The Forgotten Student Difficulty: Medium Reward:+600 zeni, +5 DP, +20 all stats, +5 Rp Credits Bonus: +1 Alignment and, Roshi's Weighted Shell - Equpped as an accessory . Amplifies training by +6 strength and +6 stamina (+12 ki, 24PL) Available: Always Requirement: Must have trained under Master Roshi for 2 weeks to do this quest. Description: Master Roshi's once most promising student Akkio went missing years ago. He restored to a life of crime and evil, using the valuable martial arts techniques that Roshi taught him to wreck havoc. It has always been a thorn in the master's side. The one student he never was able to help. Roshi has told you to seek Akkio and face him in combat to see that the martial arts he teaches you, like all things, has two sides. Defeat Akkio in combat and end his reign of terror. On another day at North City, people remained busy with their work until late, earning money every second and taking every opportunity they had to make this day a bit more interesting than the last by possibly coming up with jokes or make things happen in their lives. Men and women both go to their jobs at the morning and return home at noon time up to the evening and some even later than that, kids go to their schools and kindergartens daily and return home by lunch time while the older grades might stay up and study in school until it's night time. The elders of the city just sit back and relax for their time in life is coming near to it's end and preferably some of them does sports to remain alive for a bit more than time wants them to lose that state. Every singe second that passes in this city is never wasted on any event even if it's just someone turning on the television and watching their favorite show, or whenever it's some kind of robbery done at a certain bank or some poor citizen's house. It's just too bad that no special event like a carnival or a special festival is ever happening in this city for it's tight schedule concerning business and gaining new items, for if it wasn't like that the mayor and the entire city wouldn't be so developed. It's a shame that although it's one of the largest cities in the world it was still vulnerable to the criminal's attack, just like any other city's lack of luck. While people were all concerned about their own life and current tasks, some kind of criminal was lurking behind the shadows of a large building as he was waiting for the right moment to put a bomb in under one of the market's floors - for a yet to be known reason. Those who might have saw him (or would have seen him) could have called the police and yet non managed to do that in time. Before anybody managed to do anything to prevent this guy's bomb, as soon as he was noticed his bomb was gone from his hand and he already began walking away normally. Something bad was going to happen, stuff don't just disappear like that without anybody noticing. Or do they? WC: 393. |

At the same time, in Central City, Krillin was at his home - just doing nothing in particular except for listening to music and making his lunch after successfully buying the right ingredients from the nearest market. Using the time he still had until he's recalled by Master Roshi so he could help with choosing the correct aerobics tape of the day for the old man's own dirty purposes - which was never such a long time in the first place, the human turned on the radio peacefully while the prepared food he bought was being heated in the microwave. How convenient, so many electric objects with such a small pay per week, Krillin will have to learn to stop abusing electricity so much (or rather any other kind of resource he possesses) for his own good, his money won't keep up with that and he'll be thrown out right back to Kame House, and from experience he knows well that it's not a place he wants to live at once again. As the radio played the rather new song performed by some new boy band the bald warrior tried to listen to it the least he could while waiting for his food to heat up fully - so lunch time will start already. He was hungry despite the fact he woke up two hours ago, something that triggered the early lunch time at 12 o'clock, noon time. He didn't really like boy bands, especially not the type that was played currently and it was just his luck that the radio was turned on when the song was about to end, simply because if he listened to it any further without trying to ignore it while searching for something else to do it's most likely that the song will get stuck in his head being played over and over, which is in his situation: very unpleasant. It just then happened when the road watching time came up, telling of the overall heaviness in the roads thus allowing cars to avoid driving through a harder road and easing up their time. That was the part when the story really began, following what happened at the same time at North City. WC: 760. |

