The Super Holy Water

Personal Saga

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“LANDING IN 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…” a mechanical voice said.
I can’t believe I’m finally here, Oboe thought. What’s it been since I left Earth now? A year? More than that? I can’t even remember…
With a hissing sound, the ship touched down on the forested land below. Oboe adjusted the switch for the gravity and set it back to x1. With another hiss, the numbers on the screen quickly feel from 25 down to 1. A great weight had literally been lifted from his shoulders. With a flick of another switch, the hatch for the door lowered. He walked down the steps and took a deep breath in. It felt great to be alive. It felt great to be home.
He wandered around for a few minutes, just taking it all in. He didn’t take much time to think, just to enjoy himself. The air was crisp, refreshing. Around him was a clearing in the middle of a dense forest. For some reason, it seemed somewhat familiar to him. Perhaps it was just a coincidence, though. Forests were very difficult to tell apart. Most of the time, they looked almost identical. But something about this one gave him a feeling of nostalgia. But he knew there was one way to prove it.
Oboe dashed over to the nearest tree and used the branches like a ladder to climb up to the top. He could just barely see over the tips of the other trees, but he could see what he was looking for. Over to the southwest, there was a tall, thin tower sticking up from the ground. It was a few years ago, near that tower that he was born. A curiosity was now in the back of his mind. He wanted to see if he could find the exact place where he had hatched, to see if maybe there was some trace, some hint of his past near there.
His very next thought was to fly off towards the tower. He’d get there in a matter of minutes. However, a more sentimental side of him decided against that. He’d walk over there, and enjoy the surroundings more. Besides, if he were to happen upon the spot he’d hatched, it would almost certainly not be visible from the air. The clearing was likely small enough that the trees would block it out so it couldn’t be seen from above. He jumped out of the tree and landed on the ground.
There was no trail for him to follow, just a dense winding of trees and a general direction he knew to go in. The trees stood in front of him like guards blocking his path. He swiftly maneuvered around them, his flexible body able to fit through most of the gaps. However, a root sticking up out of the ground enough so that it part of it wasn’t touching snagged his foot and caused him to trip. Oboe stumbled into a bush full of thorn-covered vines. They dug into his skin enough to be extremely bothersome. He trudged on until he reached a slight break in the forest and rested against the side of a tree. The Namekian began plucking the thorns out one by one, tedious work, but necessary nonetheless.
Only a few of the spikes were in deep enough to bleed after he removed them, probably less than he could count on one hand, which was certainly saying something, as he only had four fingers. As he took them out, he could have sworn he heard some twigs snap, a few leaves crunch, but he took no notice of it. Oboe was far too busy removing the thorns to let a small animal or something bother him at a time like this. As he finished taking out one of the ones stuck in his left arm, he began to regret thinking that. An arrow out of nearby tree and landed in the shoulder of the hand he was using to pick out the thorns.
Oboe winced in pain, holding his breath and trying not to scream. The arrow had gone in deep, and blood was pouring out of the wound. He clenched his teeth and ripped the arrow out, even more blood gushed out of the cut. He examined the arrow carefully, and saw that there was some dark liquid on it other than his blood. Poison.
He wiped the blood off, though he knew the poison was now seeping into his skin. Whether or not it would have an effect on him was yet to be seen, though. Perhaps he was different enough from a human that poison meant to work on them wouldn’t affect him. Finding the perpetrator was his immediate concern. Putting the wound out of his mind as much as possible, he flicked on his scouter. A few readings of battle powers below one could be seen, though they were only small animals. And arrow pointing outside of his range of vision, however, noted a battle power of 6.5. He immediately turned around to find nothing more than a tree in that direction, though. It was perfectly still, deceptively so.
With a sharp glance at it, two thin beams of ki shot out of his eyes striking something in the trees with enough force to cause it to fall over. On the ground now was a young man, perhaps not much older than 14 or 15. He had a determined look in his eye and quickly got to his feet. He brushed himself off and took a small knife out of his pocket, then rushed at Oboe with it in one hand. The Namekian grabbed him by the arm and stopped his rush.
“You’re… you’re that demon! From the village when I was younger!” he exclaimed.
Oboe looked at him disdainfully.
~Flashback~
It was a calm evening. The sun was sinking slowly below the horizon, and a few crickets had begun chirping. And then there were the sounds of people.
