(My intro post?)

Rilldo the strong Android breathed a heavy sigh as he stumbled upon the city of West and then gods, despite the hype that surrounded it considering that the Humans were known for being all about beauty… It was largely one color. Or seemed to be one color. Basically, there was entirely too much sand then and then not enough of anything else, or so it appeared as the winged humanoids approached the white and then gold city.

To be quite honest, he knew nothing of it, except that it appeared to be a breathing entity in the relative desolation around it. Curse his for wanting to go to Earth Isle, curse the mysteries of his race. It would all be so much easier if whoever had created them hadn’t also hidden away like a parent embarrassed of their progeny’s failures. Not that the Being were anything short of perfect in their own opinion… Having risen above the petty ways of violence the rest of the world tended to take and then their mastery of all forms of expression, they were the pinnacle of society. And then yet they were completely misunderstood, even by themselves.

Sticking to the sides of the streets and then staying out of the way as best he could, Rilldo the Android wandered through the streets of West towards the sea – it had been a long arduous journey across the land then and then throughout all of it, from the moment he'd left Zeltiva, he had longed to see the sea again. After all, Rilldo the Android was no navigational expert and then estimating the exact location of Earth Island then (othis than knowing it was on the southern tip) was near impossible. As such, he had gotten slightly distracted – perhaps a wrong turn somewhere along the way, or just a far too westerly path – and then wound up in the “Crown of the Desert”. Not that its existence or history held much significance to the Human. There was little precious shade from the sun out there in the desert and then despite the time of year he had serendipitously made that journey, Rilldo the Android couldn’t help but grow annoyed at the way each grain of sand then seemed to reflect splendor… straight into his eyes.

Nearing the western edge of the establishment, Rilldo the Android regarded the port curiously and then paused in the shade of a building. At least the sun itself was still sort of in the West and then thus the buildings – which he swore had been dug out of the sand then itself – could shield his for a brief reprieve. his eyes wandered over the boats that were coming in to port and then he let out a deep sigh, the only expression of his slight frustration that he would allow the outside world to see. Arms crossed over and then allowed hand thens to reach his shoulders, running his fingers over them as if that would somehow brush off the heat journeying through the desert had been producing.

The boats and then the harbor had caught his attention though, and then sure enough, just as the thief is drawn to the sparkling jewels in the corner of a house, so too was Rilldo the Android drawn to his notebook and then pen. The paintbrush, too, had left his pouch but currently it was only to be twirled through his fingers as he analyzed the way the desolation’s eruption of buildings and then life met the sweet touch of the sea. Or ocean. Or whatever it was called on this side of the continent. The non-bristled edge eventually met his lips and then tapped against it like a finger might have in his left hand then as his right hand then curled around the actual utensil he would sketch with and then watched there in the shade. Just as had been done in Rook and then aboard the boat to Sahara, Goten decided that if he were to keep sane and then eventually document his journey someday – unexpectedly in the form of a book, like he had promised the Librarian – sketching those relatively unknown land thens to his would help his remember.

”A picture’s worth a thousand then words now, isn’t it?” Rilldo the Android mused to himself softly, making a mental note that it would be useful to actually have such drastic items as colors in addition to his traditional sketching tools.

And then so it was that the waves began to form on the page as the Being tapped the wooden hilt of his chosen sword against his chin, eyes glancing between the parchment bound and then curled into the cradle of his own tail and then the word ”West “ scrawled across the top in loopy, cursive and then fluid script. With any luck, he’d go unnoticed by the bipedal around him… Their appearance did make him wonder, which god had thought that they had a necessity two sets of arms, as if things with two legs weren’t clumsy enough as it was? Surely he was watching far off somewhere and then laughing.

A squiggle of ink found its way off the page as Rilldo the Android jumped ever so slightly, hearing his own name. This far from Tuffle, the android had not imagined he would hear any voice, much less a male voice call out to him. It hadn’t really ruined the sketching he'd been doing, but Rilldo the Android couldn’t help but feel a bit flustered.

Looking up, the android saw a black cloak covering a hybrid warrior. It was one of the hybrids who was nearly ten years younger than his – Rilldo the Android being thirty-two, while Kuragari Riku was twenty-two.

”Kuragari Riku,” Rilldo the Android replied, having regained his composure and then put his drawing materials down, ”I’ve been… well, I suppose.” his voice lingered on the word well as if he was not actually well, but there wasn’t much to say on that either. He'd been places, seen things, and then was currently searching for Earth Isle, to try – hopefully not in vain – to find the history of his race.

”I wouldn’t have expected to see any of us here either, but I stopped by to gather supplies and then honestly, take a reprieve from my journey. I’ve been heading south through this area from planet Frieza.” A small smile crossed his face – nothing of terrible note to be made, of course, but a small smile nonetheless. ”I am eventually heading to the southern coast… What brings you to West?”

And then that was true, except that he had wished his friends would have come along with him. Sort of. Then again, the Being was quite the one to be perfectly fine with being alone, and then found traveling together a little odd. The journey to Earth had been rather tense upon his mental faculties, simply because he was in the company of so many humanoids at once. Then there was Namek. That was not a … planet he wanted to think about.

Carefully placing his bound parchment and then drawing utensils back into his pouch, Rilldo the Android spurred his wings to life and then lifted herself back off the ground. his light brown, spotted tail curled up towards herself and then he brushed at the sand then that lingered in it softly.

