Back to his home planet- Akina felt awkward now, after being on Namek for so many months. Stetrching slightly, the android hybrid sighed as he walked up the steps to his parent’s mountain lab. He could tell that neither of them would be happy upon seeing him- he had landed earlier this week, but first he wanted to drop Vlad off first. Then Akina went back to Master Roshi’s- only to find a new student, a human who was much stronger than he had ever seen in a human. A low growl had emitted from his throat when the man said calmly that he was Akina’s rival, having sensed Akina’s battle strength. It was on then, but Muten Roshi made it even stranger for the two boys. Akina and his rival, who’s name was Hiroki, would be traveling together for the next few weeks. As the master’s students would be doing training together, and Akina had told Muten Roshi there were several more things for him to take care of, Muten Roshi insisted. So now it was awkward, because his rival was also staning next to him, and he knew that his parents would feel weird with another being out here in the mountains. Hopefully they weren’t doing anything to another human while Akina was away in their grief, thinking that Akina had left them forever. The half blood placed his hand on the door’s sensor and it registered him and opened the door, with a curious thought that came to Akina’s mind, “Wait a minute, my father likely knew where I was this entire time. He has tabs on all his other subjects, why wouldn’t he have one on me? This is just not my day or my week. I just hope that he won’t go ballistic on me when I enter the place.” Hiroki was just trying to make the best of this. The human had no special abilities to speak of, no alien heritage to have made him special. He had no martial arts parents, indeed, Hiroki’s parents were total pencils, as each of them simply worked for a company. It drove Hiroki mad that they worked for someone else and that they were so weak. He would not stand for it. It was a reason that Hiroki got into the martial arts. He was always thought of along these lines with his parents. The human watched silently as Akina did what he had to do- he hated other people’s parents, they always ticked him off. Muten Roshi was fine, since he acted like a crazy old fool all the time. Yet, he could feel that Muten Roshi was still stronger than most of the human population. That made up for any other lack that the male could think of- Muten Roshi also never made fun of other people, at least to Hiroki’s knowledge. Words: 477 |

When the half blood walked in, he saw no one here. It looked practically abandoned for all purposes. A little dust, some Styrofoam ramen cups lying around. The half blood wondered if he should head to their residential house when the lights suddenly flashed on and caused him to slip into a fight stance as his parents and several inner city family friends popped out from behind paneled and yelled, “Welcome back!” Akina had an utterly surprised look on his face, and to the people gathered there, it was all too funny. He stared at them and then slowly slipped out of the stance as his mother giggled as she walked up to him, explaining that, as he had suspected, his father had planted a tracking chip with him, so they knew where Akina had went. Akina was not surprised that they knew, there could have been signs that he was going to Namek, but then again, his mother knew more about outer space than some of these earth scientists, since she lived away from this planet. But Akina knew very little about the Saiyan race, besides his unearthly appetite when it came to eating. Hiroki looked over at Akina about his parents and the half blood looked over at the male with a shrug on his face, he wasn’t aware of their creepy tracking. Still, it was nice to see that everyone here was happy to see Akina- besides, as he could see, his step father. The man was in the back and looked to be at work. He typed furiously, as though he were trying to avoid the gathered people’s talking, and drowned them out with his typing. Akina gave a mental shrug at this, an inner “meh” as he knew the man would not be happy to see his android son returned. Oh, Akina’s inner computer already saw what he worked on. He was deleting a plan to create another android. Akina knew he had to destroy that computer later. For Hiroki, the party was slightly interesting- all these scientists got together, and despite him being out of the loop and knowing little about science. The part that interested them was hearing about Akina- the wheels turned in his head as he was thinking of ways to use that. But if he was half android, as these people whispered, then that also made Akina dangerous to battle against at their level. A low sigh slid from Hiroki’s lips as he looked calmly over at Akina, who had grabbed some soda and drank it sparingly. Hiroki had water in his hand, but he suspected that Akina would grab water. The human gave a shrug and introduced himself as a fellow martial arts student and that was all the scientists needed to know. Words: 464 |