It was the first time Oboe had ever met anyone before. After hatching a few days ago, he knew relatively little about the outside world other than basic things, like the fact that he needed to drink water in order to survive. He wandered around almost aimlessly for most of the day, exploring his surroundings, trying to get a better grasp on life. But the sounds made by humans were interesting to him. He’d never heard their giggles and shouts before and it intrigued him, so he went closer.
It was a small, tight knit village, with only around 15 or 16 people. Oboe watched from afar most of the evening as they carried on their activities. Eventually as it began to get dark, with only a sliver of light peaking over the tips of the trees, he turned around and walked back. It was then that someone noticed him, someone who threw a rock at the back of his head.
“It’s a demon!” he cried. “It looks just like the one that father described!”
“A… a demon?” Oboe muttered. “Is that what I am…?”
“Get out of here! Scram, shoo! Or I’ll ask father to set the dogs loose on you!” the child cried again. He pelted Oboe with another stone. As another stone came flying at him, he spun around and caught in one hand, then crushed it into little more than dust. The boy had a fearful look on his face and ran back to his village with cries of “Father! Father! I saw a demon! A demon!”
Within a few days, the small village had moved away, though he always kept it in the back of his thoughts what that boy had said. If anyone ever asked him what he was, he always replied, “A demon.”
This was the same boy as before. Only now, he was much older. Of course, he wasn’t the only one who’d grown. Oboe plucked the knife out of the boy’s hand and dropped it on the ground.
“I remember you now,” Oboe said. “You’re the first human I met. Have you just been wandering around for the past three years?”
“We’re nomads! We’re supposed to wander around,” he replied. “Now get off of me!”
“Why should I?” Oboe said back. “You just shot me with an arrow and the tip had poison in it. I could keel over and die in a few minutes, so why shouldn’t I return the favor?”
The boy didn’t say anything more after that. He seemed to almost freeze up at the threat of death.
“I guess I’ve got your attention now,” Oboe continued. “I’m honestly not concerned about the poison. But I do need some directions.” He released his grip on the young man’s arm. His eyes darted over to the knife on the ground, then back to Oboe’s. “Do you happen to know where the place you set up camp back then was?”
“The… the camp?” he replied shakily. “It’s a little ways down the river. There’s a clearing if you follow it long enough. Why did you need to know that?”
“There’s something I need to do there. And do you know anything about that tall pole sticking up out of the ground?”
“Karin Tower? I’ve heard lots of old legends about it. Supposedly if you reach the top of it, there’s magical water, and if you drink it, it’ll make you stronger. My father mentioned to me once that God lives at the top too.”
Oboe’s jaw dropped slightly. “God? Did you say God?” During the brief time he’d spent in the afterlife, he encountered an elderly Namekian who he known only as the God of Earth. It had long been in the back of his mind that there might have been some connection between the two of them. Of course, he’d never had the chance to prove it. Their meeting was rather brief. However, he had the opportunity to meet the old man at last, and perhaps learn a bit more about himself in the process.
Oboe let go of the boy’s hand. “That’s all I need to know,” he said, walking deeper into the forest.
Oboe put that boy out of his mind and returned to his travels. Judging by what he had said, there was likely a river somewhere nearby. He closed his eyes and listened carefully to his surroundings.
There wasn’t much to be heard. A few crickets were chirping, and a small animal, maybe a chipmunk or the like, was scurrying around in the trees. However, there was a faint rumbling sound, a very distinct one only made by one thing: running water. It seemed to be a ways in front of him, perhaps nearly a mile away. But at the very least, he knew it was there.
He continued along through the forest, and the trees finally began to thin out. As he walked, there seemed to be less and less of them in his path. At last he came to the edge of it. A small stream trickled down in front of him, probably not more than two meters wide. The water was clear enough to see beneath it. A few fish could be seen going about their daily activities. Oboe looked down at them for a moment then returned his attention to the rest of his surroundings. He continued walking downstream until at last coming to the clearing the boy had mentioned.
There was very little sign that any people had ever been there, but the evidence was still in the area. There were a few shards of broken pottery strewn among the grass and leaves, as well as an arrowhead lying on its side.
Oboe walked again deeper into the forest, passing through the clearing as he went. It was around mid afternoon now, and he’d spent perhaps most of his morning wandering around. Moving a branch to the side, he at last found what he was looking for. Near the middle of a clearing was something very familiar looking. Spreads across a small section of ground were a few thick shards of eggshell.
