Okay, so it doesn't have to be Anime, but still. I think everyone out there who watches movies, reads books, manga, comics, etc... all have one favorite place. Not necessarily the one that has the coolest characters, the best plot, or even good writing, but a world that they enjoy the premise of and possibly the people, powers, and story within said world, and everyone would want to be there, if they could, for the most part. So what are your top 3 Anime Lifes, and/or lives-in-other-worlds-not-necessarily-anime-but-the-name-sounded-cool-so-balls-to-that. Or you can just name your favorite, whatever works. #3 Would probably be Bleach as a Soul Reaper because I think having a Zanpakutou would be kickass; another part of your soul, essentially made into another tangible being, fighting alongside you. Hells yes. #2 Is likely James Cameron's Avatar. While the plot (even I as a huge fan have to admit) was nothing overly original or special, it had its moments where it surprised you, and the fact that they created such a realistic, alternate, and complete world inside of a V3 hour movie was incredible. It'd be hard giving up my technology, but I would do it to live inside of a world so incredible. #1 Has to be Naruto. There are a lot of things I dislike about this series, whereas the other two I almost completely enjoy 100%, but the things I like about this one are even more significant. The ninja culture, a few of the characters who I really feel come alive as you learn more, and the powers themselves are incredible. While Avatar would likely have more emotional and instantly awe-inspiring aspects to it, I feel that as a whole I'd like this world even more. There are more characters I'd be interested in meeting and a lot more I could probably do, with so much potential for one person to have such huge effect. So, what are your favorite alternate lives? |

Didn't we have one of these before? Hmm... either way: 1) DBZ if I can change how I manifest. I would desire to be a Saiyan. 2) Harry Potter. Pureblood but not Pureblood Supremacist. Best at Transfiguration and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Because I like to think I can change things from the original into something magnificent and I would like to be able to defend against the monsters who threaten the world and my friends. 3) Sword of Truth. Specifically, I want to be a wizard. But not one that is grabbed by the Sisters of Light or the Sisters of the Dark. I also want to be able to somehow have access to both Subtractive and Additive magic, also known as a War Wizard. I would not want to be named Seeker. |

1) Pokemon. You guys... I can't help it. I just loved my gameboy friends so much. 2) DB/ DBZ. Anyone can get become godly. All the myths are true. It's great. 3) Skies of Arcadia. Effin' love pirates, airships, and legends. In all three of these, I recognize a desire for freedom, friendship, and power. I guess that's what I want. |

I've seen so much manga/anime its hard to pick. I'll try my best. 3. Naruto. Being a ninja would be nice and some people hate it but once you get to understand the story and learn about it, it gets pretty cool. Being a ninja and assassinating for a cause. 2. Katekyo Hitman Reborn. Not a lot of people know about it but its pretty cool, pretty much about the Mafia and the powers they gain throughout the series. Hey understanding the elements, and being a hit-man for the number one mafia family in the world seems like a fun job. 3. Air Gear. Well I can't really explain how cool it is, pretty much an item that changes the world called Air Treks, skates that give the user the ability to fly soar the skies. A rider of the skies. I would want to soar the skies as a rider fighting. Those are the ones I'm liking right now. |

1. G Gundam: The promise of piloting a Mobile Suit via my own body motions rather than the typical fighter jet style cock-pit has always been the reason I found the series more entertaining than the normal Gundam series. 2. Katekyo Hitman Reborn/Fairy Tail: Dude, it's a world of hyper-powered assassins battling it out with each other. Vongola for life! As for Fairy Tail it's mostly the concept of being a part of the Fairy Tail guild. They have fun, they're powerful, they build bonds with each other that don't seem to be able to break no matter what happens. Of course being a dragon slayer mage or something similar wouldn't hurt either. 3. Air Gear/Needless: The most real-life like anime I've ever seen. To be able to fight with using just a customized pair of roller blades and pull off amazing tricks that I couldn't do in real life would be amazing. Of course being part of the infamous team Kogarasumaru would be fun too. Needless is all about people living their lives in a post-apocolyptic nightmare with the numerous few that managed to evolve and obtain some sort of super power. I'd love to be one of the Needless with my own ability like Blade's Zero ability or Eve's doppleganger power. And on backup. Assassin's Creed 2/Revelations and/or Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Assassin's Creed, do I even need to explain this one? Gurren Lagann, it's a show about drills bitch! |

