Strongest Under the Land Under the Heavens Location: Earth Difficulty: Medium Reward: +600 zeni, +5 DP, +20 all stats, +5 Rp Credits Bonus: +3 alignment if you destroy the league, OR -3 to alignment if you become the new champion. -------- Dinner at the KAME house was strange. Rymino, a thirty year old learning to fight so he could protect his future wife, swallowed bowls hole. Hyre noted he had a tail stub on his lower back, but waved it off after first notice. Jilloph, a fourteen year old only a month younger then himself, whom Hyre had taken a liking to, ate noodles equally dangerous as Rymino, wiping her mouth when finished. Hyre was the only person there eating things at a slower rate, besides Master Roshi himself. There was a large pink figure, Millgo, who was said to be a Golem based Demon made by a Kai gone bad. Millgo escaped to Earth, and served now as a care taker for the Island. He turned his food to candies with a strange antenna on his head, larger then a Namekians, and ate that. There were many other strange beings here, most of good heart...Besides one. The dark haired, pale skinned man wore a mask over his mouth and ears, always wearing a scouter...Always observing the fighters. Hyre shot a glance at Jilloph, who smiled slightly, locking eyes with him. The 'Scouter-Man' seemed to read both Jilloph and Hyre's powers, then zeroed in on Hyre. Hyre raised an eyebrow, then turned toward a window. The full moon...Master Roshi had told everyone with a furry tail to stay indoors and away from windows...Hyre had no clue why, though. With a slight yawn, he winked at Jilloph, then exited the house, floating up above one of the Palm Trees and cupping his hands. A blue and black ball formed- the Uniquely colored Dodonpa- then fired off toward now where. It's power, though weak compared to some of the beings he knew were traveling the stars at this very moment, lifted the water about three feet up, making a small wave wash up on the Island. The blast flickered out after three minutes, and Hyre lowered to the ground, grinning. Out of the new students- which was everyone at the Dinner Table he'd listed- Hyre was the strongest. Jilloph was a close second, then Rymino. The third strongest was the Pink being, Millgo. However, there were people stronger then the four friends in the KAME house, who had arrived there long before hand. Hyre sat there for hours, Jilloph stopping by for about thirty minutes to watch the moon. It was then, Hyre figured something out. Jilloph seemed to become a bit more wild- more insane- during the full moon. Could she be like Rymino- a tailed being? Jilloph finished her prolonged admiration of the full moon, then walked away, going back inside. Eventually Hyre rested his eyes, then completely fell asleep. It seemed like a few hours- he thought he was dreaming... "Yeah- He's the best candidate. He's insanely strong, but also not strong enough to resist then sleeping potion we injected him with. Good thing his Power level is only capped at 3,200. Any higher and he'd have been able to resist it." Came a cold, vampric like voice. "Wait- when you say Higher do you mean the kid, or the WORD Higher?" Asked a dumb sounding, gruff voice. "Yes, you numb skull, I mean the WORD HIGHER!" Growled the vampire sounding guy. Hyre forced his eyes open, but couldn't do much more. "Ah, the BOY Hyre awakes...Welcome to the great fight, the almighty fist clenching, never ending war...You'll work your way from Gladiator to Modern War Fare in here! You'll notice you've already got your army, and I made sure to grab your spear for you." Said the Scouter Man. Hyre looked down, seeing he was in a tan gladiator like outfit, with a helmet and red Mohawk feathers across it to boot. How long had he been out? It took a moment, but he realized he'd been lowered into a large, Roman based arena. Around him doors began to clink opened...From one a large group of other fighters emerged, pale and twisted. From another, wild beasts, and from yet another alien gladiators- dressed more like Knights- appeared as well. What twisted place was this?! Word Count; 679 Total: 679 |

