*Note*: This was inspired by the Pendelum Quest. After four tough weeks of training alone, Raizoku thought it would be a good idea to seek out a master to train with. "What better master on Earth than Master Roshi?", Raizoku thought to himself. He decided it was time to go find him. It was not hard to find the master on his secluded island. All it took was a three hour bus ride, a one hour train ride, and a three hour ferry ride. Not hard at all. It was an interesting journey, trying to get to the world renowned Master Roshi. Razioku's life was full of adventure, whether he goes to work a million miles away, or just a grocery store around the corner. There was never a dull moment in his life. He welcomed every new adventure in his life as a challenge to be met with great enthusiasm. On the bus ride, he drank all five of the foul tasting elixirs he had purchased on the mainland. His jet black hair stood on end, and his scars burned for several seconds as consumed them. He had immediately felt an immense increase in his Power Level. He was ready for anything. And for good reason, because on the train, he had stopped a gun-toting thug from trying to shoot the conductor. Good thing, because who knows where they would have ended up. On the ferry, he had rested uneasily. Anxiety got the better of him as they pulled in to shore, and he nearly fell out of the ferry trying to get off. Luckily, he was the only passenger on the ferry. He heard the quiet laughs of the captain and his crew, and just kept going. No use in trying to fight due to embarrassment. It wasn't worth it. He had somewhere to be. "Master Roshi, here I come", he said aloud to no one in particular. He followed the short pathway to Master Roshi's house and knocked on the door. No answer. He looked at his watch and realized that it was late. He had not even noticed the sun had gone down. He peered through the window next to the front door and saw Master Roshi sleeping with his T.V. on. "This isn't good", he thought. There was no use knocking anymore, so he just sat down by a tree next to the house and fell asleep. He dreamed of many things. Mostly food and training, He then had found himself dreaming of Kami. Of all the things he could ever dream, he never thought Kami would be one of them. The Namekian faded in and out of his mind. "Come, Raizoku. I have something to occupy your time until Roshi wakes", he heard Kami say. He couldn't open his eyes, but Kami's voice was crystal clear. Raizoku felt his body go in and out of existence, as if being brought to another plane of reality. "Master Kami, What's happening to me?", Raizoku asked. "Relax, child. I have only taken you to my Lookout. You are still as you have always been. Open your eyes. I have something to show you", Kami said calmly. Opening his eyes, he saw that he was indeed at Kami's Lookout. He was not in another plane of existence, he was just teleported via Kami's powers. It was disorienting to go from a semi-deep sleep to being instantly transported away. He tried to shake the odd feeling from his mind and focus his attention on Kami's voice. "Welcome, Raizoku. You are among a select few to come here with such inexperience in life", Kami said with what sounded like exictement. "Uh, thank you, sir. May I ask what I am doing here?", Raizoku replied hesitantly. "Please, just call me Kami. I saw that you were trying to train under Master Roshi. Obviously, he is unavailable. That gives me an opportunity to train you until he wakes. It won't be long, I just want you to try a meditation exercise", Kami said anxiously. "But I would really like to wait for Master Roshi to wake up," Raizoku said, not wanting to miss his opportunity, "Do not worry, Raizoku. He will sleep for a while. This won't take long", Kami told him. "How do I begin?", Raizoku asked. One way or another, he was getting trained. "Go to the Pendulum Room at the back of my Lookout, sit in a comfortable position, and concentrate on the Pendulum", Kami said, as he went back to watch over Earth. "Who knows, we may have another to join you, Raizoku", Kami said, looking over his shoulder. "That would be great. I'm sure two would benefit better from this training than one", Raizoku replied. He noticed that his last remark went unnoticed. Kami was in a trance of his own, watching over Earth. Raizoku proceeded to the rear of Kami's Lookout, and immediately spotted the Pendulum Room. It was easy to spot, being that it was the only one there. He sat down and folded his legs under him, staring at the Pendulum as it sway side to side. Almost immediately, he felt a sense of distant evil and violence. The trance he was in was only broken by footsteps from behind... WC: 851 |

(NOTE: This isn't the quest. This is a Personal Saga concerning Raizoku and Krillin about the same subject as the quest is.) "Retreat!! This isn't the time for this, Fefnir got injured!! I repeat, squad 8A, please retreat at once!! We have no chance of continuing with Fefnir harmed!! We need medical care as quickly as possible!! Retreat, at once!!" The bald human fighter shouted for each of his squad members to hear, for the soldier Fefnir was heavily injured from a powerful blast that landed right on his right leg. It was numb and chances are he lost all feeling of it for at least 3 months from now. The dark-toned warrior looked at Krillin with an angry look, noting he wants to keep on fighting with the others, but the human fighter didn't gave up to his comrade's powerful and honorable request: the soldiers' safety comes first, and without Fefnir's direct aim and Tank Shot - they don't stand much of a chance in this war. It was mostly troublesome because only meditating in that very room made you pick a side quickly and join the army for a fight. Wearing the army's dark-green clothes and a metal helmet on his head, Krillin carried the pink-wearing Fefnir as the squad entirely retreated from the area. =Earlier that day...= Krillin was training normally on Master Roshi's island for his days off course were still yet to come with all the extra work he requires for his skills. You couldn't call him the most experienced fighter in the world in his current state, not even close, but he surely was a powerful one with high potential - as it seems for the moment. Being more powerful than almost every one of Master Roshi's other pupils that match his time-line, Krillin was proud to bear the highest rank amongst all of the pupils he had his sessions with. Kora, a certain one who got help from the bald human not so long ago in the desert, was training way harder than before so he could get as powerful as his friend which saved his life - if not even stronger. It would be kind of a problem though, with the large gap between the powers. Training at this peaceful island, practicing punching and kicking techniques while trying to maintain Ki energy was not such a bad method of training and even proved to be quite the effective type with the weighted clothing loaned by Master Roshi for most of his pupils - Krillin included in the group. As he was progressing his training, Krillin got a strange feeling within his heart. Something probably was about to happen to this young man, although the heat of training really was a good feeling, flowing through his entire body with the flow of blood in each inch of his rather short size. Master Roshi got tired of watching his trainees all do the same thing over and over again, and decided to watch TV. Surprisingly, he fell asleep as he watched one of his favorite programs, though it wasn't something like any of the pupils even noticed their master's loss of current consciousness, for he still answered them when they called for him - even if it was nothing but Gibberish. Feeling as