Trust Because Guru is the creator of the Dragonballs, you are going to have to take one of them from him. This Dragonballs sits high atop Guru's throne and so you cannot simply sneak it out from under him. Because Guru has enlisted the security efforts of several elite Namekian warriors, fighting him for it is also not an option. You are going to have to somehow convince him that the Dragonball will be safe with you and you are worthy of its power. Minimum Posts: 4 Minimum Words Per Post: 300 |

Goku Junior landed at the base of Guru’s Plateau. He sighed as he looked up at the brilliant Namekian temple. How could he possibly convince the Great Elder to give him the Dragonball. He was told that he wouldn’t be able to fight his way out of this particular situation and that left little hope for the warrior child. “So, I got to talk him into it… Great,” he said under his breath before starting his ascension up the steep blue slope. Fighting was his talent, one of his only. He wasn’t very good at speaking; often coming off as annoying and imaginative. Also, by various people, he was told that often he was loud and rude and reckless. Goku didn’t think so though. He was happy with who he was, a hybrid; the best of two races. He enjoyed laughing out loud and being care free. Things were much more simple that way. It had been weeks, actually a month, since the young Saiyan had departed from his second Namekian master. Goku trained for four consecutive weeks with the legendary Elder. He learned so much in his time there and gained a tremendous amount of strength. Guru seemed fond of the youngster, at least most of the time. The Elder was intrigued by the mixed breed child and the fact that despite his Saiyan heritage, the boy was a gentle and peace-loving child. The great master knew that the boy intended to do no bad will against the planet, but when it came to the Dragonballs, Goku was going to have to do some smooth talking. His reasons were strictly selfish. All he wanted to gain was more power. Not in any sort of evil way, in fact, it was the complete opposite. Goku only wanted the power to use for good. He was aware of the massive levels of evil energy and was destined to stop them. But, how could he convince Guru of that? WC: 327 |

Goku approached the temple door. It was a huge door and rightly so considering the great Namekian leader’s size. The young Saiyan took a moment to stare upon the beautiful garden that ran throughout the temple courts. He had almost forgotten just how magnificent it really was. Had he really been gone that long? It seemed like ages to the young fight, but in reality it was only a couple of short months. When the Saiyan warrior turned back, facing the doors, he noticed that they were now open. Goku scratched his head and pondered it, but only for a second. He brushed it off with a shrug of the shoulders then started in. It wasn’t the first time, since he had arrived on this planet, that doors just magically opened by themselves. It seemed like the thing to do on Namek. Or, perhaps it was just some cruel joke they could play on strangers; confusion every which way they turned. Goku was starting to dread this planet. It’s heat, it’s smell, the people! Everything was irking the young fighter and he didn’t know why. Every day, as of late, things gradually got worse and worse every day. He could feel a blackness inside him growing strong. At any given time, for no apparent reason, the little fighter would lash out rudely and strive to kill. It was not at all what he had been taught by any of his masters; especially Guru. The worst part of it all was that, at times, he actually liked it. “H…Hello,” Goku called out with one hand cupped at the side of his mouth. There was no reply, just echoes bouncing off of the empty corridor walls. Junior was beginning to wonder what was going on. At the end of the long walkway he could see the elder sitting in his chair, but where were the guards. On any other day they would be swarming about the place. Usually they would slip in and out of the white stone pylons ever so cautious of the child. Why were things so calm, he wondered. Goku couldn’t help but come to one conclusion in his mind. “The calm before the storm!” WC: 366 |

“You’re exactly right,” replied Kizu. Just at that moment he appeared in front of Goku. Junior stepped back a few feet. Mind reading, it was yet another annoying ability that some Namekians possessed. Goku shook his head back and forth rapidly and wiped his eyes, “What’s wrong with me?” Kizu scoffed and lunged forward and attacked with his razor sharp nails. Goku could hear the sharp talon’s slicing through the air as they approached. Luckily for the boy, he had already been through it with this guy before. Junior quickly sprang out of the way and launched into the air. He turned several flips before finally land behind the brash body guard. “Take it easy big guy,” Goku muttered as he examined a rip in his clothing. “No! You can leave or prepare to fight,” replied Kizu in a fierce tone. “Sheesh, what’s your deal? I thought we’ve been through this already. Why are you hindering me,” Goku asked. He then turned and began approaching Guru. “I don’t think so,” yelled the green bodyguard while in mid-flight. He landed directly in front of the Saiyan and fixed himself into an attack formation. “I know about your evil intensions and I plan on stopping you! You won’t fool me!” The Halfling boy raised his arms in an x fashion over his face. He arranged the limbs just in time to intercept a smashing punch that was going right for his nose. Goku skidded back a couple of feet, but never lost his footing. A cloud of smoke puffed from the hot rubber on his shoes. The tiny hero dropped his arms, but only to find Kizu missing. The boy closed his eyes and let his senses take over. Whip! Goku instantly snapped around and side stepped a right jab. Stepping in, with his right arm cocked, Junior closed the gap and unleashed a stiff elbow right into Kizu’s gut. Right at the moment of impact, Goku could feel it happening again. His jaw muscles tightened and a fiery rage began to consume him. It was about to take control; vision was blurring! “Stop!” shouted a deep voice from the other end of the room. WC: 363 |

The sound of Guru’s voice echoed throughout the corridor and caused Goku snap out of his trance just in time. The wise old Elder could sense that the young Saiyan was about to deal a fatal blow to his disciple and about to deal it without even thinking twice about what the outcome would be. Goku unclenched his balled up fist and relaxed his muscles. A deep exhale escaped from his lungs as he dropped his guard. Kizu grunted, “but master. It’s not right….” Guru quickly interjected, “I know. I know what is going on. You just have to trust me my son.” Goku’s eyebrows raised high on his forehead, he had no clue what they were talking about. He did know that he was wasting time just standing there though. It was time. He had to ask Guru for the dragonball. But, just as the young fighter began to open his mouth, Guru beat him to the punch. “Goku, my boy…… Come here,” requested the Namekian leader with a smile and a wave. Goku’s opened lips quickly closed tight and so started his path to the wise leader. Junior kept his head down as he approached; trying to find the right words to say to his former master. When the little Saiyan reached the big green guy, he tried to speak again, but just like before he was halted by the words of Guru. “I know why you are here Goku. You want the dragonball right?” he said, still smiling. Goku Junior simply nodded, stunned with amazement. This might actually be easier than he thought. “Just as I thought,” he added right after clearing his throat, “Well, you can have it.” His large green hand reached up above his throne and grabbed the shiny orange orb that rested at the top. The astounded Saiyan looked on in awe at the brilliant ball as it made its way over to him. Goku reached for the dragonball, but Guru teasingly pulled it back a bit. “Wait, there’s something I should tell you first,” the old leader’s eyes narrowed, “I am quite away of the turmoil going on inside of you. Despite overwhelming counsel from my disciples, I am going to bestow upon you the ‘one star ball.’ Use it for good only, as I know you will. And remember good always overcomes in the end.” Goku then received the orb and tucked the massive object under one small arm that it could barely fit under. “Thank you master,” he said with a smile, “I will not disappoint you.” With that, the ecstatic saiyan bowed to his old master and barreled out the door, “Number two, here I come,” he yelled, exiting the temple door.
