Well, isn't this a beautiful day... O'Ryan thought as he flew through a rain storm that had such a thick downpour that it could easily be classified as a torrent. Ever since O'Ryan had flown over the mountains that had towered over the desert he had just been in, the android had been caught in a gigantic downpour that could easily flood most of the lower sections of West City, and it was almost impossible for O'Ryan to see where he was going at the moment, so he was relying on the maps that his primary programming had created over the months that O'Ryan had been on Earth. Argh... are there any cities nearby that I can land at? :Statement... there are several cities nearby, all belonging to the coastal nation of New Oceania. Fly East by North East to reach the town of Coral, the smallest town within the nation of New Oceania. It is considered a backwater port because it had been constructed over a reef, so most sea vessels are unable to approach it. The main occupation is fishing and-: Alright already! I get it, Coral is rather small. O'Ryan exclaimed within his mind to get his primary programming to stop talking. O'Ryan turned to fly East by North East and started to power fly so he could make it through the buffeting winds. It wasn't long after this that O'Ryan managed to break he way out of the storm and saw the town of Coral in the distance. On both sides of the port were hills that would be very difficult to climb or go around, so there were truly only two entrances, which were the ports on the sea and the highways that entered the town from the main land. Unless you count air, which only I can do. the android thought with a smile. As O'Ryan approched the town however, he quickly brought his flight to a halt and stared at the town, along with the surrounding land and sea, completely stunned. Surrounding the town on the main land side was what looked like an army that was blockading the town from the land. There was also a large fleet of ships that was forming a sea blockade so no one could go any farther then the reef that the town was built on top of. What the heck is going on?? O'Ryan thought as he approched slowly and activating the zoom feature of his built in scouter to examine the army more closely so his primary programming could identify them. :Identification confirmed. That is New Oceania's Royal Army. Those military vessels that are blockading the port are with the Royal Navy. The weapons of both forces are aimed towards the town.: O'Ryan's primary programming chirped, and O'Ryan's jaw dropped. They are blockading their own people?? What the heck for?! Why would they be doing- O'Ryan thought at a rapid pace, but his thoughts were cut off by several sounds that would of made O'Ryan's heart stop, if he had one. The first sound was a voice over a loud speaker, saying "By the order of Lord Varigon Samdil, you are all ordered to surrender now! Failing to do so will result in us all opening fire on this whole town! This uprising will not be tolerated!" They wouldn't... O'Ryan thought in a panic. The next sound the android heard came roughly two seconds later... cannon fire from the war ships, followed by an explosion at the port. The blast was followed by the sounds of civilians screaming in fear. "That was your final warning! Surrender now or die!" O'Ryan couldn't stand it anymore. He didn't know all of the details, but he couldn't let that army kill so many innocent people for the sake of stopping a rebellion. Without thinking, O'Ryan hurled down towards the town of Coral, heading for the warships first. ---------------- Post word count: 650 |

As O'Ryan rocketed down from the sky towards the warships, activity in the port town of Coral began to increase... and in a very dangerous manner. Civilians were panicking and running through the streets, attempting to find cover where they could outlive the approaching attack, but there wasn't anywhere they could hide, and the only ways they could run were blocked off by warships and tanks. Still, some of the civilians decided that they would have a better chance with a suicidal attempt at fleeing through the blockade then staying put and waiting to be shot, blown up, burned alive, or a combination of those choices. However, not a single civilian could make it past the blockades. The boats that tried to make a run for it were quickly blown out of the water and sunk... but at least they were killed right away. As for the ones that tried to make a get away on land, their cars were either blown up by the tanks, or simply disabled so the Royal Army troops could pull them out of their wrecked cars and give them a traitor's death... a gun shot wound between the eyes. After roughly three minutes of these failed attempts of fleeing, all of the civilians seemed to give up trying to run. Meanwhile, in a closed car repair shop, several leading members of the rebellion were weighing out their options... and none of them were appealing choices. "Guys, it wasn't that long ago that I finished creating a new tunnel for running supplies to our rebel troops here in Coral. It goes from this very building to the other side of the hills to our right. We could all escape through the supply tunnel." suggested John, the owner of the repair shop and a master at equipping civilian vehicles with heavy weapons like repeating machine gun turrets. "That's a cowards tactic. Could you live with abandoning all of our friends and family members here to death while only a few of us could make it out? I can't do that, and I won't. What we should do is surrender ourselves so only we are killed and the town survives. Our self-sacrifice to save all of their lives will rally them into action. This whole town will become a stronghold for all of the rebels as we make our attack against Samdil." stated Alex, a former lieutenant in the Royal Army, and a renown hero. He gave up everything because he couldn't stand by and watch the people suffer. "That's a noble attitude Alex, but that won't save Coral. The Royal Army knows that the civilians here will be rallied by that. Even if we did surrender, they will still kill everyone here... man, woman, and child. No matter what we do, Coral is doomed. What we should do is attempt to fight back and take as many down as we can with us. Whom ever we kill today or what ever we destroy today won't be around to deal more damage tomorrow." suggested Medusa, a passionate fighter for the rebellion and one of the top commanders of the rebels in Coral. "Uh, guys... what is that reddish comet in the sky? I thought the chancellor was in the capital!" said Rachel, a common soldier in the rebellion that had been looking up at the sky for an answer to her prayer that a hero would come to save them all. Stunned at hearing this, Alex quickly rushed over to the window and looked up. "That's not the chancellor. I'm not sure what that thing is!" the war hero stated just before a red beam encased by a white beam shot out of the amber comet and hit the warship that fired at the port... and destroyed the warship completely. "Weren't you just muttering about wanting a savior, Private Rachel? I think someone heard your prayer." stated John as he looked over the private's shoulder. Rachel, completely dump founded, slowly nodded. ----------------- Post word count: 664 Total word count: 1314 |