something is attracting his soul somewhere else, Krillin started to worry as suddenly his body started to shine. "W-What's going on?" He asked, being a bit afraid. Kora looked at Krillin and yet gave another sarcastic comment about him. "Hey, you sure you're not sweating too much? I mean come one, you're actually glowing." But just when the rest of the pupils were about to laugh at this comedic comment, Krillin looked like he was engulfed in light and flew away from the island at high speed. Wondering what just struck him while the speed prevents him from even screaming in fear from what might happen to him now, Krillin made his way slowly to Korin's Tower, and above that - all the way to Kami's temple. He seriously had no idea what was going on, which was going to be explained soon. As he found himself on Kami's Lookout all of the sudden, Krillin was still in shock, staring at the black figure standing in-front of him. Perhaps the only existence in the entire world that is not yet classified as some kind of race - Mr. Popo, Kami's personal helper, was staring straight at Krillin's face, smiling as usual. "Hello Krillin! Good to see you're here again!!" The bald, young human had seriously no idea at all what was standing in-front of him at the time. This was seriously the first time he ever set foot on the building that hovers above the sky, while he didn't even know how to fly yet - nor did he think that was possible. "Uhh... Do I know you...?" He asked, still in shock. The opposing figure in the vision didn't help him to relax at all, actually. His straight smiling face was just somehow... Peaceful, yet creepy. "I am Mr. Popo, Kami's helper. I would have the guess you were summoned by Kami himself for the Pendulum Room. Lately different fighters with high potential are seen around here for brief moments, only to get a glimpse of the Pendulum Room where they can train harder! Please, come with me." Mr. Popo said peacefully, as he led Krillin into the lookout. "Ummm... So, what is this place anyway?" Krillin asked, but Mr. Popo didn't give him the correct answer he was seeking for. Instead, he gave a simple explanation as for why he was selected to lead the human fighter into the Pendulum Room. "It is unfortunate, I must say... Kami is busy trying to find someone else to join what you are about to do. The Pendulum Room will take you somewhere in a parallel universe, but the set location of this place will take you to a war that remains for eternity. You will have to try and reduce the war in the place in some way. Please help us out with this, Krillin." Mr. Popo said, while still leading the young human. They reached their destination at last. Krillin saw nothing in the room except for a pendulum hanging from what appear to be an endless string. "So what do I do now Mr. Popo?" Krillin asked, waiting for an answer, but got non. The black creature closed the door, striking a bit more fear inside the human's heart. Thinking to himself about how bad that guy just ended up being, Krillin looked straight at the Pendulum. Before he knew it though, his quest has began for his mind was transported somewhere else. WC: 843* + 1,090 = 1,933. (*843 - Correction from the previous post.) |

Coming to his senses, Raizoku realized was no longer in the Pendulum Room. The faint sound of footsteps grew louder and louder. The sound came with what sounded like gunfire. As he shot up to his feet, he was grazed in the left arm by a bullet fired from behind him. "Get down, now!", a tall figure clad in green military battle gear shouted. He was holding a semi-automatic rifle beneath his right armpit, firing away at a target unclear to Raizoku. All he knew was that he had to get down. Now. It was unclear exactly what the soldier was shooting at. It seemed to be something concealed in a shroud of black smoke. When it faded, nothing was left but the stench of rotted flesh. "Here, take this!", the soldier said as he shoved a pistol in Raizoku's hand. Looking down to his hand, he inspected the firearm and chuckled. "Seriously now, I have no idea what's going on here. I was just in the middle of meditation training, and before I know it, I'm in a friggin' war zone. I don't know who you are, but believe me when I tell you, I have no use for a gun", Raizoku told the soldier. "Suit yourself, moron. The enemy is sending out these big, demonic looking creatures that will rip your head clean off. I don't know what they're called, but I would rather fight the ones summoning them. I would rather fight anything but them", the soldier replied with fear written all over his dirty, bloodied face. The air filled with the high pitched shrieks of pure evil, more gunfire, and the screams of the innocent. Women, children and even men screamed their last screams. He had heard enough. Feeling a sense of urgency and purpose, the young Saiyan warrior mentally prepared himself for what he believed was the right thing to do. He had taken the brief cease fire as an opportunity to collect himself and Sense the evil around him. Closing his eyes, Raizoku Sensed purity in the soldier who had come to his "rescue". "What are you doing? There's a war going on and you stop to smell the death in the air?", the soldier exclaimed. Upon further inspection, the soldier realized that the Saiyan-Human, newcomer didn't just "stop to smell the death". Raizoku appreciated his quick observation skills. He did not need to worry about him. He was a soldier. Soldiers are resourceful. He wished him well. Reaching out further with his ability to Sense, he felt the pull of evil coming from the north. It was mid-day, so this war would go on for several hours before an extended cease fire. He had a plan. It involved the help of this soldier before him, and a bit of good timing. "What is your name and what are you thinking, son?", the soldier asked Raizoku. "My name is Raizoku and I'm going to help you. What is your name?", he asked in return. "I'm Sargeant Bolan. Sargeant Mack Bolan. How can you help? You have no weapons, and you are just one man. What difference can you make? Is that a tail? What the hell are you?", Sargeant Bolan asked. He was in a defensive stance now, gun ready at the hip. Raizoku didn't have time to explain himself, so he got straight to the point. "I have some questions of my own. Who and what are you fighting? How many men do you have left? When is the next full moon?", Raizoku asked rapidly. "And yes, I have a tail", he quickly added. Frustrated, Sargeant Bolan shook his head and tried his best not to lose his temper. He lowered his weapon, and explained the situation as besta s he could. "We are fighting a war that has been going on for a very, very long time. They want to take our land. We won't let that happen without a fight. As for 'who and what' we are fighting, you would have to seek out Fefnir", the Sargeant said. "Fefnir? Who is that and where do I find him?", Raizoku asked, mentally storing the name. "He's one of our leaders. You'll find him in the city's capital. Just head ino the city and keep north. Now, to answer your other questions; we have about two hundred men left. They are spread all over the city, and our numbers are dwindling rapidly", the Sargeant told Raizoku, pain evident in his voice. Regaining his composure, Sargeant Bolan continued, "The next full moon? Why is that important?" "It just is", was all Raizoku would reply. "OK, the next full moon is in three nights. What are you thinking?", Sargeant Bolan asked. "I'm thinking we have three nights to finish this war", was the reply before Raizoku went north to the capital of the unfamiliar city. He had to find Fefnir. He only hoped that there was more help on the way. What he planned was not going to work easily without