A few days had gone by since Justified Tyranicide's leap over their last test with their telekinetic master Ja'vei. Most of the guys were getting back under gravity training and partner training with one another, except for Jordan.

Jordan was still in the Adalricus, but he had just cut off the power to the gravity machine. Even a tough skinned warrior needed breaks in training at time, for now it would be just himself and Jorlece sparring one another. In any case, he was just waiting around the ship for the next and final test of their telekinetic master. After which he and the rest of his crew would be one step closer to being the first to complete all the trials on the telepathic world.

It was early in the morning, Jordan had just finished sparring with his split half in deca form when he went to grab some chow from the dinning hall. Cordai was in the kitchen cooking up some biscuts and gravy with pork linked sausage.

The room was filled with the aroma of finely cooked dough and meat. Jordan loved the fact he had a crew that was constantly doing their job and for such a low wage to be paid. Jordan tried to give them a paycheck every month, but times were hard in the universe and he could not quite keep it the same every month.

The money was always divided into equal portions for the entire crew, including himself. Upkeep of the ship was costly as well, and his entire crew knew this as well.

"Morning Cordai, hows it hanging"?

"Well, good morning captain. Its going well, got one of your favorite dishes today. Although I do not know why you love it so much. It is so basic, but no matter. Here is a nice good fresh batch for ya sir".

"Thank you Cordai, your too kind. So no complaints or concerns today?"

Cordai just shook his head no before returning to the kitchen to ensure that everything was being processed for the other members on the ship. Jordan nodded to him before he walked away and started to eat his breakfast.

It is time Jordan. Round your troops, one final test is to be done. With this, we shall know if your ready to see the Soothsayer or not. Come to the temple, we are all readily awaiting you and your allies arrival. Finish breakfast and then come along.

"Why he always calling in the middle of eating...", Jordan mumbled under his breath as he took a few mouthfuls of the biscuts and gravy that were on his plate. Within thirty seconds the dish was gone and all that was on it was devoured.

Jordan smirked, "Hey Cordai, it was excellent as always"!

Cordai gave a grunt from the back of the kitchen and Jordan was off to his quarters, where Mikaela was sound asleep and he was to take a shower and freshen up for this final trial.

After quietly sneaking into the bathroom and taking a shower, Jordan had Angelica bring up a communication link with the other ships his comrades were on. "Hey boys, I know it is early and you may be sleeping. Although I doubt that. In any case, Ja'vei has just contacted me and we need to get to the temple for our final trial. Saddle up and I will meet you all there".

Jordan told Angelica to send it to the other two ships as he brushed his teeth. After a few swashes of listerine Jordan kissed Mikaela on the forehead and got himself out of the ship. He jumped out and into the sky, flipping around for a minute before taking direction towards the temple. After all, whats the use in flying if you never enjoy it from time to time...

The sky held the inescapable truth of freedom. No matter what was going on in or outside of Jordan, he could escape to the four winds and let his worries fly away from his shoulders. He often felt the world on his back since his uniting with Andrasta, that an evil was fast approaching...one that not even he could be a threat to. Even with Andrasta's knowledge and combine power.

It seemed with his new knowledge of the universe, that he had seen and felt evil powers from worlds away. That they overshadowed him like a giant oak and a new fern growing underneath its branches and leaves. Struggling to get the sunlight it needed to grow. Jordan needed to improve vastly to make the sort of impact he needed to in this universe. This last test from Ja'vei was another stepping stone to helping him acquire the necessary skills needed to confront such evil.

The forest of illuision was dense below him and ever green. It was like a desert of green that stretched out for eons. Jordan smirked, it was nice to see a planet that was not battle ridden of its life and resources. This planet was much more peaceful than that of Vegeta-Sei. Jordan envied species such as the Kanassans, for the only war they knew was spread out between centuries of life.

Although they trained hard, their natural fighting power was not very great. Their minds was the key to their success in battle, and with this knowledge Jordan knew he would become invincible one of these days. Once he grew from the wardrobe of a child and into a man. At least in the eyes of the world and her ways.

Jordan could feel the minds and powers around him, ever familiar and far more powerful than when they first landed on the planet together. Jordan felt he had a family in Justified Tyranicide, even if he were the youngest member...He was their Lieutenant Marshall. A rank given to him by Zorn, his greatest friend and mentor.

