Zorn was actively climbing one of the steep cliff sides in the mountain range on Cauldron. He wanted to use it as a strength and endurance training session to help his training. His plan was to scale the cliff side without stopping to take a break in order to work on his endurance in a new way, while the action of climbing would work on his strength training. Zorn was climbing at a furious rate as he scaled the cliff wall. He was quickly approaching the top of the cliff when his gem began to shine and vibrate slightly. Zorn quickly scurried to the top and pulled himself up onto the flat surface of the top. Panting and out of breath, Zorn scrambled to get the gem out from under his shirt and grasped it tight. When Zorn opened his eyes after grasping the gem he was in his new environment. He peered around, not quite understanding where he was at. He was standing in the corner of what appeared to be a tournament battle arena, but instead of being located on the ground, all that surrounded the arena were large, white, fluffy clouds with nothing else in sight. There was no sight of ground to be seen, and Zorn stood there waiting for his opponent. The wind was blowing hard, but not enough to create large balance issue. Now if the battle made its way to the air, it could serve fairly tough, but on arena level, it was not an issue at all. Zorn stayed in the corner that he was in, suspecting that his opponent would appear soon in the corner diagonally across from him. Zorn crossed his arms, his white wrapping around him and wisping in the wind as it swirled around him. Now there was nothing to do but wait. -------------------------------------- WC=305 TWC=305 |

Bardock stood just a few feet from King Kai between a pair of trees. His blue master studied his form and technique, making sure he was doing everything correctly. The Saiyan warrior stood with his feet apart, and his arms spread wide apart over his head with his palms facing up. He was focusing every ounce of Ki he could gather to form into one large sphere. It was for the technique he had spent so long trying to convince King Kai to teach him. Up until recently, King Kai insisted he wasn't ready, but now was the time. Lend me your energy..., he thought to himself as he finally felt a small surge in Ki adding to the almost microscopic sphere suspended a couple hundred feet in the air above his head. What had developed so far had taken several minutes and a great amount of mental preparation, which was taking a physical toll on the Saiyan warrior. His legs were weakening and his arms began to shake slightly. He was sweating heavily and was quite worn out, but he wouldn't give up. That was until he was given no choice. The blue Gem of Telepathy vibrated lightly in his pants pocket, but it was enough to break his concentration and piss him off. He breathed heavily and then cut off the supply of Ki flowing through him just before vanishing from King Kai's presence. He was transported to an aerial arena with thick white clouds almost within arm's reach. The wind blew slightly, but it didn't effect his balance at all. He was in a corner and decided to look over the edge. There was nothing but more clouds. Whoever interrupted me better be worth it... He looked diagonally across from his corner and saw a familiar face. His fellow Saiyan and common Sparring Realm partner for quite some time. He assumed there was a purpose for their many meetings, and he hoped it meant something good for the two of them. I would hate to have to kill a friend... "Zorn! It's been too long," he yelled across the battle platform. "We have to stop meeting like this." He hoped his own attempt at a joke was enough to make him feel better about having to retry his new technique all over again after their spar. He stretched the weariness from his body and assumed a basic fighting stance. "Shall we?" WC= 410/1,000 |

It was Bardock who was the opponent that appeared in the opposite corner of the arena. The two Saiyans were constantly meeting in the sparring realm and had become quite familiar friends. But Zorn wondered when they would finally get to meet in the real world. ”Bardock, my Saiyan comrade, we have to stop meeting like this. But while we are here, lets spar.” Zorn assumed a balanced fighting stance in his corner as Bardock assumed a basic fighting stance in his corner across from Zorn. Zorn rushed forward at a good pace. There was not a whole lot of need to gauge Bardock for they had sparred so many times before, but he thought it still to be a good idea to start with a physical exchange. This would allow Zorn to see if Bardock had made any noticeable changes since the last time they sparred. Zorn waited for Bardock to come to the middle of the arean, not wanting to limit his space of movement. When they met in the middle of the arena, Zorn began his attack. Zorn did a short right kick towards the back of Bardock's front knee, hoping that the blow would either knock him off balance or inflict enough pain in which Bardock would be hindered enough not to be able to distribute his full weight to his front leg. When Zorn pulled his right leg back and put it down, he drove his weight forward and threw a powerful straight right punch at Bardock. Zorn then quickly pulled his arm back and stepped slightly forward, pushing his right leg through at the abdominals of his Saiyan opponent. Zorn then prepared himself for Bardock's return fires. ----------------------------- WC=283 TWC=588 |

