The young half breed Saiyan warrior was silently studying his books that he'd taken with him on the Saiyan Space Pod, before he had sold it to get his current ship. For Akina, it had been some time since he'd trained with Guru, but he thought that he had at least proved himself on more than one occasion, such as that criminal and recently that assassin pair. A sigh slid from the young warrior's lips as he set the book aside and stood up, looking up at the sky, wondering what kind of forces he would be taking on next time a mission came up. The book was one he wasn't all that interested in, it was just a way to spend his breaks between sparing with Goku Jr. and using that gravity making machine. Suddenly the Scouter picked up a decent power level, for a Namekian that it was representing- a child. Perhaps it was once that was like the martial art prodigies on Earth. All Akina knew was that he was not still completely trusted by all the Namekians. If the youth wanted a fight, he would get it, but Akina had sworn off slaying Namekians as long as they were not rebelling or trying to slaughter innocents. The youth landed, a look between admiration, anger, and curiosity, with a sense or urgency about him. The youth spoke quickly, getting the message out quickly like, "Lord Guru wishes to see you. But his bodyguards refuse to let you come near anymore without some kind of guide. Follow me, please." Akina would release a sigh as he slid his leather gloved hand through his hair and then looked down at the kid with his ebony eyes and nodded his head. Whatever those paranoid fools wanted, he guessed. Akina would not argue, though, seeing the events that had already occurred on the planet, at least since he had arrived. Words: 319 |

The android hybrid and the child Namekian took to the air, no aura surrounding Akina, despite the speed that he was flying at. The little green alien looked surprised and Akina already knew what he wanted to ask. Akina would get it out of the way, "It's something unique to my species. Don't worry about it, child, I still use ki like anyone else." Akina noted with a small smile that the child looked embarrassed and they would have a nice, relaxing and quiet fly to the towering point. Their flight was not a particularly long one, seeing as Akina was getting much faster. Actually, now that Akina thought about it, he had actually grown quickly on this planet, within about a month he had grown to heights that he was sure not too many thought he would each. Not even his father would have guessed. He supposed that his mother was really the one to impress, since she was the one that was really the fighter in the family. The thought made the teen warrior chuckle as he looked at the small alien, who was flying along and looked back at him with a curious glance. After Akina waved that he was fine, the two of them flew in quietness and peace until the pair landed on the platue where Guru resided. Two of his bodyguards stepped forward, each one frowning at Akina. The ebony eyed warrior narrowed his eyes at the stare down and did not back down. After all, what did he have to fear of these two? He was a defender of Guru as much as these two that were foolish enough to believe in their feral minds that Akina was 'evil'. Akina thought of them as feral because neither one spoke after a time of the staring and two turned with a grunt, indicating that Akina was to follow. Glade that he had avoided a fighting situation near Guru, the Saiyan warrior followed silently behind them, into the house of the giant Namekian, the Eldest Namekian. Words: 339 / 658 |

Stepping into the room, Akina's Scouter alerted him to the amount of bodyguards within the place: two more were still hiding, but not one of these bodyguards, who were also students of Guru, had been able to keep up with his progress. In fact, it was doubtful if any of Guru's students had grown this quickly. Clenching his leather gloves for a moment, his ebony eyes casted a glance at the two hidden ones, who seemed surprised that he'd been able to find them. A sigh slid his lips, low, but once of those stupid guards spoke up, growling at Akina, "Take one step out of line, Akina, and we won't hesitate to take you down. You know that all too well, don't you?" Akina would stop for a moment before he turned his gaze towards the Namekian- the hue of crimson from his orbs seemed to slightly unnerve the Namekian. A stout, well built-Namekian that held a decent stance. He was shorter then Akina by half a hand, but Akina saw no reason that he should be afraid of the Namekian before him. He only studied the Namekian for a moment before turning back to the front and keeping his tongue away. The lashing would come later, as he was given a private audience with the Namekian in charge. Saying nothing as he entered the circle, it would leave it's place and Akina would float up, followed by his two guides, who stopped at the entrance. He heard one grumble under his breath about trust and all that other crap. Akina would never understand the anger that Namekians' held, but they could at least be a little kinder to Guru's students. Shaking his head at the thought, the half breed Saiyan would land and looked at the big Namekian, who smiled and then coughed, then smiled again. Being centuries old, Akina reflected as he walked towards the Namekian, must make you sick all the time. Words: 326 / 984 |