some extra help. "Aaargh!!! Ungh... F**k you!!... Lemme at 'em!! I can still fight, let me go, you idiot!!" Powerful screams were heard following heavy panting from the injured solider. Krillin, currently leading the squad carried Fenfir on his shoulder as he was running away with all of the other forces that were added to his small squad - for his capabilities within the latest day were shown to be incredibly useful for those guys. And yet, he couldn't bare the fact that if he'll be losing any more soldiers this war will end in no time at all. 200 soldiers left at the southern corridor, decreasing, while at the central base - where Fefnir was put in defense along with Krillin, over twenty thousand warriors were awaiting for command. The active thousand currently pulled back for their main attack force, Fighting Fefnir, was injured in his arm and couldn't function well with his cannons. Although he made no miscalculations with retreating the battlefield at that time, it was still hard to bear Fefnir's powerful screams for war. His love for violence was indeed at a really high level, but not as nearly as high as his loyalty for the Capital which he was put to protect by the army forces' leader. "Damn!! I won't let Harp be the only f***ing player!!! Arrgghh!!! You all suck!!" "(I'm sorry Fefnir... Please hold on until we fix your cannons!...)" =Earlier that day...= Upon arriving at the new scene, Krillin found himself standing in what appears to be a tent consisting of several messy beds inside ordered in two-floored beds pairs, an alarm light connected by electricity wires to a power revision, an alarm clock set to 5:07 AM, some clothes on the messy beds, some pictures of people or events on the white tent's wall and a candle right above the alarm clock. Near the candle was what appears to be a helmet that reminded the kind of equipment robots and androids have in several Japanese Anime and Manga series. Definitely no idea where exactly is he. It was pretty light outside, he could tell for he was at the center of the room, standing on solid ground with small traces of plants scattered around. The clouds were painted in dark yellow, completely blocking the sun's light or the moon - you couldn't quite tell if it's night or day in a new place like this that doesn't even seem to be Earth anymore. But right before Krillin even had the time to comprehend what he's been put into, he heard a powerful explosion that sounded up close and saw the gigantic mushroom-like smoke cloud that rose up to follow the boom. He didn't actually notice this at the time for he only payed attention to his current surroundings - but Krillin was wearing an army's clothes including a helmet, two black stripes on each cheek and even a rifle hung on his back. Not quite planning things ahead, Krillin rushed to the scene where the explosion came from. He thought maybe this explosion had something to do with why he was there and how he's going to get back to Earth, for the shock he received from the sudden explosion and the quick change in location easily managed to clear off his mind from the explanation Mr. Popo granted him back on Earth, before he meditated on the pendulum. Soon reaching the area, Krillin slashed his arm at the air, making way through the smoke so he could see what's up ahead, surprisingly seeing a single person, which seems to be wearing a hot pink-colored armor with two large cannons held, 1 at each hand. He turned to look at Krillin with a powerful glare. "... Huh?" The guy said, not really understanding what was going on. Why is there a stranger there all of the sudden, looking at him as if he never heard of him? So would have been asked by this guy, which had a slightly satisfied look in his eyes for some reason. Krillin then happened to see what the explosion was all about - it wasn't just the cannons but actually what the cannons hit: on the ground there was an incredibly large amount of what appears to be demon-like creatures, with only their bodies laying on the ground. If Krillin was to guess any better, he'd know that this armored person probably took them out with those cannons of his. Looking in amazement at this guy's achievement, he was about to give out a comment but was then interrupted by the dark toned guy in armor. "New soldier, huh? What're you so surprised about? You obviously knew what I'm capable of, haven't you. Or at least heard about it." He said, judging by Krillin's current clothing style. He assumed he was a new soldier that already knew who the person was, although Krillin really had no idea at all what to say right now. That guy was indeed proud of his powers, that's for sure. However, despite the guy's high confidence and apparently high name in the area, the young human had no idea who he was talking to - literally. "Uhh... Who are you exactly... Sir?" That comment was a mistake. The guy looked angry, as if something important to him was just blown up, which is pretty much what happened: his pride was taken out in an instant for he tried to make a good impression on a guy that already knows him, but failed to do so for not knowing who Krillin was or where he came from. He showed an angry face and shouted. "What do you mean who I am!? How can you be so ignorant from the world's latest news!? I'm the latest defender of Capital, the name's Fighting Fefnir! Obviously you've heard my name at least once!!" Well, what do you know. The young bald fighter came approach a celebrity, and one that really is satisfied with his place. "Woah, dude, chill! I didn't mean to make you angry or anything!! I just... Forgot, lord Fefnir! Hehe... He..." A lame show used to create a minor diversion, until Fefnir cools down a bit and Krillin can then tell him that he didn't really knew who the guy was. The human planned to explain everything later on, when he understands a bit more about where he is and how is he supposed to help with the war. Fefnir aimed one of his gigantic cannons at Krillin's face, giving a tough act. "Just watch it, new guy. You only have to follow me lead and everything will be okay." He grinned at him and turned the cannon away. Krillin was beginning to think maybe the world hates him even more, since this guy was seriously scary when it comes to threatening lives. "You're in good timing, I need to collect the weapons from these guys. Take out whatever you can find useful and bring it back to the base - guns, claws, fangs, even their limbs if necessary." A bit disappointed in the face he's being used so easily by Fefnir like that even though the two just met, Krillin looked at the demons' bodies in search for anything useful he could craft into a weapon. He was about to know about this war and why every soldier that just appears at their base is being automatically recruited. KOC: 1. WC: *843 + 1,090 + *814 + 1,223 = 3,970. |

ADBZ's AoE OG
|
