After another hard weeks training, under master Roshi. Jai's opinion of the man had changed whilst he was an old guy who spent all his time looking at dirty magazines he sure can fight. Jai was laying on the sandy beach outside Kame House when the turtle Hermit approached him.

“Jai, seriously you have done my trial what are you still doing here?” he asked.

“Well, I get the feeling I can learn a lot more from you so I wish to continue training” Jai answered.

“Fine,” the old man folded his arms harshly. “then you can go to the desert and deliver some items to a good friend of mine. You see, she gets all her supplies from a small town however that was recently destroyed and she will starve if she doesn't get any food so get moving” Master Roshi told him.

“you want me to go that hot hell hole simply to act as a delivery boy!” shouted Jai indignantly while Master Roshi maintained a calm demeanour, the turtle hermit gave a swift nod which agitated Jai more then helped him calm down.

Jai folded his arms harshly, he maintained a glare at the old man “Fine, I will go help the lady” Jai answered finally.

“Thank you, please follow me” Master Roshi explained. The turtle hermit then headed back inside Kame House whilst Jai followed, when Jai entered the house master Roshi turned and handed him a large backpack. “you can fly right Jai?” Master Roshi asked.

Jai sighed, “of course, Master Roshi I will be back soon.” Jai told him. Jai turned to exit the house and pushed the door wide open once more. “WAIT” cried Master Roshi, “put these on,” Master Roshi handed him a set of glasses.

“You have got to be kidding me” Jai answered back. With a loud chuckle, he looked at the glasses they were bright red. “Not a chance” Jai stated, with a defiant stamp of his foot.

“Your going to a desert, So sandstorms are highly likely this will protect your eyes” Jai was told. Jai took the googles from the hermit and slipped them over his head, Jai cringed in pain slightly as they weren't exactly a good fit.

Doesn't matter Master Roshi is right, for the second time today. Wow, that's a scary thought I better get going!! Jai thought.

Jai stepped out onto the beach and took one last look at Kame House, the red roof and the pink house always was an odd sight.

Jai flew, furiously attempting to make up for lost time.

He was at first astonished by the amazing view of life on the land, There had to be thousands of city's that he flew by. However, many of them looked exactly the same to all others though there were many exceptions. Jai compared the cities, to his quiet town in the country, he enjoyed the quiet life, the cities always seemed so busy. In fact Jai rarely left his hometown except for training for tasks. Jai grinned widely as he passed his home town.

Out of thirst, Jai slipped a bottle of the water from the back pack and gulped down some of the water - and to his astonishment, the water tasted exceptional. Jai knew this wasn't normal water, as what he was used to tasted much cheaper and less pure then this. Jai put the bottle back into the back pack and resumed his flight towards the desert feeling much more refreshed and energised.

He snorted, sucking air through his nostrils as he increased his speed. There was a time to live in wonder, and there was a time for movement - and this was the latter. Jai soon reached a very sandy area, he guessed he had reached the desert and swiftly landed.

Jai landed softly, he halted on on the sand, opting to get his bearings before going any further. The sun was beating down on him, Jai wipped a bead of sweat from his forehead. Jai had a job to do however and he walked futher on into the desert. He knew then relative lack of landmarks would make this leg of the trip a bit more difficult. That in mind, he marched into the heat, as the sun shone down upon him.

To make life less fun, the walk was irritable - the ground beneath his feet shifted in a fashion he was used to, Jai then decided he would float whist he was here, he raised a couple of inches and continued to hover as he reached a clearly destroyed town.

"THOSE MONSTERS" Jai screamed, he fell to his knees and punched the ground “ how could they do this?” he asked himself.

Jai suddenly sensed an energy ball flying towards him, he disappeared and reappeared before the person that had thrown it. "You know an introduction would have been a better way to introduce yourself" Jai told him. Jai's purple tail wrapped itself around his waste, the man before him watched and was clearly surprised.

"Holy crap, why do you have a tail?" the man asked.

“Wow dude, your manner's aren't great, are they?” Jai stated with a swift chuckle “well it doesn't matter I'm busy, so I will see you later” Jai told him, as he passed the man and continued away from the town.

"Wait I was not trying to hurt you or anything. I'm just protecting the village, who are you looking for maybe I can help?" The man stated, catching up to Jai, who had stopped after he had heard wait.

Jai thought about this for a few moments. Well he does know the area “ Alright I guess, do you know where Lady Sarah lives?”

The man nodded swiftly “Lady Sarah? Of course I know where she lives, she used to visit the village for supplies before... well you can see it now, so I guess I don't need to explain aye?” the man answered Jai.

Jai smiled widely and the man said he knew where she was. However, the smile faded as the man mentioned the village, it really was a wreck and if Jai had time he would offer to help but he needed to deliver these items as soon as he possibly could. “ Can you lead me to her? And no I don't need an explanation on the village destruction I'm here on Master Roshi's orders,” Jai informed him.

