Not for the first time today, Gosai felt his body smashing into the hard packed dirt of Namek. It hadn't started out hard, but the human fighter's body had been knocked into it many times yet today and with little sign of stopping soon. "My body hurts..." He groaned aloud. "It wouldn't hurt if you hadn't let your training get sloppy." Enoki declared from where he stood, waiting in a simple offensive stance. "What are you talking about?" Gosai grunted, pushing himself back up to his feet. "I'm better than I've ever been." "No," the elder martial artist corrected him. "you're stronger than you've ever been. However, you've allowed your technical skills to degrade while focusing entirely on your physical ones. Hence why I'm beating you down, and why I've had to re-start your training from the beginning." He declared with some annoyance. "I... suppose..." "He has a point." Azumi added in, perched as she was near the top of the ship, looking up at the clouds above them. "He's been beating you like you owe him money for over an hour at this point, and you've barely touched him." "...I'm just getting warmed up. I'm like a diesel engine. A bit of a start up time, but once I get going...OW!" Gosai called out, rubbing the top of his head, where Enoki had smacked two of his fingers against them. "What was that for!?" "Being a fool." The old man sighed, turning his back to Gosai. "Also, our lesson for today is over. It seems as though some of your friends are soon to arrive." Blinking rapidly, Gosai turned towards his side, looking up into the sky as he noticed two green figures approaching. Clarinet and Bassoo, the two Nameks he'd met almost upon his arrival on the world. (Word Count: 301 Total Word Count: 301) |

The younger Namekian, Bassoo, remained silent for a few moments. In the end, it was Clarinet who stepped forward to address the gathering of humans. "We need to talk." He intoned darkly, nodding towards the trio's ship. "Can we go inside?" "I... suppose." Gosai nodded, turning around to lead them in. He needed a towel anyway. "What's up? You seem kinda stressed." "You would be to if there was a killing spree going on around your world." Clarinet commented darkly. "When your whole population is only a few hundred, you can see where that would be a big problem too I imagine." "Er... y-yeah." The human fighter nodded along, guiding his Namekian guests into a small room with a table. It was hardly decorated, in fact, Gosai used it primarily to store furniture... such as the table, and a few mismatched chairs. "So, why do you need me exactly?" "Lord Guru wanted to draw upon all the resources available to us." Bassoo explained, climbing up into a small reclining chair to look around the room. Clarinet, however, elected to remain standing while the human found himself another comfortable looking seat. "That, and it seems you'd be best suited to help with this task." The taller Namekian explained. Gosai arched an eyebrow, intrigued by that comment. "Do tell." He murmured, leaning forward in his seat, perching his head in his hands. "Fujara was the strongest warrior of his village. A member of the warrior sect there and a loyal if competitive individual." Clarinet began to explain to Gosai. "But... then someone came to Namek. Another human like you. He claimed he had the power to make Fujara the most powerful Namekian in history. In the interest of protecting our world from," The namekian paused, searching for a better word than 'outsiders' in light of his current company. Finally settled on his choice. "hostile beings, he went with the man." "And what exactly happened to him?" Gosai asked. The whole thing was getting interesting. It had the undertones of danger and adventure... and the human would be lying to claim he wasn't getting a bit of a thrill from the idea of putting himself out there to save an entire species. "He was... different. Stronger, yes. A lot stronger in fact. But... something had gone wrong. His mind was broken, and he wanted to prove he was strongest. He killed most of the warriors in his village. Guru has sent me to bring him in, but he wants me to take you. He isn't sure if either of us is a match for him alone." "Well, now you have me interested." Gosai commented, trying to keep a smile from his face. It seemed somehow... disrespectful of the damage caused by 'Fujara'. "Any idea where to find him?" "The last time Lord Guru sensed him," Bassoo piped up, looking at Gosai from his seat. "he was near a local mountain range. Our best guess is that he's started using that as a place to rest and recover after his attacks." The human fighter nodded, need to clean up after his latest workout having been forgotten in the thrill of the chase. "Then let's get moving." The young man declared, already running for a door with Clarinet not far behind him. Before the remaining humans had a chance to ask any questions the two fighters took to the sky with the human trailing just a little behind the Namekian. "What... are they doing?" Azumi asked, watching them depart into the skyline. "They're warriors, my girl." Enoki commented idly, his eyes lingering on the sky a few moments longer than the young woman's. "They're off to battle... a new enemy and a new adventure. Sometimes I think it's all that gets Gosai's blood pumping these days. Well, aside from pretty young women." He chuckled. "I really think you're misunderstanding my relationship with him." The young woman shook her head, blowing a strand of hair from her face. "One never knows." He commented. Meanwhile... "So, what exactly can you tell me about Fujara?" Gosai queried as he caught up with his Namekian guide. He could only hope the superior hearing of the alien would make up for the winds rushing around both of them. "I mean, what kind of a fighter is he?" "Skilled." The Namekian responded simply. "He's been training as a warrior namek for much of his life. He's matched himself against many of our people in various contests, he's rarely come in less than second best in these competitions." "Oh... boy." Gosai murmured. He was considering the implications of that statement. This was a being who was already phenomenally strong apparently... and had only gotten stronger since meeting with this 'scientist'. He made a note to look into him after all of this was said and done. (Word Count: 373 Total Word Count: 1,107) |

