The coastal town of Veltin, once a very prosperous town. It was a beacon of merchants, sailors and wealthy people, yet as disaster struck it, the wells of money and the streams of gold slowly vanished. People died in peculiar and mysterious ways, bodies vanished every day, but what was most awkward, was the arrival of the two hooded figures, who shortly before the army quarantined Veltin, dissapeared with over a thousand of the corpses and dead bodies. They were believed to be necromancers, summoners of the dead. It did not take long before these mysterious sightings reached the ears of Galactic Intelligence corporation, the major provider of intelligence and cybernetics in the galaxy. Teams of scientists and researchers were send out to the notorious costal city of Veltin. Days passed by and various recordings and many findings of those men and women were send back to the GIC headquarters. Untill every communication they had suddenly stopped and a final recording almost caused an uproar in the boardmembers' meetingroom. Logdate, 04 october 2010. We have not yet encountered the mysterious summoners of the dead, but we are making progress. We have set up basecamp close to the abandoned grocery store, yet after one week, we have not yet seen any human nor animal existence in the city. It seems as if they suddenly all vanished from the plane of existance, yet even so, there are no signs that indicate violence or any other source to work on concerning the citizens' dissapearing. My colleagues and I have been waiting for people to come to us, but after a week of waiting we now can say with certainty, that there is no longer life in this city. "That was the first message, the first recording send to our base outside the quarantine-zone," a young woman in uniform addressed the boardmembers while pushing a button on the monitor that showed them the video. "It seems that at the beginning, the city of veltin was completely deserted, professor Hunter and his team did not find a living thing," the woman continued. "Well than, this is interesting, please continue lieutenant Ion," a masked figure on another monitor spoke directly to the young woman, interested in what was really going on. This man was Chill, the ruthles and notorious chairman of Galactic Intelligence corporation. He was the one being contacted by the government to search a solution for this mystery. wc: 407 [post 1] |

The woman walked towards the center table and opened a container, pulling out a disc and entering it at the side of the large screen. She yet again pushed a button and started speaking again, hoping that the boardmembers would not get impatient, especialoly not the chairman of GIC itself. "Ladies and gentlemen, this disc contains the second recording of a week later, please do not talk during the video, as you will be informed by Doctor Hunter on what is going on out there," she diligently said, as she opened a frame on the screen and started to play the recording made by Doctor Hunter and his team of scientists and researchers in Veltin city. Logdate, 10 october 2010. We finally did it, we finally cought a glimpse of what the soldiers mentioned to be the necromancers or the summoners of the dead. They seemed rather ordinary to me, men dressed in black, with strange insignias on their chest. They had found a body of a man not far from our basecamp. As we observed what they were doing, it seemed they were re animating the body by injecting some strange black fluid with a syringe inside the body through it's veins in the wrists. Asrounished as we were, we dared to film them from a secluded place, near the old apothecary, here are those images. The recording seemed to wobble a bit, as the man that was speaking, grabbed something that was standing behind him. As he turned around again, he placed a small camcorder in front of the recording webcam and started to play the video. As he had said minutes earlier, two men in a black uniform walked towards a café and dragged a body of a young man outside. The corpse seemed to be quite intact, still not decaying properly and thus it was clear that the young man could not have died more than a few days earlier. Again, just as the professor said in the recording, a syringe with a strange black fluid was driven inside the corpses veins at the wrist and emptied completely. To a great surprise of anyone in the room, the two men ran away and it seemed the man who was filming the event was slowly creeping closer. just as the man was about to film the dead man's face, the corpses eyes opened and they gazed at the man filming it. Though the corpses seemed to be alive, it's eyes were hollow and dead, as if there was no soul. In a matter of seconds, the now returned from the dead young man attacked the camera man and bit in his arm, forcing him to drop the camcorder. Seconds later a shot was heard, followed by two other shots. The camcorder was picked up again and filmed the bitemarks on the man's arm before it was turned off. wc: 487 [post 2] |