He found himself wandering through the city outskirts. There was nothing but burned, abandoned buildings, rotting corpses of soldiers, women, children, and black figures whose shapes were hard to define. Seeing this only made his feeling of righteous fury that much stronger. He had to set a plan in motion as soon as possible. He only hoped that he would have the support of Fefnir and anyone else capable of getting the job done. He formulated a plan and expected it to work. He figured that it might have been a good idea to bring Sargeant Mack Bolan with him. The plan was simple and straight forward. Rally as many soldiers as possible, and have them "retreat" to a secluded area away from the city. Hopefully enough of the enemy will follow, and Raizoku would transform into an Oozaru during the full moon. There were holes in his plan that needed to be filled before he could proceed in helping the troubled city. He would have to solve each problem in a timely manner. First, there would not be a full moon for three nights. How would he survive for three nights? Raizoku immediately shook the question from his mind. "You are a warrior! You will always find a way to make it!", Raizoku's father would scream had he been there. As usual, he was right. Even from such a long distance, Raizoku heard his father giving him an earful. Erasing his father's voice from his mind, Raizoku further contemplated the current predicament he found himself in. Now, he had to figure out how he would clear the sky of the yellow smoke filling the sky. He did not know how he completely missed the fact that the sky was a thick yellow color. It wasn't yellow clouds, but yellow smoke. From the war going on, possibly. He would figure out later how he would clear the sky. Another problem was the soldiers. How would he get them to follow his plan? That was easy. He needed the support of Fefnir, the soldier that Sargeant ack Bolan spoke of. If he had his support, he was certain that he would get the man power he needed to complete what was needed to free the city from war. Women and children had no place in war. They deserved better. He would make sure they got it, even if it killed him. There was one last problem. If he transformed into an Oozaru, how would he make sure that no innocents were harmed? The only answer to that was to find a far away place where no innocent life forms lived. He hoped that he would not only survive the inevitable onslaught of the enemy, but revert back to his Hybrid form before he hurt someone who did not warrant the wrath of an Oozaru. He had to hurry. Raizoku took a moment and scanned his environment, Sensing the evil around him. He didn't need his eyes to see that nearly everything within city limits was in ruins. He didn't need his eyes to see the corpses of fallen soldiers and the innocent strewn across the streets, in homes, and even in the woods and rivers. The smell of death was overwhelming. These soldiers were not trained to fight a war with these monsters. Or were they? Either way, this had to stop. He refused to leave until he saved the city. Continuing toward the Capital, he was confronted by two dark figures lurking in the shadow of a charred building just ahead of him. "Here we go", Raizoku said as he powered up. He reached his maximum Power Level in mere seconds. He watched as the two dark figures rushed at him. He couldn't make out their form, being that they were rapidly changing shape as they charged towars him. He had to act quickly, or he would find out exactly how deadly they could be. He knew what he had to do. He placed his hands forward, palms facing forward, concentrating on channeling his Ki. He began charging up an Energy Blast in each hand, and waited until they were close. He heard the grumbling and hissing of the unknown beings as they got closer and closer. It felt like he had forever to wait until they were close enough, but he knew it was only a couple of seconds. He took the time to study their characteristics per shape-shift. One instant, they were blackened skeletal figures with razor sharp claws, and fangs. Then, they would change into crimson and black gelatinous creatures, with gooey stubs outstretched forward. Another form, they were black, dragon shaped creatures exhaling thick black smoke and fire. He was in trouble. Maybe, just maybe if they shifted back into the blacked skeletons, he could blast them away. He doubted he could kill them in jelly or dragon form. Maybe in Oozaru form he could destroy them in any form... Luckily, they shifted back into skeletal form. Raizoku pulled back, and thrust each hand forward, releasing the Energy Blasts into both of the shape-shifting creatures. They were both struck square in the chest, and shrieked wildlyas they fell back. They were somehow not changing shapes anymore. They just writhed on the ground in total agony as Raizoku walked up to them, and finished them off with two more quick Energy Blasts. "So, Ki is their weakness. Good to know", the Hybrid warrior said to himself. Raizoku did not power down. He could not afford to be caught off guard by anything. He continued through the ruins of the once beautiful outskirts of the city, and was pained by the thought of how it might have looked before the war. He could imagine women walking along the streets, taking their children to school as the men worked all day, and went home to happy families. Raizoku was further infuriated, and was that much more willing to risk his own life to put an end to the war. He knew nothing about what started the conflict that he was now a part of. When he found Fefnir, he would get answers. Until then, he would single handedly take down as many of the enemy as he could. He was only one man though, and he wasn't fooling himself into thinking he could do it alone. He would if he had to, but he hoped beyond hope that it didn't happen that way. It was time to keep moving. The yellow smoke that filled skies were getting dark. Raizoku ran through the rubble and ruin until he heard more gunfire and screams coming from up ahead. "Move, move move!", he heard a male voice scream. It was too far away to tell precisely where it came from. Unless he Sensed it. "Help! Please!", he heard a child scream in terror. Not wanting to let anyone die if he could help it, Raizoku ran toward the sounds and hoped he wasn't too late. WC: *843 + 1,090 + *814 + 1,223 + 1,150 = 5,120 |

Things were looking very bad for the squad Krillin was put in charge on. Without their cannonade Fefnir that is capable of defeating an entire city of demons on his own, the squad of revolutionaries and imperials doesn't stand much of a chance at all in defeating so many demons at once even if they still have Krillin and his Fire Breathing technique by their side. After all, Krillin was only filling up the spot for commander instead of the real general who disappeared in the war, which is why Fefnir still allowed himself to talk back at the human fighter, doesn't matter how exactly did he try to help. It was all just useless attempts to turn off fire using fuel. The hot-pink-colored suited soldier's arm was entirely injured, and without his double cannons there's no way he can shoot easily, for his shots require time to charge up so the squad learned throughout time and again of training by Fefnir's side. He was enraged and engulfed with pain, thinking that his arm might be broken but afraid of believing so. If it is, after all, broken it would be completely out of use and that's when the greatest warrior that currently protects Capital will be out of use for a considerably long amount of time, not near enough time to protect Capital. "Fefnir, I know you're angered by this, but believe me I'm just as mad as you are! That was a very dirty trick!! And if only we could strike them back with the same medicine..." Krillin told Fefnir while carrying him, trying to comfort him and to make him understand that it's not so bad that he's out of action for the while. But before he was convinced, the soldier remembered about a good plan to earn rest and to fight at the same time. "But there is!... Ungh..." =Earlier That Day...