~Flashback~
Dark. Everything around him was dark. Something in the back of his mind told him it wasn’t supposed to be like, that, though. It was supposed to be warm and inviting; light. That same something in the back of his mind drove him to try and force his way out of the darkness. He took one tiny fist and slammed it up against the barrier that was between him and the rest of the world. With a hollow thud, the barrier split down the middle, letting a sliver of emanate through a newly opened crack. He struck it once more, and this time it cracked once again. The two cracks collided with one another and a bit of eggshell fell through and landed on top of his head. With a little more thrashing about, continuing to batter the walls of the egg, the entire thing was reduced to little more than a few rather large pieces of shell that he pushed his way out of.
He could see the bright burning sun in the sky above him, beaming down with that light he’d yearned for so greatly on mere moments ago. He took in his first breath of air and let it all sink in. It had felt like an eternity he’d been trapped in that egg now, but it had all changed. Now he was outside of it, lying on the grass and enjoying his first few minutes of life. Each one was precious, something he wouldn’t forget for the rest of his time in this world, and perhaps even beyond it as well. However, he was also rather tired from breaking out of his small, oblong prison and stretched out on the ground. He rubbed his eyes, then closed them with a loud yawn, drifting off to a peaceful sleep.
This place honestly held little more than sentimental value to him. It was a good place to stop on his trip, but there were other things that he needed to attend to. Climbing Karin Tower before dark was one of them. The lack of trees meant it was easy to see it from where he was standing. It seemed even more ominous and tall than before now that it was highlighted against the setting sun. No matter how far he looked up at it, the top never came into view, a cover of thick clouds preventing anyone from seeing further up.
Such a structure was bound to be immense challenge to climb, something he certainly found himself looking forward to for whatever reason. He trudged on through the wilderness heading off in the direction of the tower.
In less than an hour he found himself at the base of it. There was a small clearing around the tower, and it would make the perfect place to rest should he need to. Now, though, he was too anxious to even consider taking a break. He took one more look up the tower, the top of it still not visible from where he was. Oboe placed one foot on the tower and hugged it tightly. He inched up until he could place a foot on a segment of it sticking out slightly, connecting one part of the totem to another. He drove his claws into the side of it and started a slow but steady ascent.
Every few minutes or so, he’d look both up, then down, making sure he was able to keep at least one of the two in plain sight. However, it eventually got the point where the ground couldn’t be seen either, hidden by a thick cover of clouds he’d climbed through only minutes before. He looked out at the rest of the world and saw the sun still continuing to set. His goal now was to get to the top before it was all the way below the horizon. Feeling slightly invigorated by setting a time for himself to finish, he sped up his ascent, climbing it perhaps twice as fast as before.
A few stars could be seen in the sky now, but it didn’t matter to Oboe. Just above him was the very top of the tower, supposedly the place where magical water that would increase his strength was, as well as God himself. The top of it was a dome like structure with small holes in the bottom to let anyone climbing up inside of it. Oboe grabbed into the rim of one and pulled himself up.
He was now in a room with many small pots lining it. There was no one else in the area that he could see. However, there was an open doorway with a staircase leading up, perhaps to another floor of the structure. He walked out it and climbed the steps. For some reason, he seemed to be running out of breath rather quickly. The wind up here was raging with such force he almost thought it might knock him down. As he reached the top of the steps, he could see an open area built within the structure, an altar with elephants holding onto a vial of some sort.
That must be it, Oboe thought. He walked over to the altar, though thought in the back of his mind that it was strange he hadn’t seen any other people. Surely there would be someone besides him up here. In the end, he ignored his suspicions and grabbed the water off the top of the altar.
The bottle was nothing short of beautiful. It was decorated with intricate drawings, crisscrossing it in every direction, most of which consisted of little more than squiggled line and the like. But every one of them continued on in the same pattern, circling around the container. On the very top there was a much plainer cork. Oboe grabbed hold of it and was about to twist it off, but as soon as he touched it, a fur-covered foot came flying towards him, knocking the bottle out of his hands.
It took him a moment to realize what happened. It had been blindingly fast, so quick even he could hardly see it. But now there was a cat standing on two legs with the bottle situated on the top of his wooden cane.
