Intro post The android known as vlad was flying all over the planet, he had a goal in mind and he had the passion to see it done, however the human level of individuality the artificial human possessed was a double edged sword, and while he did feel ambitious of getting stronger and seeing the world change for the better, he was a social entity and he was starting to feel lonely. The android used his internal scanner to identify nearby inhabitance as well as vlads special sensory to identify their position on emotions Vlad sensed many with high adrenalin count and the sight of flags with what appeared to be classic humanoid robots crossed out…did not bode well for him descending and doing anything that would give him being an android away. Vlad frowned “all that hard work proving myself a friend to the organics, the people I assisted, the speeches I gave, the friends I made. Gill has taken all that away and managed to turn most humanity against me and my kind. Sure we don’t always do as we should then again couldn’t humans be put on the stands for the same ‘crime’ as imperfection. They make mistakes and social blunders as well yet they ate not denied rights to shop, they aren’t deaminized and spat on, and they darn sure don’t have to worry of nonnegotiable protest groups waiting out there door to torture them.” Vlad tightened a fist “Gill… you are trying to turn this world into the same hell as we both originated, I will not allow that, I will stop you and undo the damage that you did or I will be scraped trying” Vlad said passionately as his eye zoomed out and back to normal vision. Vlads brow bent in sorrow “I however feel saddened by loneliness; this will no doubt impede my ability to learn from the turtle hermit when he reaches his new master. Thus with this vlad decided before he reaches him he will try and make a new friend…if he finds an individual that doesn’t desire to give him an acid bath when they find out what he was. Vlad detected a being near his local that had a balanced state of mind, vlad went into his pocket and pulled out a flair gun and fired it into a cloud above the strangers head then vlad flew over to the being hoping that the flare got their attention. Vlad landed in a field near the entity “hello, sir” the android said in a timid and kind tone offering a composed smile to the unknown man. Above his tent, the wind whistled through its perpetual dance, and Kuragari Riku listened to it idly as his mind roved across the events of the day. It was a well-worn routine, something he had developed years ago to try to keep thoughts of his parents at bay. It didn’t work, but he persevered in it anyways. Not a few times, he had discovered implications that would have completely escaped him without this time of reflection. The first hour or so of the day had been spent in packing up. It wouldn’t have even taken that long if his roommates could only learn to control their emotions. The tribe couldn't afford to let one group of friends hold them back. They were, after all, about to go to war. The rest of the day had, of course, been spent in traveling towards the next oasis. It was towards this that Kuragari Riku's thoughts drifted. Their route this year had differed from previous years significantly, and he was doing his best to memorize every inch of the terrain. With the seemingly endless monotony of the desert, it was no easy task. At least he was free to roam where he would. Not one of the forward scouts today, Kuragari Riku had had no further duties than hunting and reporting any irregular activities if he happened to see something. A few hours before dinner, he had spotted a tent, allowing him to take a break from their forced march. It was then that Kuragari Riku become bored and wandered off into an open field. He was several miles away from his people when a flare went off above his head. What was that? Am I being attacked? Several seconds later, the hybrid noticed an unfamiliar figure approaching him. He looked friendly enough but looks could be deceiving. Riku decided to see what this man wanted. "Hey, I'm Kuragari Riku," the teen said as the two strangers met, "what brings you to this area?" -- 331 words 13932 total current word count split: Rilldo: 2500 Vlad: 435 Riku: 10997 |

