Goku Junior followed closely behind his new found friend. They had just secured a nasty victory against the Lockness Monster and were now back on the land once more. The young hero, Goku, blabbed his motor mouth the whole they traveled, but Babosa didn’t seem to mind much anymore. It was obvious that the hangover was wearing off.

Just then, a small metallic contraption washed up onto the shore. Goku, being a curious little boy, walked over to the device and picked it up.

“Mix Master 5,000,” Goku read aloud.

Babosa, who wasn’t paying any attention, instantly snapped his head toward the boy. There was a look of disgust on his face as he stared at the infatuated boy, “What did you just say?”

Junior approached the Namekian and held the blender over his head, “here, look. I found this thingy. It washed up on shore. Do you know what it is?”

The green ally just shook his head, “I guess you’ll just have to find out.”

He added a sneaky little smirk with his comment then continued with his stroll. The little saiyan held his position for a second, still puzzling over the machine. Once he finally realized that Babosa had carried on, he tightly tucked the pina colada maker under his arm the shuffled onward, catching up with his friend.

“Maybe, it’s a time machine that’s been lost for ages,” he muttered as his mind wondered off in millions of directions.

Babosa simply gave a grunt, but Goku wasn’t really paying attention. He was stuck in the imagination of his colorful mind just as happy as could be. He continued to follow his companion until they stopped under a shady blue tree to rest. It was a good thing for both of them. It was the first time all day that they had relaxed since battling the engulfing serpent, and on top of that it was way to freaking hot. The sun was at it highest and a good rest was just what they needed.

Goku plopped down at the base of the mighty plant and fixed his new found contraption at his side. He pressed the button that read start, but all it did was hum. The confused kid scratched his head. “Guess it’s broke,” he thought. Babosa glared down at the strange boy. He knew all to well about the busted machine.

Then the spry little saiyan jumped to his feet with his hand covering over the top of his brow, “Hey look over there!” he shouted, “I see a village! Maybe they can fix this thing. Wanna see?” He looked to Babosa with his eyes full of excitement. It was a wonder if anyone could truly deny such a pure hearted young man any request.

"No". Babosa didn't care if the Saiyan boy was almost irresistible in his appearance and excited manner, he wasn't having it. Guru told him to relax and that was what he was going to do. While he was thankful to Goku for the save on the sea serpent, Babosa made a connection between Goku and a few things.

His first encounter with the boy ended up with a lot of yelling and surprise attacks from the boy (including a bite on his arm). In this situation, he saw Goku immediately after he got attacked by the sea serpent and assumed he was the reason why it attacked him, not knowing it was his own fault due to his reckless abandonment of the pina colada making machine Goku now carried.

With these thoughts in mind, Babosa came to the conclusion that the boy was just a natural magnet for danger and action. In any other case, he'd love to get into a fight to improve himself, but here he had a different goal.

"Awwwww, please?" Goku asked again.

"Not a chance. It's nice under this tree. I might decide to take a nap under it or something" Babosa answered, firm on his decision to stay put and out of action. Goku opened his mouth to say something else, but Babosa acted quickly. Before a word could be uttered, he ripped his own ears off and tossed them a few yards away.

Grinning as he could no longer hear Goku, at least that loudly, Babosa shut his eyes and settled himself into place for a quick nap. Almost a full minute passed by with nothing disturbing Babosa, until he felt pressure on his arm. He ignored it at first, but he felt it again. Then again. And again once more. It just kept applying itself.

Cracking an eye open, Babosa saw the half-saiyan poking him, still talking about something. Sighing, Babosa regenerated his ears and looked at Goku. "You're not going to leave me be until I follow you to the village, are you?"

"Not a chance!" Goku replied quickly, a happy and energetic grin spread across his youthful face.

Conceding to the young boy's request, Babosa got back up. At the very least, there may be an actual bed in the village he could use to get a nice nap. Goku jumped to his feet and took the lead, excited to see if he could get the machine fixed, even if it was only meant to make the delicious, yet dangerous pina coladas.