“Hunh?” Oboe stuttered. “I thought God was supposed to live at the top of this tower, not some stupid cat.”
“I’d mind your manners if I were you,” the cat said. Oboe of course thought nothing of it. It certainly wasn’t the first cat he’d met that could speak. He’d just come to accept over the years that most things that walk like a person talk like them as well. “After all, if you expect to meet God at any point, it would be wisest to behave more respectfully in the presence of your superiors.”
“My superior? You think you’re my superior?”
“Perhaps not strength wise,” the cat replied, licking it paw. “But I’m much older and wiser than you. Youth like yourself are always rather arrogant and refuse to listen to the words of a stupid cat I suppose. Even if they happen to know more about you than you do yourself.”
“What are you saying?” Oboe responded. “What would you know about me?”
“Trust me, I know a lot. My name is Karin, and I’ve been watching the world below from here for around 900 years now, almost twice as long as God himself has been. And I’ve been keeping an eye on you, making sure you don’t get into to much trouble. I always thought that the Great Demon King’s child would prove to be nothing more than it for this world, but it would appear that you haven’t quite been following in his footsteps. After all, you certainly wouldn’t bother looking for God if you were treading down the path of evil. You’re driven by curiosity, not the resentment that Daimaô had. And that, I suppose, is respectable.
“However, you came here seeking two things, did you not? The other would have to be the Super Holy Water in this bottle. If you wish to have it, then come and take it.” Karin put his cane, the bottle still dangling on it. Oboe walked towards it, ready to snatch it from Karin’s paws, but the cane immediately moved to the left, just out of reach. Oboe lunged for it once more, only to have it get moved away from him.
“I thought you said I could have it,” Oboe said.
“I did. I never said I wouldn’t try to stop you,” Karin replied.
For hours, that’s the way it went. Oboe would attempt to grab the bottle only to have Karin whisk it away from him the moment he was about to reach it. He started to get more and more clever with his attempts, though, attempting to strike Karin with a blast of ki, using his Zanzoken to maneuver around him, and so on. The struggle continued on through the night, and both of them were starting to get tired. Karin kept rubbing his eyes and yawning with a bit of a meow to it. Oboe had slightly more vigor left in him, but he did realize that it was getting late.
“Why don’t we stop this for the night and I’ll let you have some dinner?” Karin said. “You can try again in the morning when it’s light outside.”
“I don’t need to eat anything,” Oboe replied. “I’ll be just fine going at it. Besides, if you’re getting tired, it just makes my chances better. I’m going to take that bottle before morning.”
“Suit yourself,” Karin said. He walked down the steps and Oboe followed behind him, looking for an opening. Fortunately for him, the cat tripped while walking down the stairs. Oboe took advantage of the opportunity and tried to grab the bottle, but it disappeared before he could grab it.
Something furry was on his head now. He looked up to see Karin’s tail dangling in front of his face, moving back and forth. “I think I’ll take a catnap,” he said with another meow-like yawn.
What a great opportunity, Oboe thought. I’ll wait until he’s asleep so I can take it. He walked back up the steps and sat down, cross-legged, waiting for those meow-like yawns to turn into purr-like snores.
Then he felt something tugging one of his antennae. Karin was playfully messing with Oboe’s antennae, and now a claw was latched onto it. Karin rolled over and the tugging turned into a wave of pain shooting through him. Oboe did his best not to scream, and held his breath, wincing slightly as he did. He couldn’t ignore this however; he had to do something. He closed his eyes in concentration and a few sparks ran across his antennae. They lit up with energy for a moment, and the current carried on to Karin. He yelped in pain for a moment, every hair on his body sticking on end. He lost his grip on the cane, and it fell to the ground with the bottle still dangling from it. With Karin momentarily stunned, Oboe bent down and picked it up, presenting it proudly to the cat.
“I told you I could get it.”
“Very impressive,” Karin said. “Well, I suppose you’ve earned your reward, then. Drink it if you want to.”
Oboe did just that and uncorked the bottle, then pressed it to his lips. It certainly didn’t taste any different than ordinary water, which he was certainly fine with. It could have been much more vile than that. He finished drinking it and placed it down on the ground. He expected to feel flooded with strength, but instead, he felt nothing. It was just as if he’d never even had it in the first place.
“I don’t feel any stronger,” Oboe said bluntly.