"As you just have seen, it seems that there is no magic involved in this matter and the term necromancers seems to be quite misplaced," the young woman explained to the boardmembers."As you all saw, they injected some kind of chemical substance in to the body, but unlike our ReGen chemicals, it seems to restart a biological organism on the most basic cellular level. But because of that it is quite possible that this unknown substance could be even more advanced than our ReGen class chemical substances." "So correct me if I am wrong lieutenant Ion, but if this chemical substance used by those so-called necromancers is a substance working on a cellular level, wouldn't that mean it is very likely to have the same basical components as our ReGen but with more development concerning life functioning?" the masked man on the second screen asked the woman who was speaking in front of the board. "Yes, according to the researchers, as you will see later, this substance used by the unidentified men is indeed a variation on our ReGen project from a year ago. No further information is known though, except for what the late professor Hunter could tell us via these recordings in Veltin city," the lieutenant quickly replied at the chairman's question. "I'll continue the recording if that was all the questions you had?" "Yes, please, do continue the recording," the tyrant answered. On the screen, during the recording, the camcorder was taken away from view and it seemed the professor was walking with the recording webcam. He placed it next to a person that laid down in a bed, sweating like a boar, looking pale and dying. It seemed that that person was the camera man of earlier, easily being recognised by the bitemarks on his arm. He would often gurgle or try to scream in pain and anguish as the late professor Hunter continued to record his findings. This person here, is one of the ten researchers and scientists in my team, here at basecamp, John Watkins. He was the man responsible for the interesting filming material on the manner in which the necromancers, or better said scientists re animated the lifeless body of a young man. The wound delivered to him by the recently re animated person has started to infect and some sort of gangreen has started to occur, forcing us to perhaps amputate his arm if need be. He has a terrible fever and according to James, our biological expert, John's body is dying from the inside out. We have put him on dialysis and respitorial machines to keep him stable, but it seems that without proper help from outside, he will not make it for another week. wc: 464 [post 3] |

For now we can only hope that he can explain to us what happened exactly apart from what he has taped with the camcorder. I do believe that with this videofeed we have gathered, we could finally find out what makes those so called necromancers tick. Our team has already decided that this is no magic, rather it would be science on the level of the late Doctor Thorn, the inventor of ReGen thirteen. The documents we have assembled concerning the mysterious substance have already given us a slight inside in the reanimation process. The cells are being reactivated on their most basic level, thus creating a mindless puppet controlled by whomever created the black substance. We are also researching the unknown insignia that the two men in black were wearing. Most likely they are part of some rogue scientist team. This was Professor Hunter, over and out. "As you see, ladies and gentlemen, it seems that professor Hunter was closing in on the truth behind the whole mystery that kept going on in the coastalcity Veltin," the young woman spoke again, as she opened the slide at the side of the screen and pulled out the disc she entered a few minutes ago. She quickly opened the container again and put the disc in it while pulling out a third disc. "This is his third recording and the most disturbing one, so if you please." She opened the slide again and entered the disc, while suddenly the masked figure on the other screen started to speak, "So tell me lieutenant Ion, have you been researching this mysterious black substance as well? because it seems that if we were to gain full insight on this matter, we could analyze it and improve it at the standards of Doctor Thorn's ReGen thirteen chemicals." The young woman waited with her reply for a moment, wondering what to say to the chairman of the Galactic Intelligence Corporation without discomforting him or any of the boardmembers. "Yes, mister chairman. We are indeed analyzing the substance, using professor Hunter's findings and the sample we found inside the deserted basecamp they've set up inside the quarantine zone," she replied to the chairman's question. She walked back towards the controle panel and pushed some buttons, opening the mediaplayer to be used for the third recording. "Allright, I understand, do please continue lieutenant Ion. I am very interested on the rest of professor Hunter's finding," the chairman on the second screen answered to the young woman, awaiting the next recording of the late professor Hunter. wc: 435 [post 4] |

Logdate 17 october 2010. This is my third recording, but let me first say a few words. Fear, what is it? Is it the emotion one feels when being frightened by a schoolprank or some film in the movietheater? No, I now know fear is something far worse, something far more dark than we mere humans could ever imagine. I have now felt the true fear one could feel in his lifetime. Our cameraman, who bravely dared to record the act of one of the so called necromancers, has died four nights ago. At least, he died for a few minutes. After we placed him in a bodybag behind our tent, we heard a noise. Sending a few men to look outside, to investigate the noise, the cameraman entered the tent, he looked like the corpse he had recorded. He attacked Lucian, my assistant, biting him in the arm before John, the botologist, could pop a bullet through his heart. Lucian however had the same symptoms as our cameraman, high fever and some awry sort of gangreen. Two nights ago, Lucian died as well, only to attack John and Steven a few minutes after his demise. I had to shoot him, as well as Steven. John However was a strong and intelligent man. He demanded I would chain him to the steel bar of the well behind the tent, so I might use his change, his mutation of some sorts in the name of science, to unravel what happened when the infection as we determined it was, was regenerating the corpse. John died just last night, after he had written down his will and talked with me through the late hours of the night. The lieutenant pushed the "pause" button and watched as the boardmembers started to whisper amongst themselves. They knew this was not an ordinary thing, this was something far worse than they had anticipated. This was pure horror, for a man, a living being to take part in such attrocities was rather unheard of. "Silence!" the voice of the mysterious chairman, known to a few as Chill, bouldered like rolling thunder through the surround system of the screen. "I think it has no need to try and talk this over, this is what we should do, you understand?" The boardmembers went silent at hearing the ruthless leader's voice, knowing any reprimants would be dealt with properly and in tenfold. wc: 408 [post 5] |