Akina smiled lightly at the people gathered and they had a short party for his return. Akina spoke briefly about his experiences, at least the scientific ones. He knew that non of these people understood martial arts in the way that he did- they associated it with the scientific ways, as Akina had found out in his youth. It was now an unspoken agreement that Akina would not speak of martial arts unless he was interested in the martial arts aspect. Oh yes, he had already done enough experiments on his own to have learned what he could, and what he had learned helped. But as all good things end, Akina knew that he had a job to do, since he had returned. One of the men stayed behind. In fact, Akina had never seen this person before. Akina tilted his head at the man for a moment before he stepped forward and spoke in a calm tone, “Mori Akina, I have heard great things of you. You traveled to another planet- saw a people that few Earthlings know. You know the aspects between science and martial arts and know how to disassociate the two. And you gained valuable experience in battle.” Akina wondered why he was being peppered with all of this, but he also had a sour expression on his face. That his parents had monitored him that much was rather disturbing, in all honesty. But Akina focused on the man as he continued after the sour expression left his face, “Well, Mori, I have a proposition for you. I want to make an item called a Sun Stone. It is an item that strengthens the one that holds it and charges up one of these ki attacks you martial art users have the ability to, to its highest level swiftly. I have broken every one that I have acquired so far, and I need another one. The only problem is, something has always come out of the rift created when you make one. You will have all the materials to make the stone- all I ask is that you give the stone to me, once it is complete. I will give you a special cloak to increase the training you do and money. What do you say, Mori?” Words: 381 |

It was quite a lot to take in at once- the man was here for business, not the party. When Akina thought back, he had not seen the man grab anything to eat or drink. The half blood raised an eyebrow and then spoke carefully after some thought on the question posed to him, "There are several things that I need before I even do this, sir. The first part," Akina said, and then pointed to Hiroki, who looked up at Akina with a confused look, "He must come with me. Hiroki and I must go to the same places as myself, on order of my master, Muten Roshi. The second," Akina now pointed at the scientist, "You are a person that is asking me to lend my skill to someone who has not given me a name. You'll need to give me your name, first, and what exactly you study. I won't help in research that I do not agree with. I'm more a martial artist than a scientists and my morals are that of a martial artiest." The man seemed to need a moment to think, as Akina waited patiently. His father, on the other hand, had finally looked up from his work to look at Akina. The look he gave was hard and angry- Akina knew that the man has raised him to think as a scientist, but Akina would always be a martial artist. The man was not someone Akina wanted to be, no matter how much the man bitched at him. Akina shifted his gaze back at the man as he had waited for Akina to look, "Very well, Akina. I can answer the name, and that guy can come with you, but my research is secret. I am Dr. Hemin. I beg you to help- the stone could be your's, if you choose, but you can make another one. It is your choice, Mori. There are few that I can turn to at this moment." Words: 331 |

The young half blood raised an eyebrow at the man. His parents, however, seemed fine with the man. The male shook his head before he said, "Fine, I will do as you ask. The fruits of our labor will be seen soon, but understand that it may take a day or two. I'll need you to tell me where to go and where this portal of your's appears. I don't want any surprises when I try to make this Sun Stone. I'll also need a Rejuvenation Tank if you know what that is. Because I have a feeling that this battle won't end so quickly." Akina would rather not rely on his transformation, but he would do so if he found the need to. Silently the half blood waited, with a calm stance and face. Hiroki, at this point, simply had the look of "why drag me into this, damnit?" Of course Akina was doing this to take revenge on the human for being so annoying. The man seemed to think about this a moment- it didn't seem all that difficult. Then a shrug as the man spoke, "Alright, then, Akina. I'll have that tank by the time you are done. I've heard of them, but I don't have the time to build one, I'll need to buy one." With that, Akina was satisfied. After he nodded his head, Akina turned to Hiroki and asked the human with a smile on his face, "Would you rather stay here with scientists and listen to them speak to each other, or fight something? I should think you know the answer yourself, Hiroki. And if you don't, then I don't know you as well as I had thought." The half blood walked out of the lab and paused outside as he looked up at the sky for about twenty seconds before Hiroki exited and muttered, "Your right, Mori. I don't want to listen to them. And I can see how you fight if you have to defend yourself. This will prove to be more useful than I had thought. Your loss, Mori, in insisting that I come along." Words: 356 |