Well, that got their attention! O'Ryan thought as he dived downwards towards the sea to avoid a volley of rounds from the nearby warships. As O'Ryan flew downwards, he slowly curved towards the mountains that were to the right of the town, allowing himself to be carried by the wind that was taking him even further to the right of the port town. O'Ryan was hoping that the warships would radio to the Royal Army for back up since they were having so much trouble shooting O'Ryan down. As O'Ryan flew, he noticed that only a one or two of the ships were turning to follow him, but not all of them. If they don't take me as an extreme threat, then I'm going to have to make them think that so they leave this town alone. O'Ryan thought as he curved back around and launched several beam balls at the nearest warship that wasn't following him. After several hits, the warship's haul looked a lot like Swiss cheese, and was in flames as it started to sink. When only two more ships turned to approach O'Ryan, the android destroyed another warship that was still targeting the coast in that fashion. Soon, all of the warships were slowly starting to move and were turning towards O'Ryan while swiveling their turrets in the android's direction. Back in the town, the leaders of the rebels in Coral were watching most of the tanks and heavy weapons of the Royal Army turning away from the village and begun to make their long trip around the edge of the hill side to help the warships destroy this new threat. All that was left were infantry and light armored vehicles. Seeing this, Alex smiled. "If you want to go down fighting, then now is your chance Medusa. Rally the rebels and tell them to open fire with their RPGs at the ground just in front of the jeeps to overturn them. We're going to need those vehicles. Rachel, follow me." Alex said as he left the conference room and headed into the repair shop. The private nodded and quickly followed him. In the repair shop was the most powerful weapon that the rebellion had up till now: a four wheel drive pick up truck with a rotating rocket turret mounted inside the bucket of the truck. The truck's engine and frame were rebuilt to withstand rugged terrain at high speeds while the rockets were being fired, while the metal shell of the truck was replaced with several layers of armored plates to withstand heavy attacks from the Royal Army's light armored vehicles. Alex jumped onto the back and manned the turret while Rachel jumped into the driver's seat. The moment the engine was started, John opened up the garage, and the rocket truck quickly pulled out and headed towards the edge of the city. It was going to be a long drive however. Near the edge of the right side of the mountains, O'Ryan floated high in the sky, surrounded in his amber aura of ki energy. Along the shore line all of the warships were gathering and were firing their cannons at the android, trying to blow him out of the sky, but they were having little success because of his small size and the fact that O'Ryan was moving every now and then just to make himself harder to hit. :Statement... 85% of the Royal Army that was blockading the town of Coral is now entering firing range of the O'Ryan unit. Begin stage two of attack on blockade.: O'Ryan's primary programming stated as O'Ryan glanced over his shoulder at the approaching army, then turned back towards the warships. In O'Ryan's field of view, several cross hairs appeared and begun to move around, and stopped moving when each one was over a different warship. O'Ryan then held his hands out towards the navy fleet, fingers spread wide. Soon, the tips of each of his fingers were glowing with yellow ki energy as he focused his ki energy into them. "Flash Bomb!" O'Ryan shouted, and several hundred of small yellow balls flew out of every single one of O'Ryan's fingers like several machine guns, and soon the warship fleet was getting bombarded with this ki attack. As O'Ryan fired, he slowly rotated in place so he could shoot the entire fleet, not just the ships that were within his field of view. When there was just one warship left though, a large metal explosive nailed O'Ryan in the back, causing him to hurl down to the ground and crash, leaving a crater. For a moment, nothing happened, then a hand came out of the crater, grabbed the ground, and pulled up the body attached to the arm, starting with a head with a pair of glowing amber eyes. "Shouldn't of done that." O'Ryan stated as he climbed out of the crater, speaking to the tank that shot him. The tank fired again, and O'Ryan side stepped the round and watched it hit the last warship just below the water line, causing it to sink. O'Ryan then turned back towards the Royal Army, floated up into the the air a bit, and aimed both of his hands at the army, his fingers stretched wide. "Flash Bomb!" The android cried again, and the whole army was destroyed in a matter of moments. O'Ryan sighed as he slowly floated down to the ground. As O'Ryan removed his white robe to inspect the damage done to his favorite piece of clothing, the rocket car pulled around the corner of the mountains and stopped when the driver saw O'Ryan. Now to find out what this is all about. -------------- Post word count: 950 Total word count: 2264 |

As O'Ryan slowly made his way towards the approaching rocket truck, the android's primary programming decreased his power output by slowing down the flow of the bio plasma that runs through the tubes in O'Ryan's body. As O'Ryan's power output dropped, the amber ki aura that surrounded O'Ryan dissipated, and the amber glow that resonated from O'Ryan's eyes dissipated to the point that it appeared that the irises of O'Ryan's eyes were the color amber and had a very faint glow to them. O'Ryan kept his hands loosely open and walked towards the rocket truck in a casual manner in an attempt to show the driver and the turret operator that he didn't mean either of them any harm. However, as he and the rocket truck grew closer to each other, he wasn't surprised that the turret operator aimed the turret at him. I shouldn't be surprised. I might have helped them, but I came down from the sky encased in what could have appeared to be a fire ball, and I destroyed a whole fleet of warships in two volleys of energy, took a tank shot to the back and remained unscathed, then took that armored division out in one energy volley. I'm nothing like they encountered before. O'Ryan thought to himself as he stopped walking because he could now see the white of the eyes of the turret operator without the aid of his built in scouter... which was telling him that the driver had a slightly above average power level for a human. When the rocket truck stopped, the turret operator climbed down, grenade launcher in hand and had it aimed squarely at O'Ryan's head. "Rachel, stay in the Rocket Truck. I'll handle this." the turret operator told the driver as she started to open the door with an old fashion AK-47 in her hand. Rachel hesitated at first, then followed her superior's orders and shut her door, still inside the vehicle. "Yes sir." The turret operator was now close enough that he couldn't miss O'Ryan if he fired, but was far enough away that he wouldn't get caught in the blast from the round he might fire. "Who are you? Tell me now or I'll fire!" the man asked as he threatened O'Ryan with the grenade launcher. "My name is O'Ryan. I have no last name. I'm surprised that you didn't ask what-" "Shut it or I'm going to pull the trigger! What faction are you with?" "I'm