Bardock smirked at Zorn's similar comment to his own and slowly approached the center of the suspended platform. He cracked his knuckles, neck, shoulders and jaw during his slow approach. The loud pops were even unsettling to himself, but it felt good. Zorn was obviously anxious to spar, but he made no immediate move to meet Bardock until he was nearer the center. He finally made his move and met his opponent with a kick toward Bardock's leg. It was made ineffective when Bardock lifted his bent leg to meet Zorn's. At a stalemate with that first attack, Zorn threw a punch into Bardock's midsection, sending him back a half step. The wind was nearly knocked from his lungs, but he had tensed his chest and abdomen muscles to prevent that from happening. Ha, he's been practicing. Bardock was about to throw kick-punch combination of his own but instead took advantage of Zorn's predictable forward kick. He sidestepped the kick and grabbed at the vulnerable leg to tuck it under his right arm. Then, he used his own right leg to attempt to trip Zorn and slam him on his back. He followed it up with a high leap into the air and with great speed, he brought his feet down aimed at Zorn's gut. "C'mon Zorn, let's turn it up a notch!" he said as he unknowingly welcomed every ounce of Saiyan bloodlust within him. Oh shit, he finally thought just a nanosecond before he might crush his friend. He focused his Ki into helping him reverse direction and reduce the potential damage he could have dealt. He then took flight again, into semi-turbulent winds. It helped calm him down before he got lost within himself again. Shit, what was that? WC= 410 + 298 = 708/1,000 |

The straight right kick of Zorn was clearly a predictable move, for Bardock side stepped it and caught Zorn's leg in his right arm pit. Bardock then used a right kick of his own to kick Zorn's left leg out from underneath him and send him crashing to the arena floor. Bardock then leaped into the air and came down with both of his feet, ready to crush Zorn's rib cage. Zorn didn't have time to react, only to curl up slightly and cross his upper body with his arms. Zorn braced for the contact of the attack, but when Bardock's feet hit, the attack was extremely soft, barely jarring Zorn's body. Bardock then took to the air above Zorn. Zorn, confused at what had just happened, flipped himself up to his feet and into a fighting stance. Zorn looked up thoughtfully at his Saiyan brother. What the hell was that? Is he purposely taking it easy on me? ”What are you doing Bardock? Don't take it easy on me! We will never get stronger if we take it easy on one another. That's why we come to the fake dimension to spar. So that it will not take a toll on our bodies. So hold nothing back and neither will I!” Zorn took off quickly, flying upwards towards his opponent, acting like he was going to deliver a hard right upper cut to Bardock's chin, but used a speed teleport and reappeared above Bardock's head. His hands were clasped together over his head, ready to deliver an axe handled blow to the skull of his opponent. Zorn used all the force in his body to deliver the attack, hopefully sending his opponent barreling downward into the arena floor. Zorn was intent on showing his Saiyan brother that he was there to spar and get better, even if they were good friends. ----------------------------- WC=312 TWC=900 |

"You don't understand, Zorn. I almost gave in and I can't afford to do that against a potential ally, even in the Sparring Realm," Bardock replied loudly through the turbulent wind to Zorn but with slight hesitance. Admitting to a moment of weakness was not something that Bardock found easy to do. His many spars and conversations with Zorn in the Sparring Realm gave him reason enough to trust his fellow Saiyan. He hoped that his trust wasn't misplaced, and that Zorn would not betray him when they finally met. When that was done, Bardock knew that Zorn would turn things up, so he waited for the punch to his jaw that would come with some decent power. It didn't happen and instead Zorn vanished in the blink of an eye to reapear above him. He came down with clasped hands and Bardock ducked his head down, taking the hammerblow between his shoulders. The force sent him heading toward the platform head first. He regained his focus just before crashing and was able to reduce the damage to his body. He was on his hands and knees catching his breath and calming the Saiyan bloodlust flowing through him. He dug his fingers into the concrete platform with ease and crushed the debris to podwer in his hands. He then stood up and put both hands in the air and aimed at Zorn's last known position. He fased his palms upward and fired a trio of Suiken beams before taking flight once again. "Zorn, soon we have to meet face to face. I hope to be back on Avalon soon and I hope you can be there too. If not, I'll meet you anywhere in the universe," he called out loudly into the wind. He wouldn't put up a fight anymore. He waited a few moments before having his Gem call him back to reality. Bardock admitted that he couldn't go full out against an ally that he trusted. This struck a cord with Zorn, but it was odd. The two of them had never spoken except for in the sparring realm. After hitting Bardock with the axe handled blow and sending him into the surface of the arena. Bardock got up and fired three Suikens at Zorn. The first two missed but the third was unblockable. It hit Zorn directly in the chest and pushed him back some twenty feet in the air and then the steady galling winds pushed him even more. Finally, when Zorn regained his composure, he set himself down on the arena, holding his aching chest as he looked at Bardock. Bardock mentioned about them hopefully meeting sometime in person real soon and said that he would be on Avalon soon. Zorn made a mental note of that as a possible place that he could go after he was done with his obligations Cauldron. Before Zorn could respond, Bardock vanished into thin air and soon Zorn did the same thing, leaving the floating battle arena behind. But the planet Avalon was not etched in Zorn's brain and hopefulness of meeting his fellow Saiyan. -------------------------- WC=203 TWC=1,103 |