The speeds at which the duo of warriors flew covered the distance between Gosai's ship and the mountain Fujara was hopefully hiding out on within only a few minutes. Of course the amount of power the two projected was the big issue. If the warrior wanted to, he'd have plenty of warning to flee and hide. But then again, if he's been going around killing his fellow warriors he's probably looking for other people to fight... and we both fall well into that category. The human fighter considered the Namek flying just to his left. He was powerful, there wasn't any denying that. Clarinet could handle himself, and if Gosai hoped to defeat him it would require him to transform. If Guru thought it was going to take both of them to defeat this renegade... "There!" Clarinet shouted, immediately halting the duo's flight as he dropped to the ground, Gosai in tow. The human and namekian fighters landed only a few yards from the other Namekian. "Hello Clarinet." He greeted the two with a wide smirk. As his neck turned to take in Gosai, the human was certain he could hear small motors moving. What is he? The human wondered, his thoughts cut off however as he became aware of a palm opened up in front of his face. "An after imag-!?" Gosai hadn't even had time to complete his realization before an eruption of ki was unleashed into his face, sending him hurtling back into the stones of the mountain. "Guru must be getting senile." Fujara laughed, turning in time to block Clarinet's well placed punch. The two locked up for a rapid exchange of blows which terminated when Fujara slammed his skull against his fellow Namekian's. "To think you and some human could stop me!" (Word Count: 301 Total Word Count: 1,408) |

"Okay," Gosai moaned from the pile of broken rock he was currently calling his bed. "that was a cheap shot. Effective, but still cheap." With his mind spoken he rolled onto his side, considering for a moment the kind of power that had been put into the blast. It's true he was alive, but his face was feeling singed, if not burned in several places. His eyes weren't very happy either with his vision reduced mostly to light and dark colored blobs. I wonder if a rejuvenation tank can fix that... he inquired mentally, placing his hands on the ground to push himself up into a kneeling position and from there to begin standing up. In the few moments it took all of this to happen however, Fujara and Clarinet had been across the battlefield several times leaving caping footprints in the ground where the pressure of their movements or attacks had broken the stones of the mountain they were on. Sadly, for all of his valor, the fight was strongly against Clarinet. His movements were just a fraction of a heartbeat behind Fujara's... which at this pace felt like an eternity. Something Clarinet realized as the second Namekian's fist smashed into his chest once again, stretching his rubbery body backwards as the two exchanged a set of blows again. Get up, human. The Namekian fighter urged mentally. I don't know how long I can keep this fight going on my own. Fortunately Clarinet's prayers were answered as a solid foot connected with Fujara's shoulder, sending the other Namekian tumbling down the slope of the battlefield. "Did I get him?" The human owner of the foot queried, narrowing his eyes in an attempt to sharpen his vision. "Oh, this is really not good." "Yeah. You got him." The human's namekian partner assured him, grabbing Gosai by the collar and rushing down the incline where he guided the boy in a double strike, both of them slamming their feet into Fujara's back as they landed, eliciting a pained groan from him. "Think... you can beat me with simple tricks like that!?" Fujara screamed, igniting his aura with enough fury to throw stones and other debris into the air. Debris like the two life forms atop his back. Gosai cursed as his feet touched the uneven ground, his body nearly toppling over before Clarinet grabbed hold of his gi's sleeve to hold him steady. "The hell is wrong with you?" He growled to his partner. "The sun's to bright?" He offered, trying to focus his ki sense on Fujara... a task that wasn't terribly difficult considering his rapidly rising power. It was definitely getting to a point where it towered above either of them individually. "So... any suggestions?" The human queried. "Yeah," Clarinet nodded, giving Gosai a rough shove, one that separated them and allowed Fujara's next attack, a savage axe kick, to pass through the space they'd once occupied. "I noticed when we were fighting... he's lost a lot of his flexibility. His body doesn't stretch like a normal namekian's. It changes the whole game of his fighting style." "Oh, good." Gosai sighed, throwing himself in the direction of the strongest ki and launching powerful, but poorly aimed, punches and kicks towards it. Most of them were parried or outright blocked, but one or two slipped past his opponent's guard. (Word Count: 565 Total Word Count: 1,973) |