The android known as vlad was glad to hear the stranger was ok with getting social with him but pondered what this being was sensors indicated he was at least mostly human but an air of the unnatural vlad could hint at…something of a connection to this stranger but for vlad to feel that way it would mean there was more than flesh and blood about this lad and so the late teenaged android pondered in his head. An immediate response was advisable as well as would be appropriate especially considering the android had yet to open his eyes on fear of a reaction should an unforeseen glitch in his eyes revile what he was. The android smiled more than reached into his pocket and pulled out a cheap pair of sunglasses and opened his eyes. “it’s a pleasure to meet you Mr. Kuragari my name is Vlad” Vlad said though his voice did have emotion there was something under it… it was calm and collected, as friendly as a voice can get but there was an air of uncertainty within it, Vlad clearly was hiding something and disguising it as effectively as he could. The android tilted his head as he thought of an answer one that would be honest yet hide what he is. “I came because I noticed you all alone and wished to perhaps be of some company, I fired that flare to attract your attention because I did not wish to sneak up on you, for that would been rude” Vlad said then his brow bent in regret “although in heisted I could have called out to you” he said then bowed his head “I apologies if I gave you a scare, it was not my intent.” Vlad said in a regretful tone. The android was almost indistinguishable from another person, he emoted both purely and controlled just as any life form would, his face expressed all ranges of emotions as true blue as any sane man. The only real factors this android had to leave one to question if he is human is his clear though expressive voice, no matter the emotion or tone all his words were crystal clear. His choice of words was also a far cry from casual. Additionally in this case the fact he kept his eyes closed until he put on sunglasses was also not the most dismissively normal actions. Vlad sighed then smiled so softhearted one may call angelic “so, may I ask why you chose to seek isolation from the busy and eventful streets?” Vlad asked as inside he felt guilty for this attempt at deception and appalled that once again he had to shelter his true race from a hate filled society that would belittle him by seeing him as a thing undeserving of rights. 469WC 904 VC |

Riku waited patiently enough as the man took his time talking, working his muscles through a few subtle routines, loosing the ties that had kept the long sleeves of his tunic tied up around his elbows. He was smiling as he flicked his hair to get a better look at Vlad. Kuragari Riku felt his mind wondering what to think about this newcomer. A short while longer, after Vlad had finished speaking, the hybrid decided that there was no immediate threat at least for the time being. There was something about watching him, however, that was a bit off. It did not bother Riku, seeing as though Earth was chock full of strange people. "Ah, it's no problem," Riku said in response to Vlad's apologies, "I'm here to take a break away from setting up camp. I joined up with a tribe a few weeks ago and decided to help them out in their traditional mock battle against their rivals." The teen smiled as he thought about how silly humans could be. It made little to no sense why these people would hold a once every five years competition just to be the crap out of each other and show who was stronger. Ever since killing had become taboo, it had turned more into a sort of Olympics than a battle. "So," Riku continued with uncertainty, "is there something you want to do?" The hybrid's social awkwardness was brought out by his android half. He was perfectly normal when it came to behavior, but he couldn't carry a quality conversation for his life. For all his android heritage, Kuragari Riku had little real patience for social grace. While nearly everyone he knew thought he was pure human Kuragari, Riku had all but lacked the creativity to bother with speaking skills. -- 300 words 14701 total |

Vlad smiled and his skin gave a blush at the forgiveness he was given but felt his apology incomplete and he frowned. <why do you always fallow these absurd and illogical emotions, vlad? They seem to bring you more grief then deliverance.> The cold voice of his embodied safety systems spoke in vlads head with simplest logic being its only true understanding. <the whole is greater than the individual but service is meaningless if one just goes through the motions as you have no grasp on significance of your actions all you will know is what your expected to do and nothing beyond this. A true sentient weighs the risk, the rewards, as well as the significance of actions and inactions not just practicality or orders> Vlad thought with a sigh “and when dealing with emotional capabilities its prudent and proper to act with empathy and honesty as an individual.” He whispered un audible to human hearing. Vlad looked up to Riku “first things first” he said tightening his biker like gloves “what I have to call a conscience forbids me from hiding this from you any longer, I seek friendship. Yours if you permit it. But what a jerk of a false friend I would be” vlad spoke with passion of one who had something major to revile “Riku Kuragari, I