I dont know what is happening, but as far as I'm concerned, the term living dead could be the perfect term to describe what happened to my colleagues who got infected or injected with the substance I was analyzing. I started to run some tests on my colleague John, who insisted to be restrained so I could find out the cause of this horrible chain of events. In my experiments, I did find out something else, as it seems that there is some kind of manipulation inside the substance and as such inside the infection itself. It seemed that there is an additional effect to the infection. After analyzing some tissue samples of John, I found out that certain mechanisms inside the cell can be mentally triggered to accelerate the regeneration and the defensive systems inside the cells, to hold off any rottingprocesses. "As you see, he was quite close to unraveling the truth, as such we decided to take over his research here inside the research facility of Galactic Intelligence Corporation. I know you are all excited to know what the chemicals could do in a contribution to our ReGen thirteen products," the young female lieutenant told the boardmembers and the chairman on the second screen. "So tell me, is it possible to controle the substance, lieutenant Ion, without causing some uncontrolled mutation or you know, dead people rising from their grave?" the chairman asked diligently, his voice warmer than normal, more smooth and full of interest. "Yes, this is all possible your lordship," the lieutenant replied, before pressing the "play" button again and showing the rest of the recording made by the late professor Hunter. "Through a bit of research after his dissapearance last week, we thought that perhaps we should let the military take over the situation and search for survivors inside the quarantine zone." "No, I will see if I can lengthen our stay inside the quarantine zone and thus start a new research, I dont want the public to know what happened there, it would raise questions that could lead to GIC in time, instantly putting us in bad daylight, is that what you people want?" the chairman loudly asked from the second screen. The lieutenant and the boardmembers instantly agreed. "Very well, now then, I will make sure that catastrophies like this one wont happen again, so I will lead the second team." wc: 410 [post 6] |

Before the meeting ended, the young lieutenant Ion opened little black box, pulling out a slightly damaged disc and showing it to the present board members and the second screen on which the chairman of GIC was present. They all awaited the young woman's explanation about why the disc was so damaged, but they had to wait, as she opened the disc reader and pulled out the previous recording, before putting in the slightly damaged one. "Ladies and gentlemen, the disc I presented to you a moment ago was professor Hunter's last recording, right before his official disappearance and the shut down by the army. I want to point out that this could be a bit disturbing, at least if you don't have the stomach for some blood," the lieutenant explained to the board members as she turned around and pushed the "play" button on the screen. Logdate, I...I can't remember. Things have happened, bad things. I can't explain, but during a storm two days ago, one of John's chains snapped, no longer being able to properly restrain him, he immediately broke free and started a wild rampage. I was able to sedate him partially, as such detaining him and I lowered him inside the well behind the base camp during his incapability to move. I can't explain it, but last night I heard strange noises, some grunting and gurgling, sounds one does not love to hear constantly. I decided to take a look in the well with my flashlight to determine if John was still in there, yet to my surprise, he still was. I could not sleep and tried to stay vigilant with all the ammo and guns we had inside the basecamp. I had no problems during the night except for those creepy noises. I had no choice to wake up early to move through the city and take a new ground to use as basecamp. ... "As I said, this was the last recording made by professor Hunter," Ion said, before turning towards the second screen on which she could see the mysterious chairman. She hoped to hear a reaction from the masked figure, but no response was given, but the silence and the humming sound of the monitor. "So tell me dear, what exactly was the cause of death? Explain to me how professor Hunter died?" Chill asked the lieutenant after her speech. "You'll know after we've seen the last recording, sir." the lieutenant answered. wc: 415 [post 7] |

A man appeared on the television, flustered, angered and full of fear and despair. He was trembling heavily as he reached for the camera on his laptop. There was nothing behind him, but a ripped open tent and several thrown over pieces of hardware and equipment. As he looked into the camera, everyone in the room noticed that he looked rather sickly and pale. His hair was rough, his eyes had red lines in them, a sign from a loss of sleep. I finally have seen the end, my dear audience. The entire quarantine was a decoy, everything was false. I came here with a team of respectable men and women who served science even till death. But now, I feel my time is coming, the necromancers have located my position, they know where I am and they are coming to get me. Please, let people know that I did everything in the name of science. Tell my daughter and my son nothing of how I died, just tell them I died with honor and dignity. Tell them, tell them I loved them with all my heart. Hey, no, NO!! ... Aaaargh, help, help me for the love of god, help m...AAARGH! "At this moment the professor made no more recordings. There was no more contact with the science team, nor professor Hunter ever since. Chairman, what is the decision on this?" the young lieutenant directed her question to the chairman, only to find out that his screen went blank. "Where is the chairman, where is he?" the boardmembers yelled and screamed, before they were answered by the young woman: "He is taking care of bussiness." ... Location: Veltin City Soldiers saluted, wearing a badge only a few recognised as being the crest of the second house of Dukes, second to the throne of planet Frieza. A man dressed in black robes and a silver mask covering his incredibly deformed face. The chairman of the GIC, the monster of Frieza and none other than the Fallen Tyrant Chill. A man bearing the medals of being an officer. "Sir, what can I do for you, sir?" the captain asked while saluting firmly. "Ease down captain. I want you to open the quarantine zone, I want you to let me and my men enter it and solve the matter, just as we agreed one hour ago, do you understand this order captain?" Chill barked at the saluting captain. "Sir, yes sir!!" wc: 415 [post 8] |