The combat was coming fast and furious, and with Gosai barely able to discern his foe much of the tactical work was falling to Clarinet. Fortunately, the clever Namekian did not disappoint. Just as Fujara was about to exact his revenge for the blows that had earlier befallen him, his namekian adversary's elbow drove forcefully into his skull. Taking advantage of the opening, Gosai launched a rapid fire assault of punches into the center of the 'blob' that had attacked him. Just as Clarinet had said, there was very little give to Fujara's body. Less than a human's and far, far, less than a Namekian's. So, sixty-four thousand zeni question: what does it mean? He questioned himself before he felt Fujara's knee plant into his kidney with enough force to double him over. The human gasped as the crack of his ribs. Clarinet however, was fast enough to cover for the human's vulnerability, opening his mouth wide and fire off a succession of ki blasts from his mouth to the back of Fujara's head. Of the three blasts, two hit point blank, with one being smacked away before the enraged Namekian turned his attention back to his secondary foe. Once more the two Namekian warriors locked up in battle. "You can't stop me!" Fujara declared. "I'm the most powerful being on this entire planet! I'll rebuild the Namekian people as I see fit!" His voice was rising to a shriek as he declared his intentions, a savage swipe of his clawed fingers drawing blood across Clarinet's face, forcing him to back up clutching at his wounds. "You see?" Fujara laughed. "Even the Gods of Namek are on my side. I've blinded both of my foes. Foes already at a disadvantage. It is my destiny to bring our people to a new age!" He screamed again, raising up his arms as he began to gather together his ki. "And with this, I end the bat-" However, the raging Namekian's words were cut off by a single kick from Gosai. One planted right into his back. "Friggin' spine feels like' it's made of metal." The human grumbled, his foot still placed against the Namekian warrior's back. "Just means when it breaks though, it's gonna really break." He intoned. "You..." He gasped, turning around and swinging a kick at Gosai. The human fighter had banked on some kind of counter-attack however and was leaping away as soon as he felt his body turn. As he covered his retreat Gosai hurled several small mesposos at his foe. A distraction rather than an attempt to truly injure him. "So you can power up." The human scoffed, attempting to buy time for clarinet. His vision was slowly coming back to him as well. "I can do that too. In fact... I'll do ya one better. Whaddya say? Wanna see what I can do when I go all out?" (Word Count: 484 Total Word Count: 2,457) |

"You're bluffing." Fujara practically spit the accusation at Gosai. "If you could transform into anything, you'd have done it by now." "Nah, see how could I know if you were worth the effort of showing my cool extra powers against?" He commented. "So I held back. And waited. And now I think we're ready to go all out, don't you Clarinet?" Take all the time you need, man. Gosai thought to himself, sliding his feet into a new stance. You just have to occupy his attention for a few seconds. I'll hit him with everything we need. With that little comment his own ki began to flare about his body in preparation for what was coming. Fujara, however, saw none of this. In fact, he had fallen for Gosai's bluff hook line and sinker. With his back turned to the him in anticipation of an attack from the blinded Namekian Gosai had an open shot. And he took it. Holding his hands in front of him, yellow ki began crackling between his fingertips, quickly forming a steady glow between both of his hands. In a fluid motion the human martial artist raised his hands up over his head and threw the burst of energy at his foe like a ball. However, the attack didn't stop there. It quickly flew upward into the air with a quick twist of Gosai's wrists before it began spraying down balls of ki like a storm at Fujara. "What is this!?" The namekian screamed, doing his best to evade the blasts, but here and there he was still being pelted with bursts of ki energy. His costume slowly burning up from it as his skin was singed by the contact of the energies. "One of my favorite moves. It's called the 'Kakusandan' but you can just call it 'Gosai's big pile of hurt'... actually, that's a pretty terrible name." He mused, seeming to lose himself in thought for a moment. "Don't you mock me human!" Fujara screamed, his voice rising in pitch again as he attempted to charge Gosai. (Word Count: 348 Total Word Count: 2,805) |