= The newly arrived and met with Fefnir Krillin, a bald human fighter, found himself carrying whatever he found out that could be a good weapon to what appears to be a military tent - including the beds and space and everything else. It was quite impressive though, how they made such a good camouflage while still carrying all of those weapons, and mainly because it was Fefnir's attack that so many demons died at once and thus new, many weapons were taken from them. When arriving at the tent, the dark-skinned guy told the bald human to drop everything he carried there and so he did. Giving out an order as soon as the opportunity was given, the commander Fighting Fefnir gave Krillin, which had not much of a choice anyway, a useful order. "Now forge whatever you can find here into a good weapon. If you do, we'll tell you this place's history, since you don't really seem like the most capable guy when it comes to history. You probably just forgot about why we're fighting monsters here anyway..." Oddly, while speaking of the monsters, Fefnir's voice lowered and got weakened - as if he felt bad for something. With his back faced towards Krillin, he walked away out of the tent to where the human fighter found him in-front of the demons. "I wonder what's up with him... And what's with this place anyway? You can't know what time is it and the only way you survive is by obeying your general's commands! Just the type of place I'd want to pick a vacation there, of course." The young human warrior told himself out of boredom while trying to craft claws, fangs and guns into what appears to be quite a useful series of weapons. It looks like recruiting Krillin to the Capital army of defense wasn't such a bad choice, for his capability of making weapons and blueprints was amazing. He could perhaps even develop a spaceship out of the organic materials everything else the demons hold is made of. A demonic weapon could be quite useful, to be honest, and is also a reason why the warrior got a good grip of this whole weapon making thing. It's not like he ever made a weapon in his past life anyway, so he can't know much about it - but he was really good at it for some reason. Suddenly Fefnir came back to check on Krillin. He looked a bit angry and then gave out a swift comment to help the human fighter with his current state of mind: "Forgot to mention. As long as you're kept here making weapons, please try not to go out of the base. We'd lose you, and you're an important soldier to Capital. Stay here unless I tell you to attack, got it?" And with that, he left the area. Truth is, hearing about that from a person with no hesitations to attack you is a warming feeling in the human heart, which inspired Krillin to improvise more and create the greatest weapons he can try to make. Who knows, if he can turn out really useful he might get a good rank in the Capital army. The human bald fighter sat inside the tent for a long time, hearing gunfire, explosions and shouts of war from the outside all the time. They never ceased to fight each other, as for why no one came to see how Krillin is doing in that time. It was getting late, the human could know, for the yellow-colored skies started to fade almost pitch black. Even if he finds a good ride, it's most likely that if he goes out he will be attacked by the enemy. Just what exactly is going on in this place anyway? WC: 5,120 + 941 = 6,061. |

ADBZ's AoE OG

"Get away from him!", said a soldier running up next to the terrified young boy. He held his weapon at the ready, with one arm across the boy's chest as a shield. He fired several rounds into the dark creature as it got closer. He riddled it with bullets, but it did not go down. It danced like a sheet in the wind, and the bullet holes closed almost instantly. The little boy screamed and tried to run behind the soldier, who kept firing his weapon into the seemingly invincible creature. As the menacing creature floated merely a foot in front of it's soon to be victims, a large ball of Ki crashed into it. The soldier took the split second given to him, and he pushed the boy further behind him, yelling, "Run! Don't look back!". The boy did not hesitate, and ran like the wind. He was almost clear of danger, when another dark creature appeared from the shadows of the woods, and nearly decapitated the boy. He ducked in the nick of time, and was fortunate enough to see another ball of Ki streak past him into the creature chasing him. He dared not waste a second to see who had helped, and just kept running. Watching the boy in another moment of danger had set the soldier's heart racing, and adrenaline pumping. As he swung his weapon around, he saw the second Energy Blast strike the creature that was dangerously close to killing the defenseless boy. He didn't have time to wonder who was helping them. He just had to watch for more of those evil creatures, should they try to go after the boy again. He trained his weapon on the first creature he had encountered, and waited for it to make even the slightest movement. It had stopped completely. He went closer to it, to see exactly what is was that tried to kill him and the young boy. From what he could tell, it consisted of a black "goo" that covered it's black skull. There was no body to speak of. It didn't matter, it was dead. Now he knew what their weakness was. He didn't have the ability to use his Ki in a combative manner, even though he was a soldier. He was a Healer. He had the ability to sacrifice a portion of his Ki to heal many different wounds. That was why he was sent out to find any survivors that might have been injured in the war. He was successful in finding the boy, but he didn't appear to have any injuries. He wasn't certain, being that the boy had fled. He had to turn back, and find the boy again. He ran past the second creature who was also dead, and went in pursuit of the boy. Luckily, he didn't have far to go. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The boy was visibly shaken by the events that had him running. He leaned up against a charred house to catch his breath. A child didn't deserve what he had been through. He had lost his parents and baby sister to the scary monsters earlier that day. He was tired. Tired from running, tired from finding places to hide, and tired of trying to find things to eat. He was starving. He had eaten everything his parents had brought with them on the way out of town. They were supposed to go near the Northern Mountains, where the war hadn't reached yet. A picnic there had been planned for weeks. As they left their home, the creatures had ambushed them, and his parents died trying to protect their children. The boy's mother died protecting his baby sister, swinging her fists wildly as she and the baby were easily overrun and killed. His father had died trying to shoot and stab his way past them, not immediately realizing that his methods were futile. The realization came when he was gutted by their claws, while he was still holding his gun and knife. The boy was too scared to pick up the wepons, but he managed to grab the basket of food and ran. That was when he found a small regiment of soldiers fighting far off from where his troubles began. He tried to follow them, but he kept losing track of them. The only sign that they were still alive however, was the constant bursts of gunfire followed by the shrieks of what must be the same monsters that had killed his family. "Why are their weapons working, but not my dad's or the soldier who tried to help me?", he asked himself. He was determined to find out. Pushing off of what was left of the house, he set out again to find the protection of the soldiers. And the answers he needed... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Raizoku found the boy and the soldier were in deep trouble. He ran alongside abandoned buildings, out of sight of the dark creature. He planned on getting a head start in the fight. As he was parallel with the creature, he saw it advance toward the boy and soldier while taking the shape of a pile of jelly. The soldier fired his weapon into it, but it was useless. The creature continued to advance. "I won't let them die. I can't", the Saiyan-Human Hybrid warrior siad to himself as he charged an Energy Blast. He had to make sure he put enough Ki into his technique to stop the creature in one shot. He released the Energy Blast as the creature came within a foot of it's targets, instantly dropping it. It didn't get back up. "One more of those ugly bastards down", he said. He watched as the soldier told the boy to run. He was happy to see that there was no hesitation. Unfortunately, the boy nearly ran into another creature. This one had nearly taken his head off. Raizoku had to react quickly. Enraged that these creatures were relentless, he released another powerful Energy Blast, hitting the creature as the boy ducked to avoid losing his head. He was surprised that he killed that creature even though he didn't fully charge his Ki. Maybe it had something to do with his emotion... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ He was on the move again. There was too much ground to cover, and he couldn't afford to follow the boy or the soldier. He was certain that the boy was safe, for now. A soldier was a soldier. He would be fine, although his weapon was useless. He had to know where he would find backup. Raizoku had bigger worries. Training his eye on what was beyond the rubble and ruin of the capital's outskirts, he saw a fire burning closer to the city. It was getting dark, but the fire was all the light he needed. He ran as fast as he could toward the blazing fire, thinking the worst. "I hope I'm not too late", he thought. Getting closer, Raizoku saw that soldiers were surrounding the tall fire. It appeared to be a heap of trees and debris, consisting of beds, books, fire wood, and clothes. The soldiers were just staring out into the open, weapons ready. They noticed Raizoku running toward them, eyes on the fire. They pointed their weapons at him and one yelled, "Stop!". He wore a puzzled expression on his face and replied, "What are you doing? You could have saved that for any survivors! Especially the clothes!" "Who are you? We've never seen you before", asked the same soldier who halted him. No soldier flinched, still aiming their weapons at him. "My name is Raizoku, and I'm here to help. I don't know how I got here in the first place, but now I am trying to make myself useful", was his reply. "We do need any help we can get. I guess you're wondering why we've set up this camp fire. The enemy managed to summon these ugly little Dopplegangers that hide in the dark. They can snatch anyone in the blink of an eye. Now, understand that they don't necessarily need the dark. They are just much stronger when it's dark", the soldier explained. "Put down your weapons. They are useless against these things. I managed to kill a few without a gun", Raizoku said. All of the soldiers chuckled. The lead soldier nodded to his group, and they lowered their weapons. He walked halfway to meet Raizoku, who walked the other half. "My men are on high alert. They are ready to shoot anthing they don't recognize as friendly. That includes you, since you're a new face. Anyhow, we know that guns don't work. That's why my men have infused their ammunition with Ki. Works just fine that way", the soldier said. He took a look at the soldiers and noticed that their hands had a deep yellow glow to them as they clutched their weapons. "Creative. I don't particularly like guns, but whatever gets the job done", Raizoku said. "We aren't skilled in Martial Arts. We are soldiers, not martial artists", the soldier said proudly. "HOOAH!", said the rest of the soldiers in unison. "Well, I can fight, not shoot. I guess we can help each other", Raizoku said in the hopes that they could help him get to Fefnir. "Fine by us, as long as you don't put us in any worse situation than we're already in. You can stay with us for the night. We will head back into the city tomorrow morning. We're going to the Capital and regrouping with our Commander", said the soldier as he shook Raizoku's hand. "I was headed the same way. I have to find a soldier named Fefnir", Raizoku told him. "Tonight is your lucky night", was the soldier's reply as he ordered his men to take turns on nightwatch. WC: 6,061 + 1,617 = 7,678 |

Squad 8A was the name of the squad Krillin was in charge of while the general was out in the war, nobody knowing what has happened to him or what's become of him - only being sure of one thing, which is if he's not coming back quickly then that must mean Harp is going to have to go out and fight once again for the lack of generals. If Harp was to go out to fight the squad won't last much, mainly because Krillin was only a substitute commander and Fefnir already lead a squad of his own in this war - making both unusable for the squad for too long, also knowing that the bald human fighter which is apparently a guest in this world isn't supposed to stay in that world for too long. Another reason to worry about this battle. At the moment, Squad 8A is focusing not only on defensive techniques but also in sabotaging the opponent's bases and equipment factors thanks to Krillin's method of creating those custom demon skin suits which allows the soldiers to sneak into the enemy's bases and work easily as their workers without being noticed. The moment they're left alone, they either try to take out every single soldier and demon from the enemy they see in their range or destroy a piece of the factory - making the creation of weapons for the enemy soldiers harder, for they can't stop the demons from being summoned. Krillin was rather confused with what Fefnir tried to tell him, for the simple fact that the squad was ambushed quite severely from all directions makes this situation of another way of fighting quite impossible to see for someone who has joined to army only that day, a few hours earlier, that is. "Wha...? There is what? You can't be serious! How are we supposed to draw them out while we're in this condition?" The human fighter asked rather more calmly than before. His condition seems to have settled down for the while. Fefnir coughed once and then started speaking. "Haa... There is a way... For us to fight and rest at the same time... But it'll be dangerous... I need a diversion from you, commander..." That was the first time from the moment Krillin was put in charge of that squad, which wasn't really long ago anyway, that the secret weapon called the bald human 'commander', showing acknowledgment. Krillin didn't really care if he was only lying so the current general will listen or if he really did decide to accept Krillin as his general. That didn't matter to him. He wanted to hear out Fefnir's plan right now, knowing that he came up with something that might help. The problem was to run away while listening to him, of course. =Earlier That Day...