A chuckle came from a soft toned voice not far from the village that had just been terrorized by the prisoner that had escaped. In the same instant it had also been saved by a strange newcomer that neither the villagers or the prisoner knew about. It was strange not only to them, but also the two new strangers that had watched the whole thing from a distance.

“Well…this won’t make Kiwi very happy…” The voice of the first alien said with a snicker following it.

The alien who had spoke floated there. He was short compared to his massive comrade that floated next to him. He was also much smoother in detail as his rough and barbaric partner was. His hair was long, blonde and braided into a ponytail that typically rested gently over his shoulder. The dimple that delicately punctured his cheek was another feature that just labeled him a lady’s man if anything. He was far from that, however.

The alien’s name was Nana and he was truly defined as a warrior. He belonged to a group of mercenaries now that served whichever leader they were being paid by at the moment. For the price of money he had committed acts that would send the king of demons to temple. A devil of a warrior who had been spawned from the ranks of even Lord Frost’s armies. He was truly misguiding in features and it was a mistake that so many before had made.

The larger alien next to him nodded with a grin of his own. This ones name was simple Bana, and had used to be known as Bana the Butcher when he served with same unit that Nana had under Lord Frost. He had gained the reputation from his notable actions against any opposing enemy, and friendly, forces. After leaving with Nana he retained his reputation, but not his rank. If anything his reputation had grown even more throughout the years while serving with Nana as a mercenary.

The two of them on that particular day had been sent to that planet for a job. It wasn’t just some spare of the moment idea that had brought them there. Money was the only reason they would have ever decided to even set foot on the planet. There was nothing else known to them that held any worth there. Their mission, however, was then condemned a complete failure when the Namekian prisoner missed the opportunity of freedom.

“Since you are incapable of talking I guess I will have to call the short moron.” Nana said with a sense of irritation about him which had the larger Bana looking upset slightly.

Before Nana could even reach up with his finger to open a transmission on the device that was snuggled tightly on his right ear a voice came through.

“Where are you two at? Do you have him yet? I want to get off this swamp of a planet.” The voice said.

“Um…no. Mission is a failure…” Nana said softly while still watching the strange Namekian new comer leaving the scene.

A white-gloved fist slammed down on the console of a Saiyan Space Pod that rested half way in muddy water. The alien who had done the pounding slid his fist off the cold metallic siding. He shook his head at the waste of time they had made. The Namekian wasn’t important to his two employees, but the Namekian was important to him. It was more about money for him. The Namekian had worked for Kiwi before until he was bum rushed some time ago. He was supposed to be there for something that the alien wanted…

“Well get ready boys. Our stay here has just gotten longer. First dispatch whoever just stomped out our only lead.” Kiwi said as he cut the transmission from the two of them.

The alien turned from his space ship. He looked out over the march skimming through every fine detail. He was looking for something at that moment and really hated that his job had just gotten harder with the loss of the prisoner. It still all had to be done, though, and he wasn’t quite one known for failures. He was Kiwi, after all, and his reputation as being notorious wasn’t far from that of his two partners.

Kiwi was different, however, from them as far as background went, though. He was born a slave under the Saiyans. From birth he was forced into labor in the dark mines of planet Vegeta to fuel the war machine of a race. After seeing his obvious strength on dominant attitude amongst the other ones that he was being surrounded with he was thrown into the ranks as a soldier. Their intention for him, though, was to be merely meat for the first attacks. It was in one of those battles that the slave who became a warrior caught his break.

It was on the planet of Arlia where Kiwi found his freedom. He was sent there, along with his own unit, lead by a Saiyan. They were there to settle a dispute with the native population there. Within the chaos, Kiwi lashed out slaying his Saiyan owner and even some of the other alien slave warriors. From there he escaped the planet and found himself on the run. If found in the Saiyan Kingdom he would’ve been killed on sight due to his markings which labeled him a slave.

Kiwi found his refuge in the other planets that scattered the universe, though. His previous lifestyle left him with the tools needed to finding work in black areas. It wasn’t long before he was running the borders and territories with pirates. That only led him to even more, though, and his eyes were finally opened when he witnessed the riches brought in by mercenary work. After falling into a few crews and even running his own he had found himself there on Namek now. Greed was a bitch and Kiwi found himself married to it.

Nana looked over to Bana who was still staring at the Namekian draped in red cloth. His glare caught the bulky alien’s attention for a moment. Once he realized he could issue the order his head just simply nodded at the Namekian. A laugh followed from the two of them as they rushed in that direction at their new target, Fife.