By now however Gosai's clouded vision had recovered enough to make out the shape of Fujara's body if not his distinctive features. Which really, was all he needed in order to battle him. He was able to watch the Namekian's leg come up in a kick to his damaged ribs. On a quick instinct he pushed down his arm to block it before stepping in closer and palm striking the alien warrior's throat with his hand. In another quick motion he brought in his skull headbutting the Namekian with all the force he could bring down. Despite his sturdy body, Fujara was stumbled by the attack, moving backwards away from Gosai as he attempted to regain his balance. This retreat was only made more difficult by Clarinet shoulder checking him in the back. The wounded Namekian locked his arms around Fujara before raising him off of the ground, squeezing his body with all the force he could manage. "You've become... a disgrace to our people Fujara!" Clarinet bellowed. "You're no longer worthy of your rank or of your power. Give up now and Guru may forgive you. Do not turn your heart upon us." "F-fool!" Fujara screamed, his ki flaring around himself. Ineffectually the tongues of energy lapped at the warrior holding him in place. "I am the future of Namek! I am the future of our people!" "No. You are a fool who has lost his way." Clarinet intoned sadly, nodding to Gosai. "Give him the final blow." The human was nervous. Killing an opponent was something he hadn't done before. Could he do it here and now? He barely knew Fujara except as an enemy. Would that make it easier? None of these questions would be given a chance to be answered however as the Namekian's screams turned from frustration and hate to pain. His flesh was beginning to burn away under the intensity of his power. Cords and plates of metal were beginning to come exposed under his body. "He's... a cyborg?" Gosai asked, confusion reigning over his mind. "I-idiots! We need... this..." He gasped, the motors in his body were whirring now. The speeds of which quickly became a high pitched whine. He was damaged. His body was failing dramatically now. "He's gonna blow!" Gosai screamed, trying to kick him out of Clarinet's grasp. "Get away quick!" He continued yelling as the tall Namekian nodded to him again before taking to the sky. Gosai went up after him, pausing only to gather one more burst of ki in his hand. A familiar basketball sized burst, which he tossed over his shoulder as he flew far and fast. It was enough to keep Fujara on the ground instead of in pursuit. The explosion of the Namekian warrior was bright and loud. Gosai feared he would end up blinded once again as he squeezed his eyes shut, focusing entirely upon his ki senses once more. With Fujara dead there were still too many questions floating around and nobody to answer them. Gosai had made his way to Guru, where the eldest Namek called upon a healer for both Gosai and Clarinet. Their injuries were relatively minot compared to how it could have ended for either of them. "So, do we even know where Fujara got his upgrades from?" Gosai questioned, kicking at an imaginary stone on the floor of Guru's abode. "I am afraid not." The massive Namekian sighed, his body shaking with the effort of simply keeping life in his form at this age. "The best guess we can give is that the man who so altered my child remains near his village." It was hard to watch Guru as he was now. He may not have known Fujara that well, so far as Gosai was aware at least, but he was still one of the Eldest Namek's children or grand-children. And his death, especially one so meaningless and avoidable... it was a tragedy for the obese elder. "I'll look for him." Gosai finally declared. His assertion gained him a glare from several of Guru's guardians. "I've got nothing better to do while I'm here after all. And this guy's definitely a bastard to have released something like that." The human fighter was relatively certain he saw a small smile cross Guru's features as he nodded. "Very well. We shall offer to you what aid we can." "Well, I just need a few maps I guess. My special senses will do the rest." Gosai told him with a just barely concealed grin. Once more he was forgetting the seriousness of his occasion. With his body healed and a promise made, there was little more for the human to do but act upon it. Of course, he'd probably need to gather some camping equipment from his ship. The only real question was whether to bring along Enoki and Azumi or let them continue with... whatever it was they did. (Word Count: 334 Total Word Count: 3,626) |

Azumi, it appeared, was still tanning atop the ship while Enoki sat nearby lost in meditation. However, the elder martial artist looked up as he began to feel the typical sensations of his grandson's ki rapidly approaching. "He's returned. And unless my eyes are going in my old age, I think he's found himself another mission already." True, from the distance Gosai was, Enoki was already able to see the look of determination on his face as the boy touched down. "Hey, grandpa. Hey Azumi. Gonna go camping and scientist hunting for a while." He declared walking back into the ship. "Repeat that last part?" Azumi suggested, sliding off the top of the ship to follow Gosai. "I said I'm hunting a mad scientist. Thanks to him a bunch of Namekians are dead, and some jerk namekian went psychotic. So, I think it's time for Mr. Left and Mr. Right to show my displeasure to him." "Gosai, are you sure this is a good idea?" Azumi queried, following along behind him still. Enoki remained silent, watching his grandson curiously. "No way. The guy just unleashed a mass murderer on the planet." The young man declared, the fire of his emotions had been stoked up. "So I'm gonna grind him into the dirt. Someone has to punish people like this!" He declared. "And you think that's you?" Enoki finally asked, somberly. "If you take the responsibility for protecting the people around you, Gosai, you will eventually be disappointed. It is a... hard life." The way the old man spoke seemed to hold some experience with the matter. Gosai paused, thinking about what had been said. He didn't pause long though. "If I have the power to help someone, I have the responsibility to use it. And if I can't save someone, I can at least punish the person responsible for what happened." "Be careful that the desire to punish evil does not become an evil unto itself, Gosai. That is all I ask."
