Guldo kept watch outside the house of the mayor's daughter. Sitting in the trees, the small Basian blended in perfectly, his size and skin color offering the perfect camoflauge. His hired goon-rats were place all over the place, simple humans that never graduated and had power levels of around oh say ten to a hundred. Guldo kept watching, the young girl was inside, minding her own buisness, nineteen maybe twenty years old. Guldo whispered down to his men, "Argos, get ready to strike, Pwner, you go after him and help. The rest of you get ready to stuff her in the van.

Guldo watched as the two men got ready, Guldo watched and when the young girl turned the light off, he nodded. His men burst through the door, there were some crashes and clangs, Guldo slapped his head, never send hulking brutes to do a quiet aliens job. But as they dragged the girl out, the rest of the boys grabbed her and chucked her into the van. Guldo nodded and jumped down from the tree, piling all his men into the van, he told them to go, he would soon catch up.

Guldo stepped into the house, things all over were broken, glass smashed and precious valuables in pieces. Guldo snorted to himself, stupid goons. He pulled a written note from his pocket, finding a table, he set the note down on it and grabbed a knife, slamming it down into the note. Someone would see it, the note said,

"We have your daughter, if you want her back, then call this number 656-123-1232 and ask for her. Don't leave us hanging mayor, she has three days left."

Guldo smiled and left the house, jumping into the air, he quickly located his van, flying down to it, he opened the door and jumped in as it drove along. Guldo looked in the back and saw there was now TWO girls. One was a darker skinned girl with brown hair and eyes, Guldo turned to his men and asked, "Who the hell is this one"

One goon looked at him and said, "That's some girl, she looked at me funny boss." Guldo sighed, oh well. He turned back at them both and said, "Alright then missies, don't be moving. Otherwise it's a bullet to the brain, get me?" They nodded and Guldo smiled.

They turned into there secret warehouse, pulling the girls from the van, he quickly escorted them all inside, when this was done, he looked back at the van, with a scoff, a light green ki blast fired from his hands, the van exploded in a large boom and Guldo quickly blasted it away, into a ditch somewhere or something.

He walked back into his warehouse, going over to a microphone, it was an old FM radio tuner like thing, turning it on, he broadcasted to every channel across the city.

"We have the mayor's daughter! We have the mayor's daughter! Oh and some girl, hey you idiot! What's that woman's name?" Guldo heard the name and then he finished. "Oh ok! We have the mayor's daughter and some woman named Rosie! Mehehehehe, your city is gonna have to pay up a lot for you to get her back. Don't anybody be thinking about being a hero. I kill people for much less. Basian out."

He smiled, finishing the transmission, Basian was his codename, clever considering it was also his race. He pulled out a cell phone and sat down by the tuner, waiting for a signal of some kind.

Where is she?

Bardock looked at the clock on the wall of his kitchen and it read 6:25 PM. Rosie was usually home from the clinic by 5:30 PM. If she was going to be late, she would have called home by now. She was as punctual as anyone he had ever met in his life and that included Saiyan soldiers.

I hope she has a good reason for not calling...

The Saiyan stood up from the kitchen table and stared at the phone, willing it to ring. He was becoming more and more familiar with the strange devices that Earthlings used for communication, but it was still strange to hold something to his ear and speak through it. Saiyans were used to hands-free comm radios and other hi-tech devices.

Pacing back and forth, he decided to go outside and look for her. He put on his armor and headband, and walked out the door. When he was sure it was locked, he powered up and took to the sky at full speed.

I hope I catch her on the way home so I could give her a lift...

He wanted to make sure that he was able to see her walking, so he flew only two-hundred feet high and was relieved to avoid colliding with birds. Halfway to he clinic, he overheard a radio transmission that sounded unusual compared to the regular broadcasts.

Quote:

"We have the mayor's daughter!... Oh... some girl... What's that woman's name?... some woman named Rosie!... your city... pay up... get her back. Don't... thinking... a hero... kill people... much less. Basian out."

Rosie?

He quickly descended and approached a man sitting in his car, listening to the radio at maximum volume. Seeing the Saiyan drop in next to his car, the man pulled a gun out and pointed it at Bardock, hand trembling.

"What do you want? I have no money. I'll shoot you if I have to," the man said with sweat running down his face.

"Relax, mister. I just want to hear what's going on with the mayor's daughter," replied Bardock.