not with one. I just couldn't sit on the sidelines and let those people kill everyone like that. I've seen too much death-" "I didn't ask you that! How much training did chancellor Yesdr give you? Only Yesdr or one of his disciples would destroy their own forces in an attempt to gain our trust then kill us all without a second thought. I've watched it happen!" "Chancellor who? I've never heard that name before. Master Roshi is the one that taught me those abilities, and more. What's going on here? What would your own army attack-" "Shut up! I'm the one asking questions here!" "And a wonderful job your doing too. I came here to help you guys because I couldn't stand to see innocent lives being thrown away like that, yet here you are making an enemy of me when you used civilians as human shields a moment ago. You tell me who is in the right here pal! Only an evil person uses civilians as a human shield like you did!" The moment O'Ryan accused the turret operator of being an evil person, and described having the Coral rebel base actually IN Coral where everyone could get caught in the cross fire, the turret operator flinched, then slowly lowered his weapon. "I can't just bring some outsider in to help us, Mr. O'Ryan. We're at war with our own leader, Lord Varigon Samdil. He's a tyrant who has been taking away our rights and pouring taxes on us that no one can pay! All requests to talk to him have resulted in deaths that I can't bear to even try to count. Rebellion is our only chance for freedom, but the Chancellor is an evil wizard that wields spells similar to yours, and he has several students with similar powers. We're out manned, out equipped, out gunned, out skilled. Why would you want to help us?" At this comment, O'Ryan smiled. "First of all, you still have the ability to take your opponent by surprise by fighting with gorilla tactics. Now, for the reason why I want to help you guys... it is what I was built for. I'm an android that was built over 175 years ago by a race from another universe. I was a protector then, known as the Soulless Hero. Protecting those that can't defend themselves is what I am meant to do." O'Ryan stated without a second thought. This was something he couldn't turn his back on. He would stand and fight this Chancellor and won't back down. These people deserved freedom... and he could help them get it. -------------- Post word count: 849 Total word count: 3113 |

After O'Ryan had said these things to the turret operator, the man slowly nodded. "A-alright. I'll trust you for now. I'm Alex. I used to be a lieutenant in the Royal Army and a decorated hero, but I defected from it because I couldn't stand to see so many people suffer anymore. I guess I was just a bit stunned that someone could wield as much power as you just did, and that power didn't corrupt them." Alex stated as he started to walk back towards the Rocket Truck as Rachel started the engine up again. O'Ryan nodded in reply, understanding what Alex was worried about. "It is understandable as to why you were worried about such a thing, and I respect that. However, you can trust me when I tell you that my power won't corrupt me. I'm an android after all, so I can't be effected by things such as that." O'Ryan stated in reply as he greeted Rachel with a nod when he walked passed the driver side door, then passed the truck entirely, and started to walk around the mountain. Alex in the mean time was climbing back up into the bucket of the Rocket Truck to man the rocket turret again in case he needed to fight off some more Royal Army forces. While the Rocket Truck was able to drive around the hill side at a fast pace, O'Ryan was about to out run it on foot and was waiting for the two of them at the main entrance into the port town of Coral. However, just as the Rocket Truck approched the main gate, O'Ryan's built in scouter chirped. :Warning... humanoid approaching with power level of 500. Approaching individual is currently in flight aboard a helicopter.: O'Ryan's primary programming stated as the android turned around and faced in the direction of the approaching warrior. Rachel glanced over at O'Ryan at first, wondering why he suddenly turned on his heel, but then her eyes went wide as if she felt something and looked over her shoulder towards the approching warrior as well. "Alex sir... I'm having that feeling again. It's a disciple!" the private cried, and fear entered Alex's eyes. "We have to get everyone out of here now!" the war hero shouted as several members of the rebellion approached the edge of the port town to see who was accompanying the Rocket Truck. O'Ryan didn't move though. He just kept his eyes locked onto the approaching helicopter, studying it with the aid of the zoom feature of his built in scouter. "Don't panic. I'll handle this one." O'Ryan said in a calm tone, but it was rather loud because his primary programming had turned up the volume for O'Ryan's voice so everyone could hear him. The android then started to walk towards the helicopter as a single man dropped out of it, fell at least 50 feet, then landed on his feet without any trouble at all. He was wearing dark gray clothes and had a steel sword strapped to his back. When he saw O'Ryan approaching him though, he started to laugh out loud. "What is this? Someone dares to challenge one of Chancellor's disciples head on? Who do you think you are that makes you powerful enough to defeat me?!" the man said as he drew his steel sword, rushed at O'Ryan, and swung at the android. O'Ryan didn't even bother trying to block the attack. The moment the blade hit O'Ryan's neck, the whole steel sword shattered. The disciple stared down at what was left of his sword, and dropped it in fear as he looked into O'Ryan's glowing amber eyes. "Be gone." O'Ryan uttered under his breath... if an android could have breath that is... as he formed an amber energy ball in his hand and aimed it at the disciple, but didn't launch it. The disciple looked down at the energy ball, then back up at O'Ryan rage filling his eyes. "H-how dare you speak to me in such a manner! DIE!!" the disciple shouted as he tried to blast O'Ryan with a beam ball of his own, but the beam ball didn't even burn a single hair on the android's head. "I gave you a chance to run for your life, but you wasted it. I'm sorry, but I can't leave you here to harm these people." O'Ryan stated and blasted the disciple with the beam ball, killing him in an instant. O'Ryan sighed sadly, slowly turned around, and walked back towards the town. He looked up at Alex, then nodded. "There is much to do if I'm to help you all gain your freedom. Show me to your command center." ------------- Post word count: 784 Total word count: 3897 |