Hyre jumped up over a large lion, landing on a wall of the huge battle stadium. Using his Bukujutsu he stood steady there, watching the beasts smash into the sickly fighters. The Alien Knights roamed lower on the walls, apparently so weak they couldn't fly any higher. Higher...Hyre had always wondered why he'd been named after that word. Of course, now that he could fly, he was 'higher' then most of the human fighters on Earth. He grimaced, seeing a massive lion swat down one of the more healthy fighters. The man stood his ground, shoving a sword up the Lion's jaw, but still falling shortly after. An elephant smashed through the forces, and a group of tormented birds of pray tore through the weakened Aliens. In minutes all of them were down, leaving Hyre with the deadly beasts below. "Man...This is sick...There's no exit...I guess I'll have to follow their rules until I can find a weak point and break out..." Hyre muttered, then flew to the center of the ring, turning in circles. He was surrounded by a huge crowd, hidden behind a Ki-in forced window. He stared up at a massive flat screen showing the fight in the stadium, Hyre in the strange gladiator get up floating high above the creatures. "WHERE IS THIS!? WHAT ARE THE RULES!?" He yelled. Everything went silent, an announcer with red hair appeared. Word Count: 505 Total: 1,184 "The rules are simple. Live." He said, then the screen returned to the human warrior, unsheathing his spear and flying at the window. Smacking his foot against it, he was simply bounced to the ground. A large paw flung down at him, causing him to roll over and move to his feet, smacking the steel spear through the prideful animal's spine. Tearing it out, he turned, thwacking away a bird, then blasted down a bear. Twirling the spear, he blocked two claws from landing their mark, using his free hand to blast them away, then shove the spear through another Lion. He was barely at five percent of his power, keeping it in the low 900's. There were a few creatures left, the birds hiding in the cages by now. An elephant, enraged, charged toward Hyre, who knew this being was endangers. He jumped, landing on it's back and taking the honey-brown gem from his pocket...He was still wearing his black pants, thankfully. Pressing it to the Elephant's head, he tried to send it's mind away...The gem glowed, and seemed to pull the Elephant's being into the Astral Realm...Or perhaps it's coolness put the mighty beast at ease. Whichever happened, it lowered, calming. Hyre slipped off, breathing a sigh of relief. A door opened, and the Scouter-Man stepped out. "You did good...You have progressed to the Round Table Round. Here you will either destroy or befriend a dragon young ling...If you befriend it, you'll deal with our well-trained knights...kill it, and face the mother..." The man said, then injected Hyre with another dose of the sleep potion. He fell to his knees, then passed out. |

Hyre awoke, sitting in front of a man who resembled King Arthur. Around him the healthier fighters were holding swords- but he was the only one who used a spear. Now he was in silver, heavy Knight Armor, and could make out the crowd through a fake sky. The announcer seemed to be saying something to the crowd, getting them pumped, before eight eggs appeared. Five men stabbed them into them instantly, and then looked up at red glowing eyes. Hyre dashed off, grabbing the blue and black egg, then blasting through the fake castle and cave, flew up toward the dome again, and tried pounding into it...Useless. Below him, a group of robotic knights chucked spears, which were dodged for the most part. Getting annoyed, Hyre shoved the egg into his spear pack, put his spear in his mouth, and cupped his hands, firing a dodonpa into the crowd, making the knights fly in all directions. He looked up at the Dragon terrorizing the other Knights, and charged off another dodonpa, blasting a whole big enough to keep them all separated. After that, He noted the announcer walking out to prepare Hyre again, and flew down, smacking his fist into the Announcer, sending him to the ground. He pulled the egg out of the spear pack, then sprinted out, tearing the armor apart as he went. He found his clothes still on under neath, luckily, and continued on. He eventually took to gliding closer to the ceiling, still holding the dragon egg close to his chest as he flew. He took note of an exit, then turned around, pointing his hand back at a large red computer. He blew it up, then another, and so on until all of the power units were destroyed. After that he blasted out of the exit, keeping the dragon egg close, and entered a massive arena...Where Ick, the alien form the Gang war, stood....So, he'd need to deal with him before he could leave. Swiftly he placed the egg on the ground, with his Jacket to warm it, then flew into the ring. After this, it would be a matter of escape. Word Count: 357 Total: 1,541 |