Fife walked quietly from the village that he had just saved without ever guessing that to be the outcome. It was a decent workout, though, and he figured them just lucky that it did end up like that. The fight that was coming up next held no happy outcome, though. It would be a test of straight skill for the heretic Namekian who was still unaware of the charging aliens.

A straight amount of force smashed into Fife’s shoulder. His body was spun around as the large alien collided into his shoulder with his armor’s pad. Shocked at the sneak attack, he still held no bearing on what was happening which left him open for a smaller alien’s series of attacks that came as punches connecting against the Namekians body. Pains shot through him as each attack happened and even after they had stopped.

Fife hit the ground hard and remained there for a second. His grin that he usually wore carried a dribble of blood from where his teeth were now bleeding around the gums. He slowly eased himself up from the bluish tinted grass to where he knelt there on all fours. There he stayed trying to suppress himself from taking on any brash actions. He had been sneaked and wasn’t quite sure and didn’t really care. The outcome was going to be exactly what he wanted it to be. He was going to win this fight even against the odds. There was no other outcome and no other closure.

Fife found his self to his feet. His arm came up wiping the blood that was making its way from his lip to his chin. It smeared a little, but most of it found its way from his face. Followed by that he used his tongue to suck on his teeth collecting up what was left in his mouth. After snarling his lip slightly he spit off to the side. His head jerked left to right causing a popping noise and then his shoulder mimicking the same crunch. His eyes darted back to where the large alien stood and then back forward to the smaller pretty boy one.

Beep.

“Well…you are stronger than what I would have guessed. Not the strongest here on this swamp, but strong none the less.” Nana said with a smirk still confident of his ability.

The large alien raised his eyebrows as he watched Fife slowly get into a fighting stance. He was shocked at how the Namekian was out numbered and over powered. He wasn’t going to bluff like his companion did, though. Fife was strong and oddly the Namekian was just as strong as they two were. It was a sight that he was surprised to see. It was none to him that most Namekians, with exception for the guardians, were all weak. They were peaceful diplomats above all else. This one, though, was a warrior and Bana could see it in just his stature. Today was going to be a fun day for him.

“Oh god…” Nana said then with a sigh.

“Nana…” A voice over his Scouter said.

“What!?!” Nana said with an annoyed voice.

“Dismiss your operation. Leave the fool to Bana. I need you elsewhere.” Kiwi said over the transmission.

Nana’s teeth went to crunching down on each other as he started to lose his composure. It was a rare sight to see when it came to Nana, but it was quickly forced under control as he caught himself. A soft smile creased his lips and then his finger ran its way loosely through his hair to behind his ear. His eyes turned from his partner to the Namekian then with an annoyed glare.

“You are lucky. I must take my leave.” Nana said with an obvious distaste in the orders that were given to him.

“Take care of his quickly Bana.” Nana said as he lifted up from the ground in flight and left.

Fife couldn’t understand what was happening. One moment the daisy warrior had come at him stronger than any opponent had ever came and then simply left. Worst part of it was that he had left against his will. Surely it wasn’t the machines on their ears commanding them around. Then again they could have been. Fife had never seen such a device before through his travels. Whatever they were they did tell them something, though. That was gained through the Namekians large ears, just another improved sense over humans.

Fife turned slowly to the large alien that wore some sort of armor now. The hulk was chuckling in a distorted and muffled voice. It was an ugly being and the scars along with missing teeth didn’t help the sight either. Just at the sight of the creature Fife knew this fight was going to be harsh on him, but his odds were better now with the leave of the other smaller alien.

Guru’s eyes opened with a shimmer of golden energy that let out a bright light before dissipating. He turned to see his bodyguard still standing there at his side. The expression on the Namekian warrior’s face was one of concern as he waited for two things that carried grave news. The first was what Guru had to say, but the second was the power level that was racing towards their location at that moment.

“The son of Pedagogue lives…” Guru said in his wheezing voice.

“The battle is over?” The bodyguard asked anxiously.

“Yes, but…his energy is dim. I believe he has been hurt badly in the fight.” Guru said.

The bodyguard sighed. He didn’t know anything of the strange Namekian except from what his master, Guru, had let him know. He did however know the story of Pedagogue and was one of the only individuals on that planet, and possibly elsewhere across the universe, that actually knew the story. The name was a kept secret from all Namekians except for those of the libraries and archives. It was a well kept secret and a frightening one to those who knew it.

“What now?” The bodyguard asked.

“Go to him…” Guru said couching.

“…save him.” The old Namekian finally said.