O'Ryan stood in the hidden room of the repair shop with John, Alex, Medusa, and the rest of the leaders of the rebellion against the tyrant Lord Varigon Samdil. At O'Ryan's request, Rachel was sitting in on the meeting, but this was only approved if she agreed to stay by the door as a guard so no one disturbed the meeting. After the introductions were made, the group got to business. It took a little doing on O'Ryan's part to get everyone to trust him, but he didn't mind it. These Rebels were between a rock and a hard place, and because they couldn't get any contact with anyone else from the outside world, they didn't know who was friend or foe. When O'Ryan finally earned their trust, Medusa pulled a large rolled up map out of a locker and unfurled it on the table that was in the center of the room. "Alright, this is where we are," Medusa began as she pointed at the cove where the port town of Coral had been built. She then moved her finger to the middle of the coastal area on the map and tapped her finger on a large city. The two cities were roughly 10 miles apart from each other. "This is the capital of our nation, the city of New Oceania. It's more of a fortress then a city now though. It is constantly surrounded by platoon upon platoon of Royal Army forces, making it too risky to attack directly. Even if we had the fire power to attack them directly, the whole place is surrounded by turrets that could shred us to bits. All we want to do is to take Lord Samdil off his throne and get that wizard of a Chancellor Yesdr gone. Without them, we would finally have peace. With your help O'Ryan, we can finally do it." O'Ryan sighed and shook his head. "I understand that you want to do a straight attack on them to avoid civilian casualties, but that is a suicidal tactic. What you should to is attempt to weaken them from afar first, then attack the city. Is there a power plant nearby that powers the city?" O'Ryan asked as he studied the map for any territorial advantages. Alex then leaned in and pointed at a structure that was three miles away from the capital city and seven miles away from the town of Coral. "This is the main power plant for all of the nation of New Oceania, but it's a nuclear fusion plant, and it's guarded by at least five of the chancellor's disciples, along with some of the most skilled commandos of the Royal Army. Besides, if during our attack on that thing, and it ends up blowing up, it could level the entire nation of New Oceania. We want to gain our freedom, not our destruction." Alex stated as he used his finger to draw an invisible circle around the entire nation of New Oceania. "I'm not proposing we destroy it, just capture it. Leave that to me and a handful of people that I want to take with me. Once we conquer the power plant and cut power to the city, have your people attack the city of New Oceania. My team will circle around behind the city and attack it from there. I'll handle the Chancellor and any disciples there while my team takes out Samdil." O'Ryan stated as he traced with his finger the path that his team will be taking from Coral to the power plant, then finally to the back of the city where a large building labeled 'royal palace' was located. "Um... how to you plan to get through the walls there? Not all of us can fly like you can, and the walls are thickest there. How do you intend to get through those walls without killing a bunch of civilians that live around the palace?" John said, giving O'Ryan a 'are you nuts' look. In response, O'Ryan grabbed a pencil, put the point on the map just behind the capital city, and used it to poke a hole in the map. He then slid the pencil through the hole and poked another hole out through the center of the palace. "I won't be going through the wall... I'll be going under it." O'Ryan stated, and this idea made Medusa smile. "Of course... now I understand. The entire rebellion army is actually a decoy, while the real attack actually starts in the heart of the palace, where the defenses are at their weakest. Brilliant." Medusa commented, then looked back up at O'Ryan. "Whom do you want in your attack squad?" "I would like Alex to come with me, and he can choose just how many come with us. However, I would like to request that private Rachel comes with us as well?" O'Ryan replied, and this caused Rachel, whom was ease dropping on this, to look up at them all, a bit stunned. "What? You want me to come with you?" Rachel asked, her voice shaking a bit. "I do. You'll understand why as we're traveling to the power station. Alex, get your men ready." ------------- Post word count: 866 Total word count: 4763 |

With the meeting over, John went back into the repair shop to do as many repairs as he could to the Rocket Truck before Alex was finished gathering his commandos. At his first look at the Rocket Truck however, John's shoulders slumped downwards as he shook his head in annoyance. "Argh... he had that rookie Rachel driving again, didn't he? I told him several times, Rachel is a lousy driver and can't dodge bullets! It's like she drives right into them! I'm not gonna bother with repairing these armor plates, I'm just gonna replace them all. I"m just glad that the turret wasn't damaged at all. All it needs is to be reloaded." John said as he talked to himself while he started to do repairs to the Rocket Truck. Meanwhile, Alex started to move around the port town of Coral, looking for the best rebel troops he could count on. Since this was going to be one of the most dangerous operation that he had ever attempted, Alex was taking extra care in whom he picked, so he was going to take a while. Medusa in the mean time was contacting all of the rebel cells throughout the coastal nation of New Oceania, telling them about the events that just happened and what they had planned in order to finally gain their freedom from Lord Varigon Samdil and his Chancellor. "That's right, it's just as I said. This person, O'Ryan as he calls himself, had managed to destroy the entire Royal Navy fleet of warships within three minutes, and he did it with his bare hands. He then took an explosive tank shell to the back and survived without a scratch... yes, I did take a look at where he was hit. His white robe has a gaping hole in it now... no, he's not human, he's an android with powers similar to the chancellor and has this amber colored aura around him sometimes... what?! A being like that saved an entire cruise liner from a storm a week ago? Maybe he was telling the truth then when he said that he was built for the purpose of protecting those that can't defend themselves... so you'll get all of your forces ready to attack soon? That's good to hear. I'll tell O'Ryan this when I see him before he leaves... what's he doing now? He's talking with Private Rachel. I don't know what he wants with her. It's like he sees something in her… no, I don’t know what he sees, but it has to be something important for her to get attention like that." Medusa communicated over a head set radio. On the edge of the port town, O’Ryan was talking with Rachel in a place where no one else could hear them. "You wanted to talk to me in private, Mr. O’Ryan?” the young rebel asked, nervous about talking to someone so powerful when she was basically a klutz compared to other soldiers and rebels. ”Yes Rachel, and please just call me O’Ryan. I have no use for a title. As for why I want to talk to you, it’s a little hard to explain. You see, every life form in this universe has what is known as a power level. A stronger person has a higher power level. I have something called a built in scouter that has been built into my eyes that allows me to detect other life forms and see how high their power level is. Now, despite the fact that Alex is a war hero, his power level is rather low, but I’m not surprised by this because he is a soldier, and not a warrior. You, on the other hand… your power level is actually a bit higher then normal.” O’Ryan said to Rachel as his built in scouter started to scan Rachel with great detail. "I have a higher then normal power level? What does that mean?” Rachel asked as fear became evident in her voice. ”It means that you were born with a high potential to be a warrior, or you’ve received some sort of training that you’ve been keeping secret from everyone else. I’m not accusing you of anything Rachel. I’m just trying to figure out what is going on, that’s all.” O’Ryan stated in a calm and gentle tone. He wasn’t trying to scare this young woman at all. O’Ryan was just looking for someone he could trust to follow him to the capital city when he leaves a portion of the commandos behind at the power plant to protect it. However, Rachel’s reaction to this simple question was nothing that O’Ryan could’ve predicted. The woman was silent for a moment, then a tear welled up in her eye. Confused, O’Ryan approached Rachel to see if she was hurt at all, only to have the rookie rebel fling herself at him and bury her face into his chest. ”Rachel? What is it?” "I… I did get some training. At… at a young age I… I was kidnapped by one of the Chancellor’s disciples. The Chancellor started to forcefully train me in the arts of combat and the manipulation of something called ‘ki.’ I was the only female that the Chancellor ever trained, so I was looked down at from the rest of his disciples. When I was older, they… they… used me to… to...” Rachel sobbed, and couldn’t go on. O’Ryan was stunned. He didn’t expect this at all. Still, he managed to wrap his arms around her in an attempt to comfort her, but he wasn’t sure if he could. After a moment, Rachel had calmed down enough to continue telling O’Ryan her story. "About 2 years ago… I… I managed to use the Chancellor’s training to escape. I was much smaller then everyone else, so I could slip through the bars in the windows and escape. I… I know how to sense people, along with creating a small ki blast when I punch someone. I can also launch very weak balls of energy, but that’s all I can do.” Rachel said between sobs. She then looked up at O’Ryan, her moist green eyes gazing into O’Ryan’s lifeless amber eyes. "Are you going to kill me?” ”No. I want to help you learn how to use this power so you can help me protect everyone.” "You… what?” ”I’m going to teach you how to focus your power so you can protect these people. Once you all have your freedom, there will still be a few survivors that will still be loyal to the Chancellor and Lord Samdil, and I can’t stay here to protect everyone from them. I have to make sure that there will be someone here that can protect them all… and I want it to be you.” O’Ryan said, and Rachel was unable to speak. ”I’ll show you how to focus your power when you’re ready, but feel free to refuse to be the protector if you don’t think you can handle it. Alex is just as capable, but he has no training in this area of combat at all, yet you do. Think it over. You have till I leave to decide.” O’Ryan said, then looked up from Rachel to see Alex approaching with a small group of armed rebels following him. It was time for the battle to begin. -------------- Post word count: 1,228 Total word count: 5,991 |

After some preparation, the rebels that were inside the port town of Coral were going to be ready to move out. A large group of them, lead by Medusa, were heading towards a location where the rest of the rebellion forces were planning on meeting. The plan was for those rebels to gather, get fully coordinated, then begin a long range bombardment on the Royal Army forces that were guarding the gates to draw them away from the gates. The Royal Army will try to attack the army of rebels, only to leave the capital city less defended so O'Ryan's team would have better chance at reaching the back wall of the city. While the main rebel force was preparing at the port town, O'Ryan, Rachel, and Alex's commandos were fully prepared and were starting to move out. Alex was on the rocket turret of the Rocket Truck with one of his most skilled drivers behind the wheel of the truck. Following the truck was a Humvee with a 50mm turret, and there were four commandos in that vehicle. O'Ryan would be flying high above so there wouldn't be any surprise attacks, and Rachel would be driving around on her motorcycle. She, Alex, and O'Ryan were wearing head phones with microphones so they could communicate with each other. It wasn't long before the small squad of commandos were quickly making their way across the coastal areas towards the power plant. When they were about half way though, O'Ryan's built in scouter detected approaching life forms that were humanoid, and one of them had a power level of 400. What's more was that they were all flying. "Alex, Rachel, I'm detecting several Royal Army troops coming towards us on the wing, and they have a disciple with them. I'm going to break off and stop them. You two keep going and I'll catch up to you. This shouldn't take me long at all." O'Ryan said as he broke off and started to fly as fast as he could towards the approaching enemies. With the aid of his power fly ability, O'Ryan had quickly closed in on what looked like at least 15 helicopters. O'Ryan smiled, and simply flew close by to each one of them at full speed. The turbulence that he was creating as he flew by caused every single helicopter to spin in the air, fall, and crashed to the ground. When the disciple crawled out of one of the wrecks, she was met by O'Ryan's booted heel. Not wanting to waste anymore time, O'Ryan took off and headed towards the power plant at full speed. ---------------- Post word count: 437 Total word count: 6428 |

While O'Ryan was busy making mints meat of the wave of helicopters that had been sent to do an air borne attack on the port town of Coral, Alex, Rachel, and the rest of the commandos reached the power plant. Surrounding the power plant were four tanks, and that was all that was visible. Suspecting a trap, Alex directed everyone to stay back a ways so he could figure out what to do. "Rachel, that... odd feeling you keep getting when ever we're near a disciple?" Alex asked as he set the rocket turret to target the four tanks only so he could launch four missiles at once and destroy them all in one blow. Rachel sat still for a moment with her eyes closed, then opened her eyes. "I... I do feel at least three disciples." Rachel replied as she got off her motorcycle and cracked her knuckles as she prepared herself for a battle. At the mention that she could sense several disciples at once though, Alex gave her a puzzled look. "Since when could you feel more then one person?" "O'Ryan taught me how to focus this... feeling on our way over here over the radio. He also taught me a unique way of fighting, but I don't know why." Rachel said as she turned away from Alex so he couldn't see her eyes. That way, it was harder for him to tell that she was lying to him right through her teeth. Before Alex could ask her about anything else though, an amber colored being of ki energy darted past the rebel commandos, zipped up to the nearest tank... and flipped it over with the barrel facing away from the power plant. By the time any of the commandos had noticed O'Ryan was nearby, the android took out the rest of the tanks in a similar manner. Good, he thought, I was able to get here in time to disable the tanks before Alex got trigger happy. Couldn't he tell that the tanks were close enough to the power plant that blowing them up would cause damage to the power plant?? Doesn't matter though. I need to take those three disciples out before they choose