It had been a few days since the strange incident with a strange alien-type being, and being sucked into a part of hell, as she understood it. The more Bra thought about it, the more it just seemed like a silly dream! But regardless, Bra had plans now! Plans that involved getting off the nearly abandoned planet.

As luck would have it (Or perhaps, as it was intended!) Bra had been planted in front of an independent band of mercenaries, who specialized in setting up safe travel to other planets! Bra was able to get a type of ship ordered for herself, at a steep price, however. But to her, the cost was worth it. While in the building, the half-Saiyan had also shown the coordinates that she somehow happened to have..and found where they were: Planet Vegeta!

Without a doubt, this Planet Vegeta was the Saiyan home-world! It held her father’s name in it, so she didn’t even have a second doubt. For a few moments, the teen girl thought about heading to Earth first, before embarking on the journey to Vegeta. But something inside her told her not to. Besides, maybe Vegeta had some types of shopping even better than Earth!

That was weeks away, however. Her ship still hadn’t arrived, nor would it for about a week or so! So until then, the half-Saiyan was forced to stay on Namek. Her stay on the planet was largely uneventful, and the only person worth mentioning was her trainer: Guru!

The half-Saiyan had almost fogotten the gentle Namekian leader, who took the young female under his wing during her stay on the planet. How rude would it be for her to leave, without saying anything? So Bra quickly decided it would be nice to swing by Guru’s place and let the old Namekian know the gist of her plans. Bra was sure any master would appreciate such a formal goodbye after such a long time.

The wind whipped up around the young female as she slowly rose from the grassy field beneath her, causing the strands of grass to wave around wildly. And then poof…the teen was in the air and flying toward her destination.

The journey to Guru’s house was a quick one. As many times as the female had flown to and from the white house, she had nearly memorized the landscape! Not to mention, the power level of Guru’s bodyguards was easy to detect.

Within half an hour, the lone house that stood upon a lone pillar of earth came into view. It stood out alone amongst the sea of green water and green grass, extending a large shadow that reached far out. The shadow was almost always in the same place, seeing as the suns never set, but merely rotated clockwork.

“Hm? You’re not scheduled for any training today..” Stated one of the Namekian guardians that stood outside of the open house. They were almost always here, preventing possible dangers from waltzing up to their master.

“Oh I know. I just need to speak with Guru, I’m leaving Namek.” Replied the half-Saiyan.

At her words, the pair swiftly glanced at eachother, as if seeking approval from the other. The girl had been coming around for quite a while now, and they deemed her no threat to the elder Namekian now. A short moment later, they nodded in unison.

“You may proceed.” Calmly stated one of the green aliens.

The silent girl disappeared through the doorway and into the ivory white, two story house. In the silence of the tranquil building, each step the Princess took made a slightly louder sound than she would have liked.

“Ahh, Bra..” Said an old, wise sounding voice just as the teal hair appeared through the door to Guru’s chamber. On both sides, and above the Saiyan were circular windows that let in rays of sunshine to light the entire room. In the middle and at the back, a large throne sat, made from the same material as the building itself. On it, sat the large, green Namekian only known as Guru. He was the leader of the race; their father. And not to mention, the wisest of them all!

“Your visit must be important if it doesn’t involve training. Come, little one. Tell me why you have come.” Softly spoke the wise alien.

And so she explained the situation, majority of it anyways. She purposely gave a mere vague description when it came to her encounter with the alien that somehow sucked the two into that strange dimension. It just didn’t seem right to talk about it.

“Ahh, I see.” Mumbled the Elder. After the Saiyan had finished her story, the Namekian simply sat in silence for a few moments.

“You must go on your own path,” Continued Guru. “I expected you to leave someday soon. One as young as you must spread your wings and find yourself,” He finished.

The half-Saiyan smiled at the comment, As she figured, the wise Guru understood completely. It reassured her, made her feel her plan of action was the right thing!

“But before you go, there’s one final step to completing your training,” Added Guru. The pudgy face forced a smile at the young girl, noticeably catching her interest.

“I have one final trial for you. One that will show me how much you have grown in pure strength. There are four villages nearby, each with it’s own guardian. I want you to travel to them and best that guardian in combat,” Said Guru.

”Hmph, some trial that is..”

“But there’s a catch! You cannot fly or use any energy based abilities, nothing but pure strength and skill,” He tacked on with a grin.

Suddenly it sounded a lot harder to the half-Saiyan, but still very doable! She wasn’t about to turn this down, so she nodded in acknowledgement

“Simple! I’ll have it done,” Exclaimed the female.