The young warrior came to a halt a few meters from Guru and go to one knee and bow to Guru, the only warrior that he had ever done so to willingly. The simple answer to why, if one asked, was because Guru understood combat. Guru understood reasons for it, but battling to kill was nothing more then murder. Akina respected that someone thought that way, and that Guru was able to truly understand that himself. The closed eyed Namekian spoke in a humbled voice, one that always seemed to rumble through the throne room, "Akina, stand." The Saiyan half breed was confused, but did so, looking at the giant Namekian, who was still smiling as he continued, "I must commend you for getting as far in your training as you have with the skills you brought with you from Earth. I must also say that Biolin was correct when he said that you would do anything to please an elder. That was even before you stopped going to his village. He understands, Akina." Akina’s head nodded as he was wondering where this was going. Talking about what he had done was painful enough without a reminder, but he continued to listen as Guru spoke after coughing again, "Looking upon your progress, I must also say that not only have you matured greatly as a fighter, but as a humane being. Thanks to your progress, being faster then that of any of my Namekian students, I want you to take a test. A trail of sorts, to see if you are still worthy of being trained." Akina understood now and nodded his head slowly as he wondered what kind of test the Namekian wanted him to do. Finding someone was all too simply, an errand that he sometimes used in his speed training with Guru. The large Namekian finally spoke up again, interrupting the Saiyan half breed's thinking, "Your trial is to spar in a contest of pure martial arts with four village leaders. The duels must be honorable, and I will know if they are not. You are not to use Ki, nor are you allowed to fly. I will know it and sense it." Words: 366 / 1,350 |

Akina's eyes would widen- take on those men, with much more experience and power than he had? After all, in his mind, to be a village leader, one had to be able to defend their village. The prospect likely scared those others, but for Akina, his Saiyan blood boiled as a wicked grin formed on his lips. He couldn't help it, and he saw that Guru only wore that half smile on his face. A map was handed to him and he was allowed to keep his Scouter, just in case Akina needed to use the machine to find the exact area. The Saiyan warrior nodded his head and turned, speaking to Guru as he left the room, that smile still on his face, "Guru Sensei, I won't let you down." Leaving, Akina would go ahead without the escort, activating Hikou as he rocketed off for the first village on the map. It's leader was not named, so he wondered if the green alien would be expecting him. And he was greeted by a whole village, or at least a population about the size of Biolin's village. At least he would be witnessed and he could tell how well he was doing by the comments made by those villagers. Landing, the half breed would see that there was a younger looking Namekian walking forward, who spoke up in a quiet, controlled voice, "You are Akina, student of Master Guru, I assume. He let me know that you were coming. It is nice meet you, young warrior." A four fingered hand was placed out, and Akina would take a hold of it and gauged the Namekian's grip, replying, "Yes, Guru sensei sent me here on a trial. You are the first village leader?" There was a smile on the male's face, and Akina braced himself when the Namekian tried to throw him, hearing the grunt of effort and then surprise as Akina had not budged. Akina had grunted with the effort to not be moved, and then surged forward like a wave, pushing the Namekian to the ground, eyes narrowing as he spoke, a smirk on his face as the Scouter read the Namekian's battle strength. "Yes indeed," stated Akina, "you are the strongest Namekian here." Words: 375 / 1,725 Posts: 5 |

The young village leader would give a shout, and an aura shot up around him, clearly showing that he was powering up. Akina did not do the same, but just jumped back, threw a hand up and caught the punch thrown at him, growling, "I can beat you without powering up!" Pulling the Namekian off the ground, he would start to spin, making the crowd back up and the younger ones back off. Akina knew not to toss the man into the crowd, and instead slammed him onto the ground, causing a small crater to be form as he would prepare to kick the Namekian, but he would roll out of the way. Jumping back, Akina slipped onto his water stance, knowing that the Namekian were a very tricky race to deal with at his level. And as Akina had thought, the warrior had spun in a kick, but Akina was no longer there. Not there, Akina was able to move enough that he grabbed the swinging limb and then tossed the Namekian into the air so that his head was pointing towards the ground. Jumping up with his strength enough, Akina would grab the other leg and pulled the Namekian back a little, then flung him down, slamming the Namekian into the ground again, as he said, "Earth style: Meteor strike." Landing heavily, Akina walked over to the Namekian and placed his hand down and helped the Namekian to get up, muttering, "I believe that there must have been some kind of way to defeat you without using Ki, but I know it will only get harder. I hope that you can gain more power, and that I have't done any permanent damage to your back or neck." Getting up, the Namekian moved his neck gingerly before he smiled lightly, and replied in an undertone, "Don't worry, nothing broken. But your right, the rest will be much harder. Ki gets harder to use with age, which is a major part of my fighting. The elders are much harder to beat in straight up martial arts, young Akina. I'll give you this one warning: be careful. I can't give away their techniques, but I should hope that saying 'be careful' will be enough, young warrior." Words: 375 / 2,100 Posts: 6 |