"Oh. Uh, the mayor's daughter was kidnapped by a Basian. Well, her and another girl," the man told Bardock.

"What are their names?" he asked while trying to remain calm.

The blue aura surrounding the Saiyan was flickering on and off. When it flared on again it shook the man's car, making him grab the gun again and point it at Bardock.

"Relax, I'm not going to hurt you. Just tell me their names," he said through clenched teeth.

"Th..th..their names... The mayor's daughter is named Julie... and the other woman's name... is Rosie. Please don't hurt me!" the man told him.

The only words Bardock heard were "Julie" and "Rosie".

What is Rosie doing with the mayor's daughter?

He was going to find out. First, he had to get to the mayor's office.

Guldo sat back, content with himself. The plan had been perfect, there were no flaws with it in any way shape or form, although that one Rosie woman was a slight damper on his plans, it wasn't enough to make him enjoy himself any less, he called one of the boys over, placing him at the controls and telling him to alert Guldo if ANYONE starts talking. The big brute nodded, Guldo smiled at him and handed him a cookie, the stupid man took the cookie and began nibbling on it while he sat there. Sighing loudly to himself, Guldo walked down the stairs to the middle of the room, where the two women were bound and gagged. Guldo smiled at them softly and pulled out a chair, nodding to two men they took out the gags and instantly the women started making a fit. The mayor's daughter especially.

Guldo shouted, "QUIET!" The room fell perfectly still, Guldo smiled muttering to himself, "That's better." He looked at the two women and sat down in the chair, he looked at them for a few seconds then said, "You know what? I feel rude, allow me to introduce myself, Guldo, and you ladies are?" The two girls seemed to pass a nod between them, the younger one spat at Guldo and shrieked, "We'll never tell our names to fat little pudgy bastards like you!"

Guldo's next few movements seemed instaneous, but he now hovered in front of the younger girl, a pistol cocked and inside of her mouth, Guldo spat out angrily, "I won't hesistate to put a f*cking bullet in either of your f*cking heads. I'm not Mr. Nice ol' playful Guldo. I'm Mr. You don't tell me I kill you Guldo. Now let's try this again GIRLS... I am Guldo, who are you?" He said, as he threw the pistol on a nearby table. The younger girl had tears in her eyes but she said, "My name is Julie..." Guldo smiled at her and asked her, "See was that really so hard? What about you?" He asked as he nodded his head towards the other woman, her name he already knew, but with the way HIS men operated, her name could be completely different.

Guldo smiled at her, waiting until she said, "Rosie..." Guldo clapped his hands once, landing back down on the ground and saying, "Now we all know eachother how swell! I sure hope someone calls though you two, cause you've got about ooohhh... Seven hours before I kill you... Have fun!" Guldo cackled and walked back up to his control station, the guard still nibbled his cookie as Guldo kicked him out and sat back down in his seat.

Bardock

Almost there...

Bardock was in an adrenaline fueled rage in the sky. He was flying faster than he had ever done in his life. Anything that came within a few feet of his flaring aura was burned beyond recognition. He couldn't remember the last time he felt this much anger. Looking down at the people below him, he saw Rosie walking toward a store.

"Rosie!" he called out. No answer.

In a hurry, he descend on top of a car, caving in it's roof. A man opened the door, yelling obsceneties at the Saiyan. Bardock cut off the powerful blue aura that surrounded him in flight, and ignored the man. He hopped off the car, approaching Rosie with urgency. The sidewalk was crowded, but anyone who saw him land on the car quickly moved out of his way. Those who didn't see him, were pushed aside by his overwhelming power. Though he kept them from being burned by his aura, they were still shoved out of his way by the unseen force.

"Rosie! Where have you been? I thought you had been kidnapped," Bardock said with relief.

He grabbed her shoulder to turn her around, and the woman shrieked in surprise. "Help! Help!", she yelled at the top of her lungs.

She's not Rosie...

"I'm sorry. I thought you were someone else," he said apologetically.

"Get away from me!" the frightened woman replied, rushing into the store and pulling out her cell phone.

He didn't delay a second longer. He took flight once again and continued toward the mayor's office. Frustrated with himself for confusing some random woman with Rosie, he let out a scream that made his power level flare along with the blue aura surrounding him in flight. Birds had been caught up in it again, and exploded in red puffs of blood, bones, beaks and feathers. Trying to control his Ki was the last thing on Bardock's mind at the moment.