Goku darted toward the quaint little village. His arms were filled by his newly found, shiny metal box that caused him to run with an awkward stride. The happy child ran to the first Namekian he saw and approached him with a warming smile. The green being was a man that was young in age, but not a child. The stranger raised a curious eyebrow in regards to the boy’s peculiar actions.

“May I help you,” he asked in a polite tone; not sure why there was a human boy standing in front of him with a giant metallic box. “The human’s just keep getting weirder and weirder,” he thought.

Goku still bouncing with all the excitement of a boy holding a new toy, replied, “Yes sir…. Indeed. You see, I have this shiny cube with buttons. I found it on the shore! But, when I press the buttons, all it does it growl at me,” he illustrated a silly face to accompany the buzzing he made.

“Do you know how to fix this?”

The Namek’s eyes grew wide as he absorbed the flutter of words, “I guess I could check it out,” he said, shrugging his shoulders.

Junior smile even bigger than before and slowly presented the device to the man with starry eyes. The unknown being received the blender and raised it to eye level; inspecting every side of the “Mix Master Five Thousand.”

Eventually, Babosa strolled up. His palm hit his forehead and his head shook as it turned towards the ground, “Oh, brother,” he said, under his breath.”

“I’m sorry about this my brother,” Babosa said aloud to his fellow Namekian, “I just met this kid and I’m not sure if he has any manners.” His intense eye’s glared down to his little monkey-boy friend.

The nameless green man released a smile and a snicker, “It’s quite alright. I don’t mind,” he said, fidgeting with the machine. “I’m pretty handy with electronics so I thought I would give it a look. But, to be honest, I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. It’s strange. I…..”

The stranger’s words were cut short by a deep vibration below his feet. Goku, gave a strange look at the distracted alien before he too felt the rumbling himself. The little survivor boy dropped to his knees and put his ear to the ground.

“What is it?” asked Babosa with a sharpened look in his eye.

“Something big’s approaching. And fast!” the saiyan replied lifting himself up from the ground. He placed his hand above his brow and peered into the distance. All that could be seen was an enormous mobile cloud of dirt was heading their way.

Just then, a loud crash sounded behind Goku. He turned and looked only to find springs, cogs and metal scattered everywhere. The unknown Namekian tinkerer dropped the pina colada maker and took off running in the opposite direction of the speeding puff.

Goku frowned as he stood over the busted appliance, “Aww, man! What did he do that for? It’s just a cloud of dirt,” he stated with furrowed brows.

The duo watched the fleeing Namekian, leaving his own small cloud of dust as he fled. The Namek was definitely not a warrior, something he practically admitted to when he said he tinkered around a bit, as warriors were too busy training to mess with machines.

Looking back to the approaching cloud, Babosa was met with the sight of a number of his bretheren taking the first Namek's lead, running away from the cloud. "Goku, get ready to fight. My people wouldn't run from something unless they knew it was dangerous"

"Right!" the young Saiyan boy chirped, giving a mock salute to his Namekian friend. Goku's little goofing off was cut when a shrill cry pierced the air. Both fighters reacted immediately, rushing to the source.

It just so happened that the origin of the cry was a young Namekian boy who was on the outskirts of the village, closest to the approaching dust cloud. The boy was pinned to the ground by some sort of dinosaur like creature, very close to a raptor in appearance. It was blue with two antenna set above its eyes.

The raptor was snapping at the young Namek's head, missing only by inches each time as the boy struggled to dodge predator's attacks. Then, the raptor made another move that the boy wasn't going to be able to dodge. Purple blood spurted as the raptors fangs sank into Namekian flesh. The creature's eyes almost rolled back into its head as it tasted the delicacy.

"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing?"

The creature snapped back to attention as it looked down, and realized it hadn't sunk its fangs into the boy's cranium. Rather, its teeth were now lodged in Babosa's arm.

Before the creature made a move to kill Babosa, Goku flew it, slamming a foot into its neck. The force of the impact was able to sever the head from the body, granting a swift death... and slightly humorous one as the creatures eyes were locked in a widened position of surprised.

"Biting people isn't nice! Don't do it!" Goku scolded the already dead raptor. The, turning to the Namekian boy, he asked "Hey, are you alright?".

