I just bought Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on Amazon. First time i'm trying this Elder Scrolls stuff, just recently caught my attention with Skyrim coming out. Let me know what you guys think of the game, and wether or not you give it a 9.5 as GameSpot did in they're reviews. I also bought Tekken 6!!! I'm excited! |

I resist change as well, but just got my hands on a PS3 and Oblivion. I've never spent any time with a Western RPG before, and it's incredible for me. The character creation is pretty so-so, but I hate changing facial structures. The 3 ways to customize your specialization (race, sign, and class [creating your class is an option and it feels like cheating, my guy's so strong]) are a lot of fun for me. Then the skill development system is a wonderful bonus. The quests are usually typical, but the game play is still very fun for me. Especially how varied the missions are. Sometimes you fight, sometimes you steal, and sometimes you just spy. Most of all, I feel like my guy is actually doing these things, not just hitting event triggers. Enjoy it man. And be like me--get Skyrim when its cheaper and a game of the year game. Then we get the add-ons without the glitches. |

The mod community is the best part of the elder scrolls games which is why its better to get them on PC. Already there is so much stuff out there. Eventually there will be fully fledged DLC that is just as good as what Bethesda release for free. Here's a screenshot from my game with better lighting and other environmental textures and such. http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g56/sant...creenShot52.jpg |

Oh, good to know I'm not the only person who can't afford Skyrim and is still playing Oblivion. ;_; You can't afford anything else when you collect Transformers... |

It isn't worth the cost, despite the fact there is a lot of apple users when it comes down to actual hardcore gamers the vast majority own a windows based system. Most things have workarounds and such, but its only been a recent development that companies have even begun to support the Mac operating systems and that was owed more to the Mac OS being adjusted and changed than the actual games companies themselves. |
