A gangwar has broken out in West City. To avoid pandemonium, the Mayor has declared that anyone who is able to stop the war with as few casualties as possible, including to gang members, will be rewarded a large sum of money! But beware. Some of these gangs consist of super-powered aliens and they won't be easy to defeat.

Cado’s ball cap covered her face and dark eyes and she wandered through the streets, decked in human guard though tail left out for all to see. Saiyans were proud of their tails; it was shameful to hide it or disrespect it in any way (not to mention uncomfortable). Today, however, she wished she had put in beneath a jacket, because it attracted the attention of a scrawny man in an official looking business suit. The fallen saiyaness felt him behind her, but she did not realize she was also his target. A hand touched her should and she jerked away, turning around into a fighting stance.

“Don’t touch me, human!” her voice was rough and harsh, and the man stepped back. He was, however, more interested in this favor than his life, because he bridged the difference once again and beseeched her,

“Please, you must help; alien gangs are destroying my city. You are a saiyan! You can help. I will pay you. I will do anything if you will do this.” He fell to his knees and was almost crying.

The saiyaness cocked an eyebrow and crossed her arms, “You are the leader of this town, then… I am all too honored.” The last bit was soaked in sarcasm and she seemed disinterested.

“These aliens are not my concern. If I help you your city must surrender to me. It will be used as my base until I take this puny planet.”

The mayor began to shake and immediately jumped up from his knees. His silence translated to a no and Cado spat at his feet.

“Get out of my sight. Take care of your own silly gangs.”

The mayor yelled and began his flight, shouting something about ‘alien’ that Cado was not inclined to listen to. A human boy, smoking, walked by and Cado knocked him to the ground. Picking up his cigarette, which he had drop, the warrior took a long drag and smirked before throwing it back to him.

“Well this is quite fun. Apparently this town will be no problem to control.” The boy made a puppy-like sound when his cigarette burned him, and Cado picked him up.

“Why are you humans such cowards? You all behave like babies. Here’s an idea- why doesn’t one of you try to defeat me? I could kill everyone in this city right this very moment.”

Cocking back her arm, she threw the man through the building in front of her and turned to leave as people emerged to see what the fuss was.

Cado returned to her hideout in the slums of the city where her gear and ship were safely hidden in an abandoned building. Two gang members were fighting there, but they stopped immediately and ran for it when Cado approached. The ex-saiyaness did not react to them, but simply went to her meager home.

But there was something wrong.

An energy had been here, and things seemed out of place.

“Who has dared to enter this place,” she muttered as she glanced around, feeling for power levels.

The monkey warrior grimaced as she moved to check for her ship, which she had carefully moved here in the quiet hours of the night. Pushing aside some wood and rubble, she found it was not there.

“What!”

Sparks of electricity flashed as her energy flared with rage. Her ki manifested, a blood red aura consuming both her body and mind. Who would dare to enter the lair of a saiyan? All who dwelled here knew how dangerous she was, and that she was crazy enough to kill them for so small an offense as addressing her while she was in an ill mood, or for that matter a good mood.

The outcast let out an enraged roar, her aura making the room glow with a blood-colored light. Someone was going to die, and if her ship was damaged in any way it would be slow and miserable for the hapless victim. If they had not yet learned who they were dealing with, they would learn soon, and she dared them to test her.

“I was the most powerful saiyan in my class; a promising warrior whose strength went unmatched. Though denounced by the saiyans, they will soon understand why my peers feared me, and why they should continue to fear me despite my absence.” The harsh thought was her vow, and a saiyan warrior’s vow was not broken for any reason.

There would be blood. Vengeance was coming; it would not come like a bandit, but like a rain of fire over the city.

Cado awoke from her blind rage, surrounded by fire. She heard sirens outside of her now-collapsed hideout, where a fire squad was outside attending to the flames. Her battle gear rested nearby, thankfully fire resistant, and she retrieved it. The flames lapped at her skin and burned her, but she ignored the flames and adjusted her gear. The heat could not distract her from her new mission and obsession.

She powered up once more, her soul light retaining the tinge of red, and creating a small barrier between herself and the fire. The blood glow began to spiral towards her hand and she leapt through the wall, punching it out on her way through. The firemen were astonished, and almost forgot their task as they watched the burned, scarred warrior emerge from the fire- seemingly unconcerned.

“Ma’am, do you need medical attention?” One of them finally found the guts to speak, and Cado raised an eyebrow.

“I demand respect, human. Your kind has disrespected me for the last time. You will all leave. The last one in site will die.”

The men did not even go to their trucks. They were gone in an instant, but one fell.

“Looks like you get the prize!” she lifted the man high above her head, and an evil smile crossed her face.

“Please, please just put me down! I haven’t done anything!”

The hollow, sadistically amused laugh rang out through the city. Even the ebb and flow sounds of the evening went quiet.

“Of course I do not have to.” She placed him on the ground and allowed him to begin running. It made no difference; the woman pinned him to a wall and cackled at the sound of his back breaking.