The boy nodded, slightly shocked at the fact that he was saved by Babosa (who was now removing the head from his arm) and saw Junior kill the raptor with one blow. Giving a small, comforting smile to the young boy, Babosa said "Don't worry, lets return to your village and-... Wait a second!"

Spinning on his heel to face Goku, a look of mild anger and annoyance on his face, Babosa shouted "What are you talking about!? Biting people isn't nice!? You bit me when we first met!"

Goku grinned at his alien ally’s comment, “Yeah, but you were being a butt.” Junior stuck out his tongue to Babosa, then walked over to the little boy. The little saiyan extended his hand to the child and helped him to his feet.

“My name is Goku. What’s yours,” he said, pulling the boy up with his hand.”

“Gretik,” replied the small green child before dusting his clothing off.

“Alright, I’m glad you two have properly introduced yourselves! But, we need to get you out of here son!” Babosa sharply interjected.

Goku Junior raised an eyebrow and started to add a comment directed toward his companions grumpiness, but when he turned around to do so, he realized the reason for the Namekians outburst. Surrounding the trio was a small pack of raptor like beasts. Probably the relatives on the one they just destroyed.

There were four dinosaurs all together. Each one with their mouth’s agape and fashioned as if they were all smiling with a maniacal intent. There eye’s were narrowed and focused in on there target. For some reason the target was the child yet again. It was obviously his lack of defense.

Goku, feeling an instant rush of protection surge up inside of him, stepped in front of the child and withdrew his sword. The blade hissed as his pulled from it’s scabbard. The tiny warrior whipped the weapon from his back and steadied it in front of him with both hands clinching the hilt. He dared the creatures to strike and inflamed his body language as to intimidate them. Babosa joined in with the stand and gave a ferocious slice to the air with his razor sharp fingernails.

The threats were to no avail though. The dinosaurs ripped a violent, ear piercing scream and thrashed their meaty heads back and forth. The defending group took a step back in caution and readied themselves for attack.

“Take this,” yelled Goku as he lunged forward; slashing his sword. The anxiety was killing him and he couldn’t wait any longer. With one of the dinosaurs now separated in two, the battle began…..

As soon as Goku fell one of the beasts, the other three made their moves to get to Gretik. Babosa acted quickly to take down the two closest to himself.

While he was far from a scientist, every Namekian knew that most creatures on Namek had antenna, and that all of those creatures were sensitive around the antenna. So grabbing both raptors by the antenna, Babosa pulled their heads back, keeping their fang filled mouths away from Gretik.

Then, while the raptors were stunned with pain, Babosa stabbed his claws through the eye sockets, landing a swift death. While he was proud to have ended these foes quickly, he knew there was still one left.

Turning around, Babosa was relieved to see Goku acting faster than he had. The young Saiyan had already spun on his head, bringing the tip of the blade down through the raptor's snout, pinning it to the ground. Then, while it struggled to break free, he shoved a hand forward and released wave of ki that engulfed the reptilian being, leaving a slightly charred raptor corpse.

"Glad to see we got that over with. How about we head back to the village before we get interrupted again" Babosa suggested. Gretik nodded and Babosa picked him up, deciding it'd be faster to carry the boy than have him follow. "Come on Goku, let's-... what are you doing?"

Babosa and Gretik looked over to see Goku holding up the charred raptor corpse with his sword still lodged in it. There were a few chunks of the raptor missing from its back and Goku was chewing something. "What? I'm hungry, and it's only a little dry"

Gretik laughed lightly, finding it a bit funny, while Babosa's eye twitched. "It's so weird that other species can't survive on water alone". Babosa took off, with Goku close behind, reluctantly abandoning his meal.