to blow up the plant too. O'Ryan thought as he darted into the power plant. When ever a worker saw O'Ryan, they quickly surrendered and followed his instructions and began to stop the flow of power to the capital city. While the workers were doing this, O'Ryan managed to find the first disciple, and he managed to take him out quickly with a quick blow to the back of the neck. As O'Ryan quickly moved to the second disciple, he could hear a commotion outside, and it didn't sound good at all. However, O'Ryan did find the second disciple and took him down with ease. When O'Ryan managed to rush outside, he could see what the commotion was: the third disciple had somehow managed to sneak passed O'Ryan, and was now in a battle with Rachel. The young woman was holding her own, but the disciple clearly had the advantage... but then again, Rachel wasn't using any of her ki techniques. "O'Ryan! Give me a hand! I can't hold him!" the woman shouted as she ducked under a ki blast while trying to keep her distance from the disciple. "Rachel, stop holding back. Your going to have to take him out for us to move on. This is your battle! O'Ryan said as he kept his distance from the fight. He didn't want to leave her on a limb like this, but Rachel needed to believe in herself if she was going to protect everyone in New Oceania when O'Ryan left to find the rest of the Rukotoian race. As O'Ryan's words sank in, Rachel ducked under another attack by the disciple, then jumped towards him with her fist pulled back. When they were about to collide, Rachel threw the punch, followed by a small blast of ki energy when her fist hit the disciple's chest. A blast punch. The hit knocked the disciple right off his feet and on to the ground. Before he could get up, Rachel landed another blast punch on him, this time in the head, finishing him off. Panting hard, Rachel slowly climbed to her feet, then turned around on her heel to face O'Ryan when she heard him applauding. "See? You can do it. Well done." ------------- Post word count: 741 Total word count: 7169 |

At first, Rachel wasn't sure how to react to O'Ryan applauding her victory. It was the first time anyone said she did a good job on the battlefield... heck, it was the first time anyone congratulated her on anything since she managed to escape from the Chancellor. After a moment though, a warm fuzzy feeling started to build up in her chest, causing a little bit of flush to build up on her cheeks. Wanting to hide it, Rachel quickly turned around and started to walk towards her motorcycle, only to have Alex and the rest of the commandos see the flush, and every single one of them gave her a double take. However, she wasn't sure if it was for the flush that was on her cheeks, or if it was for her taking out a disciple all on her own. One thing was for sure though, she was feeling a bit more confident. Shaking his head, Alex pushed the memory of Rachel sending the disciple flailing across the ground into the back of his mind and walked over to O'Ryan. "Alright, so now what do we do?" the former Royal Army hero asked the approaching android. "We leave some of the commandos here to protect the power plant while we head towards the capital city with all speed. I'll zoom ahead first so I can get rid of some of the defenses on the back wall and then start digging our entrance into the main palace. See you in a bit!" O'Ryan said to Alex, then turned to Rachel. "Make sure that you're not left behind." the android stated as he took off for the skies and headed for the capital city of New Oceania. Alex nodded as O'Ryan left, then got back onto the turret of the Rocket Truck. "All commandos in the Hummer are to stay here. Rachel, lets go." Alex commanded as the Rocket Truck started its engine and headed for the capital city with Rachel following close behind. Back with the main rebel forces, Medusa was watching the main gate with a pair of binoculars, watching for any signs of power loss. She didn't have to wait long, for mainly of the auto-firing turrets that lined the walls around the city started to shut down. This was evident because of the fact that all of the barrels were dropping downwards under their own weight, and the missile turrets were aiming straight up because of how heavy the tail assembly was. With a smile, Medusa picked up her radio and called in to the rest of the leaders of the rebel forces. "We're a go. I've confirmed that the city is losing power. Begin next phase of the attack." she said into the mike that was attached to her wrist. Moments later, a whole platoon of jeeps, a handful of tanks, and another three Rocket Trucks started to move towards the city to get in range for a long range bombardment. ----------- Post word count: 496 Total word count: 7665 |

Inside the palace, Lord Varigon Samdil and his Chancellor were in the throne room, reviewing the latest rebel activity report in all of the nation of New Oceania. "So... the rebels that were around the town of Rippletin have all been put down? Excellent. Then we can resume the flow of trade from West City to Rippletin. My garrison has been running low on supplies, and the townsfolk can't 'spare' anymore supplies for them. Make sure that the garrison is fully resupplied before any is distributed to the rest of the town." Samdil said as he placed his seal on the orders, making them official. Chancellor Yesdr nodded in approval, then pulled a rolled up note from his black cape and placed it on the table when a servant removed the sealed orders. "My Lord Samdil, some of my disciples have found possible recruits that have enough power to destroy a village with a single thought, once they are properly trained. Shall I send for them my Lord?" the Chancellor asked in his normal snake like tone. Samdil chuckled as he nodded. "You have no need to ask permission for that my friend. You could take this whole nation under your wing if you wanted too. Just be sure that you leave one behind someone that I can use as a foot rest." Samdil joked, and the two of them laughed out loud. The crude humor was brought to a halt when several servants rushed in, each carrying a report. "What is this interruption? None of you have been announced!" Samdil roared as he jumped up from his chair. All the servants begged for forgiveness as they presented their messages. Samdil smiled evilly at Yesdr, who responded by firing a beam ball at each servant, killing them all instantly when they were all hit between the eyes. Several guards walked over to clean up the mess, but one of the guards stopped and picked up one of the open letters when he saw something strange in it. The moment he started reading it, his hands began to shake. "Yes?" Samdil asked the guard with his hand out, demanding the letter. Hands still shaking, the guard handed the note to Samdil. Samdil gave it one glance, and quickly crumbled it in his hands. "The entire force sent to Coral was annihilated?!" the lord boomed in an enraged tone. Yesdr picked up another letter from the floor and read it. "The rebels are massing an army, and are marching towards this very city." the chancellor said after reading the letter. "This means that I can just kill what ever caused all of this when they arrive here." the chancellor stated as he started to head out of the throne room. Before he could make it to the door, all of the lights suddenly went dead, and the room was pitch black. Yesdr created an aura of sickly green ki energy around him to provide some light, but it wasn't enough. "What in the Devil's name is happening?! Get that secondary power plant within the city powered up and get it started!" Samdil roared, and a soldier that was carrying a flashlight quickly rushed off. Yesdr was about to say something when both he and Samdil noticed that an amber glow started to come through the wall to the far side of the throne room. Before either of them could react, there was an energy blast that sent several stone blocks hurling through the air, leaving a gaping hole in the wall. "What's going on? I'm not sensing anything!" the chancellor bellowed as he shielded his eyes from the dust. When he lowered his arm, a being with glowing amber eyes and an amber aura of ki energy emerged from the hole. "Hi honey, I'm home!" ------------ Post word count: 633 Total word count: 8298 |