The road watching time in that exact radio channel Krillin used to listen to most of the time for his favorite songs being played there (in the time he was listening to it at least) came up quite early, while the disliked song was muted for that purpose. How incredibly convenient for the flow of the story's plot, though, in a way also very satisfying. It said about the roads to Central City through Hercule City and from that one to East City - the three being very close to each other and because many visitors arrived at the two first ones for touring, it was always so hard to travel by car even if it could hover in the air. The broadcasting kept on, and at this point Krillin already began eating his lunch, after almost a full minute of heating caught up by the song played earlier. He listened carefully after the guy in the station seems to have hoped onto something odd going with the roads, and it might be good advice to listen (or at least be informed of what's going on). Obviously there are still several roads left from Central City, Hercule City and East City, but non of the above were referenced in the next few sentences by that 'Jimmy' guy. Oh crap. WC: 1,184. |

Krillin was terrified at this new piece of news that just arrived to his ears by the radio station guys, somehow foreseeing something that might happen to the human sooner or later from that moment. His appetite disappeared as soon as he heard what happened in North City although it didn't really concern him. The fact was, he had friends there. Friends who lived in North City could have died by now because of that explosion, simply due to some guy being stupid enough to cause such a disastrous event. Krillin didn't really have much time to worry about that though, because before he realized it he got the call from his master earlier than he could have predicted. It looks like now, something important was going on with this old man even though the human warrior was sure his old master was already half senile and near death soon, that is, if he didn't wish from the Dragonballs for being unable to die of age. No human lives that long, that's for sure... The phone rang soon after the old man picked up the handle and dialed Krillin's home number. The bald fighter went towards his phone while still chewing his lunch which wasn't even close to being over because of the broadcasting earlier that messed up the human's will to eat. "Hello?" He asked as he picked up the phone and waited for a response from the other side of the line, getting one immediately, even sooner than he has expected to get. "Listen up Krillin! I need you at my house this instant, there's something too important to tell you on phone!! Come here as soon as you can!!" With those words alone, Master Roshi hung up on the human leaving no traces of staying there mainly because the sound that alerts the call's over was played in repeat from the phone. Well, it looked like it was time to go for Krillin, onwards towards Kame House once again although it was one of his days off. "Lunch time will have to wait until after that... I'm not that hungry anyway, not after that anyway." With those words, Krillin grabbed a Hoi-Poi capsule and popped it on the ground - reforming into a car. Getting inside and starting the engine, he started heading towards Master Roshi's place. One problem though: he had no idea how to drive properly. Good thing that car was automatic. WC: 1,588. |

Finally arriving at Master Roshi's house after a few minutes of trying to understand how to drive this car from past experiences of looking in movies about how it's done what you should be aware of, Krillin got off from the capsule car and pressed the button in order to revert it back to it's capsule form. This new invention really does come in handy and might be even more useful than the robots currently being worked on by normal human scientists with the normal functions and the rate of advancement being the same for all other ones in the world. If it weren't for capsules, you couldn't carry your own house when going out on vacation or take your car with you to ensure it's not breaking or anything. The most common downside to this magnificent invention is, so it looks like, thievery - stealing a pack of capsules is the easiest thing a thief can accomplish, also getting him much higher profit with much less work than before these capsules were invented. After all set-ups were done with the capsule car the human made his way to the door and knocked once, noting the sign that he's there and is ready to hear out what his master wants to say. If he was really that much in a rush it could be two things: either very important or just something he can't decide on no matter how hard he tries. But judging from the tone he used... This doesn't look like the kind of perverted emergency this old man usually talks about. The door opened in great speed, almost being detached from it's place due to the force this old geezer used only to make his student a way. "Finally, you're here! Listen up Krillin. I'm guessing you heard about the explosion in North City too, right?" Not wanting to cause too much trouble, the bald warrior remained honest with his master, also trying to figure out what's bothering him so much. "Of course I have! Those bastards!... But what do we have to do with it master?" Confused at the fact his master would bring up this subject of all subjects this short fellow had no idea what was coming up next for him in this small preview of his next mission. It surely was something no normal human can accomplish, but was still in reach of these two crazy fighters' hands. "This explosion was caused by... I hate to say it, but it was by a former student of mine." You could have told from the master's expression that this was a serious matter that is not to be mocked or treated lightly. Upon hearing of the least piece of information about the criminal's identity Krillin was in shock. How can someone who have been taught by Master Roshi get to crime? "He's named Akkio, and I won't be surprised if he gathered some friends... He was never the type to actively destroy. I want you to find him and stop him and his gang. Be careful, Akkio has trained with me far more than you have, which is why I'll be sending my cousin to help you." Sounding unsure of what he just said, Master Roshi was planning on sending Jackie Chun to help Krillin in case something goes wrong. Without further question, the human warrior set out to find Akkio according to the Ki readings he might be able to keep track of. Akkio should have a high level, after all. WC: 2,169. |