During the short flight back, Babosa decided now was the time to start learning things. "Gretik, what were those things? And what was that cloud of dust? Everyone seemed to run away as soon as they saw it"

A look of concern overtook Gretik's face, but he answered the older Namek. "Those were Raptors of the Yellow Valley. They live in Yellow Valley, which is far off and usually don't bother us. But once a year, during their rainy season when the valley floods, they migrate here"

"We usually leave the village before they head here so that they won't eat us, but the rainy season must have started early this year". Looking at the two brave fighters, Gretik said "Please take me and my people away from the village for now. I know you are strong, but that was only a scouting group. The whole pack is much larger and stronger together, even you may be taken down"

Goku's eyes grew big and his smile even bigger. "Larger..... Stronger," was all it took. He immediately halted causing his two companions to stop as well. Babosa, with Gretik on his back sighed and shook his head. He could already tell by the boy's expression what was about to happen.

"No," he exclaimed; his deep voice echoing over the village. "We have to get these people far away from here."

Goku shook his head back and forth, "we have to do something. You heard him, they attack every year. That's gotta suck!" The young hero yanked out his sword and sliced it around.

"I know we can stop them. I got an idea. Trust me. Take Gretik to his family and assure them that everything will be alright. After that, quickly meet me at Yellow Valley."

Junior started to rocket off, but immediately caught himself. He came to a skidding halt then turned his head to the two Nameks. His cheeks filled red with color and a goofy smile crept up on his face.

"Oh yeah, one more thing," he said, then after pausing for an awkward second, he continued, "How do I get to the Yellow Valley?"

Babosa and Gretik both frantically flailed their arms and toppled over. A sigh escaped the older Namekian as he worked his body back upright. He was about to speak, but thankfully, Gretik, cut him off with the information.

"Well, that plain were you found me," he said stuttering with the shyness of a child. Goku Junior moved in closer to make out his almost inaudible words. "That stretch of land is the base of Mount Parunga. On the other side of that mountain, between another mountain, Mount Kundle, is the Yellow Valley."

Goku turned and looked, "Okay, so it's that way," He asked as he pointed with an unsure finger.

Babosa grunted and grabbed the Saiyan boy's extended arm. The growling Namekian moved Goku's arm until it pointed to the direction that they just left.

The little half-ling chuckled and said, "Oh, okay, now I remember!" Goku turned his body sharply and flared up an aura of blue energy around his body. "Gotta Go! You remember the plan don't you Babosa?"

Before he could even receive an answer, the little Saiyan warrior gave a wave good bye and blasted off. His ki burned brightly and flickered wildly around his body as he soared through the green Namekian horizon. Goku flew, and soared, and circled until he came to the Mount Parunga. It was just were Gretik said it would be. The tiny hero descended towards the jagged rock and took cover on a cliff overlooking the Yellow Valley.

The two Namekians were left stunned at the speed that Junior had taken off. "Your friend is very brave to go to Yellow Valley. It is said that if someone sets foot there, the raptors would eat them within a second" Gretik stated, in awe over the boy's enthusiasm.

"More like too stupid to realize he's walking into a dangerous situation" Babosa replied, shaking his head at the Saiyan's eagerness to start some plan that Babosa had no idea about.

Regardless, Babosa sped to where the villagers were fleeing, according to Gretik's directions. "My people always head to the lake. There, we'll be brought over to an island in the lake that will separate us from the raptors for a while"

"Good, I'll drop you off, make sure you guys are good, then go to Goku to figure out what the little guy's plan is" Babosa confirmed. He was able to quickly find the villagers and landed next to them. Immediately, one of the villagers, the very one that had been talking to Goku about fixing the pina colada maker, ran over, hugging Gretik.

"Gretik! Where have you been? I was so worried about you" the villager asked in a rush, pleased to see the boy.

"I was attacked by the raptors! But I was saved by this man and his friend" Gretik answered, pointing to Babosa.

"Yeah, great, we're all good. Now, you all head over to the island and we'll be right back after we complete Goku's plan" the warrior told the people. Secretly though, he was thinking "Even though this plan is likely to fail considering Goku thought it up"

While Babosa was about to blast off, the villager responded "But we can't get to the island. The creature that carries us to it is gone"

Turning his head to give an irritated look, Babosa said "What?"

"It's true. The guardian of the lake isn't showing up, despite the fact I placed his favorite snack in the water. He should be showing up now" the villager explained.

Sighing, Babosa offered "Fine, I'll go underwater and find your guardian or whatever. What does it look like?"