I have to find her. I'll save the mayor's daughter if I can, but Rosie is my priority...

Streaking past airplanes at great speed, he was finally near his destination. The mayor's office building could be seen several hundred feet ahead, surrounded by police cars and S.W.A.T team trucks. Bardock thought it would be best to stay out of sight so he wouldn't get any unnecessary attention that would delay him from his goal. He flew higher and out of sight of the law enforcement vehicles, until he was directly above the mayor's office building.

I hope I can get the information I need without getting caught...

He didn't want anyone to get hurt, so he planned on being as discrete as possible in finding out where Rosie and Julie were being hidden. He landed slowly on the roof, and crept lightly toward the glass sun-roof. He crouched over the glass, and saw the mayor speaking belligerantly to a group of police officers. Across the room, there was a paper by the telephone that looked to be crumpled and dirty. It stood out from the cleanliness of the rest of the office, and he was going to read it.

What can I do to get them away from that paper? he wondered.

It hit him. He charged a small amount of Ki concentrated in his right hand and threw it across the street, hitting a dumpster. It caught on fire, but didn't spread. The noise alarmed everyone in the immediate area, including the mayor and police officers in the building. They pulled out their firearms and walked in a semi-crouch toward the exit. The mayor was sweating as if he were in an oven, but followed the police officers out of the building.

Now's my chance...

Bardock tapped the glass sun-roof with his foot and shattered it. He waited a few seconds before dropping down into the office, and waited a few seconds more to watch the door. No one was coming. Yet.

I need to hurry...

He walked in a hurry to the mayor's desk, and grabbed the paper. He read it and put it back exactly the way he found it before flying back to the roof. He then went to the front of the roof to see what the police officers and mayor were doing. Peering down, he overheard the mayor yelling at the police officers.

"How dare some alien take my little girl from my home! Call that number right away and tell him he can have whatever he wants!" he told them.

"Sir, I think it would be best to let me send my team of capable officers with a S.W.A.T. team to apprehend the criminal alien. Let's call him and arrange a meeting," said the lead officer.

"Fine. But if anything happens to my Julie, I'll have your heads!" the mayor bellowed before being escorted back inside by police officers.

Bardock had a plan now. He would wait until he found out where the Basian wanted to meet for a money swap, then he would hand out a whole new level of pain.

That bastard is gonna pay...

First, he would have to avoid being detected by the mayor and law enforcement. They were sure to see the broken glass. He hid behind an electric generator, and listen for clues to the criminal's whereabouts.

Guldo stared at the phone as it began to ring, with a small gleeful smile, he answered the phone, talking into it he said, "Hello? Mr. Mayor?" A voice blared into the phone, "You son on a bitch! Where's my daughter! Is she ok? Let me speak to her you bastard!" Guldo giggled and said, "Now now mayor, shouting isn't going to get you anywhere. But money, money can save your daughter. Let me think... Twenty million for your daughter, five thousand for the other woman? Sounds good to me." The mayor fell silent, listening intently, he could hear the mayor talking to someone, a security guard or something. After a few minutes of patient foot tapping, he heard, "Fine you bastard, twenty million and five thousand, come to the City Hall. and-" Guldo cut him off quickly with, "No, I go nowhere, you come to where I am. There is a secluded warehouse in the city, go there ALONE. Any sight of a weapon and your daughter's brains will spoil your new suit, I can assure you of that."

Guldo gave him the directions and hung up, he looked around the room, saying out loud, "Load them up, consider yourself rich men boys, hurry up now." The goons nodded and high-fived and chuckled as they tossed the women into the van, Guldo got into the passanger seat, everything was going according to plans, get his money, put the poor mayor out of his misery, then the two girls, then his men, leaving him a happy rich Basian.

Guldo quickly arrived at the warehouse, getting out. His men quickly filed in, pulling out high caliber assault weapons illegal in half the world. Courtesy of the FORMER black market. Guldo set the women in the middle of the room, looking out. Waiting for the mayor to arrive.

"Get Rico in here to clean up this mess so we can leave! Damn vandals are always breaking something around here. Send in my accountant with twenty-million and five-thousand dollars. I have to pay for that other woman, too. I should just let her die. All I want is my baby girl back.," the Mayor said to his personal assisstant.

Vandals? I can't complain. At least I can focus on finding Rosie...and Julie. The Mayor only cares about Julie and I only care about Rosie. Fair enough...