“If I ‘had’ to, it would mean I took orders from someone, or some force I cannot control influenced my actions.”

But Cado was no longer a soldier, and her actions were not defined by those things which inspire the reason of sane sentient beings. Cado was like a fire which sustained itself, even when it seemed it should not burn. She dug the fist into the man’s back, allowing her gear to cover in blood.

The firemen’s corpse slid to the ground and Cado closed her eyes.

There were two major energy sources nearby. They were comparable to her own, but hardly enough. For whatever reason, they were close together, despite whispers of the terrible gang war (she assumed that these powers were causing the trouble, since the law enforcement was unable to help). She imagined that only an above-average power level would even dare to face her.

So these two would be the start of her search. The saiyan looked down at her hand and saw the wet blood. Wiping the hand on her face, she donned her warpaint and flew off towards the two power levels.

The half-blood landed just outside of a building from whence she had felt the power levels. She looked awful, though it was hard to tell if she felt it. Her scars were made even more terrible by the burns; the woman was like some god of fire and terror, standing there with an unstoppable fire dancing in her eye and about her person. Without must hesitation, she entered the building completely apathetic about what might happen there.

Upon entrance a grunt ran at her with a punch ready. He was sweating, as though he knew he was wasting his time. Cado put out her hand and caught him up effortlessly. A foul smell filled the air as his pants dampened in a small trail.

“You earthlings are disgusting. Where is your leader? The powerful one?”

The man pointed; he was not even able to beg for his life.

“This must be the first time you have fought alone. Unfortunately, it will be the last.” Throwing him to the ground headfirst, she stomped his already fractured skull and headed deeper into the building.

Two aliens waited there, one from Meat and the other a more generic looking species which she did not recognize at a glance. Cado did not stop for introductions.

“While I can see that you two are more capable fighters than the ones I have met on this planet, I must insist that for your own safety you give me my ship immediately. I can assure you that no harm will come to you, as I do not plan on hurting my ship.”

The two looked at each other and the warrior from Meat began in his native tongue, which Cado understood from her lessons at the saiyan academy on Vegeta.

We thought that by taking your ship we might bait our competition. The thing flicked on it’s scouter with it’s strange hand, which lacked normal digits and instead had three prongs. There was a series of beeps before the warrior took a step back. His companion had also run a scan, and they both seemed somewhat nervous. The alien, however, spoke out boldly in commonspeak.

“You are strong, saiyan, but the pair of us can match you.”

The blood on Cado’s face gave an even darker hue to her eyes; and even they glistened red as the fire kicked up around her once more.

“I might agree with you, alien, if I were so simply called a saiyan. I can assure you, however, that even the saiyans fear my power, and temper. My punishment will be unlike any you have ever endured. Your punches will make me stronger, and your taunts will be the fuel to this fiery power you see before you.” As though to confirm her statement, a few sparks of electricity erupted from her.

We shall be the judges of that, warrior! The lanky being took a fighting stance and the pair jumped into action.

“A shame,” Cado answered as she jumped to meet them.

Even when I should spare a creature, he chooses death. Destruction is my new destiny- this fire is meant to spread on winds of ignorance!

The insect met Cado first. The two were clearly amateurs; had they attacked in synch they might have caused Cado to strain herself- if only a tad.

“You have never seen real combat in your life. Your time terrifying humans has made you soft!” The half-saiyan vindicated her statement with a blast punch which sent the Meatian flying and a crescent kick which pushed the alien in the opposite direction. Both his the walls, leaving holes in them, and causing the infrastructure to creak.

“I swear on my armor that if one dent is left in that ship, you will regret it in your dying moments.” Powering up, she gave them an eerie, yet somehow charming, smile.

“But lets not be too serious!”

Bolting off at the insectoid, she grabbed his tail and swung him- like a flexible mace- into his azure counterpart. Seeming bored, she allowed the pair time to regroup, and perhaps to even formulate a proper attack. Though saiyans were trained especially to win in outnumbered situations, as their business was planet stealing and selling, she thought perhaps anything was better than the slop she had just witnessed.

What happened next she had not expected; the pair got up and began charging decently powered energy attacks.

“This is much better; it will be excellent exercise!”

Upon the release of the moves, however, Cado discovered she was not the target. Glancing in their direction, she saw her ship in the line of fire. It was too late to respond, and the whole thing was blown to bits.

“I suppose you think this should help your position? There will be no more toying, you imbeciles! This fight is over now!”

Before the aliens could answer, she fulfilled her promise. Her fist went through the abdomen of the insect, leaving him hanging by a thread. Turning to the alien, she pinned him against a wall a reeled back, but the alien stopped to speak.

“You die too, saiyan. This planet is for my people; not yours.” While he spoke he fiddled with something on his arm, pressing a few buttons before Cado crushed his skull.

As her fist hit, however, the building was blown to shreds. Rock, steel, wood, and fire piled on top of the warrior, and an emergency call went out once again.