Gretik took his turn to talk, saying "He's big. Really long like a serpent, and has thick blue scales. He has some horns and really big teeth"

As those words entered Babosa's ears, the image of the sea serpent he and Goku had killed this very day entered his mind. "D-damn it"

"Pardon?"

Shaking his head, Babosa realized he had to fix something. "I-I think it's best we not waste our time. Anyone who can fly, please start flying over to the island. Everyone else come to me. I'll start carrying you over to the island in groups"

Only a handful of villagers started flying over, the rest looking at Babosa expectantly. "Of course you all need my help" the Namek warrior sighed. Looking off to the direction of Yellow Valley, Babosa mumbled "I hope you don't need my help too much Goku, I'm going to be a little late"

Goku gazed at the magnificent Yellow Valley. It really was yellow. Goku thought it was just the name, but that turned out to not be the case. It was totally weird how every plant and piece of shrubbery on the entire planet was blue less this sunken piece of land. It was brilliant.

Junior crouched down low on the piece of rock that he stood on. He ducked behind a massive boulder and peeked over it's shoulder. He didn't want to be seen by the animals, not yet anyways. His intentions were to learn more about this type of animal. Get to know your enemy type of thing.

When he left his two green skinned comrades, his initial idea was that he was going to approach the alpha male of the raptor pack and try to challenge it for territorial rights. It worked back at home on earth and the Saiyan child didn't see why that wouldn't work here. The dinosaurs there may a point not to cross by the young warriors hut. In fact, they had even come to the boy's aid on several different occasions. It was worth a shot anyway.

"Here goes nothing," he said under his breath and he started moving away from his rocky cover.

There was a small, narrow path to his right. Goku Junior fixed his eyes on the dangerous little walkway and smirked. It would be much easier for him to fly down from the mountain, but he didn't want to risk startling the beasts. The young Saiyan was just a few feet from embarking down the rough stairs when he notice something strange in the midst of the prehistoric reptiles.

Goku deaked back the rock and poked his messy little head back over the enormous stone guard-rail. It looked like a person in the center of the pack. To be more specific, a pirate. The hybrid fighter squinted his eyes and strained his little vision. His clothes were raged and he donned a skull cap. His skin was purple and a long, scruffy beard draped from his elongated chin. It was a pirate, but different from the ones that Goku was used to back hom. It had to be a space pirate!

A green blur shot across the sky as Babosa quickly approached Yellow Valley. He was a little tired from having to carry the villagers over to their safety island, but now he was ready to help Goku out.

Oddly enough, Babosa couldn't feel Goku's ki anymore. He knew the young warrior as one who would go straight into battle, so he never assumed that the boy would be masking his ki. The second Babosa felt a strong enough ki, he made the assumption that it belonged to Goku.

As he homed in on the ki, he was amazed to see Yellow Valley for himself. For blue grass to be yellow, it seemed insane to him. He imagined that if anything tried to yellow, it would mix with the natural blue and turn green. "Heh, green grass. That's ridiculous" Babosa laughed to himself.

Then, inside the valley, he saw the gathered pack around the source of the ki. Jumping to conclusions, Babosa shouted "Hang on Goku! I'm here to help!". Diving head first, Babosa barreled through the pack, knocking many of the raptors out of the way as he approached his friend.

When he sensed he was next to the source of the ki, he pulled up, looking to see Goku. Instead, he was met face to bearded face with the purple space pirate. Blinking a few times, Babosa mumbled "You're not Goku"

"Yarrrr, and you're not wanted matey" the space pirate growled. Pointing a finger at the Namekian, the pirate shouted "Get the slug ye space dogs! Make sure there's not enough left of him to make a belt out of!"

Suddenly, the whole pack started to converge on Babosa. The pirate gave a hearty, yet somewhat demented, laugh as he watched the reptilian creatures attempt to make a meal out of Babosa. While he was stronger than any one of them, the whole pack was way out of his league.

The warrior took to the sky, planning on using the height to his advantage. To his surprise, the raptors had incredibly powerful legs. Strong enough to propel them into the air with one jump. While this allowed them to attack Babosa, this didn't give them much maneuverability though, and allowed him to dodge.