Old Guru simply nodded in response. Maybe he didn’t feel like making an argument toward the Saiyan, or perhaps he held enough faith in the young girl. Regardless, he stayed silent and allowed her to leave. The teen turned on her heels and left the same way she came out, receiving an acknowledged nod from the two posted guardians.

If there was four villages, and four guardians to defeat, it only made sense if each village was in a different direction! Out of merely a random decision, the half-Saiyan leapt into the air and began flying North. She could sense the prescense of people almost immediately!

“Yay, found one!” Muttered the female. And she was off, aura blazing as she happily sped to the little village.

Minutes later, small white dots appeared in the near distance. Dots that grew slightly bigger with each passing second, popping up from the flat surface that was the ground. Village #1!

Down in the village, Namekian’s moved in a typical pattern to complete tasks as usual. It was a simple life, gathering water for the village, harvesting small amounts of food, and perhaps most importantly, taking care of the sacred trees that only grew on the planet. A very dull life, thought the half-Saiyan. She was thankful for not being a native inhabitant of the planet.

The white houses were soon directly beneath the Princess, so she lowered herself to the ground. At her landing, the female received a few glances, but nothing more. The Namekians were a close knit race, and thus knew of most enemies to their race. Bra was not one of them. Immediately, the female headed toward the one house that was surely the Elder’s, judging by the two Guardians who stood adjacent to eachother, in front of the doorway.

“He-“ Bra started, and was almost immediately interrupted by a voice in the darkness of the hut.

“Ah, you must be one of Guru’s pupils, I take it?” Asked the hidden voice.

In response, Bra simply nodded and stood still. She was sure it was the elder speaking to her.

“I see. Then I take it you’re here on Guru’s trial, no?” Prodded the Elder once more. As he spoke, the wrinkled green face protruded from the shadows. He wore the typical Elder robes, and carried a large wooden staff with a crescent shape up top.

“It’s been a while. I think Snail would be a good match for you, no?” The Elder made a motion to the guardian who stood directly to the right of him. He stood like a statue, arms carefully folded behind his back as the wind flapped at the open chested vest he wore.

“Straight down to business…I like it! But sure, he’ll be fine.” Bra said with a smile. After this, she had three to go, so she hoped it wouldn’t take too long!

Bra made a quick leap back to create a small amount of distance between the two warriors. Meanwhile, the Namekians scattered to allow the fighters room. It was going to be their village Guardian against Guru’s pupil, what an exciting show!

The Namekian warrior lunged toward the half-Saiyan, easily closing in the distance, and attempted to land a single punch, directed toward the soft midsection. Bra tilted her entire body backwards, narrowly escaping the brunt, which would have hit her bare stomach! It just occurred to her, that perhaps it would be wise to wear a type of armor after all. But that was for another time!

Snail continued to press his attack on after the almost-hit, by bringing around a swinging left foot at the females head. The kick soared, but stopped just short of hitting it’s target, it was stopped by the Saiyan’s arms that seemed to be pulled up just in time. Before the Namekian could withdraw his leg, Bra gripped onto the ankle.

Before her opponent could make a counterattack, Bra roughly tugged on the Namekian’s leg hard enough to cause him to raise off the floor. Round and round she spun, her grip tight around the covered ankle. Once she felt there was enough momentum, Bra let go completely of the leg and let the Namekian fly! She timed well enough so that instead of simply being thrown into the air, he was tossed hard into the ground below!

Snail smashed into the ground, creating a small crator at the initial impact point, and then tumbled across the ground like a leaf in the wind. Without relenting, Bra made a quick dash toward her injured foe. The Saiyan blood that pumped through her veins seemed to work overtime now. A rare occasion for the half-Saiyan!

Snail quickly caught his senses with a quick shake off. He was still sprawled out on the floor, but managed to raise up on all fours…just in time to notice the young female feet away! She shot one leg forward, aiming for the Namekian’s stomach, but Snail quickly caught the foot.

“Hah, Guru must have taught you well,” Muttered the Namek through gritted teeth. It took his strength to keep the savage girl at bay. Being able to use ki would make this so much easier!

Seeing as her foot was captured, Bra slammed down her fist directly on Snails head, letting out an audible thud! He fell forward, slamming against the ground roughly. It seemed as if the warrior was down and out for the count.