The human warrior, sent and focused on his current mission making it into first priority, arrived at North City not too long after leaving Kame House. It was already the afternoon, the sky's color changing from light blue to orange slowly as time passes and the sun sets to the other side of the earth. Truth is the planet is actually spinning, but it's not too much to concern at the moment. When getting to the crime scene, the human fighter started examining the surroundings and the piles of rocks and rust that used to be a super market, 24/7 according to the broken sign. Looking at the place where there was the most gunpowder he could tell where the explosion took place exactly and how powerful it was by looking at the amount of destruction it caused. Nobody was around the area, and it was really his luck that Krillin managed to slip through the secured area in a costume he rented before getting there - looking like an investigator and thus getting permission to enter the secured area. Although, getting past the guard without an ID card required a small beating... According to the ruins, the round gunpowder and the blood on the floor, the explosion wasn't powerful enough to take down a tall building for it was a rather simple bomb that didn't take too much to create or activate. It was an easy task, slipping it into the supermarket's floor and activating it at the time of will thus creating that disaster in the city. What mattered right now was where Akkio and his gang might be hiding (if he even has a gang and wasn't working alone), or where are they heading. Looking at the round gunpowder and the small blood traces that lead out of town - it was clear that one of the guys was harmed in the explosions range and began to run away from the city. There's no citizen who will run loose out of town from being harmed, and therefore there was a reason to these traces. The bloody footsteps lead Krillin towards the road to Hercule City. If he was correct, that was going to be their next destination for Hercule City's Cafe owns quite a large amount of founding that are very tempting for criminals to take away. WC: 2,557. |

After a small investigation, Krillin came to a conclusion that Akkio was making his way towards Hercule City due to examining the ruins and the trails of blood leading out of town. Though North City was busy with a heavy working schedule thus earning it a high amount of founding and money to spar for the city, Hercule City was known for it's number 1 celebrity of the world living there: Hercule, which who the city was dedicated to and named after. This is a good enough reason to place it first in the list of richest cities in the world. The remaining and popped up question out of this conclusion would be, why haven't Akkio attacked Hercule City in the first place. Having almost no time at all to think of what to do when he arrives at the city in search for the criminal - whenever he's there or not - the human fighter set flight making sure nobody sees him in the area and made his way to the east, the direction where Satan City is located. Hopefully that support Master Roshi was talking about would arrive soon, since a former and the most promising student Master Roshi ever trained is sure to be a powerful opponent - especially for someone with not much experience with the old geezer. Meanwhile at Hercule City, Akkio and his group managed to get there by the time Krillin left North City. The method the human fighter had and that the villain of this certain story didn't have was aerial transportation, something that came in incredibly handy in this case. "Senchou*, we should hit the jackpot soon if you know what I mean." A voice of a certain guy in the small vehicle the group took was talking to another person, most likely in the same vehicle - or by the other side of the line on the phone. "Alright, keep going. This city has yet to meet... Bah, can't think of good line!! Just get in there and do as you're told!!" The conversation between the two persons, one sounding deep-voiced and serious while the other like a prankster with a normal ranged voice, not too low and not too high. These two were part of Akkio's group, and were heading towards the bank of the city to look at the deposits using some kind of mechanical instrument that they used to know the exact location where they can plant the bomb in the supermarket, cause a fuss and escape with the money in their hands. What exactly where they thinking, attacking a poor placed like that? WC: 2,992. |