"Shit, I hope Goku is okay" Babosa cursed as he tried to avoid being made into a meal. As one of the raptors nearly bit his left leg, Babosa added "But I don't have the time to worry about him!"

Goku, still spying down on the valley, decided it was time for action. The scruffy pirate was rallying up the dinosaurs and what ever spell he was casting was making them ornery as hell. Junior looked to his right. There was a narrow path on the edge of the cliff that looked like a haggard stair case.

The covert Saiyan slowly approached the descending path and gulped as he looked down the dangerous way. It definitely didn’t look safe, but what could he do huh? Flying right into the midst of the animal pack was a sure way to get himself into some trouble. Besides, he had no clue as to who the strange pirate guy was. As he assured himself earlier, a nice slow approach would be best.

The little hero started down the hazardous stairs. He tip toed and side-stepped his little heart out. His back was pressed flat against the mountain wall a he strafed along. He could feel the cool salty perspiration slipping down his face and brow. One wrong step or one crumbling rock and it wouldn’t be pretty. Goku tried his best to keep from looking down, but even that was difficult when it was important that you watched were you placed your feet.

Just then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a flash of green buzz through the air. It had to be Babosa. And, upon further inspection, it turned out that it was his green Namekian friend. Goku’s eyes followed his ally’s movement. He watched on as the Namek landed directly in front of the scallywag pirate.

“What’s he doing,” inquired Goku in his head.

There was a brief exchange of words followed by a loud battle cry from the purple space alien. Just like trained attack dogs, the vicious raptor formed a circle around the fighter and started to close in on him. Junior watched on for only about a second longer then realized that he probably should go assist his friend. There were so many of the beasts! Junior knew that if it was him, a helping hand wouldn’t bother him one bit.

Junior sured up his footing then pushed of with force. It would have been a perfect take off had not the rocks below his shattered into millions of pieces. Goku’s arms flailed around, trying to grab a hold of anything, but it was no use. The saiyan boy bounced, and flipped, and rolled all of the way down to the bottom of the mountain where he came to rest after three final tumbles.

“Ouch,” he said followed by a long drawn out groan.

Goku quickly sat up with his hand glued on top of his knotty head. Falling from the top of the planets second tallest mountain was no easy feet to accomplish. As he stood to his feet, dusting his ravaged and torn clothes off, he recognized a familiar growl that was sounding from behind him. It could only be one thing.

“This has to end,” Goku stated, in a rather annoyed and frustrated tone. He then reached for his sword and unsheathed that mother fucker with authority.

The Saiyan boy’s eyes were narrowed and focused when he snapped around to confront the beast. Much to his surprise, the beast was not an animal, it was far worse. The sight that he beheld was an enraged and beaten up Babosa. Goku smiled hesitantly and slowly placed his blade back into its scabbard. But, by the look on his companions face, he wondered briefly if he really should’ve holstered the weapon.

“What’s wrong buddy,” asked the boy cautiously.

Suddenly, Goku witnessed something he had never seen before, a red Namekian. Babosa let out a blood curdling roar that echoed back and forth off of the two surrounding moutains. Bulging muscles covered his body and his fangs appeared to be at maximum sharpness. With one violent swipe, he stripped the remaining portion of his shirt from his chest.

“What’s wrong? What’s wrong,” he said with the rate of his breathing increasing with each words spoken, “I’ll tell you what’s wrong. I just slaughtered a whole herd of deadly raptors while you sat over here and slept! I almost died out there! Great plan dumb ass!”

Goku was drawn back slightly by the out burst, but quickly found his happiness again, “Well, at least you’re here and there no more dinosaurs trying to ravage that village. I think you did a good job Babosa. Oh yeah, what about the pirate? What happened to him.”

Babosa slapped his face and slowly started calming down, “Agh! He ran off. He blabbered a few things about revenge and just disappeared.”

The little Saiyan, with a happy smile upon his face just simply shrugged his shoulders, “Hmmm, oh well. At least that’s all over with. I guess we can go try and relax now.”

“Yeah right,” Babosa added as the two trudged off into the distance still on their mission for relaxation.