Goku and Kamatayan were true allies and would be with him till the end. He finally found a family outside of Roshin and Mikaela. They were good men. Good Saiyans. Good warriors. And he felt honored to be in their presence and a chance to lead them into battle, whenever it presented itself.

Jordan let his lips spread wide as he felt the temple and Ja'vei own power become close and recognizeable. He slowed his tempo and let the others begin to assemble before going down to the temple below.

As soon as Jordan felt the last of Justified Tyranicide land down at the temples entrance, he followed suit. Ensuring that his team was all accounted for and ready to proceed through this last telekinetic test of wits and intelligence.

His blood was eager to run freely through, as if combat was on the outskirts of time. As if it was calling to him, challenges were often the same feeling Jordan had gotten right before combat. He thrived in this atmosphere and did not think there was a task out there he could not complete.

Jordan landed softly next to Zorn and the rest of his team. With a smirk on his face, "So Ja'vei, what do you have for our final test"?

The Kanassan seemed eager to begin this last test. To advance them to the soothsayer himself, even that was something that only few Kanassans had ever gotten the chance to do. But these few saiyans, they were making headway through the telepathic community and it was apparent in every way. It was time to begin their trial. It was time to end their stay on Kanassa and to do what was needed of them.

Jordan would miss the training with his team, but it was needed and the Universe outweighed their own comfort. It was for the good of the universe they trained hard. To ensure the evil beings of the universe could not continue on their evil path of destruction. To not let them exploit innocent bystanders of whichever planet they decided to visit.

Jordan followed the rest of the team into the temple as Ja'vei began to lay out the tasks that lay in front of the team. Jordan listened like a cat on a ledge waiting for that little mouse to jump out in front of them and collect their reward...