am nothing as I appear” vlad said then a seam appeared in his face and transformed into a panel that pulled back into the head. “I am a synthetic consciousness, an AC (artificial consciousness) android.” Vlad confessed “I was constructed in a distant future timeline. I was built with highest quality metals and synthetic fabrics, my interior shell is composed of one of the toughest metal ever conceived, a fusion metal of iron forged from a fallen meteor, reinforced high quality steel, and special titanium that was tempered continually over a century, suffice to say this shell is like a forever tombstone, even if I fall into molten iron and burn out my shell will still remain for years afloat.” “I also possess evolutionary capabilities. My interior shell is strong but my mechanisms beneath are still in development proses so one need not breach my armor to harm me, sufficient blunt force still does internal damage, extreme heat or cold will also serve as an impeding force as well as electricity, if I don’t have enough time to prepare to assimilate it. So I am very weak when you get by my strong shell, but as time passes my machinery is upgrading and evolving so in time it will grow harder for me to be harmed.” “ok that’s enough on my body now why I was made. My world was a despite pit of lawlessness, corruption, greed, bedlam, racism, anarchy, extortionist, totalitarianism, and my craftier had a dream that he would build a sentient android that would aid the world in a new more peaceful, indifferent, and open-minded world. And to put it simply, just like what is happening now Gill happened and sparked a race war with a race that couldn’t defend itself until one night where all humanity and all organic life was ended and after years I fail to recall I remember falling into this dimension” Vlad explained about his origens then closed up his face again to return it to its former look. “So Mr.Riku what will you do to me or have me do now that you know what I really am? Will you turn me in to the metal eaters? Would you like to keep me as your own? Or shall we become friends?” The android asked torn by optimism and fear of what his new acquaintance had in mind. 618 WC 1,522 |

Riku was kind of creeped out by Vlad's true form. If the young hybrid were purely human, he probably would have run away thinking he'd gone insane. However, since his father happened to be an android, it wasn't as freaky. "Well," the teen said hesitantly, "I'm definitely not going to do anything bad to you seeing as though I'm part android myself. And I appreciate you telling me the truth, kind of." As Riku smiled at his new acquaintance, something strange happened. Surrounding the two with a storm cloud of mist, a zombie appeared through its own mist flickering into the material of the area. The ghost formed its face, a fleshy pair of eyes and brown skin like that of his people. Inside of him, Kuragari Riku had not feared strange creatures, but this one gave his an uneasy chill. he shifted in the sand, moving it away as he pushed with his feet to stand upright. The eerie face watched him, coiling around his like a deadly snake narrowing in on its prey. Kuragari Riku put his hand out to touch the mist, brushing his fingers against the fluid energy that was neither hot nor cold, but both at the same time. The zombie laughed out loud, although it didn't have a mouth. It spouted mist at her, curling up his arm and seeping through his flesh and bones. "ZOMBIE!" Riku yelled as he jumped back in surprise. There was no logical reason why a zombie had appeared but one suddenly had. Suddenly after the first one appeared, several more started materializing from nowhere. Within ten seconds there were no less than fourteen hungry zombies just walking around. Riku wondered why they would want to eat then, especially Vlad. He was an android and probably didn't even have any real skin to feed on. -- 306 words sorry about the long wait 15625 words total |

The benevolent android detected a negative emotional feedback from the human android half breed this detection saddened him immensely “sorry” he said. The android listened to what the part android said and his eyes shot open and he smiled “I knew I detected something simuler between you and I. Might I be allowed to ask if you were born in natural means or in a lab?” he asked “And do you think me less for being a pure machine?”vlad asked as pessimism took form inside him as he was thought lesser time and time again for not being “alive”. Vlad detected a phenomenon building as an unknown resinance filled the air and a less then natural event was cohering as the android became puzzled at his part biological acquaintance as his sencors did not detect any life forms nor isolated sorces of energies and as the reanimated corps was behind vlad it was not visible to the android. Vlad was