It had been some time since Akina had arrived on Namek, and since that ordeal in space. Things needed to be mulled over, ideas of power and what power really did bring out in one's self. The hybrid closed his eyes and then narrowed his gaze after a dozen heartbeats towards the village that was before him. Not entirely trusted. After all, Akina was not so...good, not with this cold, computer heart within him that warred with the warrior. He had slain someone on earth, and though he believed it a mistake and wanted to make up for it now, it seemed no one was willing to let that go for a fresh start. However, such was understandable from these green men. And mayhaps the attitude that the Saiyan hybrid held did not help either, but there was little he could truly do in that part, besides a gradual change. He no longer had the monetary means to do as he wished, but he still retained that attitude of one with plenty of wealth. Which, here on Planet Namek, seemed to be something unneeded. A simpler life, that of farmers, healers, and warriors. Nothing of the wars that were held on earth, the assassinations on those that tried to bring about better change. A peaceful place, when compared to Earth. One last sigh slipped the hybrid's lips before he floated into the air and flew to the village, silently landing with a calm about him, yet detesting gazes from the green men. Already, he could tell that they felt suspicious of him, likely his appearance. Shoulders held sigh released slightly as his head hung lightly. Weariness swept over Akina as he turned, before he was even too far in. He could tell that they did not want to see him, and he expected no sympathy. As he started to leave, and elder came out and spoke. "Stranger, why do you wish to turn away after just coming to the village?" Words: 330 Posts: 1 |

It had been a few days since he'd been on that ship, and those people with their weary ways and the test that it had made him go through while he was supposed to be traveling in relative silence. Akina had been looking, while on Namek, for someone to train with, and he'd found none of these to be to his liking, besides maybe that power that his scouter read, but his power level was far above Akina's own. As the tired hybrid started to leave, and elder had came out and spoke. The hybrid had stopped and turned to look at the man as the others did as well. They spoke in protest to the elder's words, in their native language- something Akina could not understand. Akina had not the energy to waste or even use to get angry. Waiting patiently, he saw that the elder was not backing down from his words, and he waited until his fellow villagers were silenced before speaking again. "Fellow Namekians, have you lost your helpful minds after Master Guru even placed upon us to help those that show no want to conquer us, rather then those that have tried." Akina would have lightly shaken his head- why even help him even with those things said? Still, his weary body needed the rest, and he would follow the elder as they went into his personal home. Fed well enough, the Saiyan hybrid would bow to the man before setting down on the mat laid out for him as he then spoke his thanks. His weariness did not deter the manners that he had, after all. "Thank you for your kind words. It's been a while since anything like that was given to me, even from my home planet. But I can understand why." Words: 300 Posts: 2 |

The Namekian was making some tea in one of their usual white colored pots, and the hybrid watched as he added some herbs. Perhaps two or three dozen heartbeats later the man spoke with a light smile on his face. "Young boy, I know that you are not all biological. I can see the scars of your past on your body and in your movements. I am not ancient, but I can see things others may not. You came here on a whim, though there is another place you might have gone. Please, stay as you are. There is a power, as well, hidden deep within you. Power untapped that could help you, when you fight against others. An Awakening, to put it. I am one of the few Namekians that can help you bring out such power. But you must promise me that you will not kill if you have no choice. If you do, then I will regret ever helping you." Akina understood and his eyes had widened. A nod would come from his head, before the elder allowed Akina to get some sleep. The Saiyan knew that such a thing was only allowed because the elder was by his side. This wasn’t a village with a Dragon Ball, so there was not a chance that this Saiyan half breed would stealing one. No, in fact, Akina knew nothing of the Dragon Balls. But the elder was already helping Akina, by allowing the boy to clear weariness away from his mind. There were a few other steps that this particular elder used. A small smile slid onto the elder’s face when he sensed that Akina was truly relaxing. Yes, that Awakening power was within him and he could unlock it at this very moment. When he awoke, they would begin faze two. Words: 304 Posts: 3 |

