The bright Namekian sun beamed down on Eelam as he stared out from his tiny island. His right hand was above his brow acting as a visor from the bright sun. In all directions the only thing that could be seen was green water and small islands scattered about. On each island were these funny looking trees that looked like someone had groomed them into perfect circles.

"Which way do I go?" Eelam asked himself as he gazed out into the endless line of islands. "I guess it doesn't really matter," He chuckled to himself and then sighed deeply. Eelam took a few steps back and then crouched into a running position. Taking one more deep breath, Eelam dashed forward with all his might.

As Eelam's foot reached the edge of the island he kicked off and went airborne. Easily clearing the gap between islands, Eelam's feet landed softly on the next island and kept sprinting forward. Again and again, Eelam raced forward and leaped to the next island. For hours Eelam raced forward without any sign of the scenery changing.

"Is there any life on this planet?" Eelam shouted in frustration, but right as he finished he caught the glimpse of what appear to be a cone. As he got closer, Eelam could see others and they were attached to what appeared to be some sort of huts. "Finally!" Eelam exclaimed and headed towards the tiny village.

As Eelam approached the village, he hid behind a ledge. He peered over the side to see who was inhabiting this planet. His eyes fell upon what looked like green elves with antennae coming out the top of their heads. "Namekians...that means I'm on Planek Namek," Eelam thought to himself, "At least they are supposed to be friendly." Eelam sighed with some relief knowing he wasn't the only intelligent life on this green planet.

Eelam laid over the ledge starting down over the tiny village. His hands were both propped above his eyes to block the bright suns. "Does the sun ever go down here?!" Eelam exclaimed. Realizing he was shouting he ducked down out of site. An elder Namekian looked up in his direction, but just barely missed seeing him before he ducked back down. "I guess I should head down there," he whispered to himelf.

With that Eelam stood straight up and leaped down towards the tiny village. Upon landing on the ground all eyes fell on him. The green men were mumbling this back and forth amongst each other. It was in a foreign language though that Eelam couldn't understand. "Umm...hi, my name is Eelam." He greeted the aliens nervously, but they just stared at him and continued to mumble back and forth.

Eelam scratched the back of his head nervously and looked at all the Namekian faces. A few children could be seen peering out of the huts in curiosity. "So, can you understand me?" Eelam asked towards who appeared to be the village elder. He started at Eelam with a stern face for a minute and then ordered something in Namekian to the others. With that, the Namekians turned there back on Eelam and continued their work.

Eelam stood in confusion for a moment. Some of the younger Namekians would looked towards him and chuckled, while the elders would even glance in his direction. "Was it something I said?" Eelam thought to him. Seeing one of the Namekians what appeared to be planting seeds, Eelam approached him to see if he could help. Crouching down next to the Namekian, Eelam asked, "Are you farming?"

Before he could get an answer from the farmer, the elder Namekian stood between him and Eelam. He shouted something in Namekian and then waved his hand in a shooing motion at Eelam. "Really?" Eelam asked, but the Namekian get a firm glare on him and continued his waving away. Eelam sighed, but nodded and turned to walk away. Getting a couple yards out of the village, Eelam laid on the ground and relaxed. "Sure is going to be hard to get some sleep with this never ending daylight," he thought to himself. But after laying there for a few moments, Eelam fell fast asleep.

Hours later Eelam woke from his sleep, the suns just as bright as ever. His throat dry, he crawled over to the shore and dipped his hand into the icy cool water. He scooped up a handful of water and took a sip. "Man, that's good," he said to himself. He looked over his shoulder towards the Namekian village. They all seemed to just be doing their daily tasks, none of them paying attention to him anymore. A rumble came from Eelam's stomach and he rolled over in pain. "I wonder if those Namekians have food," he thought, "They probably wouldn't offer me any even if they did."

With a giant sigh, Eelam rest back on his arms and looked out towards the sea. Suddenly there was a giant splash and Eelam saw what appeared like a giant tail. Eelam jumped up to his feet with excitement and hunger in his eye. Without a second thought, Eelam dived head first into the green Namekian sea. The icy water fell good on Eelam's skin which was warm from laying in the direct sun for hours. With his legs kicking hard, Eelam swam deep into the depths of the ocean.

Suddenly a sea creature resembling a giant fist swam right past Eelam. This creature was blue and was about twice the size of Eelam. It was nowhere near as big as the creature that made the splash. But Eelam was dying of hunger and wasn't going to be picky about which sea monster he fought. Quickly Eelam swam after the massive fish, slowly gaining on it. As he got close enough, Eelam wrapped his arms around the base of the tail and held on tight. Angered, the fish thrashed about trying to throw Eelam off of him.