totally and completely without a clue of what this bizarre display Riku was expiating. “Zombie!!!!!” his new acquaintance suddenly exclaimed and vlad tilted his head confused then two options of his meaning popped up in definitions for the word. 1. A derogatory term towards conforming individuals ranging from those who live paycheck to paycheck to those who are blindly and unthinkingly obedient to their mentors, this version of the anti-conformity is dominantly used against the religious, business, and politically devout for these have a vast some of people who tend to be devout to their view, expertise, and parties and fairly close minded of any outside view. Vlads optimism kicked in and vlad assumed that little of riku was derogatory, or at least not aggressively anti. Vlad then concluded that option one was not his reference, so he looked into the second option of horror myths and theoretical failings to reanimate the dead by ways of rebooting the brain through technology or occult teachings, point is it failed in reanimating who it was yet gave it basic life at a level lower then beast for all zombies do is feed and in doing so producing more, they are undead visages of nightmares commonly asserted with mortal fears like those of death as the end of personality existing in an individual whom in life was special and generic fear of cannibalism. As well as those entities produced by a virus intended to bring immortality but backfiring as after death the specimen is 0% who they were before the virus revived them. Vlad sympathized with superstition to a degree as it was comforting and raised many intriguing what ifs as well as nontactile significance that while possible and comforting to think of has yet to materialize any unquestionable evidence. But suggesting there were cannibalistic reanimated corpses in the area he failed to detect was simply mad to even the mild mannered and considerate android. Wanting not to sound close minded or rude to refute his acquaintance before giving him the sporting chance and a look, and so…… The android turned knowing that a zombie was different from a ghost, most notably is it isn’t a mass of conscious energy, it was a corporeal and physical mass of reanimated being, he would need no scanner to pick up a zombies existence. Vlad rotated his body until his stomach was over what was internally his spinal zone and the biggest shock of the androids life was eye to eye with him. Vlads mouth dropped as he gazed at a face crawling with maggots and oozing a tar like blood from half its orifices as part of its throat were clear through the riveted flesh just coating its neck, it was a walking corps alright from the long dead skin pale as bone falling off to the brain matter oozing out its nostrils. Vlad palm struck the zombie nearest him into a distant tree only to his horror see at least 14 more just as grotesque as the first he stuck, Vlads throat lurched “if I had a stomach I’d barf “ Vlad said. Vlad had a synthetic flesh as close to the real thing as they came, it sweet, it smelt, it molded it bent, it felt, it even blushed when the robotic being was experiencing the right emotions. Though the skins elasticity was very high as the robotic joints would need for free motion it behaved like actual skin, it bruised, burnt, tore, and recently added to the list bleed a synthetic blood that allowed the flesh to exhibit these life-like qualities. The android possessed little fear of this, once one gets past their numbers and undetectabuility they are closer to being training then threats, one easily out-WALKED not to mention there parts are not known for strength to stand up to a baseball bat, and despite having skin over it vlad was an android made of hard metal that can do a lot more then wood. Vlad knew that unless this was dark magic contamination, infecting him would be imposable as vlad is immune to diseases and biological viruses, thus if the magic had no power over machines or if there is no magic vlad could be bitten, licked, scratched, and even bleed on and no harm would come unless it was somehow a direct attack his internal mechanisms. 887VC 2409 WC |