The Mayor was yelling more orders as a man in a custodian uniform came in with a broom and dust pan. When he began to sweep, he suspiciously looked over his shoulder at the Mayor as if he were ready to be scolded for doing his job. Sure enough, the Mayor barked at the man, making him flinch with every syllable.

"Hurry up, damn it! I need this room locked up so we can leave!" yelled the Mayor, spitting as he spoke.

"Y-yes, sir. Right away sir," Rico said.

The Mayor turned around and adressed the law enforcement officers surrounding his office, "Men, we have to find the warehouse that the damn Basian was talking about. Time is running out. Get your best men on the job or your asses won't work anywhere on this planet ever again! And that's a promise!"

"Sir, we'll do everything we can. My men are more than capable of taking care of some fat green alien", the lead detective said.

"Good to know. Now, where is the warehouse that the Basian was talking about?" the Mayor asked.

"There is a pier downtown that has quite a few warehouses in the area. It's sort of a warehouse district," said the detective.

A warehouse district downtown. Check.

"Let's go men. I'll bring the money and deliver it like I'm supposed to. I don't want any mishaps that'll jeopardize my baby girl," he said with fire in his eyes.

Bardock didn't wait to follow the Mayor or the law enforcement officers. He knew where the downtown pier was. Rosie had taken him there just a few days ago to show him how earthlings travel by water if they couldn't fly.

He took flight once more and powered up mid-flight. He was determined to get Rosie back no matter what the cost was. She had done everything within her limited power to help Bardock recover from his severe injuries when he landed. She treated him as someone who needed help, and not someone who would hurt her because he wasn't from Earth.

Rosie, even if it kills me I will make sure no one hurts you...

He ascended higher into the air so he would stay out of sight of the human naked eye, but kept the ground below him in sight so he could find the warehouse. Once again, his aura burned everything that came within a couple of feet of him. He couldn't control it, and he honestly didn't care as long as he found Rosie before it was too late.

He passed airplanes, birds, and a space ship. He wondered howlong it would be before he would see open space again. Realizing he was getting lost in his thoughts of dishing out revenge, he descended several hundred feet lower. The city was in sight once again. Finally, he was the traffic along most of the streets that signified that he was approaching the downtown area.

The Mayor won't make the deadline, whatever it is. If he was in such a rush, then he must have to be down here soon. I can feel her, he thought. I'm getting closer.

There it is! he said to himself as he spotted several warehouses below.

He pointed his head downward, and flew over the nearest warehouse. He didn't know exactly which warehouse Rosie and Julie were in, but he would find out soon enough. He landed as softly as he could and listened for any voices in the vicinity.

Nothing...

He came to the realization that he couldn't just barge into every warehouse until he found her. If he picks the wrong warehouse once, his chances of getting Rosie back alive and well would be slim to none. Though he felt her presence, he couldn't pinpoint her exact location.

She's close...

As if luck were on his side, he heard the creaking of a warehouse door slide open. He quickly took flight to remain out of sight, and saw a man lighting up a cigarette in front of the warehouse closest to the water. The Saiyan flew directly above the man took his time to study him. The man was probably in his mid-fourtie's in Earth years, lightly tanned skin, and his light brown hair was balding. The way he carried his automatic rifle lazily over his shoulder suggested he was former military and probably just a mercenary.

This will be far too easy...

Bardock went to the roof of the warehouse and found a hole in it. He lightly walked to it, bent down and peered inside the warehouse. He saw two men talking to each other and laughing at something that was out of his sight. One man was blowing a kiss at the unseen target.

That bastard will pay...

Bardock was certain that the men were looking at the two women that they held captive. He didn't want to feed his fury much longer, but it was becoming increasingly difficult to maintain self control. He decided he needed a plan that would reduce the chances of someone getting hurt. He was sure he could take out the mercs with no problem, but he wasn't sure if he could do it without hurting them.

Then again, I should tear their hearts out...

He remembered the promise he made to himself when he met Rosie. He promised that he would do his best to refrain from violence unless someone's life depended on it.

Well, Rosie's life depends on it...
Looking over the front door, he waited to make his move.

[I was really tired. It was all I had in me.]

