek, and someone who looked to be so well disciplined and honest, it was obvious that they could have been a fight.

As soon as it was over, the two Nameks, dismantled the machine. Slowly, but surely the water started turning back. After a few hours, it is obvious that the rest of the water was going to turn back with no problem. He smirked and told them farewell. He had hoped he would run into the humans who did it, but it was obvious that the Nameks would take care of it.

Now it is time to go back and claim his reward.

Episode 5: Back to the Future

He walked back towards the village. It was time for him to get his Zeni, and get debriefed by his Big Brother. It was an interesting story, to say the least, and he was sure that people would want to hear it.

The walk back seemed much longer than the walk towards it. No more things to imagine, just the want to make it back to his bed that day. He realized he got the tools for no reason, he would have to return them before he went to sleep tonight.
It seemed funny though, why were the Humans doing such a thing. Perhaps he would get a reason down the line in his life.

He made it back to the village eventually and explained the story to his big brother. After a laugh, he sent Jaurenlo back to his training. He would deal with the humans, once he gets more information. It would be a job for Kizu.

After his debrief, he relaxed and got his Zeni. He stashed it and got back to his reading. Besides, it was getting boring just talking, there was much too much to learn, and the time to learn it, unbeknownst to him at the time, was getting shorter.

Back to the Present:

Jaurenlo rolled over. His muscles still hurt. It was those small memories like that, the ones that gave him some chuckles, that allowed him to get through the trials he just faced. For now, he just needed to get more sleep. Yes… sleep.
