Guldo the Basian, the scourge of his race. The most powerful Basian to ever live, was recuperating in the house of Master Roshi after his wicked defeat to the Saiyan Bardock. His internal and external injuries were many, and he had almost died. But as the kind old man walked along the docks searching for women to pick up, he found the almost dead Basian and saved him, caring for him and nursing him back to health. Now after two weeks, the Basian had not only gotten better, but he was even picking up some moves and abilities from his old master. Guldo was a happy Basain, although he didn't feel any emotional attachments to the old fellow, he felt respect. That was the only thing keeping the old man alive though.

One day, Guldo sat amongst the sand of the beach of the Kame House Island. Enjoying his day and having a prosperous week, he had already learned a few techniques, he could now fly instead of hover, and he had already mastered the Double Energy Blast and the Finger Beam, very powerful moves in there own right. Guldo's specific color of ki, a light green which was extremely bright. So not only was he learning new techniques, he was also developing the speed needed to get close enough to deliver wicked techniques.

Guldo looked up, he could see Master Roshi standing there, the old man chuckled to him and said, "Come with me youngin, I got something I want you to do." Guldo nodded to him, standing up and following the old man, his mind was drifting. What on earth did the old man want him to do? Maybe fight off some wicked beast or something, his power level had grown exponetinally. So god knows what his master wanted him to do.

As he walked over to where his master was standing, anticipation was causing his body to shake happily. He looked at his master, who smiled at him, and then he began to talk...

"Guldo, you are a valuable student of mine, so it is with great honor that I am going to allow you to take the Roshi Gauntlet, a very hard very strenous training excercise that will show me you have learned everything I have taught you. It won't be easy, but I know that you are capable, your a very... Interesting student of mine, I am confident in your abilities. So you have one more day to rest up and train, tommorow you will begin the training. Understand that this is very taxing on the body, there is a chance of death young Basian warrior. So be careful and do as much training as you can today, do you understand what I have told you?"

The old man finally finished, with a nod of his head, Guldo showed that he was ready, the old man chuckled and nodded. Shooing his hand indicating that Guldo better get started. He cringed at being so rudely sent away like that, but he eventually let it slide. The gauntlet of Roshi huh? Probably really dangerous and hard, filled with powerful beasts that can tear the Basian warrior to shreds. Or maybe a powerful dinosaur with gnashing teeth or something.

He shivered with glee, maybe it would be that facket Bardock, the scourge of his existense, with his sort of luck, Bardock would probably end up seeing him in a week or two, it was impossible NOT too. Guldo sighed, feeling his body, he had really gotten hurt from that damned Saiyan, but not next time. Next time he would be ready for him! He swore it on everything he had! From his pride to his ego! The Basian blinked all four of his eyes, ok. Time to stop playing around, it was time to get busy!

Guldo started his training...

Guldo had trained hard the previous day, his power level spiked to new heights, somewhere around four thousand seven hundred. Although he knew there were people out there that could crush him easily, he still felt pretty proud of himself. It had been a month since he started his "journeys" on Earth, preparing it for the day when he could take over and save his people from poverty and disease. Guldo smiled as he walked over to his master, looking at him. The old man nodded and said to Guldo,

"Very well, the trial is... You must travel to the Mountain of Fire, there you will find a cave, inside the cave is your trial, that is all I will say."

Guldo smiled and nodded, having learned his geography he knew exactly where the Mountain of Fire was. Guldo walked into the Kame House, quickly readying a bag and such, once he was ready. He walked out and prepared to start flying for the mountain, but he heard Master Roshi behind him, turning around he looked at his old master who said.

"Be careful Guldo, not very many of my students have ever come back from this trial, so good luck to you!"

He nodded to his old master and bowed, with a deep breath, the Basian shot up into the air, flying over the ocean towards the Mountain of Fire. The journey was going to be long and filled with danger, but the Basian only shivered with anticipation, he was going to do something that no other person had ever done before. It filled him with excitement, the Basian race was one filled with cowards, and yet all the Warriors always seemed to get such joy out of fighting and going on adventures.

What fun this was going to be!