(*Senchou = Unit head, Captain, Leader etc.) The vehicle currently consisting of two known people to those who read this story currently drove towards one of the banks of the city before arriving at the Cafe'. If they get lucky then this city's profit of work is slightly large and they'll do with just stealing the money from the bank, mainly because breaking into the cafe is going to be a lot harder than into this building so it seems: after all, that cafe consists of many collector's edition only and rare item exhibits that all have something to do with this city's hero, Mr. Satan, A.K.A. Hercule. The song played inside the car to have the gang enjoy their time was a certain rock song made by a weird band, some song the leader of their party really liked apparently. When getting to the bank, 5 people went out of the car for it could only carry as that much without dropping all the cash they're going to steal once they put it in the garage. Near the city building with the big Zeni symbol on the top noting it's the bank, the one looking the eldest approached the large block of stone and put his palm on it. He seemed to have good capabilities of controlling Ki, as he managed to - without trying too much and with only a shout following the action - neutralize all electricity in the bank. "Alright guys, let's move in! We're gettin' ourselves some cash!!" He said with all the joy he could have out of saying such an idiotic phrase, his subordinates almost feeling like shooting him immediately. But unfortunately, they had to endure for the reason they came here wasn't the execution of their pushover leader - but the stealing of the money they want to attain so badly. One of the guys, being as gigantic as a monster truck put his palm on the glass door and it soon snapped. The group was ready to get inside. "Let's go." "Wait a minute!!" That was when the bald fighter Krillin arrived at the scene. He finally got there, after flying for a long while as he was waiting for his master's reinforcements. This is the part where the battle between the most promising student and the current begged one begins. WC: 3,373. |

The two students of Master Roshi (one of them supported by several guys) comforted each other at last, after a flashy noon and a mission given to one of them, the other trying to foil his plans out of being choice-less. The atmosphere just turned heavier as the short human got to the scene, glaring at the group without having any idea who the one he seeks might be. The tall and wide guy made his way to the car and pressed the button to form it into a capsule. As soon as it popped, Krillin and one of the group's guys having long, messy hair clashed into each other with force. No doubt, that guy was Akkio. "Do you mind? I'm in a bit of a hurry, so buzz off, pipsqueak." The insult concerning Krillin's height came in not so long after the arrival. "Hahaha!! Pipsqueak, that's rich!! Ha... Just as much as we are, once we're done with you." Another one of the group, being quite loud made his comment, soon ranting about the small joke Akkio made about the fighter he's fighting at the moment. The two warriors jumped back as the one who made the rant rushed in for Krillin, holding a sword. Stopped the slash to the face by catching the sword before getting hit, the human fighter found himself fighting against three guys at once if not 4, the old man not being included. The giant human wearing a large coat that covers his entire body except for his hair and eyes was found a second later above the bald warrior, smashing him as he was falling on his head. As soon as he was about to crash into the hero from above, the guy with the sword backed off to let the finisher do his job. With the powerful crack on the floor, everyone were sure this was over as no signs of the small fighter being around anymore. The large one stood up just to be exploded a second later. "... Haa... Detonate, I said, and it still doesn't work." He emerged out of the hole he made in the ground, ready for round two with one of the guys taken out. It was only an instant, but Krillin kicked the guy in his throat, face and chest right before being squished. WC: 3,762. |

