JanembaWC: 1,154 ArquaWC: 1,081 Being on Namek had taught Arqua a lot; like just how many people who aren't aquatic have learned to use their ki to fly. While Arqua could really move beneath the waves, he was pretty slow on ground. Besides that, he was having a really rough learning curve, even with training with Guru. He was contemplating these things by a riverside, confident that the princess was safe under Kizu's protection. He resisted diving into the mellow flow of water. Shaking himself from his reverie, he picked up the trident Guru had given him and repeated the forms he was trying to master. Using the spear was fairly tricky for him, since his head and back fins were longer when they were extended than his arms when they were extended. The spear tended to painfully scrape across the thinner appendage skin when he wasn't consciously holding them down--a difficult habit to overcome, since rigid fins were the main way to intimidate an opponent. He was definitely going to need some practical experience. "Hiyaah!" he yelled as he leapt into the air to complete an attack spin. The move was performed well, but as he landed back on the ground, he caught sight of something strange in the distance. "Huh?" He got low to the hill he was on and crawled to its crest. He thought he saw a large red and purple creature. It definitely wasn't Namekian or Mizusekain. Unfortunately, that was the extent of Arqua's xenology. Curiosity was going to get the better of him. Cautiously, he tucked the spear into the holster he made for it on his back, and tried to stay conspicuously around hills as he shadowed the creature to catch up with it. He soon lost track of it by sight, fearing that he'd reveal himself if he peeked to often. Sadly, that is what foiled him as he rounded a hill too fast, and ran head long into the thing. Bouncing back onto earth, he quickly somersaulted backwards to regain his feet. Staring into the thing's eyes, he saw intelligence. Putting his hope in this, he tried his trump card. "Uh, hi," he said and waved. ___ WC: 362 |

Janemba had been walking along the outer banks of Namek awaiting his leave from the green planet as he could feel the presence of another creature, power level lower than that of his own, but Janemba would not attack or point anything out until his or her intentions were clearer. He continued walking as a grin of ignorance had been creating along his face. The blue creature then appeared in front of Janemba; obviously he wasn't the best person to spy on him especially when he had gotten sloppy and revealed his position so easily. The blue creature had appeared a little different from the Namekians, he hadn’t had green skin or antennas but as a substitute he had gills and something weird of his head. Janemba thought that the creature was indeed interesting, but Janemba’s time was wasted he could have been spending on training…So as a consequence the blue aqua creature would be his training partner. Janemba then shrugged his shoulders as he sprung forward with the element of surprise; he skipped all greetings and whatever, and was prepared to fight. It was obvious that the purple demon had little to no manors and politeness. Hopefully, the blue creature had a strong will, or his life would have been has over as quickly as it had begun. This was a world of despise and chaos, power was needed to succeed, but Janemba had no intent of killing this creature but training with him in a more intense way. Nonetheless, this battle would be an interesting one least to say since the creature didn’t look as if he was an inhabitant of the planet, hopefully he had held a hidden power. Janemba then lunged his light-red fist forward towards the creature as he was going to start off in a slower way than usual not wanting to waste such ki on what could have be proven to be such a weak opponent. Janemba hadn’t seen this guy before so hopefully he had been much more promising than what Janemba was used to seeing on this planet. Janemba then smirked as he jumped back, dust blowing slightly off the ground as he slowly opened his mouth and said, “Hey.” If anything the response was more sarcastic then sincere, hopefully the blue creature had been intelligent enough to recognize his cadence. --- WC: 390 Total: 390 |

Arqua stared at the red creature, waiting for his response. It was a fist. It came at him. Arqua had been training in speed, so he was remarkably prepared to react--truth be told, his nerves contributed to his reflexes. Arqua's coordination, however, was not as honed. He jerked back to avoid the fist, but stumbled on his feet and fell backwards. He rolled his body, and somersaulted onto his knees. He pulled out his trident and pointed it menacingly at this suddenly terrifying opponent. "Hey," the thing said calmly. Arqua held his spear steadfastly. His eyes widened and aggressively glared at the thing that was head and shoulders taller than him. "Hooooo!" he yelled, trying to intimidate the thing. It didn't look like it was working. Well, he didn't attack so powerfully. Maybe he's not so tough.... Arqua pumped his little legs forward while jabbing his trident in a series of quick attacks at the thing's face. While he didn't like to hurt things often, he did want to scare the thing off as best he could. WC: 179 ArquaWC: 541 |

Janemba laughed slightly at the reaction the small blue creature had given to his initial punch, he had pulled out a trident, a small spear… The creature then pointed it within the facial area of Janemba as he attempted to repeatedly poke his face, such a laughable move Janemba had almost stumbled. Janemba then smirked on his face, it had been quite obvious that the creature was going to be a waste of time, but Janemba was more patient than that as he would wait for the battle to develop into full throttle. To be honest, Janemba wasn’t the most patient creature but he knew when to hold and fold as most would say in western terminology… Janemba then quickly tugged his head backwards as the creature went for his final poke, Janemba then ducked and swiftly kicked his foot out forward then Janemba swept it in a 18 degree motion that was sure to take the aquatic creature off his feet and onto the ground. Janemba then laughed as he stood in a idle position looking at the creature, it was obvious that he had more speed than strength based off his initial attacks which were little pokes to the face. Janemba then quickly jumped backwards onto the edge of the land, standing balanced with the breezing lake behind him, the current flowing with the wind; it was a peaceful environment and would serve as a good battle ground. Janemba then looked around at the surrounding mountains and terrain as he had to know what space he had and where was everything since he had been so caught in the moment that he didn’t even know his environment and where he had been currently. Janemba then simply awaited a response or reaction from the little creature, the battle was underway and Janemba was now hoping for more than a training session but a session that would push his limits past expectations. --- WC: 322 Total: 712 |