Guldo slowly flew over the ocean, his former hyperness now gone replaced by his usual grumpiness, the fly was taking forever. Thankfully his energy had gotten as high as it had, the Basian slowly descended closer to the water, slowing down slightly to dip his hands in the water and splash his face. The top two eyes burned slightly however, being much more sensitive to the salinity in the water. Guldo shook his head, not noticing the ripples in the water. Guldo started to fly back up, but then he noticed the ripples, Guldo being the curious Basian that he was. Walked over to investigate, that's when he noticed the figure. Dashing up as fast as he could. The wicked shark jumped from the water, mouth agape. Barely missing the Basian's foot.

The Basian shrieked with fright, having never had a personal experience with the beast. He panicked, flying higher up into the air. But when he felt safe, he grew cocky and angry, the Basian's hands charged and sparkled with ki energy, he fired several blasts at the creature, laughing and cackling and shouting, "Damn beast! Die! Die! Die!"

After a few minutes, Guldo giggled again, acting all high and mighty. The Basian cackled to himself, already planning the story in his head, of how he had conquered his foe easily, not showing any fear. No one else had seen him, so they had no proof. His face twisted into a mischievious grin. He blasted back up high into the air, the adrenaline recharging him and making him pumped up for the journey ahead. In the distance he saw his destination, he was getting closer... He kept flying, his eyes roving all over the place. Observing his surroundings, the Basian kept going until he finally was close to his destination.

He touched down on the beach. Looking around, he heard various noises coming from the distance. His face became serious, the master was right. There were very powerful beasts here, that much was obvious. He kept walking until he stopped, seeing a human skeleton on the beach. He shivered at the sight. But he couldn't stop, this was training and that was something he was serious about...

The Basian looked into the distance, the Mountain of Fire standing menacingly in the distance.

Guldo had made camp at the base of the mountain, finding a cave that had long been dormant. Thankfully he had packed some food and water before he left, so he didn't have to go out and search for anything. He had gotten a fire going, even going so far as to make a blind outside the cave, so no predators would make him a meal while he was sleeping. Guldo finished his food and gulped down some water, laying down and putting his arms behind his back, his two smaller eyes closed, however his two larger eyes remained open, another precaution. As Guldo fell asleep, he mentally prepared for the journey of tommorow.

Sunlight flashed into his eyes, causing him to jump to life. The Basian groggily looked around, coals in the fire still blazing. He poured water on them and quickly dressed himself, putting his armor around his body and tightening it. He cracked his joints and jumped around, loosening himself up for the day. Once he had done all this, the Basian flew out of the cave, leaving the blind. Hopefully he would be back there tonight if he needed too.

The Basian started flying up, going towards the Mountain of Fire, looking for the cave. As he touched down, he could feel a slight rumble, another volcano like Thor's Peak? If so, this one was much larger and much more dangerous, the Basian walked along the path of the mountain, searching for the cave where his trial was to begin. As he got higher and higher, he looked off in the distance, all around him he could see creatures on the beaches and in the palm trees below. He shuddered at the sights of some of the beasts.

The Basian kept walking, searching for the cave. His body shuddered as a gust of wind blew through the air, the wind had teeth it felt. His body wasn't used to the cold like other races, on his planet the climate was very warm. Only three days of the year became very cold, he shivered again. Reaching into his bag he pulled out a warm cloak, wrapping it around his body he sighed with relief. Beckoning the warmth.

He kept walking, going further up the mountain with each passing step...

The Basian felt as if he had been walking for hours, his legs were sore and tired and he was thirsty. Guldo stopped and took a small sip from the water skin, he was running low. He would have to go back down and fetch more supplies, but he was also losing daylight, damn it all! Why did this journey have to be so difficult? Guldo sighed, stopping. He flew into the air, descending down from the moutain towards the ground below. His body felt weak and tired. He had lost another day, he would have to stay up late tonight, training himself for the journey. As he landed down on the ground, the Basian looked around. Keeping his movements slow and precise, he didn't want to run into any strange beasts. He held his breath, walking until he came to a stream. He pulled the water skin from his pack and filled it up in the stream, even throwing his head into the water, sucking down the sweet crisp clear liquid.