Nodding his head, Akina would turn from the Namekian and saw a stretch of land that was contentious for quite some time. Turned back, Akina saw that the man pointed him in that direction. Nodding, Akina thought to himself, "So, this must be some sort of extra test, to see if the one traveling this road has the endurance to go without using Ki...the Scouter will help me find the village, anyway, even if I can't find it on land. Onto the next one, then." Akina followed the map with ease, since he used the land marks on it, and used the Scouter to spot any villagers that were near landmarks. It was easy enough to pick out the next village, and once he wove his way there, the Saiyan half breed was greeted by an elderly looking Namekian. A staff was held in his hand, and he was surrounded by several bodyguards. Akina paused and the elder met his eyes before a smile cracked onto the elder's face. "Looks like he's here," started one of the bodyguards, "and now all five-" The Namekian was interrupted by the elder, who would narrow his yellow eyes ahead at Akina, his staff out infront of the bodyguard. The movement was fast, but Akina had been able to follow it. Not using ki Akina's ass. He could tell that such movements were due to a life time of mastering the at of Ki. These elders had perfected Martial Arts and perfected Ki arts. The thought only made Akina smile wildly as he took his stance, the elderly man chuckling, "Eager for the spar, are we boy? Very well...names are not necessary between those who cross fists, are they?" Nodding his head in agreement, Akina suddenly launched at the elder, using his sand and water styles mix together, acting like a wave of the grains, every bit of the grains of his being going in for the strike. He crouch low and would swing up, the elder dodging the attack: that was what Akina wanted. The young Saiyan half breed swung his leg opposite the attack he attacked from, while the old man was still within kicking range, but out of the range to use his own arms for a counter attack. The elderly man was slippery as Akina knew his type be. The man slid to the side and then grabbed onto Akina's leg. Roaring, Akina would continue with his kick, straining the strength of the elderly man's one arm. Both of the combatants strained for control over the lone limb, both knowing that in a battle with Ki allowed, a ki attack would have settled who got what thus far. Even with such knowledge, neither one would challenge that rule that was in place. And they would battle this out until one of their limbs gave out. Or not, since Akina would smirk, as suddenly as Akina flipped, placing his arms on the ground and plunged his fingers into the solid ground, the elderly man gave out in the battle, and Akina pushed outward, kicking the elder in the face, which made the elder stumble back. Akina would then flip, placing his hands into a ready position. The fire stance he used changed, being more defensive, but he knew that the elder would not continue with just one eye. As an elder, it only screwed with his sight. The elder chuckled as he spoke in a laugh in his tone, "You got me there, he he. You are a smart fighter, along with being a martial artist. Yes, this is a mark of a true martial artists- one who can use their techniques and move in whatever way that is needed. Even if that be still: being still might mean waiting it out. Luckily, you knew your limits. Assessing that situation was good. Move on, young one, and meet the next elder." Akina nodded as he closed his eyes a moment, standing there a moment before a whole smile smiled his face. Yes, he certainly had fun with these trials, more then Guru would know. It was always fun for the young Saiyan to battle against those stronger or more knowledgeable than his self. It was the mark of the Saiyan and Akina's mark. With the blessings to go on ahead, Akina would turn and start walking in the direction of the next village. Even though his blood boiled, wanting more combat, and the use of ki, he controlled his desires, because he knew that it would only help him become stronger. Yes, his walk, even if it was not what he was supposed to do, allowed him to keep his desires to battle down, and save up the energy without rushing. Besides, he could fly to the last one. He knew it would be about the next time that the sun came around that he would have to deal with the rest of this crap. It took him only a few hours when he got to the next village, finding a solem village elder. He had no villagers outside, and in fact, it seemed that the village had no one in it at all. The Saiyan half breed stood there a time before speak up, a curious look on his face, "Elder, greetings. I hope that you are well enough to spar with me." The old man would nod breifly, then a low sigh rippled through his being before his eyes opened wider and it seemed that he was trying to scare Akina, but he could say that they were nothing to his crazed father. More so, the elder saw the curious look on the youth's face, and he would stop the wide eyed glare. Speaking in a gruff voice, it was clear that he was some kind of grizzled war veteran, "You are indeed as Lord Guru said. A stoic youth with the resistance to a glare that can send those like you scampering. A scarred past...with scabs healing over it now. This is good. I can fight at my full power, then. You've made an old man happy." Words: 307 / 3,119 Posts: 9 Akina Namekian Village Leader |