Kamatayan
Legend
Kamatayan along with Jordan, Goku and Zorn had been apart of the trials of will that the Kanassian people had established. These tests were meant to be gruelling and straining, pushing each Kanassian who did them to the very limits of the telepathic and telekinetic prowess. So far though, the challenges had not quite lived up to expectation for the Saiyans.
The Saiyan had been resting out by a waterfall in the forest of illusion. The forest secreted many ancient mountains that had not been traversed in centuries. Kamatayan had found one that he felt was a particularly enjoyable place to take up residence. It was calm, tranquil and the perfect place for him to suppress his desire for fighting and conflict.
All Saiyans had one great challenge, to subdue that bloodlust deep within them. The only way to do this was through two courses of action, either see so much war that they were simply tired of battle. Something that no Saiyan had ever accomplished to date r the alternative was to simply find a way of releasing that pent up desire for conflict through alternative avenues.
Meaning to be a bastion of good and honour in the universe meant that Kamatayan had to engage in this often. Finding ways to subdue the feral beast within, to bring back the modicum of civility that possessed the Saiyan species. As Kamatayan sat there he closed his eyes, he could relax but also further his own training for the first time in his life now that he was able to make use of telekinetic powers.
The Saiyan’s eyes were firmly closed. With his mind he reached out, sat upon a sturdy dense rock first of all his mind formed the visualisation of this rock. The power of his mind almost carving through the unknown space building the shape of the rock. The subtle grooves, the indentations and erosions. Such was the power of his mind he could even feel the weak stress point of the rock, the point where the rain from the branches above had dripped, and the frost of bitter winters had weakened the bonds.
Stretching out further the soft, slightly damp ground of the forest below appeared in his minds eye. Beyond that the muddy embankment of the narrow river that led to the waterfall. It was a deep gorge carved into the soft ground until it hit the clay and solid rock that eroded no further. Elegantly the water tumbled and cascaded over the edge into the pool below.
The solitude was appreciated, but it made the Saiyans skin itch, his blood sear as though he were in pain. As much as he tried suppressing his true nature was not something easily done. He could contain it, but he would never be able to overcome it. That much was already obvious. No true Saiyan would ever be able to deny the presence of these feelings.
Meanwhile, it seemed Jordan was also active and engaging in his own daily activities. He had sent communication to Kamatayans ship. The only problem was with the Saiyan not there and the rest of the crew amongst the Saiyan war ship slumbering no one was aware of it. As the minutes passed away it seemed as though Kamatayan would miss out on the days trial.
Fortunately this is where the telepathic network that all the Kanassian minds on this planet had formed proved its worth. Ja’vei was able to seek out the mind of the Saiyan, even in the most quiet and stilled of life places on the planet you were never alone. At any time a Kanassian could begin tracking your mind down and contact you.
“Kamatayan, it seems you weren’t made aware… we’re awaiting you to turn up for the third part of the trial. It will be the part that forces you all to work together with more focus, determination and effort than both of the previous challenges combined. You have come a long way together but this may well be the thing that causes you all to split and argue amongst yourselves,” the voice of Ja’vei had penetrated his mind.
Kamatayan now knew where he needed to be. He needed to get to the location where Jordan was. He found it strange that he had not heard mention of Zorn and Goku though. Perhaps they were undertaking their own trial elsewhere. Who knew? Kamatayan did not possess the answer to such questions at the moment but that did not concern him for now.
Opening his eyes he gazed around the deep green forest. Its vibrancy drawing him in, the forest was a place of great intrigue. It seemingly possessed sentience at times and was the greatest opponent he could find on this planet. Of course, that was putting Gorgon aside who was now dead.
As ki energies formed a flaring aura around the Saiyan, very much translucent and faint Kamatayan was rising from the ground. With Ja’vei giving him the instructions of where he now needed to be he pulled on his scouter. Instantly it showed him the location of Jordan anyway, his power level being one of the highest by far on this planet.
Surging forth through the skies Kamatayans mind did begin wander back to the fight against Gorgon. The fight itself had ultimately proven fairly straight forward. Despite the enormity of his power level he had been in slumber for a long time. They had caught him weak, probably hungry and nowhere near his fighting prime. Still, what had proven to be beneficial to the Saiyans had been the demise of Gorgon.
The most interesting, and equally, most troubling thing was the village of people they had come across before they even had gotten to find out about Gorgon. That small boy still troubled the mind of Kamatayan. It was as though he was non existent when he tried to read his mind. The vast majority of the villagers seemed to be the same way. They had no connection to the Kanassians telepathic network yet they seemed to have their own.
Just what that was exactly needed to be investigated. However, for now there was something much more pressing in the mind of the Saiyan. It was the next challenge that he was to be facing. He had come through the challenge dubbed the will of stone, entombed in a stone sarcophagus of sorts Kamatayan had to use his own mental abilities, his telekinetic powers to escape. Of course, at that point these telekinetic powers were very weak. It made breaking free a monumental struggle that Ja’vei almost lost his life over.
The will of iron as it were known was to be a very different challenge. This challenge wasn’t quite as literal as the last challenge. It was more about the challenge against an enduring any, persistent but dull and resolute. More a metaphorical challenge of iron. Still, it had proven to be most gruelling. Kamatayan had depleted his entire energy reserves in an attempt to stifle the onslaught from the stone golems.
All he eventually managed to succeed in doing was just reducing them to dust only for more to rise at the behest of Ja'vei. He knew this time that he needed to be a bit more restrained with his energy and power. If he was going to expend his energy so fully then he needed to make sure that it would be successful. For a while he became a liability in the last challenge. A most humiliating position.
Kamatayan made his way down deeper into the temple as Ja'vei had instructed. At the very depths of the temple, far removed from the training and meditation grounds that most of the order of sal'juk would frequent it became increasingly clear this desolate part of the temple served a very different purpose. The air carried a heavy, ancient energy to it. It was like being on a different world entirely.
Soon the world above seemed far removed. Ja'vei gave instruction that directed Kamatayan through a different entrance. The challenge was before them, as individuals they had to make their way through the gauntlet then collectively work together to defeat the end trial. Kamatayan could see the gauntlet before him with a large door at the end. Whatever awaited him was most likely through there.
Several of the temples greatest students descended from the sidelines into the gauntlet. It seemed as though there were three on Kamatayans side. He couldn't be sure how many Jordan would have to deal with. As soon as the door opened before him several large rocks came bolting at the Saiyan. A smirking telekinetic Kanassian behind. Kamatayan swatted two aside but stopped the third with his mind. A struggle ensued over this rock, Kamatayan pushed back and was beginning to propel the rock back at the Kanassian.
The process was taking forever though, Kamatayan lowered his left hand. Charging a small orb of ki, no bigger than an apple, the Saiyan flung it forward. It carried no real damage behind it, it purely had the capability of being a distracting blow. It pinged the chest of the Kanassian. Making him stagger back a step or two. It worked a treat though, his mental grip on the rock was relinquished. With Kamatayan in full control he launched it forth, it crashing straight into the face of the Kanassian, knocking him unconscious.
Forming a powerful kinetic barrier around him with his mind Kamatayan charged forth, breaking through the mechanical obstructs quite easily. The gauntlet quickly fell before the Saiyan. Ultimately being conquered much like any other physical challenge. The Kanassian elders probably disapproved of the way in which he did some of it, but that was of no consequence. His aim was to weave the two arts of ki techniques and telekinetic techniques together to achieve a greater mastery of both.
Kamatayan emerged in a much larger room now. Looking around in awe this ancient arena had been here for countless millennia. So well preserved it seemed as though a lot had gone to keeping this place in top condition. Surely it wasn't used so often that it required it? That was another matter though, the clanking and slithering of something could be heard. At the same time it grated and squealed. From a dark hole in the distance a huge serpent like creature erupted. It's entire body was an amalgam of swords, pole arms, axes and anything metal.
All meshed together cutting an intimidating figure as it cut through the sands of the arena with ease. Kamatayan looked up as it loomed over him. Four of the most powerful telekinetics, including Ja'vei controlled this beast. Considering how difficult it had been against the golems the Saiyan was not looking forward to this.
It had grown late and the moon was full. Letting his aura flare wildly Kamatayan decided it was time to try something a little less conventional here. With his telekinetic powers he brought the rocks forming several non-crucial pillars crashing onto the head of this beast. Most of the stones were sliced by the blades of its body and even protruding from its skull. The debris did little in the way of damage to it.
The four controlling the beast weren't so well protected however. In order to make it easier to Jordan to bring down the beast he projected thoughts into his mind. Kamatayan would run interference with the Kanassians controlling it. If they were under attack then their beast would falter and become weaker, losing its bound strength.
Using his mind Kamatayan hoisted debris up from the remains of the crumbled pillars. Launching it at the Kanassian sages it struck one of them head on. It sent him tumbling as he was damaged by the blow. Kamatayan didn't need to kill them and he kept this in mind, he just had to fragment their concentration to weaken their beast.
The sage quickly returned to his feet and got back to position. It took tremendous focus so he had to ignore Kamatayan and try to get on with his task. However, Kamatayan wasn't going to let up that easily. Finding more objects around the arena to use, even large quantities of sand he began disrupting their concentration and melded mind. The cobra quivered and paused as Kamatayan distracted them. It did not fall apart though, even through all of this pelting. Finally there was only one thing for it, focusing four large rocks he launched them all at the heads of the Konassians. Attempting to render them unconscious.
It did knock two of them out, but the other two returned to their feet still in control of the steel cobra. Still, it was far more sluggish and had lost some of its body now, there was numerous bits of weapons and blades all over the floor. They were struggling and the Saiyans would know it.

Good Old Zorn

Legend
Zorn and his friends had been through the ringer as of late. They had all taken on the challenges of the Ja’vei, including being holed up in dank stone rooms with the threat of it collapsing on their head and killing them. Following that, they had taken on the likes of a small army of golems made of stone, iron, and equipped with spears made of trees. But they had survived and endured through the hardships at every turn, growing ever closer to mastering their ability to use telekinesis. It was a hard ability to master, but they were getting there.

Zorn laid in the darkness of a cold, damp room inside the depths of the Hidden Temple. He laid there easing his mind of everything that had happened and trying to give his mind a break from the grueling tasks that he had completed with his allies. He had put a barrier around him and the room, keeping any mental intruders from entering his mind and interrupting his rest. But the rest would be short lived.

A younger Kanassan student busted through the door of the dark room, letting the light from the hallway enter and temporarily blind Zorn’s eyes which had gotten used to the light of the dark room. The Kanassan seemed to be out of breath from running as he was panting heavily, trying to collect himself so that he could tell Zorn why he had come in the first place.

”Zorn! Ja’vei has been trying to get a hold of you for some time now. When he couldn’t reach you telepathically, he sent me to be a messenger,” the young Kanassan said with a scratchy voice.

”Well spit it out then,” Zorn said with a slight sigh.

”He wants you to come to the deepest depths of the temple to undergo another challenge with your allies. He would like you to come immediately, as your friends are already there and waiting for you to come.”

Zorn nodded and got up from where he laid, exiting the dark, damp room and moving towards the central stair case of the temple. When he got there, he made his way down towards the deepest depths of the temple where he would encounter yet another trial in his quest towards telekinetic mastery. Zorn took the long walk down the stair case before entering a small room where he waited. Wooden double doors swung open, revealing Jorlece and Kamatayan preparing to enter a gauntlet obstacle course that had everything from booby traps to Kanassan warriors and finally a group of sages that controlled a large steel snake made of scythes and metal rings. It would be the final obstacle to overcome to survive the trial.

Zorn entered the room and nodded a quick hello to his fellow Saiyan allies and then prepared to enter the gauntlet shoulder to shoulder with his allies. Each of them kind of went their separate ways and took to the gauntlet in their own manor. Zorn went to the left and went through a tunneled area. It was dark and damp as Zorn had a hard time seeing anything inside the tunnel. Zorn kept his senses up and telepathic abilities ready and sharp. From directly in front of him, a large group of arrows came flying at him. Zorn quickly raised his hands and flattened his palms to the arrows, stopping them with his telekinetic powers. They dropped to the ground as Zorn continued to make his way forward.

As Zorn exited the dark tunnel, three Kanassan warriors with helmets that blocked attacking mental powers worn on their head. Zorn fired three quick Mesposos in an attempt to take them out quickly. But they were unsuccessful as the three brought up a telepathic barrier that blocked the attacks. They all chuckled and smiled at Zorn like he was pathetic. Zorn narrowed his eyes at them and drew into a lower stance, cupping his hands at his right hip. He quickly charged up a decently powered Kamahameha Wave and fired it at the three Kanassans who still had their barrier up. They braced for the impact, but the impact was too much. They flew backwards and out of sight, rendering them useless against Zorn and allowing him to continue on through the gauntlet.

Zorn noticed his allies getting closer and closer to the giant steel snake that lied in weight for them at the end of the challenge. The snake was moving towards them to meet and Zorn needed to distract the snake. There was a large boulder sitting in the middle of the room and Zorn reached out with his telekinetic powers, lifting the boulder high into the air. That is when Zorn caught notice of the sages that were manning the snake from behind it. They were not paying any attention to Zorn, but rather on the snake the attack it was about unleash on Zorn’s allies.

Zorn acted quickly and dropped the large stone directly over the heads of sages. They reacted just in time to roll out of the way. But the distraction made the snake go limp momentarily, allowing Jorlece and Kamatayan to get into a more advantageous location to take on the snake. Zorn took a peak around and located several piles of rocks as well as located several rocks in the wall of room which was deep, deep underground. Zorn got an idea.

”Take him out and I will keep the sages busy while giving you support from here,” he yelled from across the room at Jorlece and Kamatayan.

Zorn enclosed himself in a telepathic barrier and then began to pull up stones and rocks from various locations around the room using his telekinetic powers. He pulled them out and thrust them through the air at the giant steel snake and the sages that controlled them. It was not much, but it would do the trick to allow Jorlece and Kamatayan time to destroy the steel snake before them.

The team had to split up and meet up at the end trial, at the end of the tunnel. Jordan smirked, he knew his team would have the capabilities that would far out do any student of the order. Ja'vei was another story, but the other members were not stronger than Jordan or his team. They would be a good warm-up for the end trial.

Jordan watched as the flames around him faded into darkness and he was now left with his own mind leading him around the bending shroud of mystery. He kept his senses up and his mind clear.

Unfortunately, Jordan did not see the indented stone upon the floor and stepped upon it accidentally. "Shit". Jordan watched as a flow of lava came out from all sides of the walls. Jordan did not know where or how it was kept, only that it was soon coming to consume his being.