Guldo pulled his head from the water, shaking his head he smiled and raised his finger, it glowed green and then a Finger Beam erupted from it, flying into a branch and breaking it, the quick Basian was already at the tree, catching three eggs with greedy hands. He laid the eggs in his pouch, they looked completely scrumptious. Guldo walked back until he found his small cave, stepping into it with a smile. He laid his pack down, lighting another fire he got a pan and cracked the eggs into it. Using a method he had discovered watching earth television, he made a good meal of scrambled eggs. Guldo dug into them hungrily, polishing them off in record time.

The Basian let the food settle, then stood up. Stepping out onto the beach, the Basian looked up into the stars, he felt so alone. Being by himself on an island in the middle of nowhere. He located the XU-25 galaxy, pointing at it with a smile. Basia, his planet was in that galaxy. He smiled and closed his eyes, a small tear formed in the sides of his smaller eyes. Soon, soon he would be home to his people. The Warrior prayed for his people, hoping that they were all O.K...

With this now done, the Basian walked back into his cave, setting himself down on the ground, he crossed his legs and stared at the wall, his aura flared up around his body, his muscles tensed up and his body began to hurt. He was training himself, getting his body ready to try again for the cave of the Mountain of Fire, he couldn't give up. What bounties could be at the end of this cave? Great things more than likely, great things. The Basian grimaced at the needed pain, his muscles bulging more and more with each passing hour. He grinned through the grimace, his eyes then closed. He had a long night ahead of him, but in the morning. He would conquer the mountain, he would take that mountain and make it his bitch...

This he swore...

Guldo's body felt sore, he had been up very late the previous night doing hard training in preperation for his climb, but luckily he had randomly stumbled upon his sensu bean, that he had gotten off a dead fool a few months ago, that was when he had been week and feeble. He took a small bite of the bean, instantly feeling the rejuvinating effects of it. His energy jumped back up to full, the Basian smiled with relief. He felt his body shoot back up to full energy, he gave a small whoop. Packing his stuff, he quickly moved about and was travelling up the mountain within an hour. The Basian trekked at lightning speeds, never had he felt better.

Guldo had finally reached the top of the mountain, and he was now standing in front of the cave, he felt a slight sense of rage, if only he had found that sensu bean earlier. He could have saved a whole day, the Basian didn't have time to fret about it though, he needed to finish his quest as soon as possible. The alien looked at the opening of the cave, smiling to himself.

He didn't hesitate, the alien walked straight into the cave, smelling the musky air. As he coughed out once and went to walk back to get a few breaths of fresh air, the cave suddenly closed behind him. Guldo's eyebrows rose and he ran over to it and began beating on the wall. It was futile though, the alien had a feeling this was part of the trial, he wasn't going anywhere until it was completed. The alien's two much larger eyes glowed brightly. An awesome trait that his race possesed.

The alien looked around, statues were all around him. They seemed to be eminating energy for they made the alien shiver slightly. He stared at them, his eyes flashing in the dark cave, he focused more deeply on the statues. They appeared to be hooded figures, holding powerful blasts or other various attack poses. Guldo shivered again and then started to walk, even deeper into the cave.

As he walked though, it started to get brighter and brighter. Eventually his eyes flashed once more and then went off, he looked around. Torches decorated the walls around him, what on earth? Lit torches? He kept walking, until he suddenly entered a large chamber. Looking around, he fell aback. Skeletons decorated the room, Guldo stared around then the realization hit him.

This was a sacrifical chamber...

He cursed and flew into the air, having heard a loud noise nearby, he held his breath and hugged the ceiling. Two hooded figures entered the room, hissing and crawling around, as if they were reptile or something. Guldo felt a bead of sweat on his forehead, oh how corny was this roleplay going to get? He held his hands out and caught the bead. After a few more minutes the reptile like guys left the room, Guldo let out a soft sigh. Touching down on the ground he continued to look around, what exactly was he supposed to do?

Guldo kept looking around, his eyes focusing on the walls that were decorating the cave, the carvings were very well done. He studied them, many of the strange hooded figures seemed to be bowing to a very large jewel of some sorts. Guldo smiled at it, he shook his head. Of course, that had to be it. He had spent enough time with Master Roshi too know that the old man loved two things, female ass and money, that was his drive. Guldo knew though that these lizard creatures weren't push overs. His aura flared around his body, he could take them if it came down to it. But better to always be prepared. He kept walking along the torch lit halls.