After a few hours of rest, the hybrid would awaken to find that the Namekian was smiling lightly down at him: why that was, he had no idea. But getting up, he would get ready to leave the old man alone: it was time that he stopped annoying the elder and wasting his time. But before standing, the green skinned man would place a hand out and stop the Saiyan half breed from standing and spoke in a tone that had long since passed both his parents' lips. "Stay a while longer. I know your egger to go, but remember that power that I was going to awaken within you, stranger?" It was something that Akina had forgotten about. The hybrid's head would nod and then he was instructed to sit cross legged, and close his eyes. Doing so, the hybrid was to empty everything out of his mind and make a blank slate, akin to drawing paper untouched. A slow nod followed as Akina was used to this type of training, everything falling away as he supposed that this would be like his meditation training on the Space Pod. Then he listened as he was instructed to paint a picture within his mind about what he envisioned power to be. Taking imaginary paint brushed, the half breed Saiyan would paint out energy and physical blows, and shadows of people. The shadows likely friends that he did not have, except for a small child that seemed to be the only one that was visible, another hero from that day. "Hmm, interesting. Strength from what you are aware of is energy, ki in other words, strength, and friends. It's a good answer. Good, then we shall move on. Erase what you wrote. We will move onto phase three. You are progressing quickly." Words: 301 Posts: 4 |

Another slow nod as the paper was swapped away for a new one as the elderly Namekian would say that their next piece was a little more difficult. Akina had to write his name- but had to write it in the way that his mind would be free to do so; color, styling, even thick or thin, aggressive and sloppy or patient and perfect. In other words, Akina was to write with the truest nature within the mid year teen. No slow nod as Akina;s body seemed to relax as this was something that he believed easy. But as his mind was trying to figure out how to write it, it became a bit harder. His different natures aggressively tried to take over: the cold machine and the battle loving Saiyan halves. The elder watched this, which allowed him to see that both sides refused to buckle. Many times, he'd seen these 'hybrids' fail completely in their attempts to get this part. It was actually quite simple: each side had to compromise; the Namekian had never said that it could be written by two parties. And he saw that the hybrid was remembering the rules for this, behind the scenes of the warring sides. And then it appeared as both sides were, instead, pushed aside. Race did not matter to this one, the Namekian observed in surprise, as the name was written with a sharp, fluid motions in a dark blue 'ink'. It was very stylized, being none too robotic and a little more savage like, referring to his Saiyan blood. Yes, this was his inner self: born a Saiyan and then changed into a half Android as well. A smile slid onto the elders face as he spoke again. "Stranger, it is time that we move onto the final stage. Keep that, because it is your true self and nothing else can separate that from you." Packed up and placed in the back of his mind, he was then told that he would just meditate for a while, while mulling over the thoughts of his true self and his image of power. These would combine and show the male his hidden power and would bring out his Awakening, the ability to grow stronger from within and then bring it up the surface. A low, sharp sigh slipped the lips of the Hybrid, and the Namekian smiled. Yes, this one was not so simple. Mulling over the differences of a more savage self identity and the thought that friends entered into that equation, rather then simple rivals and other things that haunted one was no simple thing. And Akina seemed to have wrestled with this question before. The Namekian spoke in a low, gentle voice as pieces of those others thought merely flashed by. "I see...ever since you were changed by your father, you've struggled with this already. But this will only help you with the decision." Akina did mull over it, and power from within rippled out in waves from time to time until a steam started to come from his body: a steam of energy that was crimson in color. It radiated for several minutes, always going up and then dispersing, holes within the red aura of energy. After that time, his body rose as he threw his arms to the side and gave a bellow, energy flowing out from his inner self, but was unable to escape like the steam of energy had, the power slightly increasing his muscle mass and then his hair spiked out and then grew, changing to a fox orange color with the tips various shades of blond. His eyes had been closed, but they now opened; not all back, but they were teal with a black pupil. Akina spoke slowly after a few minutes in silence as he looked at his self, even looking at his face in a pool of water for making tea. "My eyes...I never expected this kind of change, specially the hair. Thank you, elder. I don’t know how to thank you in any other way...perhaps I can guard your village for a time."