Jordan let his mind do the work, he hastily constructed a barrier around him so the scorching lava would not be able to make it past him. He then began to ordain a symphony from the deadly lava.

He let his arms instruct the lava to the sides of the walls and made a little pathway to run through. Jordan felt like he were moses parting the red sea. He then noticed light at the end of the tunnel with a door beginning to close down quickly.

Jordan burst his ki around him and power flew through the stone wall. Rocks were sent flying and debris everywhere. Jordan looked back and noticed a second wall closing up behind him, it was thick enough to keep the lava out, and Jordan released it from his command.

Turning around Jordan noticed two students he had sparred and practiced with from the order. They had swords all around them, Jordan grinned. This would be the second phase. Jordan did not waste anytime.

He picked up a few rocks with his abilities and flung them at the two warriors. The swords came into defense and made an error. Jordan vanished from thin air and judo chopped both students on the base of their neck. He watched them fall to the ground along with their metal swords.

Jordan found the doorway leading into the final chamber and their final test with their master Ja'vei. Jordan could feel his presence along with Kamatayan and Zorn. It had seemed the party had already started, Jordan reached into the mind of Zorn to see what he had missed and any strategy being employed.

Jordan received a flash of images and he caught a quick recap on all that had been done thus far. Jordan could see the snake was weakening and the two sages were left controlling it. One being Ja'vei himself.

Jordan felt the chamber around him, loose swords and rocks were all that lay. Aside from the giant snake itself. It gleamed with sparkling light as the rays hit it from the sides of the walls. Jordan felt enough gravel to construct a golem as he had done in the previous trial. He were going to use it and its hardened skin to rip this beast apart with its bare hands.

Jordan began to formulate the creature while his friends kept the sages and the snake at bay. He quickly gathered all the stone he could find and created a tapistry from them. He even included some of the swords and axes to make this golem even more of a threat to the snake at large.

As soon as the golem had been completed, Jordan put a telekinetic barrier around it, just to ensure it would be incredibly hard for the snake to do any real damage. Without wasting any time Jordan launched his rocky warrior into action.

The snake lunged out at him, not as quickly as it had been doing to the his team earlier. Jordan moved his creation off to the side and caught the beast by its neck. Jordan moved the giant hand into the air picking up the snake as a whole. He then slammed it down into the ground. Blades of steel coming off the giant beast.

Jordan could sense Ja'vei was losing hope along with the other sage. They were straining to keep the snake in tact. Jordan grinned, "Now it is time to die you steel beast"!

Jordan reached around with the rocky warrior's other hand and let it grip itself onto the neck of the beast. With a powerful pull Jordan ripped off the head of the beast from the rest of the body and watched the swords and blades fall all over the chamber. The strain had been too great for either Ja'vei or the other sage to maintain the composition of the snake. Jordan let the rocky warrior stomp upon its remains, bending the swords and blades as they were lifelessly on the ground below him.

The three allies then closed in on Ja'veis' position. "Do you surrender, or should we let this trial end in a physical contest between us? I think we have past your test. Whether it be orthodox or not...", Jordan asked his teacher.

Ja'vei had a smile upon his face and reached out with his mind to the three before him.

You have all exceeded the Order's expectations. Far have you come since your initial stay on this planet. You may now perform the Grandmaster's challenge. And I do believe that the great soothsayer Ru'ketal will be reaching out for you any day now. You have done well my pupils. If you choose to stay and complete the advanced training, we welcome you on this planet any time to do so. It is your choice, as it always has been. But after these next few tests from the greatest minds of our people, there will be nothing left to teach you. You will be masters of your own minds. Do with it only good deeds. Make our people proud. For you have done a great deal in setting a good step for your Saiyan people. Now be off, it is your choice what you do from here...

Jordan nodded his head and bowed. The three warriors quickly exited, all smiling. For they had been able to do what most could not, and they were only mere saiyans. Supposed brainless warriors with not tact or discipline. He was happy, as he was sure his allies were, that they had been able to do great things thus far. Jordan looked forward to completing the training and to be off of the planet in search of other adventures....