Ick seemed lifeless, a strange device attached to his head, wires all over him. He had assumed 'The Beast form' an Alien power up. He had a massive spike coming from his fore head, with flesh bubbiling. The wires glowed, showing a sickly mix of nuclear liquids and blood, mutating the alien being. Hyre held his spear in his right hand, the blunt side pressed into the ground, waiting for action. Slowly, Hyre let his power raise from 900 to 2,500, then 3,048, his previous cap...Then it jumped to 3,200, his current max power. He moved one foot back, slid the other forward, move his left back and charged a bowling ball sized energy ball, then hurled it at the Mutated Ick. Ick swatted it with a metallic tendril- spanning from the helmet which could now be identified clear down the spine. Ick lifted both hands, plus his six tendrils, and fired off multiple beams and bombs, most of which Hyre swatted away with the spear. A stray beam flew toward the egg, missing by an inch and burning through the wall....Which ticked him off. Hyre floated up, then vanished, appearing behind Ick and stabbed his spear through the right shoulder, tearing chunks of skin and blubber off, then swatting it around to the Alien's face, which did almost nothing. Another tendril came around, stabbing Hyre through the leg. Hyre grimaced, then jabbed his spear through the tendril, making sure it wouldn't move again, then pulled hard, tearing himself from it. There was now a gaping whole in the meaty part of his leg, but it didn't go all the way through. It would heal with time. With a swift movement he smashed two fists into Ick's armored chest, cracking it slightly, then brought his good leg up, busting the armor in three places. When his foot rested on Ick's chest, Hyre pushed up, using his bad leg to finish up with the armor. "Gr..." A jolt of pain shot through his leg, then the armor busted to bits, leaving only Ick's pants and strange helmet. The remaining five tendrils wrapped around Hyre, trying to crush him to no effect. With all his strength, he forced his body into a position for a Dodonpa, then shot into the air, busting through the tendrils. Ick jumped, but missed while Hyre lifted up to the ceiling, charging up his uniquely colored Dodonpa and firing it off. It smashed into the alien, pushing him deep into the ground, busting the control helmet, and forcing Ick to pass out. The announcer stumbled in, holding a gun and firing one bullet at Hyre, who caught it in between two fingers, crushing it. "Looks like I'll be shutting this down by other means then blowing it up..." He muttered, then sheathed the spear, floated to the ground, and prepared for the onslaught of bullets. Word Count: 476 total: 2,067(Sorry, misread my math) |

Hyre easily side stepped until the gun was out of bullets, then sensed two higher-then-average human power levels- each coming in at 1,000. Impressive... Thought Hyre. It took my quite a while to reach that level- but of course- I was self trained up until now. These guys were taught all kinds of fighting and wrestiling...Sumo skills mostly, for the third. He added, before tensing his muscles three times, getting his blood and adrenaline to rush. The first fighter- about the same size as Hyre- but obviously over 2,000 total Power Level below him- charged, and was caught by one hand, which tossed him into the second man, about the size of Bucky at half power. Hyre dealt with him the same way, throwing him into the first man, then Hyre himself flew at the sumo fighter. "SUMO KILL!" The fat man yelled, smacking Hyre over the head. The sheer weight brought him down, but other then that, he took little damage. Landing on fist into 'Sumo's ' gut, another to the neck, causing him to spit up blood, and another hit from his good leg, sending the fat man to the ground...To reveal an android, much like the being he'd met in the Astral Realm... And android. This one had black, spiked hair and yellow, rotting synthetic flesh. It blurred, smashing Hyre's neck only to be smacked into a wall. The android fired off two cannons from it's wrists, blasting Hyre through a wall into a Janitor's closet. He grabbed a broom, flinging it at the Android. It made it stop for a moment, then fire another set of beams. Hyre flipped over them, firing off two blasts of his own, sending it through the wall. "Primary Programming...Kill...Unit name...Destroy...Destroy renegade fighter..." The android repeated, in a monotone voice. It fired off six beams in a row, all of