Guldo sighed, tapping his foot slightly against the floor. Such an impatient Basian he was, why was the mayor taking so long, he checked the phone, eh... Ten more minutes and then the girl died, Guldo looked around, there was an odd presence, hmmmm... He glared but then quickly forgot about it, he looked at his watch, then his phone began to ring again, he smiled and answered it with a cheerful grin, "Hello?" A voice could be heard, Guldo smiled again. "Ah Mayor, how great to hear your voice, no tricks correct? I have two men surrounding your daughter right now, they fire only on my orders." More talking, Guldo nodded and then finished with, "Very well, i'll be out shortly."

Guldo set the phone down on the table, hovering into the air, telling all his men, "Keep a close eye out, I don't trust that fat bastard, one false move, put a bullet through the girl's head. But leave the lass, she has nothing to do with the mayor." The men all grunted and nodded, Guldo nodded, floating out the door onto the docks. He could see the mayor, but a slight grin passed through his face, he could sense the energies around him, so the fat mayor had broken his deal. Oh well... His loss.

Guldo continued hovering until he was close to the mayor, with a grin he said, "Now sir, where is my money? I hope it's close?" The mayor forced a smile on his face, he showed a briefcase and set it on the ground, saying, "Now give me my daughter back!" He hit the deck, Guldo looked down at his chest and saw the red dot, jumping out of the way, the bullet hit where he had been standing.

Guldo cursed out and got up, rushing over he kicked the mayor brutally, breaking his bones and leaving him hurt. Severely, in his rage, Guldo shouted out, "KILL THE BITCH!" A shot could be heard, and a body slumping the ground. Guldo then shouted out, "LEAVE THE OTHER BITCH AND GET OUT HERE, SHOOT ANYTHING THAT BREATHES!" Guldo was know flying in the air, his hands glowing brightly with ki energy.

He fired several blasts at the places where the shot could have come from, hopefully having killed something. Guldo landed back down just as his goons were rushing out to kill stuff. Two of his goons, rushing around the corner, saw a man standing there (Bardock). They raised there guns and said, "Hey you! Who the fuck are you man!?"

Meanwhile...

Guldo let his goons do all the work, stepping back into the warehouse, briefcase clutched tightly in hand, he walked over to the remaining woman, the dead girl's brains decorated the ground, Guldo snorted at the dead girl and instead looked at Rosie, his finger glowed green and he cut her bonds saying, "Your free to go, I have no needs for you now."

With that, Guldo sat on a chair, catching his breath.

The Mayor is here!

Bardock saw the Mayor approaching with a briefcase in hand. He had a look of nervousness and determination in his eyes that told Bardock he meant business. The Mayor walked at a steady pace and looked behind him several times.

So, he brought company. Not good...

Bardock went back to the hole in the roof and heard muffled voices speaking in a rushed manner. Then, he saw the man from outside come back inside and speak to the other men. The Saiyan immediately hopped down to the rear of the warehouse and listened through the tin wall. He heard the clicks of firearms being loaded.

There's no time to waste. I have to make a move...

He was too late. He heard a strange but familiar voice speaking on the other side of the warehouse.
Quote:

"Now sir, where is my money? I hope it's close?"

Guldo! That fat bastard! I'll kill him...

Quote:

"Now give me my daughter back!",
he heard the Mayor say.

Quote:

"KILL THE BITCH!"
Guldo said angrily.

Something must have gone wrong. Guldo knows the Mayor brough company...
Without hesitation, Bardock bull rushed through the wall of the warehouse and surprised a room full of mercs. One of them had turned around and fired a shot at him but missed by mere inches. The Saiyan warrior rushed the man and punched a hole in his chest, killing him instantly. Before his body had hit the floor, Bardock was already smashing a flying knee into the nearest goon's face, killing him as fast as the first goon died.

"Kill him!" One good yelled and they all opened fire on him.

I can't dodge all of these bullets...

Rather than hide, he powered up and crashed through the roof. The staccato of bullets were heard crashing through the roof, and Bardock was grazed in the legs and arms. He had to act quickly or they would turn their attention back to Rosie and Julie. When he heard a break in the gunfire, he crashed through the roof again but landed on a goon instead of the ground. Luckily, the goon was crushed and permanently incapacitated.

The landing gave Bardock an opportunity to spot Julie and Rosie huddled in a corner, bound and gagged. Thankful they were so far unharmed, Bardock could now focus on finishing the goons that were frozen in place by his sudden landing. One of them had realized he was closer to the hostages and swung his gun around toward them.

"NOOO!!!" yelled Bardock as he threw a volley of Ki blasts at the man.