Yesdr and Samdil just blankly stared at O'Ryan, unable to absorb what had just happened. First, they received several letters saying that the rebels from the port town of Coral, a backwater town with no possible way of paying for new weapons, new equipment, or supplies, had somehow managed to take on both the Royal Army forces and Royal Navy fleet that had them out numbered, out gunned, and out equipped... and yet somehow managed to destroy both forces utterly and completely, including the disciple that had been sent to lead the assault on the port town. Second, the power for the entire palace, no, the entire city of New Oceania, was suddenly cut out with no warning what so ever, and the garrison that was at the power plant was very skilled and heavily armed, so it was beyond both of their imaginations that something wrong was going on there. Last, but not least, one single person had managed to dig his way under the wall, into the palace, and right into the throne room where Yesdr and Samdil were both located. Samdil was the first one to come to his senses as he examined all of his guards in the room. O'Ryan was an unmissable target because he was so close and he was surrounded in an aura of amber ki energy that made him stick out like a sore thumb. "What are you waiting for?! Open fire! Kill this traitor who dares enter my throne room!" Samdil shouted, and the guards were happy to oblige. They couldn't figure out what to do, so they followed the orders that were given to them directly. Every single guard opened fire on O'Ryan, and the android didn't even flinch... mainly because he didn't need to. The bullets all bounced off of O'Ryan's outer frame, and didn't even scratch his synthetic skin. With a sigh, O'Ryan increased his power output to the maximum, resulting in his amber colored aura of ki energy to overpowering Yesdr's sickly green aura of ki energy. I was right to head towards the largest power level here. Yesdr has a power level of 10,000 so he will be a bit of a challenge, but not impossible to beat. I'm still stronger then him by a lot. O'Ryan thought as he started to walk forward towards Yesdr as he launched several beam balls at the guards, hitting their weapons so they couldn't shoot Rachel or Alex when they arrived, whom O'Ryan's built in scouter was currently detecting. All the guards fled, leaving O'Ryan alone with Yesdr and Samdil. Finally, Yesdr snapped out of it and charged at O'Ryan. "I'll handle this abomination, my Lord! The approaching weaklings are no match for you!" the Chancellor shouted as he collided with O'Ryan. The two warriors quickly began a heated battle that quickly went through the ceiling, several floors, and up into the sky. When sunlight started to pour into the throne room, Rachel and Alex finally arrived, and were face to face with Samdil. "I have a message for you from the rebellion. The message is this: we are free." Alex said as he aimed his automatic rifle at Samdil and fired. -------------- Post word count: 533 Total word count: 8831 |

As the bullets were launched out of the barrel and headed towards Samdil, time seemed to slow down for Rachel as she watched the small bits of spinning lead cutting through the sound barrier and hurled towards their mark... only to be stopped when Samdil did the impossible... he side stepped the bullets just when they were inches from his chest. Every single round fired from Alex's rifle harmlessly flew past their intended target and embedded themselves into the wall on the other side of the throne room. Rachel tried to lift her arm to fire a beam ball at Samdil, but her own movements were just as slow as the rest of the room around her. The moment the last bullet hit, time seemed to return to normal, resulting in Rachel lifting her arm too far upwards when she fired her beam ball, and it went over Samdil's head, and he didn't even need to duck. The dictator just shook his head and sighed. "Were those your best shots? Let me show you mine..." the dictator snarled as he fired an energy blast out of both hands, one was aimed for Alex and the other was aimed for Rachel. Fearing that Alex wouldn't survive the attack, Rachel pushed her commanding officer out of the way and put herself in between Alex and the incoming ki blasts... and was hit with both attacks in the shoulders. The attacks knocked her right off her feet and flat on her back. With a groan, Rachel slowly sat up. "The Chancellor... he's been training you too..." Rachel muttered weakly, and Samdil nodded as he drew a katana out from behind his throne and walked towards Rachel with it, aiming to finish her off with a beheading. Meanwhile, O'Ryan and the Chancellor were exchanging blows right and left, while ki techniques were being launched constantly. Several times O'Ryan launched a barrage of beam balls, and the Chancellor would fire his own beam balls downwards and canceled out O'Ryan's attack. O'Ryan charged upwards at the Chancellor, and the Chancellor met him half way, and the two of them were soon caught in a very intense brawl. Now, O'Ryan wasn't worried about the Chancellor overpowering him. Quite the contrary, O'Ryan was slowly starting to overpower the Chancellor. What was getting O'Ryan worried was the Chancellor's speed. Most of the Chancellor's training must have gone into building up his speed, because he was avoiding getting overpowered by O'Ryan through the act of running circles around the android. This was even worse during the grapple, because the Chancellor could punch O'Ryan one moment, and have enough time to pull that same arm back and block O'Ryan's attack with that arm. Soon, O'Ryan was fully on the defensive, trying to block the Chancellor's onslaught of punches, and O'Ryan was having quite a bit of trouble at it. Then, as if something had blocked O'Ryan's vision, the Chancellor's foot came out of no where and nailed O'Ryan in the stomach, which threw O'Ryan downwards towards the city a ways before the android caught him. O'Ryan looked up at the Chancellor and glared at his speedy opponent. "I've had enough of this. Time to have some fun." the Chancellor stated as he started lobbing beam balls in every direction, and they were all heading towards the city. "Stop this!!" O'Ryan cried as he started to dart all over the place, shooting his own beam balls to destroy some of the Chancellor's beam balls, but several times he had to use himself as a human shield, or in this case, an android shield, to stop some of the beam balls he could stop with a beam ball of his own. Using this tactic, The Chancellor forced O'Ryan to throw himself into several ki attacks. With an angry snarl, O'Ryan looked up at the Chancellor... and froze. If O'Ryan had a heart, it would've skipped a beat. The Chancellor was holding two ki energy balls, one green, and one blue. He combined the two, creating a very large red ki energy ball. The red ki ball then grew larger as the Chancellor charged it. "Stop this attack if you can!" the Chancellor shouted as he launched a powerful red beam out of the ball. A fusion beam! O'Ryan realized as he darted after the beam, hoping to get ahead of it to stop it from hitting the city. ----------- Post word count: 735 Total word count: 9566 |