The man nodded once more, “Sure, I Will take you to her” the man answered Jai. “Oh, right I'm sorry I forgot my name is Simon, the village you saw was Durnstrum” He added. Jai began to feel very sorry for the man, he wondered how he would feel if he lost his home and all his items.

It wasn't long after that that the two reached Lady Sarah's dwelling.

The trek had been mostly silent. Mariakoh had attempted to strike up a conversation twice, and both times it was shot down by Simon. As such, it quickly became directions being given, then silence for a time. Lady Sarah's dwelling was fairly small - more of a hovel than anything else. What was a bit surprising was the green around her building - there were quite a few plants growing there.

"Lady Sarah?" Jai asked.

"Yes, yes, who is it." The elderly voice croaked from inside the building, as she went to the window.

“ My name is Jai - Master Roshi sent me. I'm here with food and water "

The name Master Roshi, however, completely changed her demeanor. Mariakoh heard her take a deep inhale.

"What does that pathetic old geezer want with me now I swear if he's here to try and hit on me again. then I have more than a few choice words to give him let me tell you how many times does a girl have to tell a man no, before he catches on that he's just a disgusting perverted old geezer who should just die. Cold, friendless and alone,” the woman shouted.

Jai cringed that was pretty cold to him, he could feel the hate radiating from the house, it was like he had set of a nuke. Jai sighed as the woman continued....

“Back when I had any interest in him. he was just pretending to be someone, that he wasn't. All this because his true self is the most awful worthless man I kn-” Jai cut her off

“Hey sure he looks at dirty magazines, sure he is always trying to get skirt. He, id a really great guy and maybe you should give him another chance. But, anyways that doesn’t matter now open this door I got better things to do then to listen to you complain” Jai told her, anger flaring.

There was then a momentary pause, as Jai finished. He heard her gasping for air - she had clearly not expected Jai to defend him. Jai was a bit... perturbed at that level of sheer hate - he could practically feel it radiating out from the building. The woman the opened the door

"Um... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to anger you. I just hate that man" she told him. "But enough about him, then." She returned to the window. "That was very sweet of you to bring me supplies. I'd invite you inside, but I do not think my home is tidy enough for guest - so let me step outside."

She then stepped outside, wearing either a tunic or a dress of some sort. Jai set the bag down at her feet, and glanced around as she rummaged through it, Jai then spotted a spring in the corner.

"Uh... did you really need water, though? It seems that you have a spring or something here." Jai asked.

She chuckled. "The springs here are poisonous, as are anything that grows from them. This makes beautiful flowers, but it's not very good for me to drink. Thank you very much - what did you say your name was?" She answered.

"Jai, I'm also one of Master Roshi students" Jai added hoping it would explain why he had defended Master Roshi, from the insults.

"Ahh, Jai. Are you a Saiyan?" she asked, with a quick glance at the tail.

"Uh. My dad was I'm only half" he answered her.

"Ahh, so your one of those aliens. Well, at least you are of the more friendly variety. Who's your friend?" she asked, looking at the man over Jai shoulder. Jai turned around and glanced at the man, who had lowered his weapon and spoke then. "Call me Simon What are you doing here? You can't get food from my town anymore you will starve" Simon told her.

"Do not bother an old hermit with questions as to why she exists, young man." She chuckled, as Jai spoke up once more.

"Lady Sarah... can you tell me more about the gang which attacked the city you used to get supplies from?" Jai asked, suddenly feeling a little destructive.

After a pause, she looked the hybrid in the eyes. Finally answering him "...The Obsidian Kings are a ruthless group. They roam this area of the continent, preying on the small desert towns throughout for food, water, and prestige. They smashed up the town of Grenworth because the citizens refused to pay their 'protection' money."

Jai's eyes twinkled. Sadness seemed to echo from them "That does it, I'm going to go sort this gang out. Thanks for your help Simon" Jai told them. As the Saiyan hybrid took of and flew towards Grenworth, halfway there he found a large amount of people being attacked by the gang.

Jai landed softly on the sandy floor looking at his opponents, His temper had clearly got the better of him. He wanted to make this terrible group of people pay for there actions. “ Your all going to pay” Jai bellowed. The gang instantaneously stopped there attacks and headed towards Jai. Who held nothing but a wide smirk upon his face.

“Who the hell do you think you are?” one of them asked.

“I am Jai protector of the innocent” Jai answered folding his arms. The group chuckled loudly, they then drew guns and fired at Jai, who did not even move the bullets disappeared before they even hit him. They group stammered “ How did he do that?” the asked each other. “ Please, don't hurt us” the asked him. Jai smiled “ Okay on a few conditions, One you fix all the towns you damage, two you stop attacking everyone. Deal?” Jai asked.

“Deal” they all said with a evil smile.

“ I will know if you do not keep your word, if you don't then I will come back and you will all die” Jai told them. With that said he took off and headed back towards Kame House.