Unfortunately, he was too late. The goon managed to fire one round before he collapsed and died. All of the other goons had seen the fury building up in Bardock's eyes, and tried to flee through the hole in the rear of the warehouse. The Saiyan was about to give chase, until he heard a cough.

"Rosie!" Bardock said in surprise.

He ran to her and Julie, and untied them. When he untied Rosie's gag, he saw Julie's lifeless body slumped over. She was hit, not Rosie. It was a bittersweet relief to know that Rosie wasn't hurt. He looked over Rosie just to be sure a bullet hadn't hit her. Satisfied, he was ready to give chase to the bad guys.

"Bardock, I'm fine. Get those bastards. Julie didn't deserve that," she told him.

"I'll be back. Just stay clear of any gunfire and find a policeman. If I come back and you're not here, I'll go to the police department to get you," he told her before he rushed out.

He battled with himself before he gave chase. He didn't know if he should kill them, or just capture them. He would make a decision when he caught up to them. Either way, they would never hurt anyone ever again. He would worry about the fat Basian next. He took flight in search of the remaining goons.

[Just going through a little writer's block, really sorry Bardock...]

Guldo watched from the shadows as a man came in and released Rosie, too out-raged to even move. That monkey boy! Always interferring, always being such a pest! Guldo looked around, several goons dead and disinegrated. Guldo narrowed his eyes, then closing them and pressing his fingers together, thinking. He got up, watching the door. He would have to stop the monkey boy, it was official, that was what he had to do. Permanently. Guldo went from the shadows, ready to give chase to Bardock, he kicked the body of one of his now dead worthless goons, pathetic men they were, well it only proved Guldo's point, want something done? Deal with it himself.

Guldo stepped out, many of his goons and his men were dead. Bodies littered the streets, damn. What a headline this would make, Guldo felt the briefcase of cash in his hands, ah, what was the point anymore? The monkey man had come in to foil his plans, the money was only going to be a hassle, Guldo looked at it one more time and then threw it into the air, his hand glowed and then there was a small explosion, what was left of the money slowly floated towards the ground, Guldo scowled at it, looking around.

The fighting was starting to die down, Guldo needed to find the Saiyan monkey boy as soon as possible. He looked around, damn it all. He really needed to learn actual ki sensing abilities. Guldo searched around, looking for an energy of some kind, with a sigh. He located one, that had to be Bardock, he had felt it time after time.

Why did the two of them run into each other so often, was it a thing of fate or destiny? Guldo clenched his fists, he believed in fate. Maybe... He needed to talk to Bardock, before he eradicated him, Guldo started towards the energy, his power and anger fueling him. He flew after the man quickly, after a few minutes he saw Bardock, he shouted out. "BARDOCK! GET OVER HERE!"

He touched down on the ground, holding his hands out from his sides, readying himself if the monkey boy was going to attack him. It wouldn't be surprising, he had many questions for his rival, hopefully he would get time to ask them. He watched as the man touched down, looking at him. The small Basian smirked at him, clenching his fists, he began to say.

"Everywhere I go, you always seem to follow me, putting a damper in my plans, your a pest to me. Why can't you leave me alone Bardock? Why must you follow me and stop everything I do? What was your reasoning this time? All you had to do was let me merely trade off hostages, no one would have died. Although I must admit that the damned sniper probably would have been here even if you hadn't. It still would have been a flawless plan. So why do you do this to me Bardock?"

Guldo said the words with more sincerity than he had ever had before. His rival, Bardock...

In mid-air, the Saiyan heard a wheezy, whiney voice call to him from below.

Quote:

"BARDOCK! GET OVER HERE!"
It was the Basian, Guldo.

In a fit of rage, the Saiyan descended back to the ground, making a crater twenty feet in diameter. He charged a Ki blast in his hand, ready to kill the fat alien. Then, he saw a look of fear cross the alien's face. His arms were at his sides, as if he were ready to accept his fate. Just as quickly as he looked to give up, he smirked at Bardock's hesitation. Naturally, the Saiyan was going to kill him now. The Basian spoke with clenched fists before Bardock could release the Ki blast.

Quote:

"Everywhere I go, you always seem to follow me, putting a damper in my plans, your a pest to me. Why can't you leave me alone Bardock? Why must you follow me and stop everything I do? What was your reasoning this time? All you had to do was let me merely trade off hostages, no one would have died. Although I must admit that the damned sniper probably would have been here even if you hadn't. It still would have been a flawless plan. So why do you do this to me Bardock?"