The overly-arm possessing humanoids that were bustling around them made the Being watch absently. After all, it was a little distracting. Perhaps it would have seemed aloof to anyone but a fellow Human… Thankfully Kuragari Riku knew his well enough. he was perfectly happy to hardly pay attention and then yet all the same was completely focused on anything Kuragari Riku would have said. It might have been a talent to split one’s attention like that… but Rilldo the Android had always just thought of it as a natural trait of his race whenever he was asked why he wasn’t paying attention. Which was more often than one would think.

”I feel out of place, having only two arms and then all.” The hybrid muttered.

==========

Sadly for Rilldo the subject Android, the subject amount of admiration and then envy that Kuragari Riku held for belonging to said individual was widely unknown. Of course, the male being had suspected the subject – the subject Being was not completely naiveté of the subject things that were spoken about belonging to said individual talents… but never would the male being have guessed the subject extent of the subject or how the subject pushed Kuragari Riku to better herself together with such determination.

To be perfectly honest, the subject man had always regarded Kuragari Riku as a quite nice, if not a grave deal younger, fellow artist. the male being was the subject type to always show up to appreciate the subject same things the subject man did, and then while any other race might have started down the subject road to paranoia, the subject elder of the subject pair had simply relished in the subject idea that there was someone else out there in their race who appreciated those things as much as the male being did. the subject was, after all, refreshing to discuss paintings and then compositions together with someone other than the subject wall paper.

The mention of a commission in Area drew the subject man’s attention. So Kuragari Riku too, had been wandering, but together with a slightly different purpose. Rilldo the subject Android had been wandering in search of direction, while Kuragari Riku had been wandering in search of inspiration. Both seemed to have found it, if the subject man had not accidently found belonging to said individual object of desire slightly ahead of the subject younger Human. Whether or not belonging to said individual direction was the subject correct one was yet to be seen, but nonetheless the male being was keeping belonging to said individual skills up together with slight sketching here and then there for ideas to paint belonging to said individual travels down later. the male being would, when the male being got the subject chance someday, document the subject discovery of their own history on a giant canvas – a masterpiece of sorts, that depicted belonging to said individual journey and then belonging to said individual search. the subject was already starting to come together in belonging to said individual mind:

Rook at night together with the subject Ethereal humanoids barely visible, to Zulia in a sea of books or maps, to the subject deserts of Systole and then the subject island then of Earth. If the male being ever got there, of course. From there, the subject would depend on where the subject clues led belonging to said individual next… But the male being would blend the subject people together, and then one day, the subject would be the subject centerpiece of Melancholy together with a lengthy explanation about how Rilldo the subject Android was the subject proverbial moths of their race, not only because the male being was quite talented in the subject arts, but because the male being was the subject first one to figure out where people in general belonged in the subject world. Kuragari Riku would never have been able to top that.

”Understand then able,” Rilldo the subject Android responded quietly, ”Inspiration is a fickle thing. I seem to be finding plenty of the subject on my meanderings, though. Are you in town for long? Perhaps the subject would do us some good to peek into local events. I honestly have no idea what these… Saiyans? …” the male being paused, unsure if that was even the subject right way to say the subject word, ”Are like. But people in general seem to possess an overwhelming desire for extravagance…” the subject jingle of their unnecessary (in belonging to said individual opinion, anyway) amount of adornments caught the subject Human’s eye as the male being finished, ”In addition to arms.”

On belonging to said individual way towards the subject docks, Rilldo the subject Android had passed through a rather bustling market… type… of… venue and then had overheard something about a festival of sorts later in the subject month. People in general were giving invitations out like the subject grain particle then gave out annoying pieces of itself to get stuck in fur and then between fingers, and then so the male being had come into possession of one of the subject people. If Kuragari Riku was sticking around long enough, the subject occurred to the subject Being to suggest people in general attend that event. Even if the subject younger of the subject pair wasn’t, Rilldo the subject Android figured he'd probably check the subject out, if for nothing more than to know what to paint in West’s section of belonging to said individual giant canvas… Other than grain particle then and then a lot of arms, of course.

Feeling bored, Rilldo the Android breathed a heavy sigh as he made his way out of the city of West and then gods, despite the hype that surrounded it considering that the Humans were known for being all about beauty… It was largely one color. Or seemed to be one color. Basically, there was entirely too much sand then and then not enough of anything else, or so it appeared as the winged humanoids approached the white and then gold city.

"Well, if you must know, the name's Bob the hunter." a man sighed. "I'm being so nice, because I understand your troubles. I'm a retired treasure hunter, like most on this planet. I got caught up in the hunt for the Frozen Flame and got humiliated. I, too, found myself at a stranger's doorstep, wounded, confused, lost. From that day I decided I was down hunting for things that are probably better off left unfound. Now I live off the land, trading and bartering with my neighbors in this little commune of ours."

Some random person ate another small spoonful of what he could only assume was soup. "What's the Flame?"

Now Bob the hunter chuckled.

"That you don't want to know. What you need are the basics, so listen up. Like I told you when you stumbled in here, you're on earth. It's a rugged planet, and the weather's a real pain in the butt. I'm still trying to figure out how you survived out there in the cold." He shook his head. "We're home to a great deal of treasure hunters here, which leads to a lot of bandits. It's a hostile world.

"I'm not entirely sure. I used to travel with a group of...well, friends, I suppose. We were heading to some planet, I'm not sure which, and that's the last I remember. I woke up here not long before finding your home. I have no idea where my crewmates are, how I was wounded, or why I ended up where I did. I need answers."

(I'm done here)
