Now that this awesome game is out, how come no one here wants to talk about it. I get the feeling most of you here may be Modern Warfare Junkies whether mw3 will be a better or worse game than bf3. |

I used to snipe exclusively, and was damn good at it, in Bad Company 1/2. Now, though, it's no where near as good, so I've again focused on Assault and am kicking buttocks. The M4A1 is probably the single best assault rifle I've unlocked - it's so accurate over any range, and has three modes of fire (single, burst and auto). |

I hate how in Battlefield you have to run like 15 miles to the battleground only to get sniped and then start all over again. Or, when you see a tank and want to hop in and some douche runs up, starts the engine and drives off before you can hitch a ride. |

I don't have the sniping problem in bf3 And call of duty is worse. It's multiplayer is full of campers who place themselves at spawn spots in Obscure places, camp there, and pick off someone in 3 seconds who spawns. That isn't even fun. |

Battlefield is too realistic for its own good. As FT pointed out, you run for a good 30 minutes to the small square base that is the battlefield just to get sniped by a camper positioned on the highest, obscure tower on the far side of the map or by that shifty assault rifle camper in the grass picking off people until your team is finally smart enough to realize what's going on and do something about it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game at times, especially with the use of vehicles and airplanes and all that, but there is too many headaches involved, which includes your teammates running you over with a tank because they can't see you, or blowing up a house you're in when you're trying to sneak up on an enemy and thus didn't realize you were in there. Call of Duty is much more practical imo, since it plays as an arcade shooter which means more fast-paced action from the beginning to the end of the match so it kind of hooks you in if you're at least decent at it. Problem is, if you're bad then the game could probably end up being the worst shooter you ever played since people like taking advantage of bugs and camp spots. |

You don't need to run a lot. If you utilize squads then you can pretty much spawn wherever your teammates are as long as their squads aren't full (they are hardly ever full). If that doesn't work for some reason then there is either a high vehicle respawn rate or the 15 mile walk is actually more like 10-15 seconds. Also you should't be running in the open or making a beeline straight for objectives. This is what snipers are looking for in any fps game. I agree wih the douchebag vehicle operators tho. Most ppl don't know how to properly use em' T.T
I used to agree! Until I realized that the only thing I liked about CoD was killstreaks. In bf3 you can fly a chopper/jet/tank, use mortar strikes, "spy planes" (spotting), etc. pretty much whenever... without having to camp |

I'm a sniper (a real one, not a stupid ass little no-scoper and quick-scoper). Call of Duty and Battlefield both offer sniping but Battlefield has more sniping maps now than Call of Duty does. |

I've never found that I have to camp on CoD or Battlefield, but I found more people camped on the latter than the former. Some people get confused and think if you sit there and keep shooting the same two or three people, who keep running the same way that you're camping on any game. I've always been of the view that if someone is stupid enough to walk down the same pathway the two or three times I've been in that area to check it, then they deserve to die. The use of claymores etc usually takes care of this. Both games have their pros and cons, but if you say you have to camp in CoD then it does show you're not as good at the game as you'd like to think. I maintain a fairly solid 2.4ish K/D ratio whilst running and gunning. That said CoD won't do anything until the next generation now, they don't need a new engine when a little polishing to their current one is good enough, EA have to keep throwing money at their FPS titles to make ground on CoD. Activision are just laughing all the way to the bank with the profit they're turning on CoD atm. |

lol anyone know if claymores in bf3 can be set off by ppl walking/running over them? Most of the time I end up having to shoot the claymore so it detonates T.T Also i hate how if you put down c4 you can't detonate it by double tapping square anymore... you actually have to pull out the detonator now >_< |

I like the soldier experience where you do a little running around. I haven't been team killed by a tank or explosive yet. There are ways to get around snipers. They have team death match in bf3 if you just wanna run around racking up kills and not have snipers causing you as much problems. Bf3, imo, is clearly a more superior game with maps that are more urban that don't provide snipers with advantages or good spots to camp. |