“I give!” Came a slightly muffled voice. The beaten Snail raised one arm in to let the half-saiyan know he conceded. The action caused Bra to freeze in mid-action, as she was about to unleash another powerful attack.

“One of Guru’s best pupils…no doubt,” Muttered the battered Namekian. His body shuffled a bit, sitting up in an upright position to look up at the girl.

Just then, the village Elder came into view, a smile across his green face. Like most of the Namekians in the small village, he too, kept a close eye on the short lived battle. The elder reached into his jacket and pulled out a simple wooden token, and extended it toward the young Saiyan.

“You have passed this village. Take this to prove your victory here,” Said the Elder. Bra took the token and carefully pocketed it.

“Thanks..it was fun! But I got three more to go, so I’ll see ya!” Excitedly said the half-Saiyan.

In a gust of wind and dust the half-Saiyan sped off toward the next village, which she could already sense. Adrenaline was rushing through her veins, causing the female to eagerly seek the new challenge. It was only moments later before the second village came into view!

Once Bra had landed at the village, she ran her fingers through her teal hair, quickly adjusting the hair that was slightly dishelved by the wind. Like the last village, the small house in which the village Elder lived was obvious. It was only slightly bigger than the rest, and had a single Namekian guardian standing outside.

"Heya, i'm here on a task from Guru," Said the young female.

In response, the Namekian who stood outside simply cocked it's hairless eyebrow, as if inspecting the challenger. This girl hardly looked like a warrior...but if she was a pupil of Guru, he had no choice but to accept. It was his charge.

"Very well. Put this on," Replied the green alien. He produced a pure black sash and tossed it to the female. After Bra caught it, the alien began to put one on itself..over his eyes!

"Here, we shall fight blindfolded." Added the Namekian.

"Hmph, fine," Said Bra. She wasn't sure if Namekians were able to sense things like her, so she didn't quite see it as a handicap. As the Namekian did, Bra raised the black sash over her eyes and tied it up. Whatever the fabric was, it blotted out everything!

"My body is ready." Bra muttered.

"Are you ready, little one?" Asked the Guardian. He was use to fighting blindfolded, having fought many of Guru's former pupils, so this battle should be like many others he did before: Easy.

"Mhm, lets go," Bra said in reply. There was a bunch of low level power levels around, and the one that was the highest, by far, was her new opponent. She had never attempted to fight while blind folded...but I guess there was a first time for everything! She just hoped it wouldn't be her downfall.

Footsteps lightly hit the ground, heading toward the blinded half-Saiyan. But she could hear them, at least. Bra pressed her foot into the ground a little harder than usual and took a leap backward, kicking one foot outward as she did so. She hit nothing.

The Guardian continued his rush, knowing the girl isn't too far ahead. Lunging forward, the Namekian extended his fist at the last moment and made contact! With something hard..and that easily gave way with the strength that was put into the punch. It was one of the white Namekian houses!

"Over here!" Squealed the half-Saiyan. She wasn't exactly sure where over here was, besides not near her opponent. Once putting it in practice, Bra quickly got the hang of sensing where the guardian was. Almost immediately after giving her location, Bra took a leap toward the Namekian, with one leg extended. She connected her foot hard onto his back.

Instead of falling forward, the Namekian winced through the pain and spun around, gripping hard onto Bra's calf, and threw her against the ground. The impact caused the Saiyan to bounce once against the ground before catching her balance with both hands in a standing headstand.

Bra twisted her body around while still standing on her hands, then suddenly propelled herself at the Guardian! Her body collided into the Namekian feet first, forcing it to fling back further than Bra had just momentarily.

The guardian quickly stood up and glanced around, trying to sense the girl, but he couldn't. During usual battles the Guardian had an easy time picking up on his opponent, either by sound or just a feel of where they're at. Not this time!

Out of nowhere the guardian received a vicious blow to the head, knocking the green alien out cold. The next sound Bra heard was the thump of the Namekian's body hitting the ground in defeat.

The fallen Guardian moved slightly, still face down on the ground. He was still alive, at least. Slowly, the sash that covered his eyes was pulled off, revealing the very familiar village ground.

"Good...excellent, fight!" Praised the Guardian.

"Thanks," She responded. With a simple tug, the black sash came off her eyes as well. At a glance, the first thing that caught her eye was the hole that had been punched into one of the innocent houses. Second, the Namekian, who was now rising to his feet stubbornly.

"You deserve this," he said. One hand dived into the baggy pants pocket, revealing a small token like she had received from the last elder. The half-Saiyan took the token and tucked it away with the other. Two down, two to go!