= Krillin, left alone in the base, after hearing what Fefnir had to say to him for forging and making weapons had his hopes set high that he will be complimented for good weapons and things he could make out of what he collected from the battlefield the bald human came across right after the hot-pink wearing general finished cleaning some demons from that place. Determined to not let down the army he was found in, Krillin started thinking of new kinds of variations of weapons he could create by himself from what was laying there, although this wasn't such an easy task without many tools that normally would just do the job for him. Even more, the human warrior didn't even have capsules with him that could keep several things in them, what could make the process of forging these claws, limbs and such into useful items the army could use in war much easier, not to mention organized. Scratching his head while staring at these weird parts, Krillin tried thinking of a creative enough way of creating useful items that would be both original and helpful. Knowing from what he saw when he arrived here, this place seems to resemble earth in a way, although Fefnir didn't look at all like a human wearing all of that weird armor. Doubtingly that was human uniforms, but what else was there to do. It then occurred to that man, how he should work. "I've got it! Maybe if I put these two together..." Krillin took two bone-like limbs, rather large in size, around the size of a regular human's forearm each and then put them together in a way resembling a boomerang. Thinking to himself about how exactly should this weapon work, he felt the bones being a bit cold and nailed them together by piercing through both and screwing them together. Perhaps this wouldn't work, but it's worth a try. Krillin went outside after his first weapon was done, holding the bone-made boomerang in his right hand. He infused his Ki with it, knowing how from his experience of learning how to breath out fire - a rather useful technique, and then threw it with a considerable amount of power. One would say, around the power of a normal soldier's power. The boomerang flew away quickly following the force of the throw he was given, thus the human warrior considering his first invention a success - even if most scientists and inventors made their best masterpieces by mistakes. "Yes! Okay, now to improve it a little." An idea already popped up in this guy's mind. What a hyper person. He swiftly returned into the base's tent and looked at the pile he was given to forge into things, quickly thinking of something he could do with the boomerang he just made up. Making that very same boomerang once more, he noticed that the screws are a bit loose even though he's been screwing them tightly into the bone boomerang's surface. That's when he found out the real way of making useful weapons in the situation he was put in. As much as he tried over and over to screw the screws into the bone-like limbs, he failed each time to make their loosened grip tighten. "*Sigh* Guess this isn't going to work if I use brute strength only, or only my mind... Well, at least I have that." Krillin told himself as he took in a deep breath, then transferring a part of his Ki to his lungs so the air he breaths will heat up to an incredible temperature. That was when he discovered it. When letting out the breath, it became fire, what he was aiming for. He was capable of doing that ever since he began his training at Master Roshi's and he learned to use Ki, simply by hard training and studying carefully how Master Roshi's Kamehameha works - someday aiming to achieve a level as high as that. Once the fiery, hot breath came out of the human's mouth it slowly made the metal's molecules spread - thus making the material weaker and somehow slimy which made the screwing process a lot easier for the fact now Krillin is capable of actually making the hot, soft metal a part of the bone boomerang. But just as he was about to unleash his plans, he noticed that something was missing in this picture. Something was simply not there anymore, before he let out his breath of fire. "Wait a minute..." As he looked at the missing thing, he was suddenly filled with relief for some reason. Lots of hard work was now going to wear off form his body, as he noticed that the bone functions like the earth's metal: it melts and reforms in heat, and so the gap between the two bones disappeared - Krillin was ready to make more items now that he's on to the method. Soon, nightfall has came. Krillin spent all day long making different kinds of items for Fefnir and the other soldiers for that is what the person told him to do, and as a new recruit soldier he has to improve his reputation in the army or the general won't like him and life for him would be harder. It's safer to choose the safest option currently even if you're not planning to stay in that place for too long, basically because the human warrior had no idea at all how long is he going to stay in that parallel universe... Or is it just an image in his mind? He didn't know, all he knew was that soon, the squad should arrive. It made sense, that they will soon arrive that is, because a squad with that kind of person as their leader is definitely not going to lose - or they'll lose their lives (probably). During the time, Krillin managed to invent a few new kinds of items and accessories, as well as weapons that could help out in the war, between them the Bug-Demon Lens, Kimerang and even Demon-Skin Suit as he calls them. It was short before the rest of the squad arrived back at the base for their day was over. To no one's surprise, Fefnir came back last amongst the crew, staying behind. When they returned, they all seemed relaxed in some way... Or rather more tired than relaxed. "... Well, must say I'm impressed. Never really thought you made weapons. Just tell me something, baldy. What the h*** are those things supposed to be and how the hell do you expect they will help us fight against bloody demons that could rip your skin off and eat it for desert?" The cannonade came up and said as soon as he saw what Krillin made. The weapons the human warrior forged were all organized well, as well as the accessories and suits he made up from the limbs of the demons which ended up being slightly useful after all - to everyone's surprise actually. All this time, they thought that this skin could be used only for information, for armory couldn't have been developed from such thin or hard-mattered demon skin which includes all those extra editions in it like jelly parts or horns and thorns. The bald human chuckled. "Hehe... I thought you might ask that, actually. You see, these suits are actually made to look like the demons I saw today, the ones you defeated in that boom." As he spoke, weirdly, the sound of gunfire and explosions kept on coming, as well as the random, undefined shouts of men fighting possibly for their lives and for protecting the country against the enemy soldiers and recruits. "If our men wears these skin suits, they can easily sneak into the enemy's base without breaking a sweat! If I'm not mistaken, then we can even sabotage their bases, if they have any..." Fefnir snapped at that moment, seeing as this soldier knows nothing of the state of the country or of the enemy's base's conditions. "What did you just say? If you're not mistaken!? If!!? Do you even realize how much weight this has!!? If you are, after all mistaken, you could send all of our a**es to hell straight, without even lifting your f***ing finger!! Better yet, why don't you just shoot us all in the heads right away!!" He was enraged heavily. The armored guy shouted at Krillin in-front of everyone in the tent, all of them extremely tired from fighting and some are still injured for some reason. Just when he was about to finish by pounding the human warrior with his enormous cannon, a certain figure entered the tent to bring in news and to let out a comment. Something big was about to happen. WC: 7,678 + 1,929 = 9,607. |