(OOC: I think I'm gonna have to end this personal saga soon… I'm too busy to post regularly) Riku looked over and saw that Vlad was also being attacked by zombies. His skin must have been made out of something other than metal seeing as though the beasts usually didn't try to eat dead things. As he stepped back, waiting for a zombie to make the first move, the hybrid saw Vlad palm thrust one of them into a tree. Dang. That's one powerful android. "Keep it coming" Kuragari Riku yelled as a zombie rushed towards him. Pushing through the beast's fists, he beat one down into the ground. Landing there, he looked at another. Staring at this second zombie, his body began to glow, showing that he was raising his power level. He could have fed into its curiosity and waited to see what kind of attack he was going for but why make a mistake like that? Taking advantage of his confused opponent, the hybrid used his only technique, Kiai. It had little to no effect other than to startle the undead beings. While they waited for something epic to happen, Riku rushed two zombies at once and pummeled them into the ground. Kuragari Riku's attitude would never miss a chance to shine and here was no different. His head turned slightly so he could see the rest of the zombies out of the corners of his eyes. His hands would be placed on his hips just then and he would make a smirk for about two seconds. "To be honest even I don't know why you guys are attacking me...but hey it's not like you stand a chance...you should have just gone home. If I didn't know any better I'd say you're starting to have a thing for me." With that he lightly lifted off of the ground but it was a jump as opposed to a flight and his descent had him coming off of the cliff where he proceeded to landed on the top another zombie. --- 323 16835 total |

Vlad smiled as these things slumping and dragging about and foaming at the mouth where as weak as undead monsters could expect with brittle bones and exposed organs to take one’s mind off the disgusting appearance this was no menace. Vlad watched Mr,Riku display impressive agility and cunning, this only enhanced the androids wish to befriend him. Vlad saw little to no training value in such lack of thinking adversaries so he figured the best way to do this was take a large portion of if not all of them in one bunch. While the android strategized he noticed a small pond near them with a bucket of freshly caught fish <it is likely that seeing the anomaly scared the fisherman off, but this is a good tactic.> the android thought as he flew off to it. Seconds later it began to rain fish guts and blood on the zombies, the spray of fresh organs caused the zombies to clump in a group and feeding frenzy. Vlad smiled <good, that got their attention now to finish them off> he thought then saw a propane tank and looked into his pocket to find he had one flair bullet left so vlad darted to it. Vlad reached it as the biggest group were just about to finish there share of the fish entrails. Vlad tossed the tank at the group and, like something from western gunman movies as the tank flew towards the group vlad reloaded his gun, focused his sights…and….! BOOM detonation caused a shrapnel tossing inferno to engulf the group as vlad grinned <my tactic worked> he thought as a group of three remained still eating and vlad concluded that Mr.Riku would want to use them as training dummies. Vlad looked up to the half breed “Mr. Riku! The rest are yours! However you did not answer my questions so afterword’s would you please answer them?” the android informed and requested. 321 WC 2730 VC |

(Okay, this is when yours and my characters' interactions end. I'm going to post a little more to finish up what I was doing before you posted ur intro.) Riku watched in amazement as Vlad finished off most of the zombies. After being reminded that he'd not answered the android's questions from before, he thought back to what they had been and decided to respond. "Well I was a human to begin with but shortly after birth, most of my organs started failing. I was sent to a lab where my body was turned more or less into an android. The only purely human part about me is my brain." The hybrid paused for a moment, remembered the second question, then continued. "I don't think less of you for being a pure machine. In fact, I think you're lucky since there is a logical base to your existence whereas living beings are doomed to battle with their emotions for life." As a zombie swung at him, the hybrid finished off it and the rest of them. Knowing that he'd best be getting back to base, he turned to Vlad once again. "It's been nice meeting you. Thanks for your help in fending off these zombies! Sadly, I have to go help out my other friends. Cya!" At this, Riku started off towards his people's base in order to help. On the way back, the teen thought about how awesome it would be to be purely android and not human. Would he be bound to the thought process of a computer? Would he be forced to do what his programming told him to do? Or would he simply be a seemingly immortal being to battle time in an endless effort to exist. All these thoughts were confusing and Riku silently thanked Vlad for making him more open to such ideas. Now he had a topic to bring up at parties. The only problem was, was that he never went to those darned things in the first place. (Okay, this is when yours and my characters' interactions end. I'm going to post a little more to finish up what I was doing before you posted ur intro.) --- 307 17463 total |