which smashed Hyre through the wall again. The human warrior lowered into a position in which he could easily power up his Dodonpa again, but was cut off by the Android, Destroy, smashing it's fist into Hyre's face, then neck, then gut, then knee cap. Hyre fell to the ground, angered. His Ki built up, then he charged, smashing his hard head into the Android's extremely hard body, cracking it. It's eyes flickered before it self destructed, in a final attempt to stop the renegade. Hyre was smashed into a wall again, then struggled to stay awake. Gotta keep going. I've gotta get the Dragon Egg out of here before they corrupt it.... He thought, then powered out of the wall, smacked the Announcer and owner of the fight to the ground, grabbed a steel pipe and smashed it into the wall, forced the announcer against the wall. With a bit of effort, he bent the steel pipe, shoving it into the wall so the announcer couldn't escape. After that, he grabbed the Egg, his Jacket, his Spear, then took to the air, flying through the tunnels beyond the damp arena, forcing himself to keep moving. Word Count: 504 Total: 2,571 |

Hyre began to feel his head cramp, his ears popped. He floated to the ground, losing no speed as he started to sprint. Windows began to appear, showing deep blue, with strange creatures swimming past...Sea dragons bread to kill, sharks bread to shred anything in their path...Even a gold fish was in there, destroying small objects as it swam. This was little distraction, as Hyre continued his sprint down the labyrinth of hall ways. Suddenly, they went up hill, rising from the enclosed ocean area and closer to land. It became apparent that he was well over five hundred feet under...And also, seeing a Sea Turtle pass, realized he was directly below the KAME house. The Sea Turtle began to follow Hyre past windows, guiding him toward an exit. Hyre took twists and turns until he arrived at a pool...In which another android like creature, with sharp blades for feet and arms, stood on a frozen cap. This blocked his path, but could be easily dealt with... Or so he thought. The skater-android blurred, appearing behind him. It made an attempt to stab through Hyre's chest, but was swatted down by the spear. Bringing his good leg up he smacked the Android to the ground, brining his spear through it's head. "...I'll have Roshi re wire you...Somehow..." He muttered. He'd stolen the previous Android- 'Destroy's'- Chip as well, and planned to find someone to rewire them to better living. Turning, he fired a dodonpa at the blocks of ice, melting his path. With that, he dove into the pool of water where the Sea Turtle swam to him. Hyre grabbed it's shell, then was pulled to shore....And saw a terrifying picture. Some of the fighters from below were attacking KAME house- more importantly, Jilloph. Hyre drug the sea turtle into the air. "HEEEY! LET ME DOOOOOOOOOWN!" He yelled, but was hurled at Jilloph's attacker like a Frisbee, smacking him into the dirt. Hyre flew down, smashing three other attackers to the ground with him. The dragon egg was still in one arm as he fought, easily taking care of the sickened and angered beings. With a huff, he fell to his knees. Word Count: 360 total: 2,571 |

Hyre awoke in his small room, his radio on the crime channel as usual. He smelled freshly cooked bacon, and tiredly exited the room, slid through the living room and slipped five slips of bacon into his mouth, then exited the KAME house. He walked to the waters edge, flying up to about where he thought the mysterious fight zone was. Easing back, he charged up a Dodonpa and fired it down into the water, hoping he destroyed the entrance and exit zone. At any consolation, they'd be forced to move to a new location, away from Roshi's Island. Floating back to the Island, he resumed his activities from the previous night ago. He fired off a dodonpa, which still raised little more then three feet- then went back to admiring the sparkling water. Most of the day went like that- he checked his Gem every few hours, but it seemed to be a slow day for fights. So, he rested, dreaming more of the Dragon Balls, of future fights...And of the mysterious Kami, up on his tower somewhere in the sky. That was his next step in training. He'd stay with Roshi long enough to learn how to better defend himself...Long enough to raise his power level higher, to at least five thousand. Then he'd train with Kami for a while, and eventually move to a new planet...Possibly Namek. Word Count: 230 Total: 2,801 |