Shocked. The gang was completely shocked that their human wall was taken away as easily as that without any problem, for the small guy they just ganged on stood up and was more than ready to defeat them all without much hard work - except for Akkio which looked to them as if they were on equal terms if it's power that you're speaking of. "Hey... Hey, Jigo, quit joking. Jigo, seriously!!" So Jigo was the name of the human wall. The one with the sword looked angry for his friend being defeated like that and decided to pretend it's all a joke to remain calm. "Jigo!! Hey, wake up you dope!!" He started getting stressed. Akkio touched his shoulder and spoke his words. "Relax, Jacob. Jigo isn't dead, and you know it... Elder, take Jigo away and go in the bank! We'll take care of baldy..." With anger filling his eyes, Akkio rushed towards Krillin with a heavy punch straight to the stomach which was blocked, but left pain on the palms. As he was busy shaking his hands from all the blood that passed to them in that moment, Krillin got kicked and was blown off into a wall, not breaking it. Akkio was afraid of ruining the city for some reason. Jacob, the one carrying the sword was in the middle of speaking while posing a strange way, while Akkio kept Krillin busy by hitting him continuously. The two sparred for a small while until the opposing warrior began to glow, the short bald one not understand why is that. He was then kicked directly to the face and was sent flying, before noticing being smashed to the ground with his forehead open. Akkio then stepped on Krillin - from above - with all he had. What Jacob was doing was actually chanting some kind of spell that allowed Akkio to have superhero-like powers, including flight and incredible, unpredictable strength. Meanwhile, the one that remained behind, not the old man but the one who wasn't mentioned yet already got in the bank and began filling the bags with money. All of the sudden, he was knocked out, as the geezer started to run out of the bank's doors. What exactly was going on in there, Krillin was soon to find out, since the spell's time period ended with Jacob fainting. The Ki enhancing spell he bought upon Akkio was actually using his own Ki, thus causing him to faint not so long after beginning. Using advantage of his opponent's height in the air, the human used his Fire Breathing ability to burn Akkio as he was in the air. Struggling on the ground, filled with pain from his still burning body, Akkio was wide open to Krillin's new attack. WC: 4,232. |

Hopping in the air, Krillin's new attack was prepared. "Haa!!" Understanding how he could do it from watching the other students using it gradually in their own way and absorbing the Ki usage from being hit by Akkio's boosted form, Krillin managed to pull off a small trick he learned in that time, always failing before because he couldn't do it the right way. Out of his palm, a single Ki blast was formed and it was shot directly at Akkio's burned body, exploding in contact. His opponent fainted, the short warrior landed on the ground, feeling proud of himself while looking at his hand. "(I did it... I finally did it!!)" Glad at finally being able to use a proper Ki attack other than transmitting it into his limbs, the human fighter (filled with joy for some reason) made his way into the bank's broken doors, only to be struck from behind from something. The strike came to the back of his head, the center of the back to be exact, making him to lose his senses as he fainted. Waking up shortly after, an old man with blue hair and blue clothing was found by Krillin sitting near him while smoking from a pipe. Not understanding what happened, he tried to question the fighter-looking old guy was happened while he was unconsciousness. "Uhh... Excuse me sir, but... Who are you?" Looking at the awakened human, the old man started to speak as he exhaled the smoke on the man's face. "Oh, you finally woke up. Took you a small while... I'm known as Jackie Chun, the guy Roshi told you about." The two began conversing for a small while, Jackie Chun explaining to Krillin what happened after he went out. "After you fainted, I chased Akkio away. He ran, but I still captured him and his slimy friend... Somehow. I took away all the money they stole and let them go, threatening their lives so they won't do it again! Ha, yup!! This old man's still got it!" One thing was unclear. Akkio was defeated by Krillin earlier, this old man must be bluffing. "Hold on, Akkio? But, I took him out!" Jackie Chun sighed. "I see what you're saying. The old man was the real criminal Akkio, not the young one you fought against. That one named himself Akkio, for being an actual one named that way. He's Akkio Jr., the old man's son. Pretty hard to believe, isn't it?" With those words, the old man stood up, going to pull out something that looks like a Hoi-Poi capsule - one to store a car inside. Krillin wondered how is this possible this old man and his old master sound so alike, look so alike and both speak in the same manner. But before he had the time to ask this new guy about the resemblance between the two, the old man was already gone. "... So, the old man was Akkio. Seems like even martial arts that are used for bad can be passed down to those who will to learn it... Well, that could be a valueable lesson! What a day... And I didn't even eat dinner. Better go home and sleep well, or master will scold me..." Taking flight and leaving the area, Krillin went back to Central City for his good night's sleep, not remembering the way he managed to pull off the blast from earlier. Perhaps if he could train on it a little more, he could use it without absorbing Ki for usage. QUEST END WC: 4,820. |