As O'Ryan used his power fly ability to get ahead of the Fusion Beam, his built in scouter beeped at him, telling him that something had changed in the battle between Samdil and the two rebels, Alex and Rachel. The life signs of all three individuals expanded in the bottom left corner of O'Ryan's field of vision. Oh no... Rachel's life signs are dropping fast, and Samdil's power level has jumped to 5,000. I'm not sure if she can handle that. But, I can't help them. I have to stop that murdering psychopath of a Chancellor first! O'Ryan thought as he began to use his speed teleport ability to teleport passed the Fusion Beam, and allowing him to get far ahead of it. O'Ryan's plan was to stop the Fusion Beam attack with his Omega Cannon technique. O'Ryan wanted to deflect it since that would be far faster, but the Chancellor had charged it, making it impossible to deflect... it was just too strong. Soon, O'Ryan stopped speed teleporting and turned around to being using his Omega Cannon. :Analyzing... current location isn't sufficient for blocking the Fusion Beam. The radius of the ball of energy when the two techniques collide will be very large. At this range, the O'Ryan unit will get caught within the collision range.: O'Ryan groaned out loud as he speed teleported even lower. I guess you do have your uses, even if you are annoying! Inside the palace, Rachel was slowly getting to her feet as Samdil approched her with his katana in hand. "So, you do have some fight left in you after that, eh? Well, lets see if you can beat me!" Samdil said as he gave Alex a round house kick to the head as he tried to aim his grenade launcher at Samdil. Alex hit the floor, and he wasn't moving. It was hard to tell if he was still alive or not. With a moan, Rachel stood up and looked at Samdil with distaste. "To think... I once called you brother...." Rachel moaned as she began to focus her ki into a single point within her body, and an aura of violet ki energy started to form around Rachel's body as she powered up. She then raised her fists and spread her feet wider apart so she would have better balance. "Come and get me if you can!" Samdil taunted as he swung the katana at Rachel, who ducked under it and quickly Blast Punched Samdil in the jaw, forcing him back a little bit, but only a little. "So, you wanna play rough. I'm fine with that." O'Ryan stopped his rapid teleporting spree when he was just above the rooftops of the city, then turned around to face the on coming blast. He brought his hand up in front of his face, then quickly curled it into a fist as his forearm and fist started to glow with red ki energy. As O'Ryan pulled his arm back, white ki energy gathered around his forearm and hand. "Omega Cannon... FIRE!" the android shouted as he forced his fist forwards and fired a red beam encased by a white beam out of his fist. The Omega Cannon and the Fusion Beam hit each other dead on, and the beams were now trying to over power each other... and the Fusion Beam was winning from the start. As the Fusion Beam closed in on O'Ryan, the android spread his feet apart and gripped his extended arm's elbow to for support. I'm not going to lose like this. I can't let all of these people die! O'Ryan thought as he poured ALL of his ki energy into the Omega Cannon, causing the beam to become gigantic. O'Ryan's Omega Cannon quickly over powered the Chancellor's Fusion Beam and hurled towards the evil man. "NO!!" the Chancellor screamed as the Omega Cannon engulfed him... and vaporized him. O'Ryan stopped firing, and cradled his now smoking right arm in his left arm, which was fully intact. I can't stop and check for damage now though. Rachel needs help. There's no way she can stop the Chancellor even with Alex's help! O'Ryan thought as he flew towards the palace as fast as he could... but he was worried that he might be too late, for one of the life signs had just vanished, and O'Ryan's built in scouter was having trouble telling who it was that just died. ------------- Post word count: 740 Total word count: 10306 |

As O'Ryan rushed into the palace through the hole in the ceiling that he and the Chancellor made, the android had managed to arrive just in time to see Samdil fall backwards with half of a katana blade sticking out of his chest. The other half was still in his hand. O'Ryan looked up at Rachel, who was about to collapse onto the floor. She was covered in slashes and cuts from the battle, and had lost a lot of blood. Before she could fall though, O'Ryan caught her and slowly laid her down on a clean part of the floor. To keep her head off the floor, O'Ryan took off his white robe, rolled it up, and placed it on the floor for Rachel to use it as a pillow. "Take it easy Rachel. You'll be alright. You just have to hang on." O'Ryan said as he started to use his built in scouter to scan all of her injuries to see if there were any that were life threatening. Luckily, there wasn't one that was deadly. "I know. I'll be fine. But... how's Alex?" Rachel asked, her voice clearly labored. Before O'Ryan could check, the two of them heard a moan as Alex grasped his head as he slowly sat up. "Uuuh... what a headache. Note to self: get off the booze. The hangovers aren't worth this." the war hero said quietly, but just loud enough for O'Ryan and Rachel to hear him. The two warriors looked at each other, then back at Alex, then they both erupted with laughter. A few hours later, O'Ryan stood over Rachel as she rested in a hospital bed. The battle had ended in victory. Without Samdil or the Chancellor leading them, the Royal Army forces fell to pieces and quickly surrendered when O'Ryan had vaporized the Chancellor over the city where everyone could see it happen. Rachel was looking up at O'Ryan and smiling. "Thank you O'Ryan. I don't think I could have stopped him from killing Alex if it wasn't for your help in getting my confidence up." Rachel said in a sad tone. O'Ryan could tell that she was grieving for someone, but he wasn't sure who. "You're welcome. I'm glad I was able to help all of you. I'll be leaving soon, so I came to say goodbye." O'Ryan said, and Rachel slowly nodded. "I understand. I just want you to know one thing though, and that is I accept. I'll protect the nation of New Oceania with my life. I swear it." Rachel said as she lifted her hand to shake O'Ryan's, and the android accepted the handshake happily. "Good. I don't think I could leave this nation in the protective care of anyone better then you." O'Ryan said, then slowly let go of Rachel's hand. "Take care of yourself." Rachel called out as O'Ryan walked away. "Same goes for you." the android called back as he stepped out of an open window and flew up into the sky. --------------- Post word count: 502 Total word count: 10808 |