Waking up, the group that Raizoku was with got up full of renewed energy. "Rise and shine, laides! We have a job to do!", the lead soldier told his men. Of course, he didn't have to say a word. Every man was wide awake, weapons loaded and ready to move out. Raizoku was just as ready. He had a plan, but he needed the cooperation of as many men as possible. Checking his surroundings, the Hybrid warrior observed that the fire was put out, but there was barely a trace left of it. He wondered who they were hiding there tracks from. "We aren't just fighting dopplegangers. Y'know, they are being summoned by the army that's been killing our men, women and children for years," he heard the lead soldier say. "And no, I'm no mind reader. I'm just that damn good", he joked. "Can't argue that. So, how soon will we reach Fefnir?', Raizoku asked. "Soon enough", was the reply. "I hope so. I have a plan to help you", the Hybrid warrior Raizoku said with confidence. "Well, it'll be some time before we reach Fefnir. Let's hear it", the soldier said with a look of doubt. There was no use in waiting to talk to Fefnir. If these men were to help, they needed a heads up. Raizoku walked through the group of men, looking each of them in the eye as he spoke. He had to make sure they all listened to what he had planned. Their lives depended on it. "I was told that three nights after I arrived in this strange place, there would be a full moon. One night down, two to go", he told them. "What does that have to do with anything?", one soldier asked. Raizoku couldn't see which soldier it was. "I'll tell you. When I see a full moon, I have the uncontrollable ability to transform into what's known as an Oozaru. It's a scary thing to see", Raioku said in response. "Oozaru? Uncontrollable? What are you talking about? What do you mean by 'transform'?", another soldier asked. The Hybrid warrior could already tell that this would be a long day. The soldiers didn't need to know every detail of his life, just that they had to get away when he transformed into an Oozaru. He told them as much as they wanted to know, though. They had to trust him. "I can turn into a giant ape-like beast. I can do this because of my tail. I have no control over what happens when I do transform. I only know that when I return to the form you see, I can't remember what happened in Oozaru form. I'm surrounded by death and destruction", Raizoku told them, watching the look of shock cross every soldier's face. With the exception of the lead soldier. His face was stone cold. "How can this help us?" he asked. Raizoku was waiting for that question. This would either make or break these men. He had to explain it in a way that made sense. No matter what, it was a suicide mission. Even for him. There was no guarantee of success. Only destruction. "I'm hoping that during the full moon, I can transform and kill as many of your enemy as possible", Raizoku said. Again, he looked at each man but saw uncertainty this time. "What are we supposed to do?", the lead soldier asked. "I need as many of you as possible to draw out as many of the enemy as possible to an area that's secluded from the city. This has to happen during the full moon. From there, I'll transform and hopefully kill as many of them as I possibly can. You all will have to get as far away as possible from me when I transform", Raizoku told them. Suddenly, he felt dizzy. He heard a voice in his head, but couldn't immediately tell who it was from or what they were saying. "...come back...passed...", said the voice. "Who's this in my head?", the Hybrid warrior said. "Time to come back, Raizoku", he heard. It was was Kami. "I need to help these people!", Raizoku screamed in his head. "They will be fine. You're coming back", Kami said. "Noooooo!!!", the Hybrid warrior screamed as he was transported back to Kami's Place. WC= 9,607 + 723 = 10,330 (I've done what I can as Raizoku. I hope Krillin benefits.) |

It was only a few seconds before Krillin was about to meet the great cannon of Fefnir up close, without it's special abilities activated. It was only a few seconds before the human warrior wet himself from fear of a powerful guy angry at him going to pound him and probably leave a mark that would hurt in the morning. It would have been the end of the consciousness of the human for those very few moments if he would have taken the hit and the guy who came in to interrupt and report wasn't the one to save the human fighter's life. However, although one comrade was saved, another few weren't according to the report that just came in. "Commander Fefnir, reporting in! Just now, we've received a message that the troupes of Squad 3C were all defeated!! The enemy called forth a gigantic demon, one like we've never seen!! We will need your attack force for this!" Shocked, the entire fleet in the tent looked at the reporter. The soldier immediately jumped away and following were every soldier in the place. Krillin was dragged by them, for knowing this might be bad and he could surely help out if he tags along. "Damn it, why are we always that delayed!!?" The troupe ran through the battlefield until they could see the demon's gigantic body. It was quite far away, and seeing it from over there could only mean that if they won't act quickly and wisely that would be the end of all of them. That was when Fefnir's special attack came in for a surprise. "Guys, I need you to distract him while I finish this off!! I'm going to have to use both cannons for this one, so go maggots!!" He shouted as he sent both of his arms straight, each holding the cannon. He started gathering light green colored energy in each of them, eventually forming a ball of Ki in the opening of each cannon. That was the first time Krillin saw someone using Ki in such a manner, charging it up and then firing it all at once. Not even Master Roshi ever showed the skills to use such a technique, even if he did knew how to do it and never showed any of his pupils. The soldiers made their way towards the demon, shouting a powerful encouraging battle cry as they rushed forward. The human fighter however which stayed behind, couldn't help but worry for the soldiers although his body froze the moment he wanted to approach. Something was wrong with him. Fefnir looked at Krillin, still concentrating incredibly on his cannons and the gathering of Ki in each of them. His face showed caring for the soldiers, for the look in his eyes saying 'go' was more powerful than the freeze Krillin just went through, thus allowing the sending of the human into battle. The bald warrior shouted as he advanced through the trees, after the last soldier. He then took flight and went towards the demon faster than the rest of the soldiers, with Fefnir watching his potential at last. This might have been the time that the commander finally acknowledged Krillin's skill as a soldier, seeing how he acts in battle for his only task so far was the making of weapons. He thought to himself what would happen if he gets more active and then chuckled. "Hehe... If I don't watch my back, this guy might take my place. That could be funny." As he advanced towards the demon the human warrior could hear several words in his head. Lucky him though, he managed to get in there and land a single punch at the demon's enormous stomach, forcing him backwards a bit. "Haa!!!" He pushed even further. He pushed with everything he had with the forceful first he packed with all his power and unleashed upon the opposing creature. The human struggled to keep the demon pushed back as that was the only way to keep him busy. Unfortunately for him, he never managed to hear Fefnir's words noting he's about to launch his devastating attack. The soldiers who kept on injuring the demon's legs and pinned him to the ground using their new weapons all scattered away from the area the large monster was at. "Out of the way, it's coming!! Plasma Gun Shot!!" With those words, the two cannons let out large beams of thunder and Ki that were heading straight to where Krillin was. The soldiers who covered their head looked, hoping for the human to go away from there by the time the blast reaches. But then, he disappeared. Krillin woke up in the Pendulum Room after that. Mr. Popo was still there, looking at him. "Oh, so you came back! The time limit's probably been cut, or you've been defeated there." "... Wait, what...? KRILLIN PART END WC: 10,330 + 808 = 11,138. |