Chill walked through the city with a small detachment of soldiers, walking straight forward towards the basecamp of his dead science team. He examined the basecamp very carefully, ordering his soldiers to collect every evidence on how professor Hunter had met his end and who was responsible for this mess. Turning around, he noticed the laptop on the floor, the screen was destroyed, but perhaps its memory bank could be restored to find out what Hunter knew about the black substance used on the corpses and what was the effect on the human body. "Sir, we have found something that might interest you," a soldier yelled at the masked figure standing in the middle of the ravaged basecamp. "Good, show me what you have, soldier," the ruthless chairman answered swiftly. Right at the very end of the basecamp, a few feet away from the destroyed well, a trail of blood and fiber assumed to be from the professors clothing, was laying on the ground. Chill slowly followed the trail of pain and suffering, hoping it might lead to something interesting. After a long time of following the trail, the group of soldiers and the masked changeling reached the end of the trail, as it lead to an old warehouse near the docks. Through the thick steel doors of the old building, the sound of animalistic grunting and feint roars was heard, the sound only made by those who had passed the boundaries of nature against their own will. As soon as Chill ordered his men to open the doors, all hell broke loose. Monster, more dead than alive, rose from the shadows, tearing apart each and every soldier, clawing and biting in their flesh, ripping out their intestines and feasting on the flesh on their bones, but even so, they did not harm the tyrant, for his aura seemed to frighten them. It told them that the one standing amidst them all, was no ordinary living creature, for he was already crossing the same border as they did. He was far beyond the edge of life, residing in this world as the image of pure evil and darkness. "Tell me children, tell me where I can find your creators." wc: 375 [post 9] |

He waited a moment, untill all the mindless monsters showed him where to find the men responsible for the atrocities that happened in the city. They were working inside an abandoned apothecary. Using their science could've proven to be a great asset for GIC, so Chill decided to take a peek, as he barged inside the apothecary, crashing down the bolted door like a fresh twig. "What, what are you doing here? You there, you mindless puppets, your master orders you to anihilate this insolent intruder, do it!" the first man in the black uniform ordered the mindless and animalistic reanimated corpses that lurked behind Chill. "I dont think they will do as you ask, my dear man. you see, even the most cruel and vicious animals find their superior and frankly, by law of nature I would not define you as their superior. Children, please show him your dedication." Chill replied at the terrified scientist, who posed to be some kind of crazy necromancer. "What, what do you mean, no please NO!" the man screamed into the night when the dozens of reanimated corpses or zombies launched at him, ripping his body apart. They thore of his skin, feasted on his flesh and made him feel every possible amount of pain on every inch of his body, before pulling out his internal organs and feeding on them. "It's a harsh lesson for all of us, hahaha." While the monsters were feeding, Chill followed the hallway and ended up inside a second room behind the apothecary, where he found the second man, holding a vial of black fluid, to examine. It seemed he had stumbled accross the necromancer's laboratory, their place of work. It was here that they created the substance Chill needed so badly for his own research. The man turned around and quickly noticed the masked figure, hoping to stop Chill, he pulled out a gun and started to fire a few shots. Yet to the necromancer's surprise, the bullets bounced off his mask, not even leaving a single scratch. The diabolical tyrant looked at the man with his eyes filled with darkness. His hand rose quickly, grabbing the man's throat in the blink of an eye. "I think you know that this is where you end and I continue," Chill said while snapping the man's neck. He looked at the counter in front of him and noticed the black briefcase. As he opened it, he saw the four large vials containing the same black substance professor Hunter was examining. He ran outside and sighed as he rose to the air. "It all ends her, no longer will you freaks of nature live, as you have all served your purpose, to serve me," the changeling roared, as he created a massive black orb of ki above his head and threw it down at the city. In just mere seconds, the entire city was no more than a crater of half a mile deep. "You sacrificed yourself for me, amen." ... wc: 516 twc: 4332 [post 10] |