Eelam held on tight as the monster of a fish dragged him across the ocean. As they got close to the ocean floor, Eelam dug his feet into the wet floor and pulled back on the creature's tail. Even with his feet planted, the beast pulled him along the floor of the sea. With all his might, Eelam pulled down on the tail and slammed the fish on the ocean bed. Injured the fish still kicked, but Eelam could already tell it had lost most of its fight. With one more slammed, he killed the fish against a giant rock on the ocean floor.

Back at the Namekian Village, Eelam's dive into the sea had caught the attention of the villagers. They were all staring wide eyed at the sea to see if this strange outsider would be return to their island. All of a sudden there was giant spray of water and the giant fish landed on the shore. The Namekian villagers gasped at the sight,, their jaws dropping as low as they could. Following the fish, Eelam came jumping out of the sea and landed next to the fish. Seeing all villagers staring, he waved over at them with a grin. Quickly the Namekians returned to their work, acting like they had never noticed him. Still alone, Eelam gathered some sticks and made a fire to cook his dinner.

After a few days of camping outside the village, Eelam slowly started moving into their ranks. At first he would just watch the way they worked. Seeing how each and every daily task is done and completed. Most of the villagers didn't pay him much attention, but didn't seem to mind him watching either. Except for the Elder, who continued to glare at him every time he approached any of the other villagers. Although the glare was slightly threatening, Eelam tried to ignore the old man and continued to learn from the other villagers.

A couple times, Eelam tried to start up a conversation with someone. The villagers would usually give him a puzzled look and then continue what they were doing. The younger Namekians seemed to grow fond of Eelam though. They even tired to get him to join in a game, but the Elder barked some order that Eelam couldn't understand and the children ran back inside their tiny huts. When Eelam looked over at the Elder his eyes were still glaring at him and his fist were clenched tightly, so Eelam decided to back off.

After the villagers had gone to bed, Eelam went out into their fields and started plowing for them. Even though everyone was sleeping, the bright Namekian suns never seemed to set. It was hard labor, but Eelam seemed to be doing twice the or in half the time the Namekians had done. After finishing the field, Eelam fell back and laid looking up at the green sky.

Suddenly, the sound of laughter and cheers could be heard. Eelam quickly sat up to see the villager's smiling at the work he had done while they rested. Everyone seemed relieved and grateful except for the Elder. The Elder's old worn eyes fell upon the completely plowed field. His eyes were no longer filled with anger though, but he still wore a frown on his face.

Eelam spent hours on end with the Namekians in the village. They all seemed to have warmed up to him, and most even started speaking his own language. All but the Elder of the village, who remained cold and distant. But at least now he wasn't banishing Eelam from the village or from him having contact with the other Namekians of the village. For the first time in a long time, Eelam felt like he had a home. A home among a race of people, so different from his own.

While talking with one of the Namekians, a cry rang out from the shore. Eelam and a few others quickly ran out to find a young Namekian struggling to swim. Swimming around him could be see the giant tail that Namekian first saw in the ocean waters. While the other Namekian's gasped and tried to figure out how to save the boy, Eelam burst into action. He quickly dashed towards the shore and dived head first into the water.

As Eelam's body sank under the cool surface of the Namekian waters. As soon as he opened his eyes, Eelam saw the giant sea serpent swimming around the young Namekian child. Eelam swam towards the boy, but as he made his move the serpent turned his bath inwards at the boy as well. Eelam cut the beast off and clenched his fist tight into a ball. As the monster closed in it opened its massive jaws, trying to swallow Eelam whole.

In the last instant before being eaten, Eelam kicked upward and then quickly came down with a powerful slam on the creatures head. The force of the punch was strong enough to cause the serpent to smash its head against the ocean bed. It let out a shriek and then started coming back at the boy. As the creature was about ready to chomp down on the boy, Eelam came flying in with a kick to the creature's midsection. The was sent flying back and let out one more giant shriek. The Namekians on the shore had to cover their ears from the beast's cry.

Eelam grabbed the boy and pulled him back to the shore. Some of the older Namekians took the boy from Eelam's arms and rushed him into the hut. The all the other Namekians ran after them except for the Elder. His arms were crossed and he had a stern look on his face still. He slowly stepped towards Eelam and his face turned to grin. "Thank you," The old Namekian said in a language that Eelam could actually understand, as he wrapped his arms around Eelam. The moment was brief but still very awkward for Eelam. After his hug, the old Namekian led Eelam into the hut with the other Namekians to check on the boy.