3 One of the better man hallucination villains just among my favorite villains are ones who play psychological warfare and what would be more psychologically scarring as beings who manifest as you and tare you part with your fears and true nature? 2 DBZ having the powers and great potential through training and able to ignore stress of society chaos by being too powerful for traditional power hungry lunatics to stop me from aiding the people 1 To be an android super hero alongside Astro Boy (80s or 03 either would be cool) classic and iconic hero with a dear message of life transcending what you physically are and dealing with more that there is a you and that be what matters and to basically live one of my greatest inspirations and fantasies |

Doesn't have to be anime, you say? Let's see then... 3. DB(Z) - The ability to become as strong as you wish as long as you're willing to put forth the effort is something that's irresistable to me. Granted that the average person is unaware of their potential, it's there and that's something that I would love. 2. Marvel Universe - Granted, there was a Cracked article recently about how it must suck to live in a super hero's world and not be one, which made an awful lot of sense? There are a lot of heroes whose origin doesn't involve cosmic radiation or vita rays, but instead involves them trying their goddamn best to do whatever they can and again, being able to accomplish great things. This is something that's very compelling to me. 1. Pokemon. Since I was at least 10, it's been Pokemon. Can't deny it, can't resist it. Pokemon. I'd aim to be a Gym Leader if I could, but really any sort of living in that world would be fantastic. |

i have been asked this question many times in my life (ok not exactly this question but ones very similar to it yes), and my answer has been different every time i am asked. so for number 3 i would have to say: The world of Dungeons and Dragons; the reason why is pretty much the answer most people gave for DB(Z/GT/Zkai) and that is the potential to become stronger through sheer force of will and the freedom i would have in that world. i would also like the ability to learn magic or how to fight in actual full plate armor. number 2: the world of Fairy Tail/Rave Master, do i really have to give a reason for this answer i mean i could practically copy and past my answer for Dungeons and Dragons. number 1(drum roll please): One Piece; Pirates rule, and a true pirate could kill a true ninja because the difference between the two is the ninja focuses on the sneaky sneaky and the pirate focuses on the killy killy. ^^ |

-DBZ -The land of Alagaesia (Inheritence Series) -Outlaw Universe (Outlaw Star) ^ No particular order...All have their own rules and lmiitations (In a sense). Mainly, dbz shows how much a body can endure and become stronger by sheer will. (strength of body) The world Christopher Paolini created is full of the well known Elf, Human, Dragon sorts. It is so well crafted it instantly placed high in my own bracket, obviously. (strenght of mind) Outlaw star, the show is just awesome. IMO. (strength of determination) |

1) Pokémon - I'm a 100% PokéFan, and I'd love to raise all the different forms of Eevee. ^w^ 2) Clannad - The emotional storyline of this anime has captivated me since I first saw it; I love the whole theme of miracles and tragedy in real life and how they make you grow as a person. I mainly choose it because nearly all of the events could actually happen IRL, thus it gives me a deep sense of connection to the story and characters. 3) Fire Emblem - I've always been a major fan of the series, and I'd love to be a skilled magic user and healer fighting alongside the pegasus knight units of one country or another (Ilia from FE6/7 being the most fitting seeing as their warriors, including peg. knights, are mercenaries). Special mentions go to Baka and Test as mentioned by Yume and Disgaea (specifically 3's Nether Institute, Evil Academy) as Deneva said. Another one I'd say is Angel Beats, which I couldn't by principle technically count since the story is about an afterlife, lol. |