“Of course not. It’s just ordinary water,” Karin replied.
“What!?” Oboe shouted. “I thought this was supposed to make you stronger if you drank it!”
“Of course you did. Too bad it’s not true. The supposed power up that people get from drinking the water is actually the result of attempting to take it from me. If you try long enough, you’ll find that attempting to steal from a cat is surprisingly good training. It’s extremely good for honing your reflexes. However, as I said earlier, you’re almost certainly more powerful than me. It’s only natural that you’d be able to take it so quickly, record time to be exact, so it’s also natural that you’d get the least benefits from trying to do so.”
“So I did it all for next to nothing,” Oboe said dully.
“Well, taking that from me has proved more than one thing. It also shows that you’re worthy enough to meet God.”
“Hunh?” Oboe said perking up. “What are you talking about?”
“Up above this place is yet another sanctuary. That is where God resides. This place serves as a sort of rest stop, and since I’m here, it prevents the wicked from meeting with him.”
Oboe was barely paying attention. He was no looking up from over the side of tower. There was nothing leading up, no tower or anything of the sort.
“You can’t see it. It’s floating,” Karin said. “You need the Nyoi-bô on your back to reach it, as well as this.” Karin held up a small silver bell that had appeared seemingly from nowhere.
“A bell?” Oboe said with suspicion.
“Yes,” Karin replied handing it to him. Oboe took the bell in one hand and closed it tight. “Now you need to go to the roof. There’s a small hole in it where you can place your staff. Tell it to extend and it will take you up to God’s palace.”
Oboe went off the side of the sanctuary and climbed up onto its roof. There was a sort of notch in the center of the structure, just wide enough for his staff to squeeze in. He took the Nyoi-bô out of its sheath and stuck it in. It fit perfectly in the hole.
“Alright then, extend,” Oboe commanded. The staff immediately followed his orders and glowed a bright red, swiftly carrying him upwards through cloud after cloud. It took a few minutes to reach the top, but there was a similar notch there, and a ladder just above him. He grabbed onto it with one hand, and held his staff with the other. It started to return to its usual length, though it took several minutes for it to actually reach that size. Oboe waited for it, though his patents were beginning to wear thin.
The sun was just now peeking over the clouds below him, bathing the world in soft orange glow. It had taken him all night to catch Karin, and hopefully it wouldn’t take him all day to meet God. As soon as the staff was back to normal, he slipped it back in its case and continued climbing up the ladder. As he peeked over the top, he could see a sort of sanctuary, dotted with small gardens and a sort of palace in the very middle of it. But what immediately caught his eye wasn’t the palace, but a short black (in a very literal sense) man standing in front of it with a blank stare.
Oboe walked over to him and said, “I don’t suppose I’ve found the wrong God, have I?”
“No, no,” he replied. “You have found Mr. Popo. Mr. Popo serves under Kami-sama, but Mr. Popo is not him.”
Oboe was rather perplexed by his manner of speech. It was entirely confusing, but what he did manage to get out of it was that this man wasn’t God, but Mr. Popo, and apparently serves him in some way.
“So, I got this bell from Karin,” Oboe said holding it up. “I’m guessing I’m supposed to meet him now.”
“Ah so you have Karin’s approval. But if you wish to meet Kami-sama, you must fight Mr. Popo as well. Don’t worry, though. Mr. Popo will go easy on you,” Mr. Popo replied.
“I don’t need you to go easy on me,” Oboe said confidently.
He opened with a fast, yet strong punch. Mr. Popo, however, managed to block it with one hand. Oboe punched again, and again, Mr. Popo easily blocked it. The next time he came in with a kick, and his blank looking opponent caught it and twisted him so that he landed face first on ground.
The Namekian got up and brushed himself off, then jabbed at Mr. Popo on more time. The strange man caught it in the palm of his hand, but Oboe wasn’t done yet. A bright blue aura began to flare around him, but his opponent didn’t shudder, or even react at all. His fist crackled with sparks of ki as he struck once more, this time using an uppercut to the jaw. And this time, it hit.
Mr. Popo was caught completely off guard by the attack and stumbled back, before returning to his usual straight posture.
“That’s enough,” an echoing voice said. It apparently came from inside the palace. Through the doorway, he could see a silhouette of a rather tall figure, carrying some sort of cane. Stepping out through an arched doorway was the old Namekian god Oboe had met in the afterlife.