Before Akina could leave with his Hikou, he heard the door open behind him. His step father, Dr. Hemin, and a mysterious girl appeared. She had long hair that was similar to his father's, but it was red instead of ebony. The half blood turned around as he placed on a Scouter, wondering what the trio wanted. He didn't think that he had seen the girl at the party, but she did not look like a scientist to him. In fact, she looked more like a schoolgirl, and an ebony eyebrow rose as he looked at her. What did these guys want now that Akina was about to leave? Still, he waited for one of the three to speak for a moment. After a few moments, another male appeared, who held a half burned out cigarette, which he lit and moved forward. This male's remained eyes closed as he moved, with a hand that moved into his hair. Rei's step father glared at the man, who seemed to be one of those types with slitted eyes. The doctor was the first to speak, as he saw that the others not saying a thing, "Ahem, well. It seems like I'll speak first. I forgot to give you something," the man paused as he handed over the orb and a piece of paper, which Akina looked down at and stared at for a moment before he took it, then Dr. Hemin continued, "That is what you'll make the Sun stone with- hold it up as high as you can, then it will start- and the slip of paper is my address. The others are seperate, so I'll just leave and wait for you at that address," the man paused a moment and then pulled out a machine that was one handed and had a look to it like a dragon radar, but the man handed it to Akina and said, "Almost forgot, you'll need this to look for ley energy." The man left and Akina was left with the remaining party. The cigarette man took a long drag before he finally spoke, "Dr. Mori just wanted to show you your half sister. She's been interested to see you since you left to Namek. Why that is, is beyond me. Her name is Shana," he then paused a moment to take a breath and then countered that breath with a short drag from the burning tobacco, "And I am the doctor's new assistant, Kurotsuchi. It's a pleasure to meet you, Akina." Words: 418 |

Akina was amazed at this- his parents had made a child while he was alive? He would have noticed his mother pregnant, wouldn't he? Then he wondered i his father had done anything- like use science that he had to give his mother some other kind of quickly growing child. But that seemed pointless- she seemed to be around forteen, if she was this old that fast, then she would not last very long and Akina's mother would have left the step father for that. He knew what the woman was against, and this would be one of them. But did that mean that his father had taken revenge on his wife for something that she had no contol over? His thoughts seethed on that, but he noted that she was not from a school district around here, which meant that perhaps his first thought was correct. Shana stepped forward, her fiery red hair waved gracefully in the wind before she spoke with a in a sigh in her voice, "Father is rather strange, is he not? All he speaks about is science a and you, Akina onii chan. I wanted to meet you to see what he meant. He said you could never tell that Akina onii chan was part android, and he is right. There is no way that I can think of to defiantly say that there are any machines in you. Truly, Akina onii chan, you are a piece of work. But it's also your will and your strength that captivated me. They recorded," the girl was cut off by the assistant, but it was too late, Akina had already heard what she had said. A growl slid from the half blood, nothing too primal, but his eyes glared at the name that called himself Akina's father, as he spoke sharply, "You really did do something like that. I doubt Shana would lie about that. I don't see why she would lie to me, but that you did that is unspeakable. I'm not your play thing, step father, and I'm certainly not your experiment. I live on my own, and I've already replaced all of your control devices. I found them and replaced them on Namek. And...!" Words: 370 |

Shana stopped him as she looked at him as though she wondered what what he had just said. Akina calmed himself down and spoke as he turned, "My step father, your father, made me what I am. I was a human before that, but he made me a half human, half android. His jealousy over his wife, I suppose, drove him to do what he's done to me." It did not matter, and he heard no response. He walked over to Hiroki, who seemed to flinch at Akina's sharp look. He was not in the mood to deal with this. The half blood saiyan's aura flared up as he tapped on his Scouter. And suddenly it went off. His head turned swiftly as he looked between the trio. He couldn't believe his eyes. The male turned his head away and then flared off. Hiroki followed after the half blood as he tried to keep up. The human spoke over the current, "Slow down Akina, and calm down. If you don't, you'll die, and I don't want that. Your supposed to be my rial, which means that I am the one to beat you within an inch of your life. Not this monster." The half blood shook his head before he turned his head to the male, "I know to calm down. I did only what I had to do. Shana deveres to know what he did to me. What he might do to her, and I don;t want that for a sister that I just met. If she woke up like me one day, what am I to say? But I'm calm. I just can't stand the man very much." The two of them reached a site that Akina knew would work, possibly another reason that he was chosen by this strange doctor. It was a place where the sun, even if it was setting, would shine brightly. Mountains stretched on below, and made a half bowl that allowed light to flood this area even as that sun set. As it so happened, the machine that the man had given him agreed. Akina had always this place was strange since he could fly and found this place. Words: 367 |