The demon's leg swept Arqua clean off his feet. His little white boots went skyward. Again, Arqua twisted his body upright to face his foe. The demon had successfully dodged everyone of Arqua's jabs. That was nearing the extent of the fish-man's repetoire. He awaited more blows, but nothing came. The thing just stood there casually looking at him. The thing really must not be malicious, he thought. Well, if this guy just wants to play around there may be one last technique that I could try out. Arqua's legs widened into a power stance. His shoulders were tilted perpendicularly from his foe. He held back the trident in his far arm, and cocked the near one at chin level. You know, like an Egyptian. "All right, guy! You're pretty cool, but watch out for this!" he shouted. Oh yeah, that sounded awesome. Arqua threw his arm forward and spread his fingers out, a yellow surged flashed down his arm for a moment. "Suiken!" A yellow beam of energy shot off of Arqua's arm like a rocket at impossible speeds. The Mizusekain took his chances and ran back towards the river and lake. If this guy turned out to have a bad reaction to this move, he wanted to have his escape plan. He threw another quick "Suiken!" behind him just for good measure. WC: 224 ArquaWC: 765 |

Janemba had watched the creature as he was swept from the ground into the air, in a more comedic motion; it was obvious that this creature was just a joker and not a true warrior. This battle that had been taking place was absurd; it was time for more challenging attacks to be released from the arsenal of Janemba. Janemba hadn’t shown even a glimpse of his full potential already and he was obviously more powerful than the creature. The creature then had figured it was now or never as he released a light yellow attack from his hand, Janemba quickly sidestepped the first attack as he had not seen the second…Suddenly Janemba leaped into the air, dodging the second blast while charging his own. Janemba then released a dark purple beam from his hands as it traveled the space between him and the blue creature destroying the terrain of the beautiful Namek in between it, it was a true demonic blast. Janemba was about done with this battle, it was beginning to bore him but he would continue in pursuit of unveiling the creature’s true powers. Janemba had known that there was more behind this creature than a few weak pokes and a blast or two… Janemba then jumped back as he did an evasive roll changing his position, entering another stealth stance prepared to dodge any incoming attacks sent by the creature. Janemba then took a deep breath inhaling the fumes of Namek, a very peaceful clean place. “Well, I believe it is your turn.” The purple demon said with such ignorance as he gave an interesting smirk again to the creature. Janemba had been hoping that this battle would get well underway with more intensity, which it hadn’t and that had saddened him a bit…Janemba would just sit tight from here and let history unveil itself… --- WC: 309 Total: 1021 |

(OOC: The suiken is an undodgeable, upgraded Mesposo. No biggie, since we're playing like Arqua is useless, but just so you know.) It took a second for Arqua to realize that Janemba had some how dodged his lightning fast ki shots. That's it, I'm outta here, he decided. He was headed straight for the water. He was nearly there. He crouched in his stride, ready to leap, but before he could lift off, an incredible surge of energy engulfed him. His breath was knocked out, and his adapted lungs felt like they were collapsing. The blast's relentless pressure kept all of his limbs out stretched, each catching the brunt of the destructive force. Suddenly, the purple wave washed entirely over him, leaving him skipping across the surface of the lake like a flat stone. He sat up, completely dizzy and nauseous. He pulled his fins in, and squinted his eyes against the pain he felt. Looking back over the river he had just crossed, he saw the river raging, like a boulder had just been dropped in it. On the other side of the river, he saw something like a crater, or a ditch, that was scorched from the soil itself by the power of the energy the demon had shot. THAT thing did that? he wondered skeptically. He then realized that he had come away fairly unscathed. Or had he? He leapt up and did a quick once over. Nothing hurt to bad! He didn't even feel like he had any broken bones! I'm a miracle! Giddy over his unknown strength, Arqua unfurled his mighty head and dorsal fins once again to face his opponent. To his disappointment, however, he was greeted with the composed statement: "Well, I believe its your turn." Just who does this guy think I am? Arqua wondered, slack jawed. Just who is HE? Arqua decided that he had had enough after all. He leapt into the river, and swam away as fast as he could. Hopefully, the thing would let him be. _____ WC: 316 Arqua WC: 1081 |

[OOC: Sorry for that, I usually read the tech. description but I got a little bleh since it was a spar.] Janemba looked at the after math of the battle with such a disappointment as he shook his head and watched the creature scurry away from the battle scarred but still intact enough to leave with dignity. Janemba had no pursuit for this creature and did not have any reason to harm it further than it had already been from the spar so he simply turned his head the other direction and walked away from the battle field. The environment had been destroyed from his blast but it hadn’t been anything severe or planet destroying just a crater here and there, the usual. Janemba then took a deep sigh of boringness since there was now nothing to do and the creature was now gone. He then whistled a tune and continued on his way… --- WC: 133 Total: 1,154 |