With a slight bow from the Namekian, Bra was up in the air once more and heading toward yet another village. The wind felt nice blowing against her slightly damp skin. How disgusting, she would definitely need to take a shower after this was over!

The air-time seemed to fly by, as Bra caught the glimpse of the next small village off in the distance. Like the rest, there was only a few small houses and one slightly larger. Minutes later when she landed, Bra headed directly to the larger house. Once at the door, she nodded to the Namekian guardian.

"I'm here on Guru's Trial," She said.

"Ah...let us begin, then," Softly replied the green alien. He reached for two long, wooden Bo's that rested gently against the entrance to the Elders hut and tossed one to Bra.

"W-what is this for?" She questioned, examining the long staff. Never before had Bra fought with a weapon...was this battle different from the rest? Judging from the new opponents stance and non-reply, she could only assume yes.

"Very well...there's a first time for everything!"

Bra gripped onto the wooden Bo and took a more defensive stance. How was she supposed to hold this thing? Are a moment of fidgeting with the staff, she simple held the bottom of one end, like a sword. Whereas the more experienced fighter held the Bo somewhere in the middle.

"Hm, doesn't really matter I guess. He's not too powerful so I should be fine."

The green alien made the first attack, first with a quick jab from the Bo, and then he swung it in a wide-reaching arc. In her inexperience, Bra held out her staff to try and block the attack, but instead the impact forced the wood to shoot from her hands!

"Hah, I guess that doesn't work very well!

To get the staff back, Bra made rolling crouch over to where her weapon lay. This time around, she grabbed onto the middle though! Just as she lifted the weapon from the ground, the green alien pressed another attack on her. His staff collided with hers, forcing the half-Saiyan to stay on her knees.

Oh if only she could throw something at him! But since that wasn't possible, Bra fell flat on her butt and kicked her leg in a half-arc, sweeping the attacker on his back. Using the momentary distraction, she rose to her feet and planted the Bo where the Namek was.

Only he managed to move too fast. Successfully evading the staff and launching a counter attack which nipped Bra in the finger...and broke one of her nails! Her blue eyes drifted down to the now destroyed nail for a moment. It hurt! And worst of all, now it was UGLY!

Where Bra had been standing just seconds before was now filled with an empty space, she had disappeared! She re-appeared behind the green alien, Bo in hand. Her teeth gritted as she swung the damn thing, once, twice, three times! All hitting the surprised alien. As expected, he tumbled forward in pain.

"I give! Here...you win!" Cried the Namekian, who tossed the trinket that Bra was not entitled to.

"Hmph. That's what you get for breaking my nail!"

After the Namekian had given up in the battle, he gave Bra the third token she would need. Just one more to go! In what seemed like a flash, she was already at the last village! Outside of the largest house stood a giant Namek. His arms were folded behind his back, his posture like a statue. His muscles ripped like none of the others before. This was going to be tough!

"I'm here on behalf of Guru...I'm doing his trial," Bra said meekly. She felt slightly intimidated at her opponents size.

"Ah, Guru's pupil? Very well. This battle will be like none you have ever faced before...defeat me, and I shall give you the token you rightfully deserve!" Bellowed the large Namekian.

In response, Bra assumed a defensive stance. She was ready for whatever. Well...almost anything! The guardian held out one hand in a balled up fist, the other was held flat.

"Ready? You win 2 out of 3, and you shall pass," He sternly said.

"What! Rock paper scissors? Are you serious!?

It was easy to tell the game now, from the stance he held. Was this some kind of joke?

"On three. One...two...three!"

Bra had no choice put to play along. With each smack of her fist into her own hand, she decided what to pull. The Namekian had pulled Rock...and Bra scissors! She winced slightly, already off to a bad start. Again, they prepared to play once more. Bra pulled Rock, while her opponent pulled scissors this time!

They each had one now. This last battle would decide who won. One...two...three! Bra pulled Scissors, and the guardian pulled paper!

"Lucky.." Muttered the namekian in defeat. Almost grudgingly, he withdrew the token for winning and handed it over to the young female.

"Fantastic! Thanks gotta go!" She said in a hurry. And she was off, heading back to Guru's house on the rise.

---

"Very well. I knew you would succeed, young one." Praised the eldest Namekian. Guru looked over the four tokens of winning, one from each of the villages. There was no doubt no about how strong his pupil had become. It was time to teach her a new ability, he thought.

"Come...here, this will help you in your travels." Said Guru.