They made it to the peak with plenty of time. Akina held the stone up and he noted the change. The light reacted by forming a rainbow cascade inside of the softball sized 'stone'. The half blood was unsure about how long this would take, but he silently waited. The male noted that Hiroki looked rather bored, so he spoke back to the male, "Sorry, he never mentioned how long this will take." With this 'perfect' area, the stone seemed to absorb energy swiftly, as he noted that the energies within the stone moved faster and faster. It was unknown how long, but it only took the stone about five minutes. Akina had shifted hands so that one arm was not tired when the beast came through the rift that was supposed to appear. He wasn't even sure what was supposed to come through, so he inwardly shrugged. He wondered what he was to do, but it did not take long. He saw something start to flood out of the stone. Akina lifted an eyebrow and then he saw what it was. A black liquid that he did not want to touch. The ebony pool then had a growl sent through it. Hiroki, while this was happened, kept his senses going. He could feel the energies as they moved, in a way. He understood why Akina relied on that Scouter on his face- if that being tried to get away, then they could have to chase it, and the only way to track it if the being flew off. The only way to track it, as Hiroki saw it, was to track with by it's battle strength. Battle strength was not something that always determined the power of the opponent. Beceause Hiroki felt that there was something within Akina that made him stronger than he first appeared. Words: 307 |

The black liquid pooled until the growling ceased. Akina stepped back as he heard crashing and strange sounds. Akina saw no reason to leave the ball out and slipped it into one of his hip pouches that attacked in a separate belt. He then slid into a semi-stance, one that looked like an old styles of martial arts, the mantis style. Of course Akina wasn't going to use such a stance's normal attack patterns. Whatever came through was going to be put through the words, as Akina prepared to cut it into ribboned pieces with is sword that he'd gotten. What finally did come through was, and this placed it mildly, grotesque. It's head, if that is what it was, seemed a whole ten centimeters off, and stooped over a black, scaled chest. The face had two large, black beady eyes, the mouth looked to be a mass of writhing tentacles that made strange noises as it slurped in the air. It's arms were twice as long and three times as thick as a human's, with rippled muscles. The legs were in a permanent stoop under the massive chest, which looked the size of an automobile. It was mostly covered in black scales, with hands twice that of a humans with thick, sharp claws that looked to have dried, dark blue liquid on them. But what made the beast so strange was the multiple joints, which allowed it, easily, the best mobility of any creature on earth at the moment. If one could have read it's look, the monster looked utterly confused. It had never been to this planet before, and had never heard of such a lush places. Strange sniffing and slurping noises came from the face. Ah, it smelled wonderful here. And then it looked down and saw two meals. They would have to do for the moment. Yes, they at least would make a decent meal. They smelled freshed compared to this...monster's home world. Words: 327 / 3,798 |

The beast took one more whiff of the air before a sickeningly slobbering sound came from it's throat as it charged at Akina. The half blood cursed under is breath as he pulled his arm back and charged four dark sapphire balls into existence and threw the energy balls at the creature. Now Akina saw why a marital artist was needed to end this beast. Those black scales just absorbed the attacks. Akina jumped back and drew forth his sword as he heard a strange voice in his head, "Oh, prey that resists. You are what I am seeking. Come, show me what that shiny thing in your limb can do! I won't stop until I get at your intestines, prey." Energy flared up around Akina, but he did not transform, instead he forced himself to pull out all of his power and strength. The beast only seemed to become more bloodthirsty and fling out one of it's tri jointed left arm, which Akina suspected would bend in a strange way. He was correct, as he placed his arms up with a sudden burst of speed, and caught the arm. The joints became useless and Akina was able to use it's arm as a leading point with the sword. He watched the right arm, which had five joints. He seemed to get off too easily, but he continued with his slash and took the blade into the scales. It slid in easily, and a howl of pain ripped from the creature's throat. Akina then spun back and had slashed into the arm where a human's tendon was and back. The three jointed left arm fell to the rocky ground and the creature spoke, furious, in Akina's head, "You! You dared to harm my perfect body. I'll surely eat you, pest!" Words: 300 / 4098 |

Akina was confident that he had these beast easily beat- after all, look at how weak it was! It couldn't even defend its self against Akina's attacks, besides his ki. Of course, he should not have become over confident. Something flared around the beast and his Scouter flared to life as he saw the beast's battle strength shoot up to twenty thousand. How could it do that? And then Akina saw those four beam balls he had attacked with earlier come out to the surface and were flung at him at great speed. Akina cursed under his breath and ducked under them, only to to swiped in the back by the creature's clawed hands. His body slammed onto the ground and he let lose a low grunt. The claws had not dug in too deep, but there was blood that the beast could smell. Akina could not believe his Scouter as he saved his life with his speed teleport and landed a meter and a half away, his breath came out in pants. His back was now a major concern, he did not want to pass out. The creature smirked, or at least the tentacles around its mouth looked like one. It spoke in his mind again, something that started to tick off the half blood, "Your world has poisonous snakes, doesn't it? My claws are coated with venom, and should you be exposed to them, you need to kill me to remove it. You'll start to lo-" Akina wasn't going to let it go on and on. He attacked with his sword and sliced into the right arm, cutting into the delicate flesh. A howl escaped that beast as Akina pressed on, and dipped out of the five pointed arms range and stabbed at the beast's chest and tore into it's chest cavity. Words: 304 / 4,402 |