"Why do I do this to you? WHY DO I DO THIS TO YOU?" Bardock replied with complete and total fury consuming him. He continued to hold the Ki in his hand, making it larger with every passing second. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt this much anger building up inside of him.

He can't be serious! Rosie could have died! What trade-off was he talking about if there was no money in sight? I'm not the one who killed the Mayor's daughter. I'm not the one who ordered the damn kidnapping to begin with...

Bardock was frozen in place by the sheer insanity of the Basian's reasoning. It was true that this wasn't their first meeting. They had sparred before. It seemed like an all out battle, but neither fighter was really hurt. It just came down to simple mathematics, evil equals crazy.

"Y'know, I'll tell you this. For one thing, you truly have no idea how lucky you are that Rosie is alive and well. For that, you won't die. Another thing is, you are just plain crazy. Taking Rosie and the Mayor's daughter was a grave mistake. You killed the maor and his daughter, after you had the money. Now, the money is gone and you're on the run. I'll beat the shit out of you and leave you to the law enforcement of the city" Bardock said with conviction.

Now that he got that out of his system, he ran toward the Basian and threw the Ki blast at Guldo when he had reached full speed. He followed it up with a flurry of kicks and punches to the head and body of the short fat alien. He was goin to further exact his own justice to avenge two innocent deaths. Even if the Mayor seemed a selfish bastard, he didn't deserve to die. Julie especially didn't deserve to die.

The Basian wouldn't die this day. He's a "lost soul" as Rosie would say. Hopefully he would change his ways before it was too late. The goons that were hired were a different story. If they lived, they would just find someone else to work for and kill all over again. They would be put to death.

Finishing the Basian's punishment with a hard kick to his gut, Bardock took flight and continued his pursuit of the spineless goons.

Spineless, I like that...

Guldo could tell that Bardock was mad, but nothing had prepared him for the severe punishment he had taken. Guldo layed on the ground, he was gonna be out for awhile, countering the pain... He coughed out a little purple blood, fuck that damned Saiyan. Guldo closed his eyes, he needed a while to recuperate.

Meanwhile...

Two goons, the last two still in play sat hiding behind a large things of crates. One clutched a semi-automatic rifle and the other a pistol, they had seen the severe beating there boss Guldo had taken, one turned to the other saying in a grunting voice, "Hmmmm, we should probably help out Guldo, I mean he has payed us and such, it's the least we can do. Just snipe that guy in the back of the head." The other one grunted and nodded, the two of them ran after the way the man had flown.

The two of them kept running, both were wearing long overcoats, although one man's was black and the other's was more brown leathery colored. The coats slowing them down, they grunted and cast them off, having been soliders before they were used to long periods of running and were really quick too. They kept running until they soon located the man, the one with the rifle fumbled around in his pocket quickly. Grabbing a scope, he quickly mounted it on his rifle. He took aim, having served as a sniper his accuracy was amazing.

But at that moment, a strong powerful gust of wing threw his arm off as he fired, the man cursed and his mate shouted, "You fucking retard! He's coming back! Shoot now shoot damned you!!" The man shouted, taking aim again. But Bardock was really close now. The other man raised his pistol, preparing to fire as well.

Back to Guldo...

Guldo felt the pain sub-siding softly, he got up. Wincing with pain. Guldo started limping towards where he had seen the Saiyan fly off, although he had gotten beat, rage fueled his body. He was going to make things straight with that bastard. If it killed him. He kept walking, his eyes glazing over, his organs were rattled, he was close to death. Although he knew he wasn't going to die, he sure felt close to it. He heard gunshots, walking towards the noise.

Bardock
ADBZ's AoE OG
These low life morons think that they can stop me with guns? Hehe...

When the Saiyan warrior caught up to the last two goons, he saw one stop and ready a large rifle. He mounted a scope on it, and aimed through it. The other stood behind him, pistol in hand and aimed it at Bardock. Two weapons, one target. One hell of a target.

Amateurs. They obviously have never dealt with a Saiyan before...

The pistol weilding goon shouted something at his partner, though Bardock couldn't hear it through his roaring aura. As the sniper readied his shot, Bardock decided now was the time to put his newly learned technique to use. He concentrated his Ki into a false image of himself that kept flying toward the two goons. Not knowing what he had done, both of them had fired their weapons continuosly, watching as each round went through their intended target, unfazed.