Guldo turned a corner, then quickly hugged the wall, he could see two of the hooded beasts up ahead, Guldo held his breath. They had there hoods off and he could see the actual beasts. Purple skinned with long gaping mouths, scaly and pure blood red eyes. Guldo grimaced, they were even uglier than he was, and he knew he wasn't a pretty alien. He held his finger up, he would have to put these beasts down quickly, no playing around. He fired a powerful piercing beam, hitting both of them in the head, the two beasts dropped to the ground dead as could be.

With a smirk, the alien kept walking. Kicking the bodies of the scaly beasts as he walked. Turning another corner, he began to notice that each hall was getting fancier and fancier, it was a very simple process. But he was getting closer, he knew this because the images on the wall began to get shinier and more and more images of the jewel began to appear. Guldo began to walk slower, making his aura calm down until it was only glowing around his body.

Turning one more corner, the alien smiled. He was in a large room, a mighty jewel in the center. Hugging the shadows of the wall nearby, he could see hundreds of the scaly beasts surrounding the jewel, bowing and praying to it. Guldo sighed softly to himself, how was he going to get by?

He needed a distraction...

Guldo looked around, keeping his back hugged against the walls. He sighed softly yet again to himself, what on earth and where on earth was he going to find a distraction, he would have to try the simplest one first. He picked up a rock, looking around he smiled. Throwing it up into the air it smacked into the ceiling. The beasts all hissed loudly and began to scurry around, acting hyper and violent. Guldo contemplated slowly, noise... NOISE! The beasts hated noise! Guldo chuckled at this new found knowledge, his hands charged with sparkling ki energy, he cast several ki blasts at the ceiling, they smacked into the ceiling and caused great ruckus.

The beasts all hissed and scurried about, it was a very hectic scene, Guldo took advantage of the moment and blasted out, the jewel was in hands within seconds and he was running down the halls, after a few seconds the beasts all shouted out warning cries. Guldo poured energy into his feet, speeding him up. He ran even faster as he heard scurrying down the halls. Guldo stopped briefly outside one hall and fired four Beam Balls from one hand, blasting into the rocks and knocking them down, Guldo kept running, pouring all his speed into it.

As he reached the door of the cave however it was still closed, Guldo began to panic, he certainly didn't want to get ripped up and the noises were getting closer. He held the jewel up in panic and suddenly the door shot open, not stopping to consider his luck. He blasted out the cave and shot off into the air, his adrenaline kept him going until he was out at sea.

Looking back, he couldn't see anything following him. Breathing a sigh of relief the alien grasped the jewel tightly, flying back to the island, he hesitated naught in grabbing all his stuff and leaving the cave, he took another nibble off his sensu bean, charging himself up for the journey home...

Guldo touched down at the island of the Master Roshi, his fly back had been long but. He wasn't as tired as he had been arriving at the island, matter of fact. He felt rather rejuvenated. He searched around the island, gem clutched tightly. He located his master, sitting on a beach chair reading a magazine and sipping a drink, he walked over to him and set the gem down. The old man turned and grinned at the diamond and at him, the old man said to his young student.

"Heh heh heh heh! Very good Guldo, this is indeed what I sent you out there for, isn't it magnificent? Well, in any case. You have finished my training, so now why don't you take a day off Guldo? You probably are pretty tired from the journey. When your ready, i'm going to teach you a technique, many of my students have longed to know this technique, it is called the Spirit Ball, it's a very powerful technique that I only teach my toughest students. You've earned it boy-o. Now go on, we'll start the training tommorow."

Guldo bowed to his master, taking a deep breath the alien walked into the house. Yes, a day of rest, that would be beneficial to him, Guldo smiled softly to himself, he had really grown in power on his journey, he could feel it in his bones. The alien slowly walked into his room, walking over to his bed he fell down into it. He was exhausted...

Time to sleep...

Guldo fell down into his bed, taking off his armor and his clothes in favor of his black jumpsuit. Kicking off his weighted gear he let out a soft sigh of relief. He felt amazing now, in his nice comfortable bed. The Spirit Ball eh? Sounded like a rather tough move actually. The alien cackled under the covers, with it he would be even closer to taking over this planet. His master was such a fool.