The statement had brought a solemn smile from the old man, and Akina felt his blood boiling again, a smirk flowed onto his face as he knew that he would have to use all of his available abilities to beat this one. His eyes gained their crimson hue before ki shot up around him, his power raising to full as his hair grew out and his eyes changed, that android sign hue no longer necessary within this form. This only gave the Namekian elder a smirk, knowing that Akina was using his full power against him. The Namekian elder's cane, with didn't even look like it was used much, was dropped as he charged, swiping his hand out to test the reaction time of Akina in this form. Akina did not hesitate to use the Speed Teleport, but just dodged to the side, as though flowing that way like water. The elder continued with his attack, his arm bending so that as he closed in, his elbow went in to strike Akina. The Saiyan half breed would place an arm up, blocking the elbow blow. And then the elder was pushed to his back as Akina surged forward like waves, crashing down the elder into their tides. A grunt of surprise erupted from the elderly man, who only smirked and grabbed onto Akina's leg. This tripped Akina, who went down to one arm, but kept the rest of his body off the ground, just barely. The elder would feel the surge again and saw the strain placed into Akina's arm, and suddenly the tides were lifting the elder. He couldn't believe that this whelp of a fighter was forcing the elder to use these techniques, but he would spin in mid air and and he charged forward again- to meet Akina's foot smashing into his gut, kicking the elder to the ground and then landing in a pant, narrowed eyes down at the elder. Smiling, Akina would help the elder up, the grizzled Namekian smirking as he placed a hand on his stomach. Akina saw the healing that he used, and then listened as he spoke, "You've passed my test, boy. One last one, and you'll pass this trial." Words: 369 / 3,488 Posts: 10 Akina Namekian Village Leader |

The Saiyan half breed was given the go ahead to fly to the next village, and the old man had encouraged him to use the Scouter- after all, without it, Akina would just get lost. Agreeing to do so, Akina had went off and it was true, there was a lot of villages along the way, all with decent power leveled elders, but it didn't matter. He had found a higher one that was just a bit stronger then he was in this form. Landing in the village, it appeared that the villagers had went somewhere else. The elder stood alone- he was thinner one, but Akina saw that there were muscles that had been long ago trained every day, seeing that those muscles gained would never fade completely. The man looked ready for combat, and he easily saw that there was no staff within sight. After so much combat, there was no need to speak. He picked up that vibe from the elder, and so he smirked and rushed ahead, a wild look came to his eyes as he sought to trick the elder. The man looked unphazed and would crouch with his punch, one arm in front and one behind him, where Akina had used the Speed Teleport to, much to his surprise. His face was met by the elder's fist, snapping his head back. Using an arm, he stopped his back from touching the back and shurged like the mighty wave to surprise the elder. The headbutt met the elder's arm socket, throwing the back back as Akina brough his leg up and kicked out, the foot lashing across the arm and keeping the man from recovering. A sickening pop could be hurt as the arm was popped out of the socket. But Akina saw the old man use his other arm to quickly place it back into place. Still, it gave Akina the chance to switch to an older style of fighter and suddenly he was jabbing and upper cutting the elder in the face or the body, knocking the proud elder onto his rump. The surprised elder then started to chuckle, escalating as Akina joined in, each coming to a laugh in due time, before they settled down, Akina speaking since the second village as his transformation faded, "This trial pogressed in difficulty, but if one looked at their wins and figured out how they got there, they would be able to use that as a larger part of their straighty against the next level." Nodding, the elder smirked as he spoke, "Correct, young Akina. You have passed this trial, and I believe Lord Guru will allow you to learn one of his techniques, once you return to him."