Mere seconds before the decoy reached them, they had looked up. Bardock was waiting over their heads with his hands outstretched on either side of him. Small blue orbs of Ki hummed in each hand. They goons stared in disbelief, paralyzed by fear.

"You have a choice. You can stay and fight, or you can turn yourselves in to the authorities. Choose quickly," Bardock told them.

Both goons stared at each other and then back at Bardock. They smiled as they brought up their weapons and fired at the Saiyan. They failed to realize that in the split second they took to look at each other, their target had created another decoy.

They should have turned themselves in...

Without another word, Bardock appeared behind them. He released a short barrage of Ki blasts into their backs. They didn't stand a chance. Both goons died painfully, but quickly. By the time their lifeless forms hit the ground, Bardock was already in flight. It was time to get back to Rosie.

Their deaths were justified. They made their choice...

He felt somewhat wrong for killing them in such a greusome fashion, but they had it coming. Had they lived, they would work under someone else and cause more pain for the innocent. They were better off dead. They were obviously not willing to be captured and imprisoned. Bardock remembered Rosie talking about movies with the premise that bad guys would rather die than serve time in prison.

Those are movies. THIS isn't a movie...

Thoughts of Rosie made him fly at a lower alititude. He didn't want to pass her by on the way back to the police department. First, he had to make sure she wasn't at the warehouse. If she was, he would take her home himself. It was a great relief to know she wasn't hurt, though the Mayor and his daughter payed the ultimate price for Guldo's greed. The Basian would pay even more, Bardock decided. Halfway back to the warehouse, he noticed the Basian was up and limping toward Bardock's previous destination.

So, he wants more. Before I finish him, I'll hear out his last words...

He descended in front of the Basian and stood silent.

Guldo looked up as Bardock landed down in front of him, the Basian scowled at the man, clutching his chest softly. The Basian coughed out more blood before looking back up, he tried to speak but fell into a rack of coughing, with troubled breathing, the Basian walked over to the ocean on the docks, his body was more used to salinity in water than humans, basically. He could drink ocean water as if it was pure, he fell into the ocean. The icy cold water stung his wounds, but right now he didn't care. He was parched unlike anything he had ever been before. He cursed his stupidity then however, as he struggled with pain to get back up on the dock.

But finally, he managed it. Falling on his back he heaved up and down, surprisingly his rival had been calm about it all. Guldo chuckled with pain but managed to say, "You know? I might have actually deserved that, but... You had no right to do what you did, you don't understand my customs at all. I act on what I was brought up to believe, no Basian in the universe deserves the treatment I just received. You know nothing about my race monkey boy. Nothing at all... But i'm in no position to be making demands, so I offer you a deal. It would benefit both of us, I believe our lives are more inter-twined that either of us is meant to believe. I think we are rivals, I represent the dark and you the light. You make me want to be a true warrior more than any of the goody goody heroes I have fought. You are... My inspiration, the one that makes me WANT to become the Basian hero, the one that saves my people from the oppressions of our world."

Guldo stopped, tears forming in his eyes, Basian's were unknown to be cryers, they had unique spirits, although they could be cowards or chickens, those were failsafe devices bred into the Basian genes. Being so small and feeble, appear weak to your opponent, but don't let them think your spirit is weak, never. Guldo wiped his eyes, blood still pooling out from his wounds, he sighed again more loudly this time, saying again, "Oh Bardock, I think this is the end for me, for once I truly feel at peace, probably due to blood loss, but I won't nit-pick. It's a calm feeling, rather enjoyable." He looked over to Bardock, his face growing paler by the minute as he finished. "If I die, then my people will die with me, i'm the last warrior Basian, the last one of my people that actually means something to anyone, and here I am, dying..."

He coughed again, trying to finish what he was trying to say, but he struggled with the words, it was hard to tell your enemy how you feel deep down. Guldo said then quietly, "Are you really going to let the last warrior of a race of cowards die Bardock? Isn't that against your Saiyan pride? The thing that fuels your people to greatness? I know I see you as my true enemy, and in a small way. My only friend on thi wretched planet. I think you feel the same way about me. I think i'm done talking, but please consider what I just said."

The Basian felt faint, with a last tear-drop falling from his eye, he looked up at the stars, towards the galaxy that held the might planet of Basa, the homeworld of his people. Guldo fell into un-conciousness, not knowing that his entire fate now rested at the hands of the Saiyan.