Akina's blade tore right into the beast's body as it tried to claw at him, unable to even use it's left arm. The blood was ebony like the pool had been, and spilled out onto the blade as Akina slashes. He then pulled after he had opened up the cavity. The half blood panted and stared at his sword- it was partially melted and continued to do so. How was he supposed to kill this thing? A growl rolled from his throat as he tossed the sword down and pulled his gloves off and threw them down. The beast was still wounded horribly as blood gushed out of it's wound. It's blood melted the stone, and Akina was glade he'd pulled off the gloves. He had just been lucky none of the blood touched his skin. The beast roared as it was seemed about ready to charge at Akina. But it never got far. From a pool of ebony liquid came a sort of hook. It tripped the beast and Akina threw his arms up. No blood reached him, but he stared as the hook pulled at the beast's leg, and out of the ebony rift created by the blood came someone clad in dusty blue and what, with a hand wrapped up in dark purple with a strange dagger in said hand. The other hand touched the liquid without any troubles as the person pulled themselves into view. A large sword then planted its self at the throat of the beast as the person looked at Akina- his eyes completely covered by orange tinted glasses, "Thank you, young warrior, for holding off this creature. My partner and I had trouble catching him, but now that his blood was spilled, this left arm I stole from him found it's master." Words: 300 / 4,702 |

Now Akina was just more confused. The warrior seemed to be have been waiting for someone to do this, then? Wait, what was up with that gard, it was nothing like anything Akina had seen anyone wear on Earth. The teen half blood raised an eyebrow and was about to ask what was going on when another hand came from the ebony liquid. A higher pitched grunt came from the hole, and then the body lifted into view. Much shorter than this other figure, he had lightning blond hair and Akina swore that his eyes had been made by sapphires. The person was just dressed in a black leather outfit- a cloak, a pair of pants, and boots. He also wore leather gloves like the one's the blood of that creature had destroyed that belonged to Akina. His eyes shifted to Akina before he spoke in a light tone, "Ah, then you are the warrior that held of Rik'Chak. Hurry up Ovan, and get the lad that antidote. He's pretty pale, yeah?" The one named Ovan shook his head lightly, but threw a vial of some kind of brown, murky substance to the youth. The sapphire eyed youth rolled his eyes and then walked over to Akina an forced him to drink the liquid. Akina almost gagged at the taste, but then his body went numb. The youth then stood up and shook his head, "Hurry up Ovan, the guy wanted Rik'Chak alive. If we don't hurry, the beasty will die, and then I'll blame it on you for takin' so long." The one named Ovan sighed and forced the shadowy claw to pull the beast up by the throat, as he said, "Very well. Hurry it up, then, or I'll leave you behind. You won't get stronger that way. The two then left like that. The air had a strange taste to it- Akina felt that it was not his victory. Who were those two? Ovan- he had noted the eyebrows on Ovan had looked angry. He had not noted any name given to the sapphire eye kid, nor had the kid given his own name. Akina pushed himself up, and gingerly check the sun stone. It was fine, and he smiled lightly at that. The half blood nodded his head before he moved over to a silent Hiroki. The male's body language said that he was fine, though the look on his face betrayed him. Akina pushed himself up and then started to float into the air. Hiroki followed as Akina said, "It's not like I wasn't expecting something like that, but that something exatly like that came out. I was surprised, Hiroki. But we're ready to head to that address," Akina pulled out the paper and took a look at it and saw that he lived in West City. Akina nodded his head and blasted off with Hiroki behind him. He did not blame him for being freaked out- he likely had no no idea what a Namekian looked like, either. Once the two arrived, Akina gave the man his stone and asked about the cloak he had mentioned. The man nodded and handed over the cloak that he meant and then took the Saiyan half blood to the Rejuvenation Tank that he had to allow the scatches to heal up. The half blood might as well have his mother or gather graph on some better skin, or at least one of those machines that place skin back. But he wanted the scar to remain on his back. It would be the reminder to never underestimate other beings. Words: 301 / 5,316 |