“I’d appreciate it if you didn’t attempt to dismember Mr. Popo,” he said. The wrinkled old God walked over to Oboe. “You’ve done well to get here, though,” he said. “I find it hard to believe it only took you a day to reach this place.”
“I catch on pretty quickly,” Oboe said. “But there are some things that I need to know. That’s what I came here for. You did say you’d tell me about myself, so are you going to or what?”
“You seem to be in quite the hurry,” God said. “Calm down and I’ll tell you. It’ll take a little while, though.”
“So, where to begin…?” God pondered. “I suppose it would be best to begin with myself. As you already know, I’m a Namekian, so what exactly would a Namekian be doing on Earth? You see, a short while after I was born, there was a terrible cataclysm that killed off the majority of us. My father sent me to Earth in a spaceship in the hopes that I’d be able to live peacefully there.
“For a time, my life was indeed peaceful. I lived in a barren wasteland called Yunzabit Heights for around 30 or 40 years in the hopes that someone might come and rescue me. Eventually, I just gave up on that and went to explore the rest of the world. It was there that I first met humans, and for a time, I only encountered ones who were kind. Eventually, though, I met those who were far more wicked. Perhaps they ended up rubbing off on me in some ways. I developed my own style of martial arts and spent much of my youth, perhaps around 200 years or more, perfecting it.
“Eventually, though, I learned of God’s existence and came here to see if he could perhaps teach me anything. The God at the time was not a martial artist like myself, but a rather a monk, and he was in advanced age. Only years remained until he would pass on. I vouched for the position, but he would never allow me to be his heir. He knew that deep down within myself, I had more evil than I ever wanted to admit.
“I tried to get rid of my evil thoughts through meditation, constantly trying to push them out of my mind, but still, they remained. Eventually I was able to get rid of my evil, though it certainly came at an expense. I was appointed to the position of God of Earth, but the evil I had expelled took physical form as Piccolo Daimao.”
Oboe was finally beginning to put the pieces of the puzzle together. However, he felt the urge to listen to the rest of the old God’s story. After all, in some respects, it was his story as well.
“For the time that he wreaked havoc on Earth, I felt I was unworthy to have my position,” he continued. “I myself was unable to stop him. Not only was his power as great as mine, but if by some chance I could kill him, it would do me no good. There exists a spiritual link between the two of us. If he were to die, so would I, and vice-versa. It’s not a pleasant thing to know that taking down evil incarnate would in turn do the same to yourself. So I waited for a time and eventually, a champion sealed him away in an electric rice cooker with a technique known as the Mafûba.
“For hundreds of years he was trapped inside of it, until some foolish human freed him. He once again brought chaos and destruction with him, and even ruled the world for a short while. As its king, he got rid of law and order, allowing the world to turn into a living hell. However, by some miracle, a champion managed to kill him.
“Moments before he died, he spit up an egg containing a child endowed with all of his memories, and most importantly, his soul. Because he was still technically alive in some way, I didn’t pass away, and instead, I became linked to his son.
“It certainly didn’t take him long to grow up; about the same span of time as you. He didn’t commit many evil deeds, but people hunted him down. After nearly dying, he laid your egg. That’s how you came into being.”
“So that makes you… something like my uncle?” Oboe responded.
“I suppose so,” God replied.
“Gee, Uncle God. What a strange extended family I have,” Oboe said, rolling his eyes. “So, I guess there’s really no other reason for me to be here, other than the fact that I don’t really have anywhere else to go. So, you don’t mind if I crash here, do ya Unko?”
“U-Unko?”
“Yeah. Unko, Uncle, whatever. That’s fine with you, right?
“Well, I suppose I don’t have any problems with you calling me that…”
“Good, good. So it’s okay with you if I stay here from now on, right? I mean, it’s a pain in the ass sleeping in that old spaceship. And you’ve got a whole palace here to yourself and Mr. Popo. I’m sure you’ve got a spare bed lying around for me or something. And since you apparently know martial arts, maybe you can teach me some of them? Either way, I’ve been up all night, so I figure it’s about time me to get some sleep,” Oboe finished with a yawn. He walked into the palace, and searched its many hallways for a place he could rest.
“You have quite a bit of work ahead of you Kami-sama,” Mr. Popo said.
“I know,” was his